25-0530A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-10 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)
2Pe 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Psa 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
*FAITH
WAITS WITH PATIENCE FOR THE PROMISED WORD TO BE FULFILLED.
I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-7 N-3 SATURDAY_ 65-1127E
48 And, now, we find out his life and trials, and his great faith. Even Jesus, when He came on the earth, He referred to the patience of Job. He said, "Have you not read of the patience of Job?" Faith waits with patience for the promised Word to be fulfilled.
*NO MATTER WHAT TAKES PLACE, LOOK AT
GOD'S PROMISE, NOT HOW YOU FEEL, BUT WHAT GOD SAID.
GOD'S.COVENANT.WITH.ABRAHAM_ CHARLOTTE.NC SATURDAY_ 56-0428
E-27 …..So, you see, you must look at
God's promise. See? No matter what takes place, look at God's promise, not
how you feel, but what God said. Now, that's Abraham's faith.
When he was here, almost now, he
was seventy-five
years old and Sarah, sixty-five,
and He said they was going to have a baby. And Abraham was strong in faith,
giving praise to God, for he knew that God was able to keep His promise. Amen.
And the Bible said, "Every son that cometh to God must be chastened of God." And if we cannot stand chastisement, then we're not children of God; we become illegitimate children. A real child of God doesn't mind the whipping rod, the chastisement, doesn't mind the disappointments; he wades right on just the same. God said so. It's in his heart and nothing can move it, he's just there to stay. And Abraham, that's the way he acted upon God's promise, and that's the way every child of Abraham acts tonight. You believe it down here in this pit tonight?
*NO MATTER WHAT TAKES PLACE, BELIEVE IT ANYHOW.
GOD'S.COVENANT.WITH.ABRAHAM_ CHARLOTTE.NC SATURDAY_ 56-0428
E-28 Believe it. No matter what takes place, believe it anyhow. You see, Christians don't look at what they see; Christians look at things they don't see. And the things you don't see are more real than the things that you see. You see that microphone. It'll perish. I see faith that'll never perish. See? I see love--love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. Every shield of the believer is supernatural. Everything that belongs in the realm of Christianity is worked by supernatural.
*GOD HAS NOT PROMISED US EVERYTHING NICE,
BUT GOD'S PROMISED GRACE TO ENDURE.
GOD.PROVIDED.A.LAMB_ INDIANAPOLIS.IN THURSDAY_ 56-0614
E-27 And now, notice another thing; after that then--after the destruction
of Sodom and Gomorrah... We have to pass over many these great places. And then
when we find then the next thing takes place that Abraham is setting out in the
barren land. God has not promised us everything nice, but God's
promised grace to endure. God's not promised to take us home on a
flower bed of ease. Look at the patience of Job and the disciples, and down
through the age, how men and women has suffered for the cause of Christ. And
here was Abraham sitting upon the barren grounds under his oak, his little
tent; the flock being very poor, because Lot had taken the choice grounds. And
he and Sarah was setting there, and one afternoon while Abraham looked out, yet
holding onto God's promise...
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
