26-0824P_ALL THAT LIVE GODLY

26-0824P_ALL THAT LIVE GODLY

Psa 89:50  Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

Psa 89:51  Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

Psa 89:52  Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Job 14:1  Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1Pe 5:11  To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Mat 5:10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

*GOD HAS A TIME AND A REASON FOR THAT TIME TO FULFILL ALL HIS WORK. THE.REPROACH.FOR.THE.CAUSE.OF.THE.WORD_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-16  SUNDAY_  62-1223

11-2    God has a time and a reason for that time to fulfill all His work. God knows just exactly what He's going to do. We don't. We just have to receive It as He gives It to us. But He knows, and there's nothing going to go wrong with what He--He's planned to do. It's all has to come about. There has to be sometimes rugged and hard things to only bring out the real true nature of the object.

You know, rain is born in a jagged, ragged, lightning strowed, thundering skies. And if we didn't have rain, we wouldn't live. But you see what it takes to bring rain? Thunder, lightning, flashing, anger; and out of there comes rain.

A seed must die, rot, corrupt, smell, and go back to the dust of the earth in order to bring forth new life.

*AND THE BEATER ALWAYS HAS TO BEAT TILL HE--HE SEES HIS OWN IMAGE REFLECTING IN THE GOLD.

It takes the pounding of gold, turned over and over, back and forth, and pounded until all the dross is taken out of it. Not because it shines, 'cause iron pyrite, what is known as fool's gold, shines like real gold; but you put the two together... You set them out to one side, you can hardly tell them apart; but put them together, you can tell it. And the beater always has to beat till he--he sees his own image reflecting in the gold.

*YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO STAND THIS REPROACH IN ORDER TO GIVE YOUR TESTING TO SEE. EVERY MAN THAT COMES TO CHRIST MUST FIRST BE CHILD-TRAINED FOR THE--FOR THE PURPOSE THAT GOD HAS ORDAINED YOU FOR. THE.REPROACH.FOR.THE.CAUSE.OF.THE.WORD_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-16  SUNDAY_  62-1223

13-1    Can you remember the disciples returning back and rejoicing because they figured that they were counted worthy to stand the reproach of His Name? He said, "All that live godly in Christ shall bear a persecution," the reproach of the Word.

You always have to stand this reproach in order to give your testing to see. Every man that comes to Christ must first be child-trained for the--for the purpose that God has ordained you for. And remember, if you could just keep quiet... Remember, if He's called you for this, there's nothing that can keep it from happening. There's not enough devils in torment but what God's Word will be made manifest. You're born for a purpose. And nobody can take your place. You might have impersonators and everything else, but they'll never take your place. That's right. God's Word will triumph. It cannot fail.

There's where every Christian ought to stand, knowing that--that... And trials will come up and seem every way to you. But remember, God has a purpose, and it all will work right.

*THOSE THINGS ARE PUT UPON US, TRIALS AND WONDERINGS; IT'S TESTING TO SEE HOW WE WILL REACT ON A ACTION.

THE.REPROACH.FOR.THE.CAUSE.OF.THE.WORD_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-16  SUNDAY_  62-1223

11-6    And God sets a time and has a purpose for everything that He does. There's nothing happens just accidentally to those who love the Lord and are called according to His calling. See, we are predestinated. And everything works just right for that; because He cannot lie, and He said that was so, that everything has its time, its season, and it has its way; and God is behind every move. And sometimes you think that everything's going wrong. It's up to us. Those things are put upon us, trials and wonderings; it's testing to see how we will react on a action.

*I BELIEVE THAT ALL THESE THINGS HAD A MEANING. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THE POWER? ...THEN HOW DO YOU REACT TO THAT ACTION?

THE.REPROACH.FOR.THE.CAUSE.OF.THE.WORD_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-16  SUNDAY_  62-1223

12-2    I come back and told Brother Fred, went to the church that night in the auditorium and announced it to the people, and the next night it happened. And then standing there when He told me upon some mockers. He said, "It's in your hands. Do with them; whatever you say will happen right now."

There you are. For somebody irreverent, ungodly, and they were making fun and scoffing at the meeting, a young man and a young woman. And he was trying to--vulgar love make with her in the building, and everybody's attention while I was trying to preach. He'd pull her head back and climb up in her lap, and throw her head back and try to kiss her, and going on like that in the meeting, drawing the attention.

And the Holy Spirit said, "Now, he's--they're in your hands. What will you do with them?" There was a holy hush. Everybody set deathly quiet. And I thought, "O God, what must I do?"

Then I remembered if it happened in the warning of the Holy Spirit two days before. I said, "I forgive you."

Now, that was what He wanted me to say. See, because after all, I--I've been guilty, maybe not of that, but I--I--guilty. And guilty of the least is of the whole. So I said, "I forgive you." And there's witnesses setting here now was there then. Then the Holy Spirit fell through.

THE.REPROACH.FOR.THE.CAUSE.OF.THE.WORD_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-16  SUNDAY_  62-1223

12-7    Now, you see, I believe that all these things had a meaning. What would you do with the power? How would you... See, the reaction of an action, something that is come as an act, then how do you react to that action? Do you understand what I mean? What would you do? And maybe all of this has worked up to where we're at now. I don't know. I--I just can't say.

*GOD'S ANOINTED WORD HAS ALWAYS BEEN REPROACHED, AND THAT'S THE REASON IT'S SO HARD FOR PEOPLE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND...

But there's always been some way... And remember, that the reproach of--of the Word has... The Word has always bore a reproach. All through the ages, God's anointed Word has always been reproached, and that's the reason it's so hard for people who doesn't understand would know how to accept that reproach.

1Th 5:16  Rejoice evermore.
1Th 5:17  Pray without ceasing.
1Th 5:18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Eph 1:9  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph 1:10  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Eph 1:12  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Ecc 7:13  Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?
Ecc 7:14  In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
Ecc 7:15  All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.

Psa 9:9  The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Psa 9:10  And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Psa 37:39  But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
Psa 37:40  And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Psa 32:7  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Psa 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psa 32:9  Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
Psa 32:10  Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
Psa 32:11  Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Psa 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:2  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Psa 46:3  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Psa 46:4  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Psa 46:5  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Psa 50:14  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
Psa 50:15  And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Psa 50:16  But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

Psa 34:18  The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psa 34:19  Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

26-0717Bible Study_GODHEAD_PT-1

Deu 6:4  Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Gen 2:18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Gen 2:19  And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Isa 3:13  The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
Isa 4:1  And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

Joh 4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Joh 1:18  No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Heb 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Heb 9:23  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Heb 9:24  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Mat 1:18  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:19  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
Mat 1:20  But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mat 1:22  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Mat 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

26-0821A_IS THERE NOT A CAUSE?

1Sa 17:23  And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.

1Sa 17:24  And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.

1Sa 17:25  And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.

1Sa 17:26  And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

1Sa 17:27  And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.

1Sa 17:28  And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

1Sa 17:29  And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

1Sa 17:30  And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.

Joh 1:35  Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
Joh 1:36  And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
Joh 1:37  And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
Joh 1:38  Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
Joh 1:39  He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
Joh 1:40  One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
Joh 1:41  He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

E-26    So today, I feel, in the face of... Our nation has more membership-Christians than the nation's ever known of. But did you know, last year according to the statistics that there hasn't--the--no seminary--one just barely compared with the year before, but every other seminary, or school, or Bible school fell under its quota of ministers. Where young people with calls in their life to go out into the field, and so forth, that goes for their training, and so forth, how they used to stand in line to be enrolled in the schools; and now you can hardly persuade them in. There's something wrong somewhere. See? I believe with all my heart, without any, hoping not to be saying anything wrong, but I believe it's because of a lack of interest, concern--not enough concern. There's too much concern about making a atomic bomb, too much concern about who is going to get on the moon first, and--and... I ain't caring about getting on the moon. I want to get in heaven, is where I--I want to get.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

E-28    Now, this falling away is a lack of concern for the body of Christ. I believe that maybe the right thing hasn't been presented. So many young students that would take a call in life sees so many failures out here, and really see that the order and program of the day has failed. Not... Christ hasn't failed, but the system that we have created has failed. Christ's program hasn't failed, but the people's system has failed. Now, Christ has a program that we must enter in.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

If you're--know that you're perfectly convinced, then you're concerned about what you're talking about. How can a man preach the Gospel who's not really convinced that he's absolutely got the Truth? How could you do that? But when you are convinced that you know... And how can you be convinced, if it's not according to the Scripture? You must be convinced, and then you're concerned. That's what makes a--you concerned is because you are convinced.

26-0817P_CONVINCED THEN CONCERNED PT-4 (KEEP GOD FIRST ALWAYS)

Joh 1:15  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Joh 1:16  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Joh 1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Psa 115:11  Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:12  The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

Mat 6:32  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

*NOW, THIS FALLING AWAY IS A LACK OF CONCERN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST.

*GOD WON'T HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR BEING A SINNER. HE WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR REJECTING THE WAY OUT.

THE.MIGHTY.CONQUEROR_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  56-0401M

E-18    And He was so rejected by the people, He didn't have a place to die. The earth refused Him, and heavens couldn't have Him because He was coming a sinner, not with Own sin, but with our sins upon Him. He was bearing the sins of the world upon Him, so He was rejected in heaven. And the earth didn't want Him, and they had to lift Him up between heavens and earth, and let Him die outside of heaven and outside of the earth. What a Saviour.

How could you turn down such a Person as that for modern theology, or for the persons of people when you know that you've got to stand in His Presence in that day of judgment to give an account for your life? God won't hold you responsible for being a sinner. He will hold you responsible for rejecting the way out. You can't help being a sinner. You were borned... Your nature's a sinner, but you can help it. Jesus made the way for you.

*AND WHEN YOU FEEL THAT LITTLE BUZZER DOWN IN YOUR HEART WARNING YOU,

HAVE.NOT.I.SENT.THEE_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  62-0124

E-32    And when you feel that little buzzer down in your heart warning you, then you better stop right there and take inventory. Like I was--been preaching along through the nights of the people drifting away from God. When you hear the Word, come right back. It's truly the Word of God. There's a little buzzer rings; you better listen to it. Don't walk across that, 'cause you'll never get any farther till you come right back here where you left Him.

You'll... Where you leave Christ at by failing to obey His Word, right there He will leave you. Or you don't leave... He don't leave you; you leave Him. See, you always leave--leave Him, because He's got you in the path, He's trying to lead you. But see, when you leave Him, then you have to come right back where you left Him at, to start again.

*GOD IS ALWAYS CONCERNED IN LITTLE THINGS, THE SAME AS BIG THINGS.

SPIRIT.OF.TRUTH_  PHOENIX.AZ  FRIDAY_  63-0118

62      Now, I hope this don't sound sacrilegious, but, just to show the--the concern of God. God is always concerned in little things, the same as big things. I want to say this for the benefit of some of these fine preachers. That may be... And I throw myself in it.

63    Now, we would, every one, like to be a Billy Graham, but we... And we'd every one like to be an Oral Roberts. But, we, we're not a Billy Graham or an Oral Roberts. We are God's servant in the field that He has placed us in. See? No matter how little it is, or how great, it's just the same in the sight of God, always the same, to act right in the place where you're at. Always, it's a great thing to follow the Lord.

SPIRIT.OF.TRUTH_  PHOENIX.AZ  FRIDAY_  63-0118

64      I would rather win... or go and have a church with fifty people in it, in the will of God, than to go have five thousand out of the will of God. Sure. God can do more with a man in His will, in one hour, than He could with a man out of His will, in fifty years. See? He is stumbling and staggering, like shooting in the dark. But when a man is really in the will of God, and knows his calling, he should abide there.

*SO YOU MUST REMEMBER; WE MUST KEEP GOD FIRST ALWAYS.

HAVE.NOT.I.SENT.THEE_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  62-0124

E-36    ...Isn't it strange? We'll get sick; the baby will be so sick till we just don't know what to do. Mother will wring her hands. And her and dad will say, "Oh, God, we'll serve You if You'll just heal this baby." And the baby gets well. Then you forget about it. See, see? So easy to forget about it. Yes, sir.

And you'll see a accident that just almost takes your life and you'll say, "Oh, if I would've died... Lord, thank You for sparing me. I'm going to serve You." Then forget about it (See?), until one's done caught you. See? And then--then it's too late. See, you--you always... The people usually forget God. They don't always do it, thank God for that. But mostly it's so easy to forget when everything's going good. Then you know, He said if you would neglect Him, and wouldn't serve Him, then when your calamity comes He'd just laugh at you. You see? So you must remember; we must keep God first always.

*HE'S GOT GRACE IN THERE FOR ALL THESE THINGS; GOT GRACE IN THERE FOR YOUR HEALING.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

E-79    God's got grace there to make you women get your hair long; got grace in there to make you men see that she does it. He's got grace in there for all these things; got grace in there for your healing. That's right. He's God. If it isn't, what are we playing about? What are we carrying on about? We're a sounding brass and a tinkling cymbal, and become a salt that's lost its savour. Certainly.

*BUT IF IT'S HIS PROMISE, HE MUST KEEP IT IN ORDER TO BE GOD. AIN'T NOTHING WRONG WITH GOD; IT'S WITH YOU AND I.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

E-89    God keeps His promise, brother. Certainly He does. If it--if it isn't God... If--if it isn't God's promise, then He don't have to keep it. But if it's His promise, He must keep it in order to be God. Ain't nothing wrong with God; it's with you and I. God promised in the last days that what He would do, how He would manifest Himself in the last days.

*WHEN THE CHURCH IS OPEN, EVERY SOLDIER OUGHT TO BE IN HIS RANK AND IN HIS PLACE.

FORSAKING.ALL_  TEMPE.AZ  TUESDAY_  62-0123

E-16    ... And now, if you have church at your own church here tomorrow night, don't come down. But if you don't have church, we'd be glad to have you. We always want the people to stay at their post of duty, regardless. When the church is open, every soldier ought to be in his rank and in his place.

*JUST WANT TO LET THE DEVIL AND EVERYBODY ELSE KNOW WHAT SIDE HE WAS ON...

FORSAKING.ALL_  TEMPE.AZ  TUESDAY_  62-0123

E-74    I read a little article in the paper the other day, where an old man... He was both deaf, dumb, and blind, and he went to Sunday school every Sunday. And they asked him by braille and said, "Why do you go to church? You can't hear what the preacher says. You can't hear none of the songs. Why do you go to church?"

And he said, "I just want to let everybody know what side I'm on." Just want to let the devil and everybody else know what side he was on, I think that's good. Yes, sir.

*HOW THEY COUNTED THEIR LIVES NOT EVEN NOTHING TO THEM. THEY STAYED ON THEIR FACE DAY AND NIGHT PRAYING TO THE LORD.

PRESUMING_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  62-0117

E-60    Now, we look back and see the Pentecostal church at the beginning. We think about the Pentecostal thirty, forty years ago. We think about the Pentecostal post-Nicene council. We think about them in the early ages of Irenaeus, St. Martin, Columba, Justin, Polycarp, all those sainted men. And we feel that, seeing them, that we got the same blessing they had, so we can perceive that we can just go right on like they do. We perceive that we can do the same things that they did. But we can't do it under these circumstances, under these conditions that the church is in now.

PRESUMING_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  62-0117

E-61    Look what those men did. Look what those churches did, what a sacrifice it was, what they had to give up. How they counted their lives not even nothing to them. They stayed on their face day and night praying to the Lord. They went everywhere they could, and searched for every--every crack and corner they could get to, testifying of the Kingdom of God to the people. And today, we just expect the pastor to bring it in his briefcase, or the evangelist, and "Bless God, I belong to the church.".....

*GOD WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE, MY FRIEND, AT THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, IF YOU DON'T SATISFY THAT THIRST WITH DRINKING AT THE FOUNTAIN OF THE INEXHAUSTIBLE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE.

THIRSTING.FOR.LIFE_  TACOMA.WA  SUNDAY_  57-0728

E-36    And notice, again. What makes you try to have a big time like that? It's because God has made you to crave life. God made you up, your makeup. There isn't a man or a woman on earth tonight, neither there--was there ever a man or woman on earth tonight, or on earth at any time but what had a craving for something, a thirsting for pleasure. And God made that thirst in you. And He made that thirst so you would thirst after Him. And how dare you to try to quench that blessed holy thirst that God has put in your heart to thirst after Him, and try to satisfy It with sin. How dare you to try to quench that holy thirst for something by some vulgarity program on television, instead of going to the Church of the living God. How dare you to pour whiskey, cigarettes, and dope into your body, and use your eyes for lust to try to satisfy that blessed holy thirst that God put in you to thirst after Him. God will hold you responsible, my friend, at the day of judgment, if you don't satisfy that thirst with drinking at the fountain of the inexhaustible fountain of Life. "Let him that's athirst, come. Whosoever will, let him come and drink from the waters of Life, freely." That's what your thirsting for.

You're running from church to church. Every time a little something happens, you run to it. A little "ism" can rise up and you take after it. Oh, it's so good to come to the fountain filled with Blood drawn from Emmanuel's vein, when sinners plunged beneath the flood lose all their guilty stain.

Isa 17:10  Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:

Isa 17:11  In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

Isa 17:12  Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Isa 17:13  The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

Psa 115:11  Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:12  The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
Psa 115:13  He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
Psa 115:14  The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
Psa 115:15  Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
Psa 115:16  The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
Psa 115:17  The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
Psa 115:18  But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.

26-0814A_THE GOD WHO IS RICH IN MERCY

26-0814A_THE GOD WHO IS RICH IN MERCY

Eph 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Psa 103:17  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

Psa 103:18  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

Psa 89:1  Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
Psa 89:2  For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
Psa 89:3  I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
Psa 89:4  Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
Psa 89:5  And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

Israel.
Psa 103:8  The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Psa 103:9  He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
Psa 103:10  He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:11  For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
Psa 103:12  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psa 103:13  Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

*THERE IS NO OTHER, THERE IS NO OTHER THING THAT COULD HAPPEN TO ANY PERSON, SO GREAT, AS TO CHANGE HIM FROM DEATH TO LIFE.

THE.GOD.WHO.IS.RICH.IN.MERCY_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-19 N-2  TUESDAY_  65-0119

36      I want you to notice here of the prophet, apostle, rather, Paul, who--who, how he made mention of this, how, "You has He quickened, who were once dead. You hath He quickened, who were once dead, dead in sin and trespasses; walking after the things of the world, the desire of the flesh, and fulfilling the desire of the mind. Has..."

37    What caused this change, you see? And what caused it, "from one time being dead," to quicken? Quicken means "made alive." There was a change, from death unto Life. There is no other, there is no other thing that could happen to any person, so great, as to change him from death to Life. A man, if he was dying, physically, and could be healed physically, that would be a great thing, but nothing so great as when he is spiritually dead and God has quickened him to Life.

*...BUT YET THE GREATEST THING IS BEING RICH IN MERCY.

THE.GOD.WHO.IS.RICH.IN.MERCY_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-19 N-2  TUESDAY_  65-0119

38      "You once, in times past, dead." You were dead. Even many here tonight, one time, can look back and know that you were dead. But now why aren't you dead tonight, as you were then? You deserve to be that way, because you was a sinner, "but God Who is rich in mercy." That's the--that's the thing, "God Who was rich." All these things that we were, "but God"! That made the change right there, "God Who is rich in mercy"!

39    Oh, I'm so glad for that, that He being rich in mercy. If He was just rich in money, if He was just rich in materials, which He is, but yet the greatest thing is being rich in mercy. Oh, what a great word that is, how that we were once dead.

*IF YOU'VE GOT ETERNAL LIFE TONIGHT, IF WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, THEN WE ALWAYS WERE.....AND THE REASON WE WERE, BECAUSE WE ARE A PART OF GOD.

THE.GOD.WHO.IS.RICH.IN.MERCY_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-19 N-2  TUESDAY_  65-0119

42      Now if you've got Eternal Life tonight, if we have Eternal Life, then we always were, because there is only one form of Eternal Life. We always were. And the reason we were, because we are a part of God. And God is the only thing that's Eternal.

43    And like as Melchisedec received tithes from Abraham, and it was lotted to his great-grandson, Levi, who was yet in the loins of Abraham; paid tithes, for he was yet in the loins of Abraham when he met Melchisedec. I want to speak on that over at the other place, one morning. Who Is This Melchisedec? Now notice that. Way back, God knew this boy coming down. He knowed all things.

44    Now we are a part of God. You always was. You don't remember it, because you were only an attribute in God. You were only in His thinking. Your very name, if it ever was on the Book of Life, it was put there before the foundation of the world. He knew what you were.

*BUT BY UNMERITED GRACE, GOD GAVE US THIS PRIVILEGE TO BE CALLED HIS CHILDREN, HIS SONS AND HIS DAUGHTERS, SANCTIFYING US AS WE CONFESS OUR SIN,...

SIR.WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_  KLAMATH.FALLS.OR  FRIDAY_  60-0708

E-21    Now, through that Blood, He sanctified a Church that He might continue His work, Himself living in that Church. That's the Gospel. That makes Him the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are--are...

We are absolutely unworthy of any blessing. There's nothing that we could do to merit that. But by unmerited grace, God gave us this privilege to be called His children, His sons and His daughters, sanctifying us as we confess our sin, sanctifying the world from us, that He might work His way through us by the Holy Spirit to do and will His work.

*GOD CAN WORK THROUGH EVERY MAN AND EVERY WOMAN THAT'LL OPEN UP THEIR HEART, AND LET THE LORD JESUS COME IN, AND WORK HIS WILL THROUGH THEM.

SIR.WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_  KLAMATH.FALLS.OR  FRIDAY_  60-0708

E-22    Now, He said when I... when He was on earth, "The works that I do shall you also; and greater than this..." The right in... translation--translation there is "more." No one could do any greater, but He'd be in more places. Then God would manifest it in one Man, now He's manifested in the entire Church universal, everywhere. God can work through every man and every woman that'll open up their heart, and let the Lord Jesus come in, and work His will through them.

I don't care if you don't even know your ABC's; just the only thing you have to have is a humble, submitted heart to God, and God will work His will through you. That's right.

*...KNOW HIM IS ETERNAL LIFE, KNOW HIM AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOUR, KNOW HIM AS THE ONE WHO HAS FILLED YOU WITH HIS GOODNESS AND HIS MERCY,...

SIR.WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_  KLAMATH.FALLS.OR  FRIDAY_  60-0708

E-23    You don't have to know a whole lot; you only have to know one Person: that's the Lord Jesus. To know Him is Life. That's the only Person you have to know to have Eternal Life: To know Him, not know the Book, not know the creeds, but know Him is Eternal Life, know Him as your personal Saviour, know Him as the One Who has filled you with His goodness and His mercy, that's sent the world away from you, discharged it, sent it away like the scapegoat in the Old Testament to go into the wilderness to be killed, to be no more.

And the very--the very thing that made you sin and do the things that you used to do has been drove from you by His precious Blood that sanctified you and set you aside for His service, that He might will His will through you, to work through you. It's just as simple... and to believe it.

*ALL THAT I AM, ALL THAT I EVER COULD HOPE TO BE, I HAVE DERIVED FROM HIS GRACE AND MERCY.

HE.GOD.WHO.IS.RICH.IN.MERCY_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-19 N-2  TUESDAY_  65-0119

186      All that I am, all that I ever could hope to be, I have derived from His grace and mercy. I was wretched, miserable, poor, blind; but by grace He has healed me, and I am strong and healthy, by the grace of God. I have good eyesight. I have eat, drink, have whatever I have need of. He never promised to supply my wants; my needs.

187    And if I am cast away at that day, and I knowed... I cannot see where I would be. But if I knew that I was wrong, and God has chose me to be wrong, I would want to stay wrong, and because that I want to do His will. It's, I love Him till I want His will to be done. Now, that's a big statement, but I hope you get it in the way, the spirit I said it in. See, I want to do His will. I ask Him for something some time, He shakes His head "no," I just rejoice so much about that as I can if He said "yes." Because, we always ought to ask, "Thy will be done." His noes is just as... if that's His will, that's just... It's a whole lot better than His yesses, if it's His will to do it. That's when you really love Him. Amen.

*IF HE EVER WAS CONCERNED, HE'S STILL CONCERNED.

THOU.SON.OF.DAVID.HAVE.MERCY.ON.ME_LONG.BEACH.CA WEDNESDAY_  61-0215

E-37    .....But Jehovah doesn't heal. He--He was Jehovah back there, but today He--He's not concerned about it." Oh, what a mistake. He's always concerned. If He ever was concerned, He's still concerned. Yes, sir. He cannot change His motives. He cannot change His attitude. He's still Jehovah. I don't care how many says that He's changed. It's people's changed, but He hasn't changed. The reason that we don't see Him doing those things is because we won't let Him do it. He's willing.

THOU.SON.OF.DAVID.HAVE.MERCY.ON.ME_LONG.BEACH.CA  WEDNESDAY_  61-0215

E-38    We think we'll--we'll exhaust His bountiful blessings. We think, "Well, I asked God to give me my daily bread. I shouldn't ask Him too many things." Oh, my. Could you imagine a little fish about that long, way out in the middle of this ocean, saying, "Wait, I'd better drink of this water sparingly. I might run out someday." Could you imagine a little mouse about that big under the great garners of Egypt, saying, "I better allowance myself to one half a grain of wheat a day. I might run out before next harvest." My. Well, that would... Just multiply that by a hundred billion, and you try to exhaust God's goodness and mercy.

*...ALL THAT I EVER EXPECT TO BE, IS GROUNDED IN CHRIST JESUS, HIS WORD.

THE.GOD.WHO.IS.RICH.IN.MERCY_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-19 N-2  TUESDAY_  65-0119

188      I get to talking about Him, I just can't stop. Oh, He is so real, so real to me! Friends, He's--He's all that I am, all that I ever could be, all that I ever expect to be, is grounded in Christ Jesus, His Word.

189    I'm thankful tonight for the witness of the Holy Spirit, for the Message. I know it might, some might disagree with It, but as I have told you, I am duty bound to a Message. A sign went forth, and God does not send a sign just to show that He is God. A Message, a Voice always follows the sign. Anyone knows that.

Psa 116:5  Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

Psa 116:6  The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

Psa 116:7  Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Psa 116:8  For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

Psa 116:9  I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

Psa 116:10  I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

Psa 116:11  I said in my haste, All men are liars.

Psa 116:12  What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

Psa 116:13  I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

Psa 116:14  I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

Psa 116:15  Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Psa 116:16  O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

Psa 116:17  I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Psa 116:18  I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

Psa 116:19  In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

Psa 85:8  I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

Psa 85:9  Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

Psa 85:10  Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Psa 85:11  Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Psa 85:12  Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

Psa 85:13  Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Psa 107:1  O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psa 107:2  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Psa 107:3  And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

Psa 107:4  They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Psa 107:5  Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Psa 107:6  Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

Psa 107:7  And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Psa 107:8  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Psa 107:9  For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psa 107:10  Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

Psa 107:11  Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

Psa 107:12  Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

Psa 107:13  Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

Psa 107:14  He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

Mat 5:3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Mat 5:5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Mat 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
