Mat 12:38  Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

Mat 12:41  The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. 

Mat 12:42  The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

8    For instance, you Catholic people here tonight, you remember a few years ago, Joan of Arc, in France, the little lady that was really... She led the revolutionary in France, but she was really a--a servant of Christ. What did your church do to her? Burnt her at the stake, as a witch, because she seen visions and was spiritual. The Catholic Church burnt her, as a witch, at the stake, because she was spiritual and seen visions. A few years afterwards, they found out that that woman was a saint. So of course you done great penance, you dug up those priests' body that condemned her and burnt her, and throwed them into the river. Of course, that, you done great penance for that, for digging up these priests' body.

9      Now, in the days of the prophets, what happened? They did the same thing. They didn't recognize them till they had done come, ministry had finished, took out of that the Elected, and then after they were gone they recognized that there had been a prophet among them.

 

*... JESUS, HE CAME TO THE EARTH. ... ABOUT ONE--ONE NINETIETH OF THE WORLD KNEW THAT HE WAS EVEN ON EARTH AT THAT TIME, AND YET THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.

10    Jesus, He came to the earth. Endowed within Him was the Father, God. "I and My Father are one. My Father dwelleth in Me. It's not Me that doeth the works, but My Father. And if I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not." Now, if you notice when He came, about one--one ninetieth of the world knew that He was even on earth at that time, and yet the Saviour of the world. And then they never recognized Who He was, even the church or no one else, hardly, until they had crucified Him, buried, and rose on the third day, before they ever knowed Who He was.

  11      It comes in and goes out, and people does not recognize it until it's passed, and, they, because that it never fits their theology, it never fits the time of the day. See, what it is, they're always living in a glare of another age, always.

12    The reason they didn't accept Jesus, because they were living in the glare of the Law. And when Jesus came, was not contrary to the Law, but come to fulfill the Law, well, they couldn't accept Him because His Message wasn't exactly the way they had it all creeded out, and it was called then traditions. And He didn't come according to their traditions. He didn't keep their traditions. And really He upset it, and tore it up, and--and done things that was contrary to it, insomuch that they thought He was breaking up the churches. And they couldn't receive Him because of His Message. And we all know today that He come exactly in the line of God's prophecy, but they didn't know it then.

 

*WHY DIDN'T THEY, WHY DIDN'T THEY DO IT? BECAUSE THEY HAD IT FIGURED OUT SOME OTHER WAY.

  14      Now, Jesus being there so Scripturally identified by the Scriptures, and the Scribes and Pharisees of that day could not recognize Him. Why didn't they, why didn't they do it? Because they had it figured out some other way. That's where Jesus told them, "Search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have Eternal Life, and they are they that testify of Me." See? Now He come exactly with the Scriptures. But they had it figured out maybe that if He would come, the Messiah would probably do what Moses did, or what Noah did, build them an ark or something, else. But, reason He come the way He did, they hadn't figured out; in the Scriptures with their traditions, did not teach them; so the people were so confused they didn't know what was going on.

*AND THAT COULD BE THE RAPTURE.

39    Now look. You know, the--the Coming of the Lord is going to be a secret coming. He said, "There will be two in the bed, and I'll take one and leave one," that's where the--the night is. "Two in the field, I'll take one and leave one."

40    You know, there is so many people disappear every day, off the face of the earth, that nobody can account for. One of these days it might be that people might say, "Well, you mean the tribulation, the thing is on us now? I thought the Church was to go before the tribulation." They don't realize and understand that the Rapture could take place and they would know nothing about it; it's the secret going of the Church.

  41      And, think, people will go right on preaching, saying they believe they're getting saved, and adding in the church, and building churches, and going on just like they did in the days of Noah, and so forth, and not know it; and the Rapture done past, "it's already happened and you didn't know it." There is hundreds of people disappear from the earth and people know nothing about where they went to, they can't account for it; somebody was going somewhere, they never hear from them no more. And that could be the Rapture.

 

*YOU BETTER BUCKLE UP THAT ARMOR. YOU BETTER TAKE THAT WHOLE WORD OF GOD AND HOLD ONTO IT, AND QUIT THIS HOLLYWOOD ACTING AROUND HERE.

  42      I tell you, friends, just because that we are members of the church, or something like that, that doesn't mean too much to us. You better buckle up that armor. You better take that whole Word of God and hold onto It, and quit this Hollywood acting around here. It's got right into the church, and it's a shame. But Hollywood glows, just makes a bright light, and the church today is trying to compare with Hollywood. Christ is not in Hollywood. Christ is in the individual. Hollywood glow or... Hollywood glares, while the Gospel glows with humility. God ain't in these great fine fancy places and all this stuff that we see. He comes in in humility, in form of meekness and gentleness, pass right through.

43    And if you're acquainted with the Word, you'll see It. He that has an eye, to hear, "let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches," see now, now today, which was identified.

*...THE CHURCH IS GETTING SO WORLDLY AND SO INDIFFERENT, AND SO THEIR MINDS SO MUDDLED UP WITH TELEVISION,...AND STAYING HOME. THAT SHOWS WHERE THE PEOPLE'S HEARTS ARE.

  52      Look at the day we're living in, what's promised for this day. Where are we? We've moved on up. The Pillar of Fire moves, and the children of Israel moved with the Pillar of Fire or they went back to Egypt. We have got to move with the Word.

53    And today we're getting so slothful, the church is getting so worldly and so indifferent, and so their minds so muddled up with television, and We Love Sucy and some of these old things, and staying home. That shows where the people's hearts are. And you can tell them these things are wrong, and they think you're crazy. What is it? "Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God." See?

 

*I THINK THAT OUGHT TO BE THE THRILL OF THE CHURCH, IS THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT; SEEING THE GOD THAT MADE THE PROMISE STANDING AMONG US, FEEL HIS PRESENCE AND SEE HIS WORD...

54    Oh, the greatest pleasure I know of, is to be to pray until I can realize that I'm in the Presence of God, and recognize it. I think that ought to be the thrill of the Church, is the Presence of the Holy Spirit; seeing the God that made the promise standing among us, feel His Presence and see His Word, and see It vindicated. It ought to give faith, to make cripples walk, blind see, deaf hear, dumb speak.

  60      That's the way the church is getting! God has shook every promise in the Bible, before them. Still we just sit and stare, looking. "What? Show me a sign, will you?" And it's going on all the time, right around us. Bringing the Presence of God, it ought to illuminate us. When God made a promise, He stands by that promise. Yes, sir.

62-0123 — Forsaking All

73 But that’s exactly what God requires: forsake all and follow Him. That’s God’s requirement. We’ve got to do it too. Sometime we’ve got to forsake our very thoughts. If our thoughts about anything is contrary to God’s Word, we’ve got to forsake our own thinking and follow Him. And the only way we can follow Him is follow His Word, obey It. And God’s request and God’s requirement is that we forsake all and follow Him.
76 Jesus said, or the Scripture says, “He that loves the world, or the things of the world, the love of God is not even in him.” Right. It takes, forsaking all.

    62-0123 — Forsaking All

77 There, when you are willing to forsake all and follow Him, then, “If ye abide in Me, and My Word in you, you can ask what you will and it will be done for you.” But, you cannot, knowing that those things are wrong. You know they’re wrong.

78 The Bible is against them: card-playing, cigarette-smoking, drinking, wearing immoral clothes. And, then, claiming to be a Christian. If that spirit in you does not condemn that, then there is something wrong with the spirit that’s in you. Because, the God Who wrote the Word is the Word. And the Word is in you, and It condemns you. It’s got to. And if it doesn’t, you’re being deceived. How can the Holy Spirit write something, and you turn around and do contrary to It, and say the Holy Spirit is leading you? You can’t do it. So, smoking cigarettes, drinking whiskey, playing cards, cutting hair, wearing shorts, all these other things, are wrong, sinful wrong, and you’ll never get anywhere until you quit it.

*THERE, THEN YOU’RE FORSAKING ALL, TO FOLLOW HIM.

  62-0123 — Forsaking All

79 .....No wonder we can’t have a worldwide revival. No wonder we can’t have a pentecostal revival. Something has happened. That’s right. We’ve let down the bars, and things are taking place that should not take place. Therefore you must forsake all, to follow Christ.

80 You must forsake your own, your own ideas. You must cope with His Word. And never will the Holy Ghost ever deny any Word It ever spoke. And the Bible is wrote by the Holy Spirit. The Bible said so. And if…The Bible Words is God. “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.”

81 Now the Word is made Spirit, dwelling in us, “For I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world, the consummation.” Now, if that same God that wrote the Bible is in you, you’re not your own, you’re dead to the things of the world, you’re dead to your own thoughts, and “the mind that—the mind that was in Christ be in you.” There, then you’re forsaking all, to follow Him. Not your own thoughts; what He says. “Not My will; Thine, Lord.” Then you begin to line up with God’s Word.

 *SO JUST REMEMBER, AS LONG AS HE’S BLASTING AT YOU, YOU’RE A FEW JUMPS AHEAD OF HIM YET, AND JUST KEEP ON GOING.  

62-0123 — Forsaking All

86 We, sometimes, I think we ministers make it a little too much flowers for the—the convert. “Oh, come to Christ, everything is lovely.” But, you see, it isn’t like that, in the way, that saying that everything is a flowery bed of ease. Because, no Christian…

87 The Bible said, “All that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecutions.” So if—if you’re not suffering persecutions for Christ’s sake, then there is something wrong.
88 If the devil ain’t after you, he’s got you. That’s all, because as long as he’s after you, that’s a sign he hasn’t got you yet. But if he isn’t after you, it’s a sign he has got you. Yeah. So just remember, as long as he’s blasting at you, you’re a few jumps ahead of him yet, and just keep on going.

89 “But all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecutions.” He said, “Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for so persecuted they the prophets which was before you.” That’s right.

90 Don’t go with a hang-down face, and say, “Well, I oughtn’t to have done it. I guess, they—they, I just can’t stand for somebody to talk about me, and say I’m old fashion, I’m this, that, or the other.”

91 Oh, you—you should be exceedingly glad, happy because of it, because you can bear the reproach of His Name. And by keeping His commandments, it caused you to do that.

* YOU FORSAKE THE THINGS OF THE WORLD, AND THE WORLD, AND THE THINGS OF THE WORLD, AND GOD WILL REPAY YOU SO MANY TIMES.

92 But I want to say this, too. (Hurry up, as quick as we can.) God will not, in no wise, be in debt to any man. God won’t be debted to any man. If you have did that for God, forsaken all, God will repay you a thousand fold. Right. God will pay it back. You forsake the things of the world, and the world, and the things of the world, and God will repay you so many times.

94 Let’s take, first, the father of faith, Abraham. Abraham forsook his own land, the property he owned, and everything else. He was called out of Chaldea, the city of Ur. And he forsook his land, his home, his people, and all, and followed God. He had to forsake everything, leave it behind. He forsook his—his land, his property down in Chaldea, in Ur. He forsaken his property, and God gave him the whole promised land. God pays back with a lot of interest. He gave him, up there that day, when He met him, He said, “Rise up, Abraham. Look east, north, west, south, I give it all to you, it’s all yours.”

95 That’s the matter with Christians tonight. God gives it to us, but we’re afraid to investigate it. When you become a Christian, you’re an heir to every promise in the Bible. That’s right. Everything that God promised, is yours. It’s just like a great big arcade, and by one Spirit we’re all baptized into this arcade, which is Christ. Well, if I…If somebody give me something, I’m going to look around and find out what I own.

* HE—HE GAVE HIS STRENGTH. HE BECAME WEAK, THAT HE MIGHT BE OUR STRENGTH.

153 Now, yes, sir, He—He gave His strength. He became weak, that He might be our strength. He is our all sufficient Strength. We don’t need no other strength but the strength of the Lord Jesus. “He is my Strength from day to day. Without Him I would fall,” said the poet. How wonderful!

166 I read a little article in the paper the other day, where an old man…He was both deaf, dumb, and blind, and he went to Sunday school every Sunday. 167 And he said, “I just want to let everybody know what side I’m on.” Just want to let the devil and everybody else know what side he was on. I think that’s good. Yes, sir.

168 What else did Jesus do? He gave and forsook His own Life. He gave His Life, to save yours and mine. Because that He—that He gave His life…He didn’t have to lay it down. He done it willingly. He didn’t have to do it, but He done it willingly, because He could save you. And now He’s the only one that can save you. There’s nothing else can save you.

169 I know there’s a denomination that says that their church saves you. “You’re saved by the church.”

Luk 8:11  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Luk 8:13  They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 

Luk 8:14  And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 

Luk 8:15  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

104      So, my opinion, the first thing that He made was Angels. And then they worshiped Him, and that made Him God. And He started from there. As in previous Messages I have tried to explain it, break it down. And now, then, when Angels began to worship Him, that was before there was even a molecule in the earth. There was nothing. It was all darkness. There wasn't no sun, nor no moon, no stars, no nothing, then He was God. As He asked Job, "Where was you when I laid the foundations of the world, see, when the morning stars sang together, the sons of God shouted for joy? See, now, where were you?" See? That was way back before the earth.

E-17    And in there... Now, see, this is just like a child playing before the door. It was the Son of God, the Logos. And I can see Him out there, and He spake, and said, "Let there be light." And there was nothing. But there was something happened, and a atom turned there and begin to whirl around this a way. The sun begin to come into existence, because He said, "Let there be." There's the authority.

Where did He make it from? I don't know. There was nothing to make it from. But He believed His own Word, and there was light. I can see a piece fly off of that; it's a meteor. After a few million years, or a hundred billions of years, if you want to call it, and it circled way out. I see Him standing there watching it. And it falls down in here. He stops it after it falls a few million years, and let it hang there in orbit. Here goes another one flying off the sun. It goes over here and hangs down, stops it there.

When God spoke, this--the--the--the dirt that you set over tonight, that's God's Word. God just said, "Let there be," and His Word materialized. Is that true? Where did He get the dirt, if it wasn't? He just spoke it, and it's God's materialized Word formed the earth that you set on. Oh, how wonderful, how past finding out. It's by faith that we believe Him. God believed His own Word, and it formed the world. If we had time to go into those things.

The very seat that you're setting on is God's Word made manifest. The very earth that you walk on is God's Word made manifest. The dirt on the ground is the Word of God. Amen. Oh, my. This building is the Word of God; this desk is the Word of God. God created it. He created it with His own Word.

There wasn't nothing to make it out of; He said, "Let there be," and He believed in His own Word. And there was a world come into existence. Oh, my. I'm ready to hang my soul on any phase of it and say it's the truth. Yes, sir. He said, "Let there be" and there was, because He's God. He made His own Word come to pass. He still makes His own Word come to pass. He always did, and He always will. He will stand by His Word; what God promises, God will do.

Luk 2:26  And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

Luk 2:29  Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 

Luk 2:30  For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

Pro 8:34  Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. 

Pro 8:35  For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. 

Pro 8:36  But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. 

*GOD'S WORD TELLS US WHAT WE CAN EXPECT. JESUS.CHRIST.THE.SAME.YESTERDAY.TODAY.AND.FOREVER_  TUCSON.AZ  SUNDAY_  61-0205E

  E-25    .....God's Word tells us what we can expect. And if we receive this Word without any doubt mixed into it, we will receive what we come for. But if you go away saying, "Well now, just as expected, I..." Well, you won't see a thing. But if you come expecting to see the Lord Jesus manifest Hisself amongst the people, you'll go away satisfied. You certainly will. You'll know that something happened.

But if you say, "Well, I... just as I expected, just another, oh, an evangelist standing up speaking," and that--then that's what--all you'll get. You usually get what you're looking for.

So open up your heart tonight, and take down the umbrella, and just, oh, just receive God in your heart.....

 

*AND REMEMBER, MESSIAH ONLY COMES AND MAKES HIMSELF MANIFEST TO THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR HIM.

  E-53    Now, there's only three races of people on the earth. That's Ham, Shem, and Japheth's people; and that day, which was considered Jew, Gentile, and Samaritan. Now, the Gentiles, we Anglo-Saxon, we were heathens in them days. We worshipped idols,  Romans, and so forth, with clubs on our backs; and we wasn't looking for no Messiah. And remember, Messiah only comes and makes Himself manifest to those who are looking for Him.

The reason we don't see these things today, we're not looking for Him. We're looking at our churches, our denominations, our great structures, how much we're growing. Get your eyes off of that. Look to the Messiah. We're at the end time.

 

*AND THAT'S THE ONLY HOPE THAT WE HAVE, THE ONLY SUBSTANTIAL HOPE THAT WE HAVE, IS ON THE WORD OF GOD.

  E-15    And I've often quoted this, that God is obligated to His Word. I like to read just a word or two of It, because what I say will fail, because I'm man, but His Word cannot fail because it's God. What... God is ever called on the scene at any time to make a decision... And the first decision God makes has to be the same decision every time.

Now, there's where you must solemnly base your faith, on THUS SAITH THE LORD. You must believe it, that it's God's Word. And that's the only hope that we have, the only substantial hope that we have, is on the Word of God. And now, God being infinite, and cannot make a mistake, and He's perfect, therefore, all of His... all of His promises must be perfect as He is perfect. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us." the Word itself. So therefore, the Bible is the Word of God. It is God Himself placed upon paper.

For no man is any better than his word. If I can't take a man's word, I just can't have any dealings with him. He must be honest, he must be truthful, and especially as he professes to be a Christian.

 

*BUT IF YOU'RE LONGING, AND LOVING, AND WILLING, AND EXPECTING, GOD IS HERE TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU.

       People come to the meeting; they see the precious Lord Jesus and every power that He used when He was here, move in the people. Some of them say, "I don't see that." No wonder, you wasn't expecting to see it. But if you're longing, and loving, and willing, and expecting, God is here to reveal Himself to you.

 

*THEY HEARD THE BIBLE; THEY BELIEVED IT, ACCEPTED IT, AND IT TAKEN PLACE.

  E-79    .....There come hundreds of people that the day before was on crutches and wheelchairs with seven of them great big African vans, as long as them two posts together, piled plumb high, full of that, coming with their hands up. Been at war with one another in tribes, walking the next day singing, "All things are possible; only believe." Twenty-five thousand healed at one time. Why? They wasn't all indocumated with everything. They were virgin. They heard the Bible; they believed It, accepted It, and it taken place.

*NOW, YOU'VE GOT TO FIND YOUR OBJECTIVE, AND YOUR MOTIVE, AND THEN THE WILL OF GOD.

  E-16    See, you've got to know positionally, first, Christ, where you stand. You are heir to this. It's your personal property; it belongs to you. It's God's gift to you. Nobody can take it away from you; it's yours. "What you ask the Father in My Name, that I'll do." Who can deny anything there? "Verily, verily, I say unto you, if you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' don't doubt in your heart but believe that what you've said shall come to pass, you can have whatever you said." What promises, not limited just to healing, but to whatsoever.

Now, you've got to find your objective, and your motive, and then the will of God. And if it is the will of God, and your motive's right, and your objective is right, then the mountain will fall. But outside of that, you could scream till you got hoarse and died, and never would move. See? Your... First thing, it's got to be the will of God; the next thing, it's your objective in going and do it; and then the motive you have. You want to be some big person...

 

*THAT'S THE LITTLE GROUP THAT GOD SHAKES TO GET READY TO GO.

  E-8    Now, let me warn the people again and again. Do not expect the last shake of God in the church to be a universal thing. It isn't going to be. It's to the church. It's the great things that'll happen with the people in the little minority. That's the little group that God shakes to get ready to go. Them are gone anyhow. See? Now, that's Scriptural and Bible.

 

*OH, THAT'S WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR, THAT GREAT RAPTURE AND APPROACH OF OUR LORD JESUS.

  E-33    But there is a shelter. Oh, it's not made out of steel, but it's made out of feathers: under His wings. Oh, I like that shelter, sweetly, peacefully abide, knowing this: that as soon as--'fore that bomb even gets a whistle to start, on His wings He will bear us up. Oh, that's what I'm looking for, that great rapture and approach of our Lord Jesus. And to see it coming so close, our hearts just jump for joy. To know that, it's a joy.

2Ti 4:7  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 

2Ti 4:8  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Isa 6:1  In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 

Isa 6:2  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 

Isa 6:3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 

Isa 6:4  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 

Isa 6:5  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 

Isa 6:6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

*THEN WHEN WE COME INTO HIS PRESENCE, WHEN A MAN ONCE COMES INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD, HE'S CHANGED FOREVER, IF THERE'S ANY CHANGING TO HIM.

  42    Now, we see He never did ordain us to go make denominations. He never did ordain us to go make creed. But He warned us against such. "For whosoever shall take anything from It or add anything to It, the same will be taken out of, their part, in the Book of Life." See?

So we're not ordained to do nothing but stay with that Word. And if a man is sent of God, he'll stay with the Word, because God can only stand by His Word. See? See, He must stay by His Word. Then when we come into His Presence, when a man once comes into the Presence of God, he's changed forever, if there's any changing to him. Now, there are those who could walk in the Presence of God and pay no attention to It. He wasn't ordained to Life. But if he was predestinated of God, as soon as that first move hits, he knows it. That catches fire.

*WHEN A MAN COMES IN CONTACT WITH GOD, HE RECOGNIZES HIMSELF NO GOOD.

  48    When a man comes in contact with God, he recognizes himself no good. How can a man walk around and brag about how big he is and what all he's done, when he's nothing? He's nothing to begin with. One day down in Memphis, Tennessee, or one of the--I don't think it was in Memphis; it was one of the places there. I was with Brother Davis and was having a--a revival, it might've been Memphis. And we was--went to a coliseum, and they had in there, not a coliseum, it was kind of a art gallery, and they had the--the great statues that they'd got from different parts of the earth, of different, Hercules and so forth, and great artists had painted. And then they had the analysis of a man that weighed a hundred and fifty pounds. You know how much he's worth? Eighty-four cents. That's all he is. Eighty-four cents is all the--all the chemicals you can get out of him. He's just got enough whitewash to sprinkle a hen's nest, and he's got enough, just a little bit of calcium, little potash. It would all sell for eighty-four cents. But we just take care of that eighty-four cents and baby it around.

  49    There was two boys standing there, and one looked at the other one and said, "Jim, we're not worth very much are we?"

He said, "No, we're not, John."

And I said, "But wait a minute, boys, you got a soul in there that's worth ten thousand worlds, that's been--can be redeemed by the power of God, if you'll just let it."

*THE MAN OF GOD WHO STANDS IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, AND KNOWS GOD IS GOD, AND KNOW THAT GOD KEEPS HIS WORD...

  52    That's the way God's soldiers are today. They're trained to the Word. When anything comes up that's got a little polish to it, that's got something else that's not Scripture, they warn their congregation. Anything that's not Bible, anything that's not--that's not God-like, such as having soup suppers, dances, and everything else to pay off the pastors. Those things are wrong. Bunco games and card parties in the churches, it's wrong. And the real watchman on the wall, who's once been in the Presence of God... If he isn't on the wall, if he's just supposed to be on the wall, the wall may not be any higher than the rest of the congregation. But if he's a correct watchman, God raises him plumb up into spheres that the rest of them never gets to. But he watches the flock, and God requires it of him. The man of God who stands in the Presence of God, and knows God is God, and know that God keeps His Word, and watch God perform Hisself and do His duty and keep His Word, then no matter how many organizations or denominations tries to tear it down, he knows the rank and file of the enemy. Amen. He knows what to tell the congregation, a real watchman.

*IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD A MAN'S CHANGED.

  68    Oh, what a great thing it was now to know that he had wrestled through. That he had seen signs of God, he had had dreams about God, but this was one time he was in the face of God, in the Presence of God. Think of it, friends, now as we hurry up.

In the Presence of God a man's changed. Jacob was changed. Now, he could walk with God. Yes, he was a different man than what he was when he went up there. The battle was now over. Yes, sir. And he begin to build an altar. He hadn't been used to building altars, you know. But I tell you, when you come in the Presence of God, you want to build an altar somewhere. You want to find somewhere where you can pray. He built an altar. He was cleansed, and God had won.

*BUT WHEN HE COME INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD, HE RECOGNIZED HE WAS A SINNER. WHAT DID HE DO?...HE HAD MET SOMETHING THAT HE DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BEFORE, AND HE STAYED THERE UNTIL ALL SINS WAS GONE.

  69    ...That's what happened to Jacob. The supplanter, the deceiver, the unrighteous, the unholy, the deceiver, deceived his brother, stole the birthrights, as it was, from his brother took a little dirty way of doing it, such a deceiver. He deceived his father-in-law. Put poplar sticks and made speckled calves, when the cows being pregnated come there, look at it, and the sheep... would see that speckled stick and make speckled cattle, give them birth marks. Deceiver, deceiving his own father-in-law. Deceived his mother, deceived his daddy, deceived his brother, but when he once got in the... He was a shyster. He was running everywhere he went, always on the run from God; he was on the run from his brother. But when he come into the Presence of God, he recognized he was a sinner. What did he do? What did he do? He seen his opportunity. He had met something that he didn't even think about before, and he stayed there until all sins was gone. Oh, my. God got him in His Own Presence.

*THERE'S A HIDING PLACE, OH, A BLESSED HIDING PLACE. IT'S IN CHRIST.

  146    The storms are coming. There's a hiding Place, oh, a blessed hiding Place. It's in Christ. Let us bow our heads just a moment. I want you to think sincerely and solemnly for the next moment.

Have you ever found that blessed hiding Place from the wrath? Remember, there's no two hiding places; there's just One. You might be a good member of some church, which I have no evil to say against. But if that's all you have, and your life isn't compared with the Book of Acts, if the Holy Spirit that you profess to have is not making you live like they did in the Book of Acts, and your life could write another book, you better take warning. If the first vine brought forth a Pentecostal church; the second vine, or branch, rather, out of the Vine, will bring forth another Pentecostal church, with a Pentecostal experience, bearing the same fruits that the first church had.

*ARE YOU ABIDING IN THAT BLESSED, SACRED PRESENCE OF THE LORD?

Are you abiding in that blessed, sacred Presence of the Lord? Have you passed from death unto Life? Are you resting upon some emotion, some psychological affect, or some intellectual speech? Or are you constantly abiding in His Presence, with the fruit of the Spirit in your life: long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness? Can you bear for someone to talk about you, and you love them so much, till in your heart you pray for them? Or is it a selfish little prayer, "O Lord, I know I ought to pray for him, but..." Oh, no, brother. Does that sweetness and love of God, "Oh, sweep over my soul. O Holy Spirit, sweep over my soul." If you haven't found that place of safety, my brother...

1Jn 3:22  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 

1Jn 3:23  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 

1Jn 3:24  And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
