26-0525P_DESPERATIONS PT-3

(HE SATISFIETH THE LONGING SOUL)

Jer 29:10  For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Jer 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:12  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jer 29:13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jas 5:7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Jas 5:8  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Jas 5:9  Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Jas 5:10  Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Jas 5:11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Jas 5:12  But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
Jas 5:13  Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Jas 5:14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas 5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jas 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Luk 17:24  For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Luk 17:25  But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Luk 17:27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luk 17:29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

*AND YOU GET DESPERATE UNTIL YOU GET THE ASSURANCE.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

90      Jacob stayed there until the blessing came, and changed his name from "a deceiver" to "a prince with God." Even the nation was called by his name. Yes, sir! What was it? The results was because he got desperate about the thing. And the next day when he met Esau, he didn't need any guards. He walked right out and met him. See? Why? He had got in desperation till he got the assurance.

And you get desperate until you get the assurance. If you don't, don't even come to be prayed for. Don't even come to go at the altar. Wait till it's between life and death, to you, then something will happen. Certainly, desperation!

* RUTH GOT DESPERATE, ONE TIME ...THERE YOU ARE, DESPERATE! GOD BLESSED HER...

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

91      Ruth got desperate, one time, when she was standing by Naomi. Would she have to go back to her people, to all that she loved, and all that she--she worshipped, her gods and her people, or would she cleave to Naomi? What must she do? And she got in desperation, and she cried out, "Where you go, I'll go. Where you live, I'll live. Where you die, I'll die. Where you are buried, I'll bury... or I'll be buried. And your God shall be my God." There you are, desperate! God blessed her, gave her a son, Obed. Obed begot Jess. Jess begot, through Jess, come Jesus. Because, desperation!

*IN THE HOUR OF HIS DESPERATION, WHEN HE ARRIVED AT THE CITY, HE PRAYED AND SAID, "LORD GOD!" THAT'S THE THING.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

93      Eliezer got desperate when the responsibility was placed upon him to hunt a bride for Isaac. Eliezer of Damascus was a great man. He was favored by Abraham, and he was trusted by Abraham to go out and hunt a bride, a right type of a bride, for his son, Isaac. Through that would bring forth Christ.

94    Now, Eliezer, being a spiritual man, knowed what it meant. The right kind of a woman had to be that--that man's wife. And how would he choose it? In the hour of his desperation, when he arrived at the city, he prayed and said, "Lord God!" That's the thing. When you get desperate, go to praying. "Lord God, let the first maid that comes forth and waters the camel, and gives me a drink, be that." He prayed in the hour of his desperation.

* WHENEVER YOU REALLY GET TO PRESSING, THAT'S WHEN GOD COMES ON THE SCENE, THE DESPERATE HOUR.

WITNESSES_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  54-0303

E-13    .....Whenever you really get to pressing, that's when God comes on the scene, the desperate hour.

*AND YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET ANYTHING FROM GOD TILL YOU GET DESPERATE ENOUGH.

SPIRITUAL.AMNESIA_  BIRMINGHAM.AL  SATURDAY_  64-0411

215      ...Now, friends, whatever you're here for, He knows. And I can prove it to you, It'll take, one by one, bring you up here on this platform, and there won't be one thing that He won't make known. Now that's been since I was a little boy. That gift is not in question. But the question is, can you receive it? Do you believe it? Now He's here. Well, if He's here, then there is only one thing, He keeps His Word. Then just believe that you receive it, and accept it, and raise up and say, "Lord God, I'm here to accept it," and just stay there until it happens.

216    Like Buddy Robinson said one time, in a corn field. He said, "Lord, if You don't give me the Holy Ghost, when You come back You'll find a pile of bones laying right here." He was dead earnest. And you're not going to get anything from God till you get desperate enough.

*JONAH, THROWED OVERBOARD IN THE TIME OF A STORM, IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, IN THE BELLY OF THE WHALE... THERE HE PRAYED IN DESPERATION.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

97      Jonah, throwed overboard in the time of a storm, in the bottom of the sea, in the belly of the whale. All hopes of survival was gone. But it happened to come on his mind that Solomon, in dedicating the temple, said, "Lord, if the people be in trouble anywhere, and they'll turn towards this temple and pray, then hear." And turning over in the belly of the whale, managed to get somewhere to his knees, I imagine, with the vomit of the whale all over him.

There he prayed in desperation. And in that, desperate; just a few breaths of oxygen is all he had in the whale's belly. And in them few breaths that he was drawing, maybe he didn't know which way he was, and said, "Lord, I believe I'm looking upward towards Your temple." And with just a few breaths to go, in desperation, prayed, under those circumstances. Never been done before, but he was desperate. He prayed, and God kept him alive for three days and nights, and delivered him at the place to deliver his message. Desperation!

*... SHE WASN'T SELFISH. WHEN GOD HEARD HER, AND ANSWERED HER PRAYER AND GAVE HER A SON, SHE GAVE HIM BACK TO GOD.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

99      And, notice, she wasn't selfish. When God heard her, and answered her prayer and gave her a son, she gave him back to God. And because that she was willing not to be selfish after God had answered her prayer, He gave her a prophet. Oh, that was a extra blessing. Oh, He's just full of them, those little extra things that He gives. Not only a son, but a prophet. And there had been no open vision for many, many years, in Israel. Samuel, the first prophet, for many, many years, because a mother got desperate; that she could have no children, and she was past the age of bearing, probably sixty, seventy years old. And she prayed with desperation, she must have this child! What was it? God had spoke to her, no doubt.

100    You can't be desperate till God speaks to you. Oh, Church, rise and shake yourself! Pinch your conscience, wake yourself up, in this hour! We must be desperate, or perish! There is coming forth something from the Lord! I know it as THUS SAITH THE LORD. There is coming forth something, and we better get desperate. It's between Life and death. It'll pass through us and we won't see it.

Psa 36:5  Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Psa 36:6  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
Psa 36:7  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
Psa 36:8  They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
Psa 36:9  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Psa 36:10  O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Psa 36:11  Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
Psa 36:12  There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

2Ch 16:8  Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
2Ch 16:9  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
2Ch 16:10  Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
2Ch 16:11  And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
2Ch 16:12  And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
2Ch 16:13  And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
2Ch 16:14  And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.

Mat 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Joh 6:36  But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
Joh 6:37  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Joh 6:38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Joh 6:39  And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

26-0522A_GOD'S INFALLIBLE WORD

26-0522A_GOD'S INFALLIBLE WORD

Act 2:25  For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
Act 2:26  Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Act 2:27  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

2Co 4:16  For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

THE.ENTOMBMENT_  JEFF.IN  ER 55-72  SATURDAY_  57-0420

11    The first thing we wish to look... draw your attention to, is the infallibility of God's Word. God keeps His Word to the letter. And tonight we want to fasten our thoughts on that, that God keeps His Word. We can rest assure of anything that God has said in His Word to be the Truth. And faith does not rest upon the shifting sands of man's ideas or man's theology, but it has its final resting place on the unmovable Rock of God's eternal Word, the Word.

THE.ENTOMBMENT_  JEFF.IN  ER 55-72  SATURDAY_  57-0420

13    Even for Jesus in this great days that we're in celebration, when God really slayed His Son for the sins of the world, was perhaps thousands of years before even the foundation was ever laid. God spoke the Word, and It's a finished product in heaven when God speaks It; it's already finished. Oh, if we could only grasp what that means, what different people we would be. To see in His Books the judgments that is placed in here for the disobedient, it would make a man examine himself hour by hour; and it would make the righteous rejoice hour by hour to read the blessings that God has promised to the faithful. And we can rest assure that every Word will be fulfilled; just anchor our soul on it. It's always been that way.

26-0518P_DESPERATIONS PT-2 (HE SATISFIETH THE LONGING SOUL)

26-0518P_DESPERATIONS PT-2

Luk 16:15  And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Luk 16:16  The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Psa 107:8  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psa 107:9  For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psa 63:1  A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psa 63:2  To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psa 63:3  Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Psa 63:4  Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Psa 63:5  My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Psa 63:6  When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Psa 63:7  Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
Psa 63:8  My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Psa 63:9  But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
Psa 63:10  They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
Psa 63:11  But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

*SIGNS OF HIS COMING SHOULD THROW EVERY MEMBER OF CHRIST INTO DESPERATION NOW, ABOUT OUR SOULS

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

61      Desperation. Signs of His Coming should throw every member of Christ into desperation now, about our souls, about our--our--our welfare for hereafter. Well, what are we going to amount to if we gain the whole world? What are we, what are we living for? What do you work for? What are you eating for? What are you struggling for? To live. What are you living for? To die. And you're not fit to live until you're fit to die. It's true.

*I BELIEVE THAT THE REASON WE DON'T HAVE DESPERATION IS BECAUSE IT'S A LACK OF LOVE, GOD, THE LOVE OF GOD.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

67      I believe that the reason we don't have desperation is because it's a lack of love, God, the love of God. I think that the love of God causes desperation. If God is in you, the Token inside of you, and you see the conditions of times, and people wading in sin the way they are, it'll throw you into desperation. I believe it will.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

68      Now the Word plainly states, if you want to put this down, in Galatians 5:6, that, "Faith worketh by love." See? "Faith worketh by love." And the only way that you can have faith, is have love first. Because, after all, faith is love's incentive. Incentive, that's exactly what--what faith is. It's an incentive to love. Now, you, if you don't have love, you can't have faith. See?

*WHEN WE HAVE GENUINE LOVE, WHAT DOES IT DO? IT PUSHES OUR FAITH OUT ON THE BATTLEFRONT FOR GOD.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

71      Now what if something has got to be done for your wife? Why, it'd throw you into desperation to get it done. What if somebody says your wife's got cancer? What if somebody says your--your wife's got TB, and she is fixing to die? Yet, you, you'll--you'll do anything. See, it'll throw you into desperation.

72    And that's the same thing that it is. We must have love before we can have faith. And faith... When we have genuine love, what does it do? It pushes our faith out on the battlefront for God. See? Genuine godly love for God and for His Word and for His people, will push faith out there. Love just takes a hold of faith, and just, "Come on, let's go!" And out it goes, 'cause that's what love does.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

73      John 14:23, Jesus said, "If a man loves Me, he'll keep My Words." Now you can't keep His Words without having faith in what He said. So, you see, if he loves God, then he keeps God's Word. If He said, "I'm the Lord that healed thee," he believes that. Love makes him believe it, because love dominates all. "Though I speak with tongue of man and Angels, have not love, it's nothing, see. Though I have faith to move mountains, and have not love, it's nothing." Love dominates all, 'cause God is love, a God of love. Now, yes, sir! If Jesus said, "If a man loves Me, he will keep My Words."

*... GOD WILL MEET A DESPERATE SOUL.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

74      We know it is true that God will meet a desperate soul. Now, we all know that. But it usually takes something to drive us into that, to that despair, to the desperation. It takes something to do it.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

75      We find out, in James 5:15, that the Bible said that. "The effectual fervent," that's desperation, "effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. When a righteous man, a good man, gets in travail," or soul travel, or travail, either one. I--I think "travel" is a better word. Travail, or travel, either which one you want to call it. But when a--a--a soul gets in--in desperation, in travailing, an effectual fervent prayer of a man that can show the Token, it does something. See?

*AND I LOVE YOU WELL ENOUGH THAT I'LL PRAY FOR YOU, AND YOU PRAY FOR ME; AND WE'LL STAY WITH IT, WITH EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER, UNTIL IT'S ANSWERED. THAT'S, THAT'S DESPERATION.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

76      Notice what the Bible said here also, in James 16, 5:16, said, if... "Confessing our faults," getting right, making ready for it, "confess our faults one to another." Having no--no faults... Ask people to pray for you, confessing our faults one to another, and praying one for the other. There you are. With love, love, that I got confidence I can confess to you my wrong; and you can confess to me your wrong. And I love you well enough that I'll pray for you, and you pray for me; and we'll stay with it, with effectual fervent prayer, until it's answered. That's, that's desperation. That's what we should have all the time.

*... HOW THAT THE CHILD, AFTER IT WAS BORN IN THE FAMILY, BECOME A SON. IT HAD RIGHTS TO THE BIRTHRIGHT, BUT IT HAD TO BE PROVEN, CHILD-TRAINED.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

79      Pentecost, there is where you failed! You thought because you were born of the Spirit, born of the Spirit of God, the Birthright, that settled it. But it only starts it. You remember in the message of--of Hear Ye Him, how that the child, after it was born in the family, become a son. It had rights to the birthright, but it had to be proven, child-trained. And then if it did not prove out to be a obedient child to the father's will, then it must be, well, it did not get the--the... was not the... become heir. It heired nothing, yet it was a son, but he heired nothing if he wasn't interested in the father's work.

80    And so when the Holy Ghost fell upon the Pentecostal people and they begin to restore back the gifts and things that was in the church; they thought, because they were born of the Spirit, that settled it. But, you see, there is a placing of a son. And after this son proved to be a real son, then he was taken in a public place, and then was set up, and changed robes, and set up there; and then there was a placing of the son, that he had heir of everything the father had.

* UNTIL YOU GET TO THAT PLACE, UNTIL THE WHOLE CHURCH GETS TO A PLACE, THAT IT'S BETWEEN DEATH AND LIFE, YOU'VE GOT TO HAVE IT NOW OR PERISH, THEN GOD WILL MOVE ON THE SCENE.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

85      There may be men and women setting here tonight, that's, death lays right before you. And the only way that you'll ever be able to achieve the thing that you're wanting, is to desperately come. "I must have it, tonight. I get it now, or I'm finished. Tomorrow is too late. I must have it now!"

When you pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Token, don't say, "Well, now I'll go up and try. Lord, I, I'm a little tired." Oh, mercy, stay in your seat! Don't even--don't even make an attempt. If you come, say, "I'll pass through the prayer line; put the oil on my head, I'll see if it does me any good," might as well set where you're at. Until you get to that place, until the whole church gets to a place, that it's between death and life, you've got to have It now or perish, then God will move on the scene. It takes desperation to bring God on the scene.

*JACOB CRIED LIKE NEVER BEFORE... HE WRESTLED DESPERATELY UNTIL THE BLESSING COME.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

86      Jacob cried like never before. Desperately he called until he got a hold of God. And when he did, he wrestled; not for fifteen minutes. He wrestled to keep Him, in his soul, all night long; and still he knew he didn't have the blessing, and he was able to hold on until the blessing come. He wrestled desperately until the blessing come. Then, and when he seen... until God came on the scene. And then, in despair, "I'll not let You go," when he begin to feel the blessing coming down on him.

*... HEZEKIAH, HAD BEEN TOLD BY THE PROPHET, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, YOU'RE GOING TO DIE... AND, IN DESPERATION, HE CHANGED THE PROGRAM OF GOD.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

89      One time there was a man named Hezekiah, had been told by the prophet, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, you're going to die." Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and in desperation he wept out, "Lord, consider me. I've walked before You with a perfect heart, and I need fifteen more years," after God had told him that something was going to happen, he was going to die. And, in desperation, he changed the program of God. Desperation, though, he wept bitterly in desperation.

*OUR DEAR LORD JESUS, HIMSELF, IN THE WORLD'S GREATEST BATTLEGROUND, GETHSEMANE, HE CRIED OUT, IN DESPAIR.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E

126      Our dear Lord Jesus, Himself, in the world's greatest battleground, Gethsemane, He cried out, in despair. Should He take the sins of the world, or should He just remain on earth with His beloved disciples, what He wanted to do? But watch His humility as He humbled Himself, "Not My will but Thine be done," humbled Himself to the Word, the promised Word of the God of Heaven.

Notice, then, He went a little further. And if He went a little farther, how much more ought we to go a little farther. See? And notice, the Scripture says here, in Luke, that He prayed earnestly. Brother, sister, if Jesus had to pray earnestly, how much more have we got to pray earnestly. If Christ, the God of Heaven, made flesh, had to pray earnestly, then how much more are we, sinners saved by grace, pray earnestly! If--if the decision throwed the Son of God into despair, what will it do to you and I? Desperately we must cry.

26-0515A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-6 (GOD KEEP HIS WORD)

26-0515A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-6 (GOD KEEP HIS WORD)

Mat 4:23  And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Mat 4:24  And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Heb 10:16  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Heb 10:17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Mat 24:32  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

Mat 24:33  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Mat 24:34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Job 8:5  If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;

Job 8:6  If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

Job 8:7  Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Psa 7:10  My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

Psa 25:8  Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Psa 31:23  O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Psa 31:24  Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Pro 7:14  I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

Pro 7:15  Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

Isa 55:6  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isa 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isa 55:10  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isa 55:12  For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

*HE WANTS CHRISTIANS TO BE CHRISTIANS. MAKE YOUR CONFESSION AND STAND THERE.

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-29    Now, I believe that God is everywhere. And as I looked at the eagle, I thought, "Now, what would that old bird raise up there to stop me from shouting? And I happened to notice him, that one thing, he seemed like he wasn't afraid. That's one thing that's godly about him.

God don't want cowards. God wants men to be men, women to be women. He wants Christians to be Christians. Make your confession and stand there. That's the idea. Not scared to say this and scared to say that. Keep your convictions. Be what you are. That's what God wants you to do. Be what He wants you to be and don't be cowardly about it.

*WHAT OUGHT A MAN TO DO WITH THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST, WHEN HE FEELS THE SPIRIT OF GOD OPERATING RIGHT, BLESSING HIM...

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-31    Brother, if God give an eagle wings to take him from danger to safety, and as long as he could feel those wings operating right, what difference did it make what kind of a danger he was in? What ought a man to do with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, when he feels the Spirit of God operating right, blessing him, and giving him the deep things that he desires in the love that he desires of God; to fellowship, to walk with him. What can the devil put before you?

Paul said, "O death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory? But thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Even death and the grave could not, nothing like scare that old apostle. He knowed he had fellowship with Christ. Yeah, but, "Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

*AN INFIDEL NOT--SEVERAL YEARS, SIXTY, OR SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO PASSED THROUGH THE NATION, AND HE WAS MAKING CONVERTS TO INFIDELISM...

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-34    Just one more little thought on my mind comes this. An infidel not--several years, sixty, or seventy-five years ago passed through the nation, and he was making converts to infidelism. And he was so smart the preachers was afraid to attack him. But one day while he had been taking a Europe trip, he broke down and come back. He went up into the mountains to take a rest. And one day while walking out, he looked at the rocks. And he said, "Oh, rocks, are you there according to the book of science? Are you there according to the Word of God?" And he got so under conviction that he knelt down there in the path and gave his life to God.

The Bible said, "If they hold their peace, the rocks will immediately cry out." Something's going to teach people about God. I've watched birds, and animals, and can see God in His universe. We could hold that for two hours.

*...GOD IN HIS WORD. THE BIBLE SAID THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS LIKE A SEED THAT A MAN SOWED.

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-35    God in His Universe, now God in His Word. You believe God is in His Word? The Bible said that the Word of God is like a seed that a man sowed. Now, you people here in California raise a lot oranges, citrus fruit. Did you know that that little tree when you plant it just about that high, half inch high, that every bushel of--of peaches, apples, oranges, grapefruit, everything that that little tree will ever bear in all of its life on the earth, is in it when you set it out? That's right. Certainly it is; it's a seed, and the life is in the seed.

The only thing you'll have to do is to water the seed. Well, I... You put me on record tonight in these recorders. I have no apology for this remark that I'm fixing to make. I believe, and can prove, that the right mental attitude towards any Divine promise of God will bring it to pass. Yes, sir. The right mental attitude, but you've got to have the right attitude. The--the attitude is what brings the results. If you say, "Yes, yes, I believe it but I don't know now." That's not the right attitude. The right attitude is to receive it, and say it's "THUS SAITH THE LORD." Then it's right.

*...WHEN A CHRISTIAN ACCEPTS GOD'S WORD, AND THE WORD IS MADE MANIFEST TO HIM BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, EVERYTHING YOU HAVE NEED OF IN THIS WORLD, IS GIVEN TO YOU RIGHT THEN.

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-36    Now, I believe that everything that you have need of when you receive Christ... And Christ is the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us." God keeps His Word. Hope we get to it this week or next week one. God keeps His Word. He is duty bound to His Word. His Word can never fail. And I believe that when a Christian accepts God's Word, and the Word is made manifest to him by the Holy Spirit, everything you have need of in this world, is given to you right then.

*... WHEN A MAN GETS BORN AGAIN, GOD GIVES HIM A CHECKBOOK WITH JESUS' NAME SIGNED AT THE BOTTOM OF EVERY CHECK, AND THAT CHECK IS GOOD FOR EVERY REDEMPTIVE BLESSING THAT JESUS DIED FOR.

I believe that when a man gets born again, God gives him a checkbook with Jesus' Name signed at the bottom of every check, and that check is good for every redemptive blessing that Jesus died for. If you're not afraid to fill it out and turn it in. And I believe that we are planted in Christ, not stuck out, but we're planted in Christ, and I...

You take a little tree and plant it; there's only one thing you have to do to that tree; that's water it. And it has got to drink. It's got to drink more than its portion. It's got to drink till it swells out. It pushes out leaves, pushes out branches, pushes out oranges, pushes out oranges again. It's has just got to drink, drink, drink, drink, and push out.

*...THE CHRISTIAN'S GOT TO DO, IS JUST TO SET DOWN BY JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD.

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-37    And I believe that's what the Church, the Christian's got to do, is just to set down by Jesus Christ and His Word. And I believe that He is the inexhaustible Fountain of Life that man can be planted in Him, and drink, and push, and drink, and push, till every Divine promise in the Bible will be made manifest to him. Amen. Every promise in the Book, everything is God's.

*...THEN THE GREAT CHURCH OF GOD WOULD STAND TO ITS FEET.

As I said the other night, crossing this world, preaching, I've found two classes of people: one the fundamentalist and the other the Pentecostals. The fundamentalist positionally knows where they stand, but they've never received the Holy Ghost, so they haven't got any faith of what they know. That's right. And the Pentecostals has received the Holy Ghost, but don't positionally know who they are. That's right.

GOD.IN.HIS.WORD_  OAKLAND.CA  SATURDAY_  57-0323

E-38    It's just like a man that's got money in the bank and can't write a check. And the other one can write a check, but ain't got no money in the bank. If you could get them both together, you'd have it settled. Amen. If you could get Pentecostal faith in the fundamental church, or fundamental teaching in the Pentecostal church, you'd have it made. That's right. Then the great Church of God would stand to Its feet.

*THEN THOSE LITTLE GROUP OF DISCIPLES WENT UP THERE IN THE UPPER ROOM, AND GOD KEPT HIS WORD.

But you have the right, the God-given privilege to every Divine promise in the Book is yours. Yes, sir. I know that to be the truth by experience. God's in His Word. How we could say...

How Jesus said, "Tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until you're endued with power from on high. After this the Holy Ghost is come upon you, you'll be witness to Me in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, uttermost parts of the earth." Luke 24:49. Then those little group of disciples went up there in the upper room, and God kept His Word.

*CAN GOD KEEP HIS WORD? IF HE DOESN'T, HE'S NOT GOD. IF HE DOES, THEN IT'S WORTH EVERYTHING TO TURN LOOSE AND TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD.

JEHOVAH.JIREH_  OAKLAND.CA  TUESDAY_  57-0326

E-71    And we watch. He laid the wood on Isaac's back, perfect type of God in Christ, as Christ packed His own altar up the hill. Here goes little Isaac up, and he begins to get curious, and he said, "Papa?"

He said, "Yes, my son? Here I am."

He said, "We got the wood, and we got the fire, but where is the lamb that you're going to offer?"

Could you imagine that father with his only son as he walked up the hill with him, without a quiver in his voice he said, "My son, God will provide for Himself a lamb for the sacrifice."

There you are. See, he was still believing. He knowed Who God was, and He was able to keep His Word.

Do you believe that, tonight? Can God keep His Word? If He doesn't, He's not God. If He does, then it's worth everything to turn loose and take God at His Word.

26-0511P_HIS UNFAILING WORDS OF PROMISE PT-6

26-0511P_HIS UNFAILING WORDS OF PROMISE PT-6

Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mat 24:36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Ecc 3:13  And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
Ecc 3:14  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
Ecc 3:15  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Mal 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Psa 84:11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Psa 84:12  O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

E-34   ...And the Word of God will defeat Satan any place, any time, anywhere, and on any condition. That's right. That's what it is; it's God's Word. "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never fail." Believe It.

*GIFTS ARE ADDED TO STIMULATE FAITH. BUT FAITH COMETH BY HEARING, HEARING BY THE WORD.

EXPECTATIONS_  CLEVELAND.OH  THURSDAY_  50-0810

E-35    Gifts are added to stimulate faith. But faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word. That's where faith comes, by hearing the Word of salvation. It's just like this. Jesus... But God said, "Come unto Me, all--all the ends of the earth, and drink."

A little tree, when it's planted in the earth, a little apple tree about that big, it's stuck right out in the ground. Every apple that'll ever be on that tree, every blossom, every leaf, every limb that'll ever be on that tree is in it right then. If it isn't, where does it come from? Now, the tree is put in the ground, and the only thing the tree does, is drink. It just drinks and drinks until it swells out, and swells out, until it pushes out limbs, blossoms, apples.

And Christ is the inexhaustible Fountain of Life. We are planted in Him by the Holy Spirit, and then just drink from Him. Every person that's a Christian... The devil don't care how much you come to Christ, as long as you don't drink. You can stand at the table and your mouth watering and say, "Well, I'm here. I'm here." You're afraid to turn your faith loose. See?

AND IT WAS SETTLED AS SOON AS GOD SPOKE IT.

THE.UNCERTAIN.SOUND_  CHICAGO.IL  SATURDAY_  61-0429E

E-40    In Matthew the 24th chapter and the 35th verse Jesus said, "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never fail." Just as certain as God says anything, it's just that certain it's going to come to pass.

Before there was a world, before there was four thousand years, before Christ was ever born, the Bible said He was the Lamb of God, slain since the foundation of the world. For when God's program was drawed out, and He knowed what was going to happen, in His great mind He knew that He'd have to slay His own Son to save the world. And it was settled as soon as God spoke it. Amen.

When God says anything, it's just as eternal as He is. It cannot fail, God's Word. Jesus said, "Both heavens and earth will pass away but My Word shall never fail." Oh, certainly It is certain. There's no uncertainty about It.

THE.UNCERTAIN.SOUND_  CHICAGO.IL  SATURDAY_  61-0429E

E-41    It might make you act strange when you receive It; you might not act like you used to. And that's one thing is certain too. Paul said, "The life that I now live..." He must've lived a different kind of life once, and yet he was raised up religious. But he had a new kind of life. "Not me, but Christ liveth in me." See, he had passed from one life into another.

And just as certain as you receive the Word of God into your heart, then you'll have Eternal Life and you'll act strange, look strange, and be different than what you were.

*IT'S THIS SACRED TRUST THAT GOD HAS PUT TO HIS CHURCH. GOD GAVE HIS WORD TO HIS CHURCH.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

68    Now, we have a sacred trust. You know what a trust is. And we have a inheritance, a heritage that we inherit as believing children. It's a sacred trust. And that sacred trust and our sacred heritage is the Word of God that's been given to us, the full Word of God. The Word Itself is the Vitamin, the Word Itself, God's Word.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

70    I live by the Word. Jesus said, "It's written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'" And this is It. And That is given to us as a heritage. It's our inheritance, the Word. O God, let us think of It in the deepness of It.

It's--it's our privilege. It's this sacred trust that God has put to His Church. God gave His Word to His Church. And that sacred heritage is ours. It's a gift from God, not to just compromise on this, and cut this out, and throw this out, and add this in to suit our own taste; but to preach the full Word, the whole Gospel. We are duty bound as Christians to take It and believe It. When we know, "If our hearts condemn us not, then we know we have favor with God."

But when we know we're bypassing Something, that some great heritage that belongs to us, that we bypass It, because our church said they don't believe in this today; it isn't for us today. If we bypass That, then we spoil our inheritage.

*"HEAVENS AND EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY BUT MY WORD SHALL NEVER FAIL."

THE.WORKS.THAT.I.DO.BEAR.WITNESS.OF.ME_  PHOENIX.AZ  FRIDAY_  51-0413

E-11    ...Jesus being the Christ, the Son of God, is the truth. We believe it because the Bible says so. And we accept it by faith, Divine faith that's been placed in our heart by the Holy Spirit. We believe it with all of our heart. And we believe that He is the same Lord Jesus today that He was yesterday, and will be when we see Him coming. "This same Jesus that was taken up will show--so come in like manner as you see Him go into heaven." And we know that He promised to be with us in the form of the Holy Spirit plumb to the end of the world, the end of the age. He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe."

And tonight, we're thankful to be represented here, or gathered here, rather, in a group of people that represents this glorious Gospel of deliverance. After nineteen hundred years criticism, trying to destroy the Bible... Infidels has raised and fallen; many persecutions, more persecutions upon the Book than any other book in the world, but yet it's the greatest seller the world has. "Heavens and earth shall pass away but My Word shall never fail."

*IT'S GRACE THAT BRINGS YOU TO GOD; IT'S THE WORKS THAT--THAT YOU DO FOR GOD.

THE.INFALLIBILITY.OF.GOD'S.SPOKEN.WORD_  CHICAGO.IL  WEDNESDAY_  56-0404

E-22    "Those who He has called, He hath already justified: those who He had justified, He had already glorified." That's right. See? There's where we get grace and works mixed up. Here's the whole thing in the Arminian and Calvinistic belief. Grace is what God does for you; works is what you do for God. See? It's grace that brings you to God; it's the works that--that you do for God. See?

Now, as Abraham was justified by faith, because he believed in God. Paul justified him by faith; James turns over and justifies him by works. But Paul was speaking what God saw, and James was speaking what man saw. If you say you are a believer, and then act contrary to what you say, then you're not a believer. See? If you tell God, "Yes, I now solemnly believe." Brother, you can't do nothing but act the same way you believe. That's right. You say, "Lord, my hand's crippled, but something in my heart tells me that You're the Lord that's healed me. Oh, I believe it, God, with all my heart." You can't do nothing but watch that hand move a few inches every day. See, that's it. You can't do nothing else. See? And God's obligated to that Word to watch over It.

26-0525P_DESPERATIONS PT-3 (HE SATISFIETH THE LONGING SOUL)

26-0525P_DESPERATIONS PT-3  (HE SATISFIETH THE LONGING SOUL) Jer 29:10  For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished ...
