26-0727P_CONVINCED THEN CONCERNED PT-3

26-0727P_CONVINCED THEN CONCERNED PT-3

Psa 115:11  Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:12  The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
Psa 115:13  He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
Psa 115:14  The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
Psa 115:15  Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
Psa 115:16  The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
Psa 115:17  The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
Psa 115:18  But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.

1Ch 16:14  He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
1Ch 16:15  Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
1Ch 16:16  Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
1Ch 16:17  And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
1Ch 16:18  Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
1Ch 16:19  When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
1Ch 16:20  And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
1Ch 16:21  He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
1Ch 16:22  Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Heb 2:1  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Heb 2:2  For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
Heb 2:3  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Heb 2:4  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
Heb 2:5  For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
Heb 2:6  But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Heb 2:7  Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Heb 2:8  Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
Heb 2:9  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Heb 2:10  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Heb 2:11  For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Heb 2:12  Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
Heb 2:13  And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Heb 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

*YET WE PUT SO MUCH EMPHASIS AND SO MUCH CONCERN ABOUT THE NATURAL THINGS, AND SO LITTLE ABOUT THE SPIRITUAL THING.

LOOKING.AT.THE.UNSEEN_  LA.CA  FRIDAY_  59-0410

   E-17   .....Could you scientifically show me what love is? Go down to the drugstore and buy me a quarters worth of love; I need some more." See? You can't see it. It's the unseen. Show me what life is; I need just a little more life; could you go buy me a quarters worth? Show me what life is, what love is, what personality is, what the Holy Spirit is, what God is. It's the unseen things that's real, lasting. These things are temporal and perishable. Yet we put so much emphasis and so much concern about the natural things, and so little about the spiritual thing.

*GOD IN HEAVEN WHO KNOWS ALL THINGS, CAN SO PUT A GIFT IN HIS CHURCH THAT HE CAN MAGNIFY IT AND REFLECT HIMSELF THROUGH IT,...

LOOKING.AT.THE.UNSEEN_  LA.CA  FRIDAY_  59-0410

  E-18    .....For in glory we've got a risen Saviour Who sends it forth, and the Holy Ghost reveals it and makes it positive. Therefore we got a sending station and a receiving station." That's correct. God in heaven Who knows all things, can so put a gift in His church that He can magnify it and reflect Himself through it, and say things which is absolutely impossible to--by scientists to prove. See, we don't walk by things we do not--we do see; we walk by things we do not see.

*CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH AND HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR IT, AND WE'RE SUPPOSED TO DO THE SAME THING...

Now, and if you see that the church is wrong, you're--no matter... You love the church, and--and you're... Christ loved the church and He gave His life for it, and we're supposed to do the same thing: not only supposed to, but we will if we've got the love of Christ in us. It constrains us and behooves us to do so as Christians. Yes.

*BUT THERE'S SOMETHING OUGHT TO BECOME BEFORE THAT: IT'S GOD FIRST. THE GOING-ON OF THE CHURCH ...

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-61    He had his home paid for, just like we do today. That's the first thing we think about: pay for a home. That's good. You ought to. That's right. But there's something ought to become before that: it's God first. The going-on of the church, it's every man's duty in this church right here, to see that the thing goes on right. And you put your force to it to bring every man and woman, boy or girl that you can in the streets, and hedges, and byways to bring them into the church.

*GOD GET AHOLD OF YOU, AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE TO MAKE YOU FROM WHAT YOU--YOU--WHAT YOU'RE NOT, TO WHAT YOU OUGHT TO BE...

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-55     .....Now, when you see God get ahold of you, and change your life to make you from what you--you--what you're not, to what you ought to be, then you're ready to tell somebody else about it. You're convinced.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-56    But the trouble of it is, we walk up... We have a short, quick bypass. We just, "Oh, we can't stay there very long. No, don't talk ten days to us, or all night." No, we got to go up, and maybe we'll shake hands with the minister, or put our name on the book, or go through some little sensation. "We got it." Out right... One night in the barroom, the next night preaching the Gospel. See, see? Oh, my. That's what--where the trouble is. That's what we get so mixed up about (See?), on those things. Let a man prove hisself.

*IF WE STAY LONG ENOUGH WITH HIM, HE WILL MAKE YOU WALK DIFFERENT, TALK DIFFERENT, LIVE DIFFERENT, ACT DIFFERENT, SLEEP DIFFERENT, BE DIFFERENT.

CONVINCED.AND.THEN.CONCERNED_  CHICAGO.IL  MONDAY_  62-0521

  E-39    After Jacob had wrestled all night, instead of trying to war away that Man, Jacob held onto Him. Oh, I wish we had about a half hour on that, how that wrestling prince... He--he was able to hold on until he got what he was after. He held until... It took all night, but he stayed there. He wanted to be absolutely convinced. And when he stayed, until God changed his walking, he was convinced.

That's the trouble of it today. We don't stay long enough till we get our walking convinced. We don't walk like Christians. If we stay long enough with Him, He will make you walk different, talk different, live different, act different, sleep different, be different. And the reason is we don't stay long enough. We don't hold on. Jacob held on.

*YOU'VE GOT TO BE CONVINCED FIRST THAT IT IS GOD. THEN YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE STANDING.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  S.PINES.NC  V-3 N-3  SUNDAY_  62-0610E

  12-4    Why? You've got to be convinced first that it is God. Then you know where you're standing. True. Convinced first, then you get your concern. Although people claim God's with them, but they're... It's not all... Mother used to say, "Actions speaks louder than words." Certainly it does. You must act it, believe it, be convinced, and then you'll be concerned.

Jesus said, "If you love Me, feed My sheep." Now, that's where I think we've failed a lot, is feeding His sheep. "If you love Me, feed My sheep." Today it's almost, "shear my sheep." Get them into a place and take everything they've got, and make them pledge their home and all of their old age pensions and everything else. Talk about a shearing; Jesus never said that.

*AND SHEEP MUST HAVE SHEEP FOOD.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  S.PINES.NC  V-3 N-3  SUNDAY_  62-0610E

  13-1    Brother Parker said this morning, "God loves His people." He loves His sheep. He said, "Feed them." And sheep must have sheep food. And He never said, "Educate My sheep." He said, "Feed them," not educate them; feed them; give them sheep food.

What is sheep Food? The Bread of Life (Jesus is the Bread of Life), Gospel, Truth. Preach it without compromise. Then you know that when you have to answer at the day of the judgment for their souls, as a minister of the Gospel, you can stand and say, "That's what was wrote in the Word." Feed them the Truth. Feed My sheep.

*YOU KNOW GOD'S WORD'S WITH YOU AND IN YOU, YOU CAN BE CONVINCED.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  S.PINES.NC  V-3 N-3  SUNDAY_  62-0610E

  24-5    ...The runaway prophet Moses, when Moses got convinced that it was God in that bush... You know, Moses never had any experience with God. He had a lot of theology, but he'd run away. But when he was convinced that that was God in the bush, because the Voice spoke from the bush quoted Scripture to him, and he was convinced that that was God, and God said, "I'll be with you," you know, he'd lost all concern about the burdens in Egypt; He'd been out there forty years and them slave away, but when he was convinced that it was God's will to deliver them, he got concerned right the next day.

...Yes, it may make you act strange. It might've made him act strange, but he was convinced. Why? "I'm going with you, Moses. I'm going to take this stick that's in your hand, and I'm going to deliver My people."

Now, a little, old, crooked stick didn't look very much, but brother, he was convinced, because the Word of God was with it. You know God's Word's with you and in you, you can be convinced.

*WHEN YOU'RE CONVINCED THAT THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, GOD'S CONCERNED TO TAKE CARE OF YOU WITH IT.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  S.PINES.NC  V-3 N-3  SUNDAY_  62-0610E

  25-4    The Hebrew children: they were convinced that He was able to keep His Word. Yes. As long as they would stand on it... God told them not to bow to idols. That's just exactly what God meant. And they knew that if they did not bow down to that idol, that God was able to keep His Word. They were convinced that He was. And then when they were convinced about standing with His Word, God was concerned about standing with them.

When you're convinced that this is the Word of God, God's concerned to take care of you with It. Tried It through the foreign fields and everywhere. When you're convinced that It's right--but you've got to be convinced--then God will be concerned with you. But first, you must be convinced that It's Him, and He keeps His promise; then God's concerned.

Heb 11:24  By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

Heb 11:25  Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Heb 11:26  Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Heb 11:27  By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Heb 11:28  Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

2Pe 3:1  This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2Pe 3:2  That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

2Pe 3:3  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

2Pe 3:4  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

2Pe 3:5  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

2Pe 3:6  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

2Pe 3:7  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2Pe 3:8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2Pe 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2Pe 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

2Pe 3:17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

2Pe 3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

26-0724A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-13 (WHAT GOD HAS SAID & WHAT HE PROMISED, IT'S THE ULTIMATE)

26-0724A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-13 (WHAT GOD HAS SAID & WHAT HE PROMISED, IT'S THE ULTIMATE)

2Co 3:3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

2Co 3:4  And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

2Co 3:5  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

2Co 3:6  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Isa 40:3  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isa 40:4  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
Isa 40:5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Isa 40:6  The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
Isa 40:7  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
Isa 40:8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

*YOU MUST LOOK TO WHAT GOD HAS SAID AND WHAT HE PROMISED, AND SEE HIM TO DO IT, THEN THAT'S YOUR ULTIMATE RIGHT THERE.

And when you find God's Ultimate, His Word, a promise upon a certain thing, you must know first that it is God's Word, that the thing that you're seeing being done is God. There--there's no--there's no "maybe so, it could be, it looks like it might be." "It is God!" Then when you get to that spot, then that's the Pearl of great price, you must get away from anything that anybody else tells you contrary to It. You must not look to what man has achieved. You must look to what God has said and what He promised, and see Him to do it, then that's your Ultimate right there. And then everything that you are, everything that you was, everything that you hope to be, must be placed upon This just as though it was death and life to you at that moment.

*... THE HOLY SPIRIT HERE TAKING THE WORD OF GOD BY VISION, MOVING IT OUT INTO EVERY HEART LIKE THAT, AS THE WORD IS GOING FORTH AND EVERY BELIEVER RECEIVING IT.

FELLOWSHIP_  CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  55-0501A

   28     ...And when Christian believers can believe that present now, right now, setting together, seated here in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: in Christ Jesus, fellowshipping (Amen.) around the Word of God, the Holy Spirit here taking the Word of God by vision, moving It out into every heart like that, as the Word is going forth and every believer receiving It. Oh, if we would stand and claim our God given privileges. That's the time that God can ever take that wishbone out of a person's back and put a real old fashion Gospel backbone into him: somebody who'll stand for truth, no matter how dark it looks.

*...IT'S THE HOLY GHOST TAKING THE WORD OF GOD AND MAKING IT MANIFEST.

CONFIRMATION.OF.THE.COMMISSION_  TEMPE.AZ  MONDAY_  62-0122

  E-28    The Bible said the Gospel came to us not in word only, but through the power, manifestations of the Holy Ghost. In other words, it's the Holy Ghost taking the Word of God and making It manifest. See? And otherwise the only way that the signs of Mark 16 can follow the believer is that the Holy Spirit Himself takes the Word of God and demonstrates it to the people. That's it.

Now, faith makes that Word live. See, the Word is God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And then Jesus said, "If ye abide in Me and My Word in you, ask what you will and it'll be done for you." See? That's staying with Christ in the Word. Don't go right or left; stay right with it. See? And then it's actually not your word then; it's His Word, and His Word has the power and authority behind It.

*...IT'S BRINGING FORTH LIFE AGAIN THROUGH THE BIRTH, THROUGH THE WOMB OF HIS BRIDE.

THE.SPOKEN.WORD.IS.THE.ORIGINAL.SEED_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-1  SUNDAY_  62-0318

  24-3    The Holy Spirit that was in the garden of Eden was to water the Seed. Man wasn't made to die; he's made to live, but hybreeding brought life--of death there, rather. She hybrid. Now, you deny the serpent's seed. Then I'll ask you, "What's these funeral services about?" She's hybrid. Every one of us are hybrid from the original. That's the reason we're constantly dying. But (oh God.) there's a germ of Life come from the real Seed, that God's proved It was His Seed; He rose Him up again. See? That through that Life that's going over the original Seed like was given to Eve over His real church, it's bringing forth Life again through the birth, through the womb of His Bride. See?

Oh, it's rich and glorious. I give a little time to study so it'll sink in.

He is that Seed. He is that Seed that was produced by the Word of God. "Be it unto me according to Thy word." There's the Seed (See?), taking the Word. See?

*THAT'S THE REASON THAT GOD MANIFESTED HIMSELF SO PERFECTLY IN JESUS: BECAUSE HE WAS THE SEED WORD, THE GERM WORD ITSELF (THE GERM THAT'S INSIDE THE SEED, THAT'S THE LIFE IN THE SEED).

THE.SPOKEN.WORD.IS.THE.ORIGINAL.SEED_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-1  SUNDAY_  62-0318

  24-6    Now, Jesus is the Word made manifest. He and the Word is One and the same, and that's why it was so made manifest in Him so perfectly. That's the reason that God manifested Himself so perfectly in Jesus: because He was the Seed Word, the germ Word Itself (the germ that's inside the seed, that's the life in the seed). You get it? See, it was the... He was the germ Word of God. The germ is the Spirit; the germ is the Water. And Jesus had to be broken open there in order for that Seed to let forth It's Life to water other seed that was coming. Do you see? Even He said, "Other sheep I have that's not of even of this fold, I have. They're going to see that; they're going to get that Word and stay right with It. And I'm sending forth the Spirit to water it, and it'll produce just exactly."

It'll produce miracles; it will produce the power of God; it'll produce... And it will not deny anything, because it is a kindred seed with the Seed.

*UNLESS YOU ARE DEEPLY SINCERE! AND YOU CANNOT BE SINCERE UNTIL YOU'RE POSITIVE UNDERSTAND.

HE.CARES.DO.YOU.CARE_  JEFF.IN  V-12 N-4  SUNDAY_  63-0721

   62    Unless you are deeply sincere! And you cannot be sincere until you're positive understand. If you're presuming, or guessing, or hoping so, then there cannot be a depths of sincerity that God requires. It, faith, is not a "hope so" or "it could be right." It's got to be absolutely "Amen!" It's your ultimate. It--it--it's your--it's your absolute. It's the thing that you're tied to. See? You have come to your ultimate, that "It is the Truth and there's... It's nothing but the truth, and It must be thus!" And then when you realize that in your mind, then you've got to approach It with your whole life, soul, body, all that's in you, just completely sell out everything to it. As Jesus so graciously taught us in the man buying pearls, and he found the One of great price and he sold all his others to get to It. All the truths and everything that he had, thought they were good pearls, he--he... this One meant all to him.

*...IT'S GOD, HIMSELF. OH, MY, SPOKEN WORD. PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

  E-43    Just like the Word in the beginning was spoken to us in the garden of Eden, spoken Word. And the second time it was made flesh and dwelt among us. And the third time it become part of us when the Holy Ghost dwelling in us, God coming into the man. First spoke the Word; the enemy tore it down. Then the Word was made flesh; He was crucified. But now (Amen.), there's a difference in the Word. The Word is become the church, and the church is the Word. God... All that God was He poured into Christ. All Christ was poured into the church: the Holy Ghost. Now, the enemy's got something. See, then he isn't fighting something back here.

Many people just taken the letter. "The letter killeth. The Spirit giveth life," See, see? And they take these creeds and so forth, still killeth. But when you are taking the Spirit, that's God, Himself. How do you know it's God? Because He's taking the Word and manifesting It. See? Then it's God, Himself. Oh, my, spoken Word. See? Yes, sir. Oh, my.

*
IF A MAN EVER IS PLANTED IN CHRIST, AND...?... THE LIFE OF THE GRAPEVINE IS COMING THROUGH HIM ...

PALMERWORM.LOCUST.CANKERWORM.CATERPILLAR_  JEFF.IN  V-14 N-1  SUNDAY_  59-0823

   107    ...You're ever borned again, your whole nature's fixed different. If a man ever is planted in Christ, and...?... the Life of the grapevine is coming through him, he'll never bear pumpkins no more. You might tie one on him, but he knows something's wrong, he'll lay there and groan till it's taken off of him; it's too much weight for him, bows him down too close to the ground. He likes to grow up. Can't hang a pumpkin on a grapevine.

Notice. Oh, contending for the faith... That was "earnestly" contending; not just contending, but earnestly contending; between Life and death...

*
IT'S THOSE GREAT CRUCIAL MOMENTS THAT THE--THE STRAIN IS PUT UPON US THAT GOD MOVES IN, WHEN WE MAKE THE DECISION FOR HIM

BLIND.BARTIMAEUS_  BEAUMONT.TX  TUESDAY_  61-0124

   E-15    It's those great crucial moments that the--the strain is put upon us that God moves in, when we make the decision for Him. That's between Life and death, that little sharp edge. Sometime at the last moment when you think you're not going to be well, and somebody's making fun of you, still hold your testimony. It's that time that God moves in.

26-0720P_CONVINCED THEN CONCERNED PT-2 (HE WILL EVER BE MINDFUL OF US)

26-0720P_CONVINCED THEN CONCERNED PT-2 (HE WILL EVER BE MINDFUL OF US)

Joh 1:15  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Joh 1:16  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Joh 1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Joh 1:18  No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Joh 1:19  And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

Psa 8:4  What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Psa 8:5  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Psa 8:6  Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

Psa 8:7  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

Psa 8:8  The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

Psa 8:9  O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Heb 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Heb 2:15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Heb 2:16  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Heb 2:17  Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Heb 2:18  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Heb 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Heb 11:17  By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

*IT PAYS THE CHRISTIAN NOT TO JUST JOIN THE CHURCH, OR TO DEPEND UPON SOME MANEUVER, SOME SENSATION, OR SOMETHING ON THAT WAY, BUT TO BE SURE THAT YOU'RE RIGHT.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-35    Brethren, the time is at hand. It pays the Christian not to just join the church, or to depend upon some maneuver, some sensation, or something on that way, but to be sure that you're right. Now, there's so much today that we have. Some allows it to schooling, some allows it to learning creeds, some allows it to little funny feelings, some allows it to different things, which, I don't have nothing against that. That's all right. But that's not what I'm talking about. You can have that without having the real thing. See? And that's what we're trying to say. We must be sure, because the time is at hand for the--the real pouring out of the Holy Spirit. He promised He would pour it out in the last days.

* YOU--YOU MUST BE SURE. YOU--YOU MUST BE SURE. THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL BRING FORTH A HOLY LIFE.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-36    Now, there's so many people say if you quiver, hold your eyes shut, and do all kinds of things and get sensations. You get spirits, friends, but if your life don't tally up to what you're professing, then there's something wrong with the spirit you got. See? It's--it's true. See? You--you must be sure. The Holy Spirit will bring forth a holy life. That is right. And if the desire's in your heart... If you have to force yourself constantly to try to press, and do what's right, and the world's still hungering in you, then there's something wrong. See, the Holy Spirit in you will not hunger for the world; It'll hunger for God. If it's hard for you to go to church, and press yourself to come when the church is open, there's something wrong with that spirit. It's trying to keep you away from God. The Spirit of God will run you right straight to the church every time the door opens for fellowship. Yes, sir. See? So you've got to be sure of this now. The time is at hand.

*BUT "HE THAT BELIEVETH..." IT'S FOR BELIEVERS. THE ONE THAT HAS A HUNGER IN THEIR HEART TO SEE GOD, SEES IT.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-39    Now, if there's an unbeliever here that doesn't believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you say, "I just don't believe it," you'll never know anything about it. You say, "I don't believe in Divine healing. I can't see it's right." Certainly you can't. No, sir. But "he that believeth..." It's for believers. The one that has a hunger in their heart to see God, sees it. Nobody...

Them men was with Paul didn't see that Light hanging there over Paul. They didn't see the light, but it was so--so real to Paul till it put his eyes out--so bright that it put one man's eyes out standing looking at it, and the others standing around couldn't even see it. So you see, it's sent to those who believe and are ready to receive it.

*... THE HOLY SPIRIT IS HERE. IT'S HERE FOR THOSE WHO ARE DESTINED TO RECEIVE IT, WHO THAT BELIEVES IT, WHO'S A-WAITING ON IT.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-40    So I believe tonight that the Holy Spirit is here. It's here for those who are destined to receive It, who that believes it, who's a-waiting on it. It's here to straighten out every one of them spiritual problems. It's here to heal every sick person that's present. It's here. But you've got to come and get in the atmosphere of it, and the attitude to receive it. You've got to come not in emotional workup; you've got to come upon the basis of believing a promise that God made. That does it. That's what does it.

*GOD WOULD HUMILIATE HIMSELF, AND COME DOWN INTO A FORM OF SINFUL FLESH, AND BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE POOR MAN THAT CAN LIVE IN THE COUNTRY

CONTEND.FOR.THE.FAITH_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  55-0220E

  E-42    Old blind Bartimaeus said, "Who--who passes?" And he started crying, "Thou Son of David, have mercy."

You think Jesus probably way out on the road there could've ever heard that man's cry? Not through all that howling mob. But what did it? His faith stopped Jesus dead still in His tracks. Jesus stopped with the same thing, to my opinion, that the woman did, and turned around, said, "Thy faith has saved thee."

With all that burden and concern, and the destination of every soul that ever lived hung on His shoulders, and He knew it, and He was going to pay the supreme sacrifice; and yet with all that pressure upon Him, the faith of a poor, illiterate, blind, ragged beggar stopped Him dead still in His tracks and received what He asked for. Not a priest, they didn't believe it. But an illiterate, blind, ragged beggar, that's what did it. Oh, praise God in the highest for such a Saviour!

God would humiliate Himself, and come down into a form of sinful flesh, and be concerned about the poor man that can live in the country. He was made poor, that through His poverty we may be rich. Oh, man and woman tonight, believe Him. Do you accept Him?

ANDREW WAS CONCERNED ABOUT HIS BROTHER AS SOON AS HE WAS ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED THAT THAT WAS THE MESSIAH...HE STAYED WITH HIM ALL NIGHT.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-48    Convinced and then concerned. Now, Andrew was concerned about his brother as soon as he was absolutely convinced that that was the Messiah. How did he do it? He stayed with Him all night. The trouble of it is, we can't stay with Him five minutes. "Oh, we got to get home. Some television program's on. We've got to see that play. I just can't stay no longer; that's all. I haven't missed that in a long time. It's a serial they're running, you know, and so I can't...?..." That's it. Uh-huh. "I tell you. I just got to do this, or that. I can't do this and do that": no time.

Oh, brother, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness." See? But the thing... Then that loses concern, and after while you've lost the whole--you--you've lost everything. You're not concerned about anything then, but just your own self. That's right.

*YOU OUGHT TO LIFT HIM UP... LIVING AS CHRISTIANS OUGHT TO DO.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-51    .....You know, we're always trying to cope with the world. We're trying to outshine them. As I said the other night, you're--you're--you're trying to meet them on their grounds. Let them come over on our grounds. See? We don't want to try to get what they got. We got something that they can't have unless they become one of us. That's right. Be a vessel of the Lord. Have Christ.

Christ said, "If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men to Me." But see, when the church don't do that... They lifted up... You ought to lift Him up, as the song said, by living as Christians ought to do. See? But instead of that, we start right off... The very things we do and things, proves that we haven't got it. See? So you're--you're just presuming that, as I said the other night. Don't you do that. Come back. Don't take a substitute, 'cause you're going to die.

*THEN WHEN GOD IS IN YOU, THEN HE LIVES HIS OWN LIFE THROUGH YOU...AND THAT'S HOW WE--WE KNOW THAT WE'RE CHRISTIANS. THEN YOU'RE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR BROTHER.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-52    And remember, when you die and that soul leaves you, it never changes. No, sir. Death doesn't change the soul. It changes its dwelling place, but it's still the same soul. So if it isn't borned again, and a part of the eternal Spirit of God, it had a beginning. Anything with a beginning has an end. That's the reason God's the only thing's eternal.

Unless you're born again and have eternal life (the Greek word "Zoe" there means "God's own life" in you) you'll perish. But where God's life is in you, you can no more perish than God can perish (That's right.) because you are a son, an offspring of God, and have Eternal Life. Oh, that's the thing the church needs. Then when God is in you, then He lives His own Life through you. See? And that's how we--we know that we're Christians. Then you're concerned about your brother.

*HE WAS CONCERNED ENOUGH, AND GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD TO GIVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, AND ALL THOSE THINGS THERE, THAT THAT SPIRIT THAT WAS IN HIM IN YOU,...

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-53    If the Spirit that was in Christ that... He was so concerned that He came from heaven, give up heaven, came down here on earth, and become borned in a manured stable with a bunch of bleating cattle, with not even clothes to put on Him. He--He associated... Not a place to lay His head, not a tomb to be buried in, smitten and stricken the way He was... He was concerned enough, and God so loved the world to give His only begotten Son, and all those things there, that that Spirit that was in Him in you, and then we're not concerned about one another and about the church?

*BEFORE YOU CAN GET CONCERNED YOU HAVE TO BE CONVINCED YOU'RE RIGHT. THEN WHEN YOU'RE CONVINCED THAT GOD IS RIGHT, AND GOD IS IN YOU, AND GOD'S DID SUCH GREAT THINGS FOR YOU, THEN YOU'RE SURE.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

  E-54    People's telling me all the time... A man said not long ago, said, "Brother Branham, quit picking on the church. Quit saying these things. That ain't for you to say."

I said, "Then who's going to say it then?" That's right. That's... Sure, it's--it's our duty. It's our duty to the people to really tell the truth, 'cause you're going to meet it again. This is just a little stay; that's eternal there. Let's stay with it, tell the truth and be truthful about it. Yes, concerned first. Before you can get concerned you have to be convinced you're right. Then when you're convinced that God is right, and God is in you, and God's did such great things for you, then you're sure. You see your brother in error, you're going tell him about it. If there isn't, there's something wrong. That's the--the truth.

Yes.

26-0717A_GIVING YOUR ALL OR NOTHING

2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

PROOF.OF.HIS.RESURRECTION_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-16  SUNDAY_  55-0410M

Paul said, "I never come to you preaching with enticing words and wisdom of men; for if I did, then your faith would be built upon wisdom of men. But I come to you, preaching the Gospel of the power of God, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: that your faith would be steadfast." Paul never come with some seminary experience to polish around, and take out, and add to. He said, "I come knowing only one thing: Christ crucified. I only come knowing one thing, preaching to you the power of the resurrection, that Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." And in Galatians 1:8, he said, "If an angel preached anything else, let him be accursed unto you." That's right.

PROOF.OF.HIS.RESURRECTION_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-16  SUNDAY_  55-0410M

  88    Now, did He raise? We're here this morning to ask the question. Did He raise?

Now, today, ceremonies is said, all over the world. And they go around with great--some of them with prayer beads, a saying them. That's up to them. Others go around bragging on the great denomination they belong to. That's up to them. Others put great crosses up, and pianos and organs, and fine church buildings, and say, "Look what we've got. The best of the city comes to our church." That's all right. That's up to them.

But I know nothing but the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, whether it's in a barn, or it's in the stable, wherever it may be. Nothing do I want to know among you but the resurrection. I don't want to hear how good you are, 'cause you're not good to begin with. We're not good to begin with. Only one thing I want to know, is the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, that's been in the human heart. Then if Christ be dead, yea, not dead but risen again, then He's with us. Then the same things that He done when He was here on earth, He's obligated to produce them again, according to His Word. He is. And when that thing is produced again upon the earth, the same thing...

THE.TRIAL_  TOPEKA.KS  V-20 N-6  SUNDAY_  64-0621

81    The first, He calls the attention to this court, that the interpreter of God's Word, to the people, the prosecutor, is the same interpreter that interpreted God's Word to Eve. He wants the court to understand that, that the interpreter is Eve's interpreter, which says every bit of It was all right but just one Word. And He wants you to know also... He was the One, remember, Who wrote the Bible. He also wants you to know, that, in the beginning, that one word away from God's Word, caused all death and sorrow and sickness. And He wants you to know that God also said, in His Word, at the last chapter, the same as the first, that, "Anybody that'll take anything out of Here, or put anything else to It, his part will be taken from the Book of Life." It must be the Word, and That alone. He wants the court to know who done all this hard nailing down now, it's Eve's interpreter.

Rev 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Rev 22:18  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Rev 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Rev 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Mat 4:3  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

Mat 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
