26-0612A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-9 (TRUSTING & EXPECTING FROM THE WORD OF GOD)
Mat 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Mat 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Mat 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
Mat 4:25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
Psa 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Psa 18:31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
Psa 18:32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Psa 20:8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
Psa 20:9 Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
*YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH
BEFORE YOU CAN EXPECT ANYTHING.
EXPECTATION_TUCSON.AZSUNDAY_61-0205M
E-3.....Expectations usually is based upon a faith. You have to have faith before you can expect anything.
And now, like many of the servants of God in the Old Testament... Faith cometh by hearing, hearing of the Word.
EXPECTATION_TUCSON.AZSUNDAY_61-0205M
E-4.....And He remains God, and His heart is
just as anxious to give us what we ask for as we are to ask, and more so: because He "so loved the
world, that He gave his only begotten Son, whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have eternal life." And if He
loved us while we were sinners, alienated from Him, the commonwealth of God,
how much more is He willing this morning to give us exceedingly abundantly
above all that we could do or think.
*GOD BEING INFINITE, AND
CANNOT MAKE A MISTAKE, AND HE'S PERFECT, THEREFORE, ALL OF HIS... ALL OF HIS
PROMISES MUST BE PERFECT AS HE IS PERFECT.
EXPECTATION_TUCSON.AZSUNDAY_61-0205M
E-15And I've often quoted this, that God
is obligated to His Word. I like to read just a word or two of It,
because what I say will fail, because I'm man, but His Word cannot fail because
it's God. What... God is ever called on the scene at any time to make a
decision... And the first decision God makes has to be the same decision every
time.
Now, there's where you
must solemnly base your faith, on THUS SAITH THE LORD. You must believe it,
that it's God's Word. And that's the only hope that
we have, the only substantial hope that we have, is on the Word of God. And
now, God being infinite, and cannot make a mistake, and He's perfect,
therefore, all of His... all of His promises must be perfect as He is perfect. "In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...
And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us." the Word itself. So
therefore, the Bible is the Word of God. It is God Himself placed upon paper.
*WHEN WE TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD, WE HAVE TO
SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM ALL THINGS AROUND THAT'S CONTRARY TO THAT WORD.
EXPECTATION_TUCSON.AZSUNDAY_61-0205M
E-17Now, we find out that Abraham of old, when he was
seventy-five years old and his wife sixty-five (Sarah), how that God spoke to
him and revealed to him that he was going to have a baby by Sarah, his wife. He
was sterile and she was barren. And they'd been this way all their lives, but
yet God told him that he was going to have a child by Sarah.
And
He asked him to separate himself because of this promise. And that's the way we
have to do. When we take God at His Word, we have
to separate ourselves from all things around that's contrary to that Word. You
can't go to people and say, "Now, do you think I got my healing? You
think...?" Nothing what they think--that has
nothing to do into it. It's what you think. It's up to you. So he was asked to separate himself, and he did so with
great expectations of receiving the child.
*BUT INSTEAD OF GROWING WEAK
BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED THE FIRST MONTH, HE GREW STRONGER ALL THE TIME,
BECAUSE HIS EXPECTATIONS WAS GREATER.
EXPECTATION_TUCSON.AZSUNDAY_61-0205M
E-18Now, we find out that that
child never arrived until twenty-five years later. But instead of growing weak
because it never happened the first month, he grew stronger all the time,
because his expectations was greater. If Sarah was one month older, it'd
be one month greater in the expectations, because God kept His Word. It would be a lot better for her to have the child at a
hundred years old than it was at sixty years old. See what I mean? It was a greater miracle all the time. And he
never grew weak, but grew stronger all the time.
Now, we are the
children of Abraham. The Bible said so. We, being dead in Christ, take on
Abraham's seed, and are heirs according to the promise. We are heirs of the promise with Abraham, because Abraham was given
the promise. Now, if we are his heirs with Abraham, then we are
Abraham's children. And the same faith that Abraham
had we have ourselves, that when God makes a promise, just know it's going to
happen. It can't do anything else.
Jer 29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jer 29:14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
Jer 29:15 Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;
Jer 29:16 Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;
Jer 29:17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
Jer 29:18 And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:
Psa 107:7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
Psa 107:8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psa 107:9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
Ecc 7:1 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth. Ecc 7:2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Ecc 7:3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. Ecc 7:4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. Ecc 7:5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. Ecc 7:6 For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity. Ecc 7:7 Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart. Ecc 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Ecc 7:9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. Ecc 7:10 Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this. Ecc 7:11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. Ecc 7:12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. Ecc 7:13 Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked? Ecc 7:14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
Pro 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Pro 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
Pro 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
Pro 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Pro 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Pro 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
Pro 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
Pro 1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Pro 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
Pro 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
Pro 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
*GOD, IN THESE LAST DAYS, HAS
MANIFESTED HIMSELF SO TO US, BY HIS GREAT SIGNS AND POWER, SHOULD MAKE US
DESPERATE.
DESPERATIONS_JEFF.INV-4 N-1SUNDAY_63-0901E
127God, in
these last days, has manifested Himself so to us, by His great signs and power,
should make us desperate. That's right. And His willing to
heal us and save us, ought to throw us all into desperation to get to that
healing Stone. That's
right.
*WHEN MEN AND WOMEN GET TO A
PLACE THAT THEY'VE GOT TO HAVE GOD OR DIE, YOU'LL GET TO THE WATERBROOK.
THIRSTING.FOR.LIFE_ CHICAGO.IL
SATURDAY_ 59-0613
E-43David said, "As a hart thirsts for the waterbrook, my soul
thirsts after thee, O God."
Could you imagine the little deer with the blood streaming out of it,
and it's running, and the hounds is right behind it. And it's got its little
nose up [Brother Branham imitates panting--Ed.] sniffing everywhere. "If I
could just smell water. I've got to get to water, or I'll die." Once to
water it's safe. It's got to find water or die. David said, "As the hart panteth for the waterbrook, my soul
thirsts after thee, O God."
When men
and women get to a place that they've got to have God or die, you'll get to the
waterbrook. That's
right. If you're sick and you need healing, if you're in a desperate condition,
I can say there is fountain filled with Blood drawn from Immanuel's veins,
Where sinners plunge beneath the flood, Lose all their guilty stain. It's Life
Everlasting to know Him, not to know His Book, not to know His church, not to
know His creed, but to know Him, know Him your personal Saviour Lord, fills you
with the Holy Spirit. It puts Life in you
to walk forward. That's
the Life that David was talking about.
My lips shall praise Thee, because Thy lovingkindness is better to me
than Life. My lips shall praise Thee.
*YOU GET--WHEN YOU GET
DESPERATE FOR IT, REALLY GOT TO HAVE IT OR DIE (SEE?), THEN IS WHEN YOU'RE
GOING TO GET IT.
483-65That Holy Ghost
ought to be more important to you than everything else there is in the world:
your prestige, your life, your job, your anything that there is. You should not cease until you have It. You must receive
It. It must be the
most... And you say, "Well, I'm afraid they at--they my work. I'm afraid
that my husband, my..." Don't be afraid; let That be first place. Let
everything else go. Let That be first. "Well, I expect to get It one of
these days, Brother Branham." Not one of these days: now. This is the time. "Let It be first before I--before
I do anything else. Let me have It now." Desperate. That would help answer our question. You get--when you get desperate for It, really got to
have It or die (See?), then is when you're going to get It.
*YOU'VE GOT TO COME,
DESPERATE, DYING, THEN YOU GET IT. THAT'S RIGHT. HE PROMISED IT.
320Now it's up to
you. Now, if you'll believe with all your heart, it'll be settled from right
now. This will be a memorial night. They probably won't close these doors
tonight. You'll stay all night in here. But if you do like this, say,
"Lord, I'm standing on my feet. Until You fill me according to Your
promise, I'll never move from where I'm standing." You mean business with God, He'll get to business with
you.
321But until you do, you're hammering, "Lord, will You
give me the Holy Ghost tonight? I don't feel nothing. Well, maybe I'll try
tomorrow night." You're not going to get anything from God, like that.
322You've
got to come, desperate, dying, then you get It. That's right. He promised It. If it isn't, what are you using your
time for, if them promises are not true?
*OUR DEAR LORD JESUS,
HIMSELF, IN THE WORLD'S GREATEST BATTLEGROUND, GETHSEMANE, HE CRIED OUT, IN
DESPAIR.
DESPERATIONS_JEFF.INV-4 N-1SUNDAY_63-0901E
126Our dear Lord Jesus, Himself, in the world's
greatest battleground, Gethsemane, He cried out, in despair. Should He take the sins of the
world, or should He just remain on earth with His beloved disciples, what He
wanted to do? But watch His humility as He humbled
Himself, "Not My will but Thine be done," humbled Himself to
the Word, the promised Word of the God of Heaven.
Notice, then, He went
a little further. And if He went a little farther, how much more ought we to go
a little farther. See? And notice, the Scripture says here, in Luke, that He
prayed earnestly. Brother, sister, if Jesus had to pray earnestly, how much
more have we got to pray earnestly. If Christ, the God of Heaven, made flesh,
had to pray earnestly, then how much more are we, sinners saved by grace, pray
earnestly! If--if the decision throwed the Son of God into despair, what
will it do to you and I? Desperately we must cry.
* THAT'S WHEN YOU'LL HAVE TO
CRY OUT LIKE ISAIAH DID...AND WHEN YOU GET DESPERATE ABOUT THIS THING,
SOMETHING WILL TAKE PLACE.
HEAR.HIS.VOICE_ JEFF.IN
SUNDAY_ 58-1005M
E-56You'll be kicked
out some of these days from these interdenominationals like this. It'll come a
time when you'll have to belong to an organization or you can't worship. As you
know, the Scripture says it will be. They just make fun of you now. But
there'll be a time where there'll be a boycott. For the mark of the beast must come.
You'll either belong to the confederation of the churches, the beast like it is
in Rome, or you won't worship at all. That's what the Scripture says.
That's when you'll have to cry out like Isaiah did. And he got down in
the temple, and he realized that; he raised his hands, and he said, "Oh,
Lord, I am a man of unclean lips." You think you're good, but wait till
that time comes. "I dwell among peoples of unclean lips." What did
he? Got desperate. And when you get
desperate about this thing, something will take place. You're not desperate
enough.
HEAR.HIS.VOICE_ JEFF.IN
SUNDAY_ 58-1005M
E-57"Oh, well,
I join church that settles it." But you have to be desperate about it. You have to really
need God. Jesus
said, "Blessed are they
that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled."But
as long as you're satisfied with the things of the world, how can God ever
speak to you? You say, "God never spoke to me." Why? He wants to. But
you're too filled up with the things of the world. That's what's the matter
with us today. We put all of our time on things of the world and the pleasures
of the world, and give no time to God. It's true.
*THEN IN HIS LATE YEARS, HE
WROTE A COMPLETE BIBLE. HE STARTED AT GENESIS AND ENDED UP IN REVELATION. WHY?
BECAUSE HE GOT DESPERATE IN A TIME WHERE HE SEEN IT NEEDED MOST.*
HEAR.HIS.VOICE_ JEFF.IN
SUNDAY_ 58-1005M
E-59So will it be
with every individual God calls. You've
got to be borned again, changed and made new, not imagination but from your
heart, something that really takes place.
And one of the Angels... If you ask you shall receive. One of the
Angels went over to the brazen altar, and took the tongs, and reached over, and
got a coal of living fire, and ran over to Isaiah, and placed it in his mouth,
said, "Now, you're clean, go speak the Word."
Isaiah was changed after he heard that voice. Then in his late years, he wrote a complete Bible. He
started at Genesis and ended up in Revelation. There's sixty-six Books of the
Bible. There's sixty-six chapters of Isaiah. Why? Because he got desperate in a time where he seen it
needed most.
Psa 66:16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Psa 66:17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Psa 66:19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Psa 66:20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
26-0605A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-8 (TRUSTING & TAKING SIDES WITH THE WORD OF GOD)
Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Isa 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Joh 9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
Joh 9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
Joh 9:28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.
Joh 9:29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
Joh 9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
Joh 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Joh 9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
Joh 9:33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
Joh 9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
Joh 9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
Joh 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
Joh 9:37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
*IT'S GOD'S GOOD PLEASURE TO
DO THAT, THAT'S THE WAY HE LIKES TO DO IT.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
770-123...Now, do you know when those early men went out, sometimes
there were only about six or eight of them together, and they shook the
country. Well, you know when Aquila and Priscilla, that great revival that
Apollos was having over there, there was only about six or eight men and women
in that bunch. That whole church meant six or eight. You got five or six, seven
times as many here tonight as they had then.
You know, Jesus only
had twelve apostles. We always thinking for
something big, but God don't deal in them big numbers. It's in these little
groups is where He gets it. You see? Look
all down through the age, at any time He ever met with men, it was in small
groups (See?) and spoke with them and ordained them. It's God's good
pleasure to do that, that's the way He likes to do it. And now, we just
want to keep God in our midst and go do these things.
*LEADERS OF HIS DAY ALWAYS
TRIED TO BELITTLE HIM BEFORE THE PEOPLE..
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
771-128...The Pharisees and leaders of His day always tried to
belittle Him before the people. That was just a way that the devil had of
working. All the Pharisees and the teachers of His
day constantly tried to belittle Jesus. They... All the throw-off that they
could give to Him, they done it... They were trying to cast a
shadow upon Him to get the people to disbelieve Him. That's the work of the
devil, and that old scheme has never ceased.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
772-130There's many times that a minister will make a mistake.
And if he comes into a neighborhood, a precious brother who's trying to do
what's right and to lead the people right, everything that the devil can point
to the unbeliever or the so-called Christian in that neighborhood to throw off
on that man, he'll do it. You know, the real
Christian way is to hide everything you can from a brother.Don't tell his bad things; just tell his good things. Just
tell what you know about him that's good. If anything's bad, let it
alone. The poor fellow's got enough against him anyhow. Don't try to take a
pole and shove a man further into the ditch. The
Christian attitude is to pick him up and take him out of the ditch. See?
Don't never try to shove him down; he's down already. Try to help him up...
*BUT IN ALL OF THAT, THE ONES
THAT BELIEVED HIM, AND LOVED HIM, AND HAD SEEN HIS SCRIPTURAL MIRACLE SIGNS
WOULD NOT BE HINDERED BY THEM.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
773-134But Jesus, they--they just tried to find every little shadow
that they could find to try to belittle Him in the sight of the people. And
that's what the devil wants. They want to--they want to hurt your influence
before the people. That's the way you want to watch careful what you do. Walk like real men of God; talk like men of God. See?
Act like men of God; live like men of God; because
the devil, your adversary, is going about like a roaring lion trying to devour
what he can...
See, they were trying
to belittle Him. But in all of that, the ones that
believed Him, and loved Him, and had seen His Scriptural miracle signs would
not be hindered by them. No, sir. Them who believed Him believed Him. Those who loved Him stood by Him.They would not see what others pointed out to them.
*... BUT THEM TRUE BELIEVERS,
THAT WAS PREDESTINATED TO HEAR THAT MESSAGE, HEARD IT AND SEEN NO FAULT IN IT
AT ALL.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
774-142So, the people tried, them Pharisees, and Sadducees, and
hypocrites, and Herodians, and all tried to cast a shadow on Jesus; but them true believers, that was predestinated to hear
that Message, heard It and seen no fault in It at all.
Same
now, those who believe Him love Him, those who believe Him see no fault in Him.
They don't see any heresy; they don't see anything wrong;
they don't see anything wrong with His Word; they don't see anything wrong with
His people; they just see Jesus and that's all. They're--they're--they're
predestinated to Eternal Life, so they just take sides with Jesus and stay
there.
*HE WOULD BE REJECTED,
THERE'D BE NO BEAUTY OF HIM WE SHOULD DESIRE HIM.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
775-148And so, they
tried. They was not willing to admit that He was doing the work of God, so they were trying to sow discord and get the people not
to believe, but them people who believed Him stayed right with Him; they took
sides.
You know, I thought
here, a couple of people I got wrote down here. The blind man would not be
changed by them, that man He'd just give his sight; we know the story. And He
gave them a very stinging question besides.
Now, they come up
there, and Jesus walked by, and He was a man that was despised and hated. The Bible said He would be rejected, there'd be no beauty
of Him we should desire Him. And all we like sheep have gone astray. He was a man of sorrow, acquainted with grief. And how
all the Bible said what He would be. He'd be despised and rejected. And
we see that man.
*GOD RESPECTS ANYBODY WHO'S
SINCERE.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
757-66God respects anybody who's sincere. Peter said that: he perceived
that God was no respect of persons. All nations calling when--on--at the house
of Cornelius when they received the Holy Ghost like they did at the beginning.
See? God is no respect of persons. We see a person
deeply in sincerity be sincerely wrong, but if he is sincerely, God will lead
him to the Light somewhere. He'll come to It, 'cause God's obligated to do
that.
*GOD LETS THINGS HAPPEN JUST
TO, FOR THE WORKS OF GOD TO BE MADE MANIFEST.
TAKING.SIDES.WITH.JESUS_JEFF.INCODFRIDAY_62-0601
775-150Now, those who believed the
Word, they knowed that the very things that Jesus was doing and the things was
of His life, they knew Who He was.So they
couldn't put nothing blight on Him, because they couldn't see it. And you know,
love is blind anyhow to them things; love covers up a multitude of sin, you
know. Perfect love casts out fear, and sin, all discord; love does.
Now, this blind man
was setting there, and Jesus and His disciples come by, and I think Jesus gave
them a little lesson here. When they seen this poor, blind man, they thought,
"Well, now surely, there's a sin behind that somewhere." When we see
something happen to a man, we always say, "Well, he sinned; he got out of
the will of the Lord somewhere." When Brother Crase hit the post, he got
out of the will of the Lord somewhere in somebody's idea. When the gun blowed
up on me, "Well, he was out of the will of the Lord." Brother Neville
hit the car, "He was out of the will of the Lord." That's not exactly
right. No, sir, it isn't. God permits those things.
776-152Jesus turned around and taught them a lesson. They said,
"His father must've sinned, or--or did his mother sin, or did he
sin?"
Jesus said, "Neither of them sinned, but that the works of God might be
made manifest." Amen. See? God lets
things happen just to, for the works of God to be made manifest.
*BUT GOD HAS TO KEEP HIS
PROMISE, IN ORDER TO BE GOD... NOW, THE MAIN THING IS, IS TO FIND OUT WHETHER
IT'S THE WILL OF GOD.
FOR.HIM.WILL.I.ACCEPT_HAMMOND.INFRIDAY_52-0718
E-26.....But God has to keep His promise, in
order to be God. If He doesn't keep His promise, then He isn't God. Now, the
main thing is, is to find out whether it's the will of God. It's easy to go... If God said,
"Tomorrow, come down here in this audience," and stood here, and we
really knew that it was the Son of God, knew He was, and said, "Go not,
any of you all tomorrow. It's going to rain all day long."
*WHAT YOU KNOW GOD'S WILL IS,
THEN YOU CAN LOOK IN GOD'S WORD HERE, AND FIND GOD'S WILL FOR YOU.
FOR.HIM.WILL.I.ACCEPT_HAMMOND.INFRIDAY_52-0718
E-27Well, be easy for me to go home, and just go to bed, and
say, "I ain't going out tomorrow, 'cause it's going to rain all day."
See? 'Cause if He said so, it's going to rain. Don't you believe that? What you know God's will is, then you can look in God's
Word here, and find God's will for you. Don't you believe that?
And then
the only thing that this other does is straighten the individual. See?
This is for the entire Church, for everybody. And then if you get a full...?...
of faith, clean yourself up, or accept Jesus
Christ, and believe Him, it's bound to bring God's Word to pass, 'cause it's a
seed.
*IT'S SOMETHING THAT MAN
LONGS TO SEE... IT'S JUST THE WAY YOU LOOK AT IT.

E-16Job stood up and he said, "I know my Redeemer
liveth, and the last days He will stand on the earth: though the skin worms
destroys this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God." The prophet in
the Spirit, things turn.
This
same Job longed to see God. One time he said, "If
I could only go to his house as it was. If I could knock [Brother Branham
knocks--Ed.] on his door."It's
something that man longs to see.
And I taken it upon myself tonight by the work of God--the
Word of God, and the works of God, to prove to you that every one of you can
see God. It's just the way you look at it.
Psa 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psa 20:8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Psa 20:9 Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call. Psa 36:5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Psa 36:6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. Psa 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. Psa 36:8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. Psa 36:9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isa 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Isa 12:4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Isa 12:5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Isa 12:6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
2Co 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
1Th 2:3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: 1Th 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. 1Th 2:5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: 1Th 2:6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 1Ti 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 1Ti 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Gen 22:7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Psa 18:33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
Psa 18:34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
Psa 18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Psa 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
Psa 25:9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psa 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Psa 25:11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
Psa 25:12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
8 God always has had a way. There is two ways, that's, our ways or His ways. God has a way for today, for He's always made a way for everything. God, at the beginning, knowed the end, so He has laid out His Scripture for each age. And that age, when it comes along... Now don't fail to see this. That age, when it comes along, usually the ministry is so mixed up in isms, and so forth, and traditions, till it's a million miles away from the Word.
9 And then God always sends someone on the scene, a prophet. And this prophet... God never changes His system. He never changes His ways. He always does it the same way. He always has; He must do it this time. And, through this, God works and vindicates that Word. As I spoke to you last night, God doing His own interpretation. God needs no one to interpret the Word to Him. He interprets It Himself, by vindicating It, making It real. And when God says He'll do a certain thing, then He does it, there is no more question to it. That's the way He does it.
*IF YOU CAN JUST GET THAT IN YOUR HEART, THAT GOD IS MORE WILLING TO HELP YOU THAN YOU ARE TO HELP YOURSELF.
10 So God has made a way for us. God loves His children. He loves His people. He wants to help them. He wants to help you more than you want help. If you can just get that in your heart, that God is more willing to help you than you are to help yourself. But He has a way, and that's the only way that He'll work is through His way. You must come to His terms, not your terms. His terms! You want it a certain way, but He--He gives it to you His way.
*...IF WE OBEY GOD'S PROVIDED WAY...WILL LEAVE, BUT WE GOT TO COME HIS WAY FOR THIS DAY.
12 And I say, tonight, that if we obey God's provided way, leprosy will leave, sickness will leave, everything will leave, but we got to come His way for this day. Now, dipping in the Jordan wouldn't do any good now; that was for Naaman. The law was for the--for the Jews. Grace is by Christ.
*THAT'S GOD INTERPRETING HIS OWN WORD.
13 But each age has its part of the Gospel already predicted. This Bible is the complete revelation of Jesus Christ. There can be no more added to It, or anything taken away from It; the person who does it is cursed. We cannot add nothing to It, take nothing from It. We must look in Here and see what's promised for this age, and then see it happen. That's God interpreting His Own Word. When It said, "A virgin shall conceive," she did. That's God's interpretation of It. What He promises, that He does.
*... WHEN HE SAYS ANYTHING, HANG YOUR SOUL ON IT, BECAUSE IT'S TRUE.
14 Now we see that God doesn't change His systems of doing things. He always does it the same. We are constantly changing because that we are finite. We make all kinds of mistakes, and can improve and get better. But God is infinite. His first decision is perfect all the time. He cannot get smarter. He was the... He is the source of all wisdom. He is all wisdom. He is all power, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and infinite. So therefore, when He says anything, hang your soul on It, because it's true.
Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
Psa 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
Psa 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
Psa 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
Psa 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
Psa 119:7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
Psa 119:8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
Psa 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psa 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psa 119:12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
Psa 119:13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Psa 119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
Psa 119:15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
Psa 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Psa 119:17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
Psa 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Pro 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
Pro 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
Pro 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Pro 16:5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Pro 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
Pro 16:7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Pro 16:8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
Pro 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Pro 16:10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
Pro 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag are his work.
Pro 16:12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
Pro 16:13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
Psa 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
