25-0509A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-7 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)

25-0509A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-7 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)

2Pe 1:1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 1:5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2Pe 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2Pe 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

2Pe 1:8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe 1:9  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

2Pe 1:10  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Col 1:10  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:11  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Rom 8:24  For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom 8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Heb 6:10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Heb 6:11  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Heb 6:12  That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Heb 6:13  For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
Heb 6:14  Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
Heb 6:15  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

*TEMPERANCE, HOW TO ANSWER IN KINDNESS WHEN WRATH IS SPOKE TO YOU.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  33-6    Yes, sir. See, add these things. Add temperance to it. Oh... Temperance, how to answer in kindness when wrath is spoke to you. Somebody say, "You bunch of holy-rollers down there." Don't jump out and roll up your sleeves now. See? Not that, but talk with godly love. Temperance, kindness, is that the way you want to be?

When you're riled upon, rile not back. Let Him be your Example. When they said, "If Thou be the Son of God, turn these stones into bread," He could've done it and show He was God; but He had temperance. When they called Him Beelzebub, He said, "I forgive you for it." Is that right? They pulled handfuls of beard out of His face, and spit in His face, and said, "Come down off the cross."

He said, "Father forgive them; they don't even know what they're doing."

*THERE'S WHERE THE CHURCH IS FAILING IN ONE PLACE: OVERCOMING, OVERCOMING TEMPERANCE--TEMPER, OVERCOMING DIFFERENCE…

A.HIDDEN.LIFE.IN.CHRIST_  SAN.FERNANDO.CA  THURSDAY_  55-1110

E-47    There's where the church is failing in one place: overcoming, overcoming temperance--temper, overcoming difference, overcoming church prejudice, overcoming hatred. Many people tonight who shout and speak with tongues and run up-and-down the aisle, and hate their neighbor. That has... Brother, you're lost yet. That's hard to say, but that's the truth. Right. Overcome. You can only overcome when you...

You say, "I'm eating manna, glory to God." Yes, but look what happens from one day to the other. You get the miss-meal cramps. Come on in where the manna's fresh all the time. Whether your neighbor treats you right or not, you'll love him anyhow. That's right. Whether he agrees with you or not, you love him anyhow. That's the way you got to do it. That's the hidden life. That's that consecrated life. That's that life that the veils of the worlds... And you're shut off from the things of the world. You only live in Christ. You see what I mean, church?

*SO THIS IS PATIENCE. NOW, THAT'S THE NEXT THING THAT'S GOING TO BUILD THIS STATUE… GOD'S GOT REAL MATERIAL IN HIS BUILDING.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  35-4    Then after that, fourthly, you want to add patience to your faith. "If you got faith, it worketh patience," the Bible said. See? So this is patience. Now, that's the next thing that's going to build this statue. You know, God's got real material in His building. See how short we are, brethren? See, see? See why, where we're at? Yes, sir. See, we have glory; you have shouts, and things, because we got faith; but when we come down to these things here, God can't build us into that statue. See? He can't--He can't make us up to that kind of a place. We got all these other things we fall and slide off with it. See? He can't build His church.

*FIRST THING IS HAVE PATIENCE WITH GOD.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  35-5    Patience with what? What kind of patience? First thing is have patience with God. If you've got real genuine faith, you'll have real genuine patience, because faith worketh patience. When God says anything, you believe it. That's all. You got patience. Say, "Well, I asked Him last night to heal me, and I'm just as sick this morning." Oh my, what patience. God told Abraham, and twenty-five years later there wasn't even one sign; he still believed it. He was patient with God.

Put Him always before you. Let Him be the next crossing thing. You can't cross Him, so just keep Him before you. "He said so, and I'm... It's going to happen." See? Keep Him before you. That's right.

*THEN GOD TRIES YOUR PATIENCE.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  35-6    Noah had patience. Yeah. Noah had real godly patience. God said, "I'm going to destroy this world with rain," and Noah preached a hundred and twenty years at it: plenty patience, not even a dew fell from heaven. Wasn't nothing. Just as dusty as it ever was for a hundred and twenty years, but he was patient.

Then God tries your patience. That's right. God tries them. After He told Noah... Now, He said, "Noah, I want you to go ahead and get in the ark. I'm going to run the animals in there. And I--I want you to get in, climb way upstairs now, so you can look out the top window. Now, I want you to get in there. I want you to tell these people: 'Tomorrow, what I've been preaching for a a hundred and twenty years is going to take place.' All right, you go down there and tell them."

What was the first sign? Noah got in the ark: wasn't no rain.

*HE HAD PATIENCE 'CAUSE HE HAD FAITH.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  37-1    Noah waited; the fourth day passed: no rain. It's all right; it's going to happen. I can hear Mrs. Noah come around and say, "Dad, are you sure?"

"Don't talk like that." He had patience 'cause he had faith. Yes, sir. He had virtue. He had knowledge that God was right. He had temperance; he didn't fly loose and say, "Well, I don't know what it's all about. I lost all my popularity out there." No, no. "People don't care for me no more. I'll go out there and start all over new again." No, no. He had patience. God promised; God will do it. God will do it 'cause God said so.

*MOSES--HE HAD PATIENCE WITH GOD.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  38-3    Moses--he had patience with God. Yes, sir. Said, "Moses, I've heard the cry of My people. I've seen their afflictions. I'm coming down to deliver them. I'm going to send you down." And the little contrast there between him and God, and God showed him His glory. He said, "Here I go." When he once seen the glory of God (You see?), he had faith.

*WHEN YOU'VE DONE EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS DO: SEEMS LIKE IT WENT WRONG, STAND STILL.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  39-6    When you've done exactly what He says do: seems like it went wrong, stand still. Be patient. Moses said, "You know when I was laid on that foundation there was patience laid on there, so I'll just wait and see what God will do.

There the old serpents was, crawling around, blowing and hissing at one another. First thing you know Moses' serpent went, "Gulp, gulp, gulp," and gulped them all down. He had patience.

They that wait upon the Lord,

Shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like an eagle. (Is that right? See? That's...)

They'll run and not be weary,

Walk and not faint...

See, just wait on the Lord. Have patience. See?

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  40-2    Yes, sir. Then Israel was going to be taken out. The great contests came and took... Moses waited. Then he got into the wilderness. It's only about three or four day's journey; it's only forty miles from where he crossed there, right across where they crossed again. But Moses in the wilderness waited forty years. Patience. Amen. That's right. He waited forty years. Oh, yes, sir.

*AND WE SHOULD HAVE PATIENCE WITH ONE ANOTHER TOO

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  40-3    And we should have patience with one another too. See? One time, we get--we get so much impatient with one anothers. We think we got to be like Moses. Moses had patience with the people. Look at--that's what caused them not to go over. See, if you're trying to do something... Like I've tried to get this message over to the Tabernacle, to see that each member of the Tabernacle becomes this. It's hard to do. I've tried to have patience; this is thirty-three years (See?), have patience. Women still bob their hair still just the same. But just have patience; just have patience, wait. Have to. If you ain't got it, don't try to build on to this down here. Have patience.

*PATIENCE WITH THE PEOPLE…

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

  40-4    Even one time when that rebellion bunch of people had such impatience they caused Moses to do something that was wrong... But yet when it come to a show down, God got sick of their action. He said, "Separate yourself, Moses. I'll kill the whole bunch of them and start anew."

He throwed himself in the breach and said, "God, don't do it." What? Patience with the people that was rebelling against him.

I wonder if we could do that? If you can't, don't try to build on this, because it--it don't change, you know. That's the way the first one is vulcanized into this, and that's the way every one of them has to be vulcanized. If you don't, you don't come to that statue of the dwelling place of the living God. You haven't got patience, patience with one another.

*I BELIEVE HE'S WAITING LONG, BUT I BELIEVE HIS PATIENCE IS GETTING THIN WITH US.

GOD.KEEPS.HIS.WORD.1_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  57-0306

E-11    Now, I believe this. I could be wrong; I'm just a man as you are. But I believe the coming of the Lord is past due. I believe the reason that God can't come, is on the condition of His Church. It's all separated, and broke up, and everything that could be thought of is mixed into it. It's got to come a time for an old fashion shaking down, settling down for the Church of God.

Now, as we see this day, that was a perfect type then of this today. First thing they had, they had the ark, a prophet, an Angel: the Word, their prophet, their Angel, a sacred Light that followed them. And as they came out of Egypt, after Moses finally... God taken forty years to bring them into condition. And they were forty years passed, because of their differences, and not recognizing.

GOD.KEEPS.HIS.WORD.1_  PHOENIX.AZ  WEDNESDAY_  57-0306

  E-12    The Bible said that in the days of Noah, God was long-suffering. He wasn't willing that any should perish. And He said, "As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the coming of the Son of man." I believe the coming of the Lord is past due then. For He had to wait long in Noah's time. He had to wait long in bringing out Israel. I believe He's waiting long, but I believe His patience is getting thin with us.

*THAT WE MIGHT RUN THIS RACE WITH PATIENCE THAT'S SET BEFORE US, LOOKING TO THE EXAMPLE, JESUS CHRIST, GOD'S SON.

LIFE.IS.THE.HEALER_  INDIANAPOLIS.IN  TUESDAY_  57-0611

E-21    All these little things that's moving on now, these little wheels, mortal wheels that's turning, all come by the program of God. That's right. So He knows how to take care of them if you'll just let Him have them. If you keep them, you'll lose them. If you give them to Him, you'll find them. That's right. But you be sure to give it to Him and give all your mind and your thoughts to Him tonight, now, that He can have the right of way in your heart. Dash aside, lay aside every sin, that's unbelief, and the weight does so easily beset you, now, that we might run this race with patience that's set before us, looking to the example, Jesus Christ, God's Son.

2Th 3:5  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Php 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Php 2:14  Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Php 2:15  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Php 2:16  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
