Luk 1:39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
Luk 1:40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
Luk 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
Luk 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Luk 1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
Luk 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
The great... I believe that we
are facing... Are you listening to me? [Congregation says,
"Amen."--Ed.] All right. We're facing, now, looking at a greatest
drama that's ever been set in all human history, working out here before us.
The great field of the world here, and a drama that God is going to act out,
right now; that it's a startling to look around over the world and see how the
thing is moving together. Oh, it's just something's fixing to happen, friend.
This what we've talked about and said about is right now here. It's already
starting, everywhere, breaking out.
ADOPTION.2_ JEFF.IN
AD.2 WEDNESDAY_ 60-0518
132 There you are, entering into this promised
land. How do we get into it? We are predestinated to it, the church, by the
foreknowledge of God. Has been predestinated to what? To His honor, by His
grace, to the glory and worship and glory of God. Papa, setting back there in
the beginning, self-existent, nothing around Him, wanted something to worship,
so He foreordained and predestinated a church, and before the foundation of the
world, and put their names in the Lamb's Book of Life when they was slain
before the foundation of the world, that they might appear to His glory and to
His praises at the end of time, when will gather all things in that one Man, Christ
Jesus. Whew. Glory. That's it. That's just... And that's it right there, my
brother, sister. Don't you never move from that.
ADOPTION.2_ JEFF.IN AD.2 WEDNESDAY_ 60-0518
133 God by His election grace called you. God
by His election grace sanctified you. God by His election grace and His power
baptized you and put you into this land of rest. They which have entered into
this rest has ceased from their going astray. They ceased from their works like
God did from His. They have joy unspeakable and full of glory. The Tree of Life
is blooming in them. They have long-suffering, gentle, goodness, patience,
faith--faith--faith, meekness, gentleness, and so forth. The Tree of Life is
blooming in them because their hope is anchored in Christ Jesus, the witness of
the Holy Ghost bearing record with signs and wonders following the believers.
"These signs shall follow them that believe." As they go along, they
heal the sick; they cast out devils; they speak with tongues; they see visions.
They... And they walk with God; they talk with God. No devil can move them;
they're steadfast, looking for Eternal Life. Forgetting those things that are
in the past, they press towards the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus.
There they are. There you are. That's that church.
26-0731A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-14 (GOD PREDESTINATED THE CHURCH TO THAT GREAT, GLORIOUS STAND)
2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2Co 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
1Pe 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
1Pe 2:14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
1Pe 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
1Pe 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
1Pe 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
1Pe 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
1Pe 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
1Pe 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Pe 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1Pe 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Luk 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Luk 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
Luk 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
Luk 12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luk 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Luk 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Luk 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luk 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luk 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
Luk 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Mat 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Mat 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Mat 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Mat 10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Mat 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Mat 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
109
The people, not
because they're bad people; they
were planted in that straight row, like corn, but Satan sowed the creepers,
called science, research, education, doctors' degrees. Sometime they won't even let you in the
pulpit unless you can produce a doctor's degree from some seminary somewhere.
It's all wrong! Not the people; it's the
program that's wrong. And
now what's it done? It's all headed up again, and brought the whole entire
world (through a bunch of hybriding, perversion of the original Seed of God) to
another darkened chaos.
110 But I'm
so glad that God is mindful of us again, that He can still move upon the face
of the condition. He
promised He would do it, and call a little flock which would be His Bride.
*AND WHEN THE LIFE IN THE
WORD MEETS THE LIFE OF THE SPIRIT, IT PRODUCES WHATEVER THE SEED IS.
112 God, through a Seed of His Word! And there is only one thing that can quicken the Word,
and that is the Spirit, for It is the Life-Giver to the Word. And
when the Life in the Word meets the Life of the Spirit, It produces whatever
the Seed is.
113 Now notice what's happened. In the garden of Eden was God's economy of innocence, and
that was one of the--the dispensations. The first dispensation was innocent, the people knowed no
sin. They didn't know anything about sin. Both Adam and Eve were naked, but
they were hid from their nakedness, by a spirit veil over their face. They
never knew that they were naked, at all, because they were hid. For, God's veil in their own minds, they didn't know what
right and wrong was.
And them both standing there naked, showed that the knowledge had not yet come
to them, see, that they were naked. The pair was naked and knew it not.
115 There is
God's Seed, under innocence, not knowing at all they were naked, under a veil
of the Holy Spirit, veiling them from sin.
*SO IT WOULD HAVE TO BE THE
HOLY SPIRIT THAT WOULD GIVE LIFE IN THE WORD TO PRODUCE THESE SIGNS.
E-8 Now, the Gospel doesn't only
consist of the Word only, but through the power and the manifestation of the
Holy Spirit. 'Cause the only way that it could be done, for these signs to
follow, would be the Word to take Life. So it would have to be the Holy Spirit that would give
Life in the Word to produce these signs. You brethren believe that.
*AND IT'S ONLY THE HOLY
SPIRIT THAT CAN QUICKEN THE WORD. HE IS THE ONLY ONE CAN PUT IT IN ACTION...
A.COURT.TRIAL_ BIRMINGHAM.AL
SUNDAY_ 64-0412
78 .....He knows whether they are believers or not, because He is
the only one can put Life in the Word. Here would be my body standing here without a spirit, I'd
be dead; but it's only life can quicken this body to move. And it's only the Holy Spirit that can quicken the Word.
He is the only one can put It in action, and He ought to know whether they are
believers or not. And
against their own testimony that they said, "Others claimed to be healed,
and others claimed to see these things," but they didn't. Now, see, his
witness is already condemned.
* JESUS, THE BODY, HE KNEW
THAT HE WAS THE PREDESTINATED WORD, THE PERSON OF GOD THAT WAS TO STAND IN THAT
DAY TO BE THE SACRIFICE FOR SIN.
65-1
Now, if Jesus
knew Who He was... He was a predestinated creature of time. You believe that? Jesus, the body, He knew that He was the predestinated
Word, the Person of God that was to stand in that day to be the Sacrifice for
sin. And He knew His adversary....., He knew His adversary, and He knew Who He
was; therefore, those two great forces come together, knowledge and faith.
Jesus knew Who He was. Satan
knew the Bible as good as Jesus did, but It wouldn't work for Satan. See? No
matter how much knowledge you have it won't work.
65-3
Can you plant a
seed without it manifesting what it is, if it's growing? Can you plant a grain
of corn without making corn if it grows? Can you plant a potato less it raise
potato? Can you plant a flower without being that kind of flower? Then if you're sowed, and the seed of God in your heart,
it's got to produce that. Jesus said, "He shall do My works if he believes
Me." If he says he believes It, and these don't follow him, he's a liar,
"He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also, even more
than this, for I go to My Father." Why, it's strong, but just don't hit the skidding place
and slide off over on to some rock somewhere. It'll just fall down in the
valley, so that the winds can't blow it away and the fowls can't get it, it'll
grow. Hide it down in your heart.
*...PREDESTINATED THE CHURCH
TO THAT GREAT, GLORIOUS STAND!.
184"Predestinated!"
There's the mystery. He,
before Christ or anything else was ever on earth, you see His great mystery,
that He chose the Bride. Knowing Eve would fall, from disbelieving the Word, knowing that she
would fall; but He would choose a
Bride that would not fall, that would hold to that Word regardless of what all
the rest of the world had to say about It. They would hold to that Word! They are predestinated to stand there, "the adoption
of children by Jesus Christ," predestinated the Church to that great,
glorious stand!
*AND CHRIST IS THE WORD, AND
TAKING THE WORD AND MAKING UP HIS CHURCH, EVE; SEE, BACK TO HIMSELF AGAIN...
185Now you see His
secret? What to? To restore fallen Eve, as she was a prefigure of the Church.
And now notice, as God opened up the side of Adam and took out Eve, by his own
flesh and blood; and divided his spirit from masculine and feminish, to
feminish, and put it in Eve. Took the rib from under his side, and made Eve out
of it; so God did the same thing, taking out of the side of Christ, the Blood
and the water. And Christ is the
Word, and taking the Word and making up His Church, Eve; see, back to Himself
again, redeemed by the Blood that was come from His Body. You see it now? [Congregation says,
"Amen."--Ed.]
*THE BRIDE HAS TO BE THE
WORD, FOR HE IS THE WORD.
186 God's
great mystery now being unfolded, that's been hid since the foundation of the
world, but prefigured it all the way down through. Now watch, we find that, that He--that
He did that. And here in Ephesians, and many other places, but that will give
you enough to... Now, down through the
ages, He has been slowly unfolding this mystery. Can you see now? Now, down through
the...
187How did He? What
happened in the prefigure now? He opened Adam's side and took part of his
flesh, which was Adam, to make Eve. The Bride has to be the Word, for He is the Word. She cannot stand on creeds. She cannot
stand on denomination. She cannot stand on good behavior. She has to stand alone on the Word, because She is part
of It. She was taken from Christ. See?
62Well, Jesus found
that same thing when He come to the earth. He found the Pharisees, the
Sadducees, and whatmore, the different orders, or organizations and creeds of
that day. What did He say to them? "By your traditions you have made the
commandments of God of non-effect." See?
...For instance, you try to find God in saying the
Apostles' Creed. And then you come back to find Mark 16 to be made a reality to
you, "these signs shall follow them that believe"; why, they'll tell
you right quick, "Well, them days of miracles is past." Then what
does it do? It takes the
commandments of God and makes them of non-effect (See?); they're not effective,
the commandments of God.
His commandment is "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel
to every creature." Now, the
Gospel came not by Word only, but through manifestation of the Word,
demonstrations of the Holy Spirit making the Word live. See, it's the Spirit taking the Word.
*AND NOW WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT
GETS AHOLD OF THE WORD, IT BRINGS IT TO PASS AND MANIFESTS IT, AND MAKES IT A
REALITY, EVERY WORD OF GOD.
65The Word was a
thought. And a thought is... A word
is a thought expressed. See?
Now, it was God's thoughts, what He was
going to do, then He expressed it on the Word.
And now when the Holy Spirit gets
ahold of the Word, It brings It to pass and manifests It, and makes It a
reality, every Word of God. No Scripture but what is given by
inspiration, and every Word of God is perfect and correct, and It will be
fulfilled. Every
Word must be fulfilled. "Heavens and earth will pass away," said
Jesus, "but My Word shall not fail." Every Word of It must be
fulfilled.
*OVERCOME HOW? BY TAKING THE
WORD, THE PROMISE, IN HUMILITY, HUMBLY WALKING.
174"But he that
overcometh," he that overcomes all those worldly things of this age, what
will they do? All will set with
Him in His throne; will go in the Rapture when He comes. Oh, my! What do I care, then? What
should we care what the world says? What should we care what anybody else says?
The great Holy Spirit is among us. His
Pillar of Fire leads us and guides us. His Word is vindicated before us. His
love is in our heart.
The world is in the back. We've passed from death unto Life. The world thinks
you're crazy.
177That's what we all
want. Isn't it? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] That's what we
want. That's our--that's our hope and plea. No other thoughts have we, but that
one upon Jesus Christ. And upon
His righteousness we stand, alone, and His righteousness in His Word. "And the Word was made flesh and
dwelt among us." And the Word is
still vindicating Itself.
178Overcome how? By taking the Word, the promise, in humility, humbly
walking.
Jer 7:2 Stand in the gate of the LORD'S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
Jer 7:3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
Jer 7:4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.
Jer 7:5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
Jer 7:6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
Jer 7:7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
Joe 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
Joe 2:22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
Joe 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Joe 2:24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
Joe 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Joe 2:26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
Psa 115:11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:12 The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
Psa 115:13 He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
Psa 115:14 The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
Psa 115:15 Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
Psa 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
Psa 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
Psa 115:18 But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.
1Ch 16:14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. 1Ch 16:15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; 1Ch 16:16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; 1Ch 16:17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 1Ch 16:18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance; 1Ch 16:19 When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it. 1Ch 16:20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; 1Ch 16:21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, 1Ch 16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
Heb 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. Heb 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; Heb 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Heb 2:5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. Heb 2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Heb 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Heb 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
*YET WE PUT SO MUCH EMPHASIS
AND SO MUCH CONCERN ABOUT THE NATURAL THINGS, AND SO LITTLE ABOUT THE SPIRITUAL
THING.
LOOKING.AT.THE.UNSEEN_
LA.CA FRIDAY_ 59-0410
E-17 .....Could you scientifically show me what love is? Go down to
the drugstore and buy me a quarters worth of love; I need some more." See?
You can't see it. It's the unseen. Show me what life is; I need just a little
more life; could you go buy me a quarters worth? Show me what life is, what
love is, what personality is, what the Holy Spirit is, what God is. It's the unseen things that's real, lasting. These things are temporal and perishable. Yet we put so
much emphasis and so much concern about the natural things, and so little about
the spiritual thing.
*GOD IN HEAVEN WHO KNOWS ALL
THINGS, CAN SO PUT A GIFT IN HIS CHURCH THAT HE CAN MAGNIFY IT AND REFLECT
HIMSELF THROUGH IT,...
LOOKING.AT.THE.UNSEEN_
LA.CA FRIDAY_ 59-0410
E-18 .....For in glory we've got a
risen Saviour Who sends it forth, and the Holy Ghost reveals it and makes it
positive. Therefore we got a sending station and a receiving
station." That's correct. God in heaven Who
knows all things, can so put a gift in His church that He can magnify it and
reflect Himself through it, and say things which is absolutely
impossible to--by scientists to prove. See, we
don't walk by things we do not--we do see; we walk by things we do not see.
*CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH AND
HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR IT, AND WE'RE SUPPOSED TO DO THE SAME THING...
Now, and if you see
that the church is wrong, you're--no matter... You love the church, and--and
you're... Christ loved the church and He gave His
life for it, and we're supposed to do the same thing: not only supposed to, but
we will if we've got the love of Christ in us. It constrains us and behooves us
to do so as Christians. Yes.
*BUT THERE'S SOMETHING OUGHT
TO BECOME BEFORE THAT: IT'S GOD FIRST. THE GOING-ON OF THE CHURCH ...
E-61 He had his home paid for, just like we do today. That's
the first thing we think about: pay for a home. That's good. You ought to.
That's right. But there's something ought to become
before that: it's God first. The going-on of the church, it's every man's duty
in this church right here, to see that the thing goes on right. And you
put your force to it to bring every man and woman, boy or girl that you can in
the streets, and hedges, and byways to bring them into the church.
*GOD GET AHOLD OF YOU, AND
CHANGE YOUR LIFE TO MAKE YOU FROM WHAT YOU--YOU--WHAT YOU'RE NOT, TO WHAT YOU
OUGHT TO BE...
E-55 .....Now, when you see God get ahold
of you, and change your life to make you from what you--you--what you're not,
to what you ought to be, then you're ready to tell somebody else about
it. You're convinced.
E-56 But the trouble of it is, we walk up... We have a short,
quick bypass. We just, "Oh, we can't stay there very long. No, don't talk
ten days to us, or all night." No, we got to go up, and maybe we'll shake
hands with the minister, or put our name on the book, or go through some little
sensation. "We got it." Out right... One night in the barroom, the
next night preaching the Gospel. See, see? Oh, my. That's what--where the
trouble is. That's what we get so mixed up about (See?), on those things. Let a man prove hisself.
*IF WE STAY LONG ENOUGH WITH
HIM, HE WILL MAKE YOU WALK DIFFERENT, TALK DIFFERENT, LIVE DIFFERENT, ACT
DIFFERENT, SLEEP DIFFERENT, BE DIFFERENT.
E-39After Jacob had
wrestled all night, instead of trying to war away that Man, Jacob held onto
Him. Oh, I wish we had about a half hour on that, how that wrestling prince...
He--he was able to hold on until he got what he was after. He held until... It
took all night, but he stayed there. He wanted to be absolutely convinced. And when he stayed, until God changed his walking, he was
convinced.
That's the trouble of it today. We don't stay long enough till we get
our walking convinced. We don't walk like Christians. If we stay long enough with Him, He will make you walk
different, talk different, live different, act different, sleep different, be
different. And
the reason is we don't stay long enough. We don't hold on. Jacob held on.
*YOU'VE GOT TO BE CONVINCED
FIRST THAT IT IS GOD. THEN YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE STANDING.
12-4Why? You've got to be convinced first that it is God. Then you
know where you're standing. True. Convinced first, then you
get your concern. Although
people claim God's with them, but they're... It's not all... Mother used to
say, "Actions speaks louder than words." Certainly it does. You must act it, believe it, be convinced, and then
you'll be concerned.
Jesus said, "If you love Me, feed My sheep." Now, that's
where I think we've failed a lot, is feeding His sheep. "If you love Me, feed My sheep." Today it's almost, "shear my
sheep." Get them into a place and take everything they've got, and make
them pledge their home and all of their old age pensions and everything else.
Talk about a shearing; Jesus never said that.
13-1
Brother Parker
said this morning, "God loves His people." He loves His sheep. He
said, "Feed them." And
sheep must have sheep food. And He never said, "Educate My sheep." He said, "Feed
them," not educate them; feed them; give them sheep food.
What is sheep Food? The
Bread of Life (Jesus is the Bread of Life), Gospel, Truth. Preach it without
compromise. Then
you know that when you have to answer at the day of the judgment for their
souls, as a minister of the Gospel, you can stand and say, "That's what
was wrote in the Word." Feed them the Truth. Feed My sheep.
*YOU KNOW GOD'S WORD'S WITH
YOU AND IN YOU, YOU CAN BE CONVINCED.
24-5
...The runaway
prophet Moses, when Moses got convinced that it was God in that bush... You
know, Moses never had any experience with God. He had a lot of theology, but
he'd run away. But when he was
convinced that that was God in the bush, because the Voice spoke from the bush
quoted Scripture to him, and he was convinced that that was God, and God said,
"I'll be with you," you know, he'd lost all concern about the burdens
in Egypt; He'd been out there forty years and them slave away, but when he was
convinced that it was God's will to deliver them, he got concerned right the next day.
...Yes, it may make you act strange. It might've made
him act strange, but he was convinced. Why? "I'm going with you, Moses.
I'm going to take this stick that's in your hand, and I'm going to deliver My
people."
Now, a little, old, crooked stick didn't look very much, but brother,
he was convinced, because the Word of God was with it. You know God's Word's with you and in you, you can be
convinced.
*WHEN YOU'RE CONVINCED THAT
THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, GOD'S CONCERNED TO TAKE CARE OF YOU WITH IT.
25-4
The Hebrew
children: they were convinced that He was able to keep His Word. Yes. As long
as they would stand on it... God told them not to bow to idols. That's just
exactly what God meant. And they knew that if they did not bow down to that
idol, that God was able to keep His Word. They were convinced that He was. And then when they were convinced about standing with His
Word, God was concerned about standing with them.
When
you're convinced that this is the Word of God, God's concerned to take care of
you with It. Tried
It through the foreign fields and everywhere. When you're convinced that It's
right--but you've got to be convinced--then God will be concerned with you. But
first, you must be convinced that It's Him,
and He keeps His promise; then God's concerned.
Heb 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Heb 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Heb 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Heb 11:28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2Pe 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
26-0724A_TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD PT-13 (WHAT GOD HAS SAID & WHAT HE PROMISED, IT'S THE ULTIMATE)
2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isa 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
Isa 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Isa 40:6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
Isa 40:7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
*YOU MUST LOOK TO WHAT GOD
HAS SAID AND WHAT HE PROMISED, AND SEE HIM TO DO IT, THEN THAT'S YOUR ULTIMATE
RIGHT THERE.
And when
you find God's Ultimate, His Word, a promise upon a certain thing, you must
know first that it is God's Word, that the thing that you're seeing being done
is God. There--there's no--there's no
"maybe so, it could be, it looks like it might be." "It is God!" Then when you get to that spot,
then that's the Pearl of great price, you must get away from anything that
anybody else tells you contrary to It. You must not look to what man has
achieved. You must look to what God has said and
what He promised, and see Him to do it, then that's your Ultimate right there. And
then everything that you are, everything that you
was, everything that you hope to be, must be placed upon This just as though it
was death and life to you at that moment.
*... THE HOLY SPIRIT HERE
TAKING THE WORD OF GOD BY VISION, MOVING IT OUT INTO EVERY HEART LIKE THAT, AS
THE WORD IS GOING FORTH AND EVERY BELIEVER RECEIVING IT.
FELLOWSHIP_ CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_
55-0501A
28 ...And when Christian believers can believe that present
now, right now, setting together, seated here in heavenly places in Christ
Jesus: in Christ Jesus, fellowshipping (Amen.)
around the Word of God, the Holy Spirit here taking the Word of God by vision,
moving It out into every heart like that, as the Word is going forth and every
believer receiving It. Oh, if we would stand and claim our God given
privileges. That's the time that God can ever take that wishbone out of a person's
back and put a real old fashion Gospel backbone into him: somebody who'll stand
for truth, no matter how dark it looks.
*...IT'S THE HOLY GHOST
TAKING THE WORD OF GOD AND MAKING IT MANIFEST.
E-28The Bible said the
Gospel came to us not in word only, but through the power, manifestations of
the Holy Ghost. In other words, it's
the Holy Ghost taking the Word of God and making It manifest. See? And otherwise the only way that
the signs of Mark 16 can follow the
believer is that the Holy Spirit Himself takes the Word of God and demonstrates
it to the people. That's
it.
Now, faith makes that Word
live. See, the Word is
God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God." And then Jesus said, "If ye abide in Me and My Word in you, ask what you will
and it'll be done for you." See? That's staying with
Christ in the Word. Don't
go right or left; stay right with it. See? And then it's actually not your word then; it's His Word,
and His Word has the power and authority behind It.
*...IT'S BRINGING FORTH LIFE
AGAIN THROUGH THE BIRTH, THROUGH THE WOMB OF HIS BRIDE.
24-3The Holy Spirit
that was in the garden of Eden was to water the Seed. Man wasn't made to die;
he's made to live, but hybreeding brought life--of death there, rather. She
hybrid. Now, you deny the serpent's seed. Then I'll ask you, "What's these
funeral services about?" She's hybrid. Every one of us are hybrid from the
original. That's the reason we're constantly dying. But (oh God.) there's a germ of Life come from the real
Seed, that God's proved It was His Seed; He rose Him up again. See? That through that Life that's
going over the original Seed like was given to Eve over His real church, it's bringing forth Life again through the birth, through
the womb of His Bride. See?
Oh, it's rich and glorious. I give a little time to study so it'll sink
in.
He is that
Seed. He is that Seed that was produced by the Word of God."Be it unto me according to
Thy word."There's the Seed (See?), taking the Word. See?
*THAT'S THE REASON THAT GOD
MANIFESTED HIMSELF SO PERFECTLY IN JESUS: BECAUSE HE WAS THE SEED WORD, THE GERM
WORD ITSELF (THE GERM THAT'S INSIDE THE SEED, THAT'S THE LIFE IN THE SEED).
24-6Now, Jesus is the
Word made manifest. He and the Word is One and the same, and that's why it was
so made manifest in Him so perfectly. That's the reason that God manifested Himself so
perfectly in Jesus: because He was the Seed Word, the germ Word Itself (the
germ that's inside the seed, that's the life in the seed). You get it? See, it was the... He was the germ Word of God. The germ is the Spirit; the germ is the
Water. And Jesus had to be broken open there
in order for that Seed to let forth It's Life to water other seed that was
coming. Do you
see? Even He said, "Other sheep I have that's not of even of this fold, I
have. They're going to see that; they're
going to get that Word and stay right with It. And I'm sending forth the Spirit
to water it, and it'll produce just exactly."
It'll
produce miracles; it will produce the power of God; it'll produce... And it
will not deny anything, because it is a kindred seed with the Seed.
*UNLESS YOU ARE DEEPLY
SINCERE! AND YOU CANNOT BE SINCERE UNTIL YOU'RE POSITIVE UNDERSTAND.
62 Unless you are deeply sincere! And you cannot be
sincere until you're positive understand. If you're presuming, or guessing, or
hoping so, then there cannot be a depths of sincerity that God requires. It, faith, is not a "hope
so" or "it could be right." It's got to be absolutely
"Amen!" It's your ultimate. It--it--it's
your--it's your absolute. It's the thing that you're tied to. See? You
have come to your ultimate, that "It is the Truth and there's... It's
nothing but the truth, and It must be thus!" And
then when you realize that in your mind, then you've got to approach It with
your whole life, soul, body, all that's in you, just completely sell out
everything to it. As Jesus so graciously taught us in the man buying
pearls, and he found the One of great price and he sold all his others to get
to It. All the truths and everything that he had, thought they were good
pearls, he--he... this One meant all to him.
E-43Just like the Word in the beginning was spoken to us in the garden of
Eden, spoken Word. And
the second time it was made flesh and dwelt
among us. And
the third time it become part of us when
the Holy Ghost dwelling in us, God coming into the man. First spoke the Word; the enemy tore it
down. Then the Word was made flesh; He was crucified. But now (Amen.), there's
a difference in the Word. The Word is become the church, and the church is the
Word. God... All that God was He poured into Christ. All Christ was poured into
the church: the Holy Ghost. Now, the enemy's got something. See, then he isn't
fighting something back here.
Many people just taken the letter. "The letter killeth. The Spirit giveth life,"See,
see? And they take these creeds and so forth, still killeth. But when you are taking the Spirit, that's God, Himself. How do you know it's God? Because He's taking the Word and manifesting It. See?
Then it's God, Himself. Oh, my, spoken Word. See? Yes, sir. Oh, my.
*IF A MAN EVER IS PLANTED IN CHRIST, AND...?... THE LIFE
OF THE GRAPEVINE IS COMING THROUGH HIM ...
107 ...You're ever borned again, your whole
nature's fixed different. If a man
ever is planted in Christ, and...?... the Life of the grapevine is coming
through him, he'll
never bear pumpkins no more. You
might tie one on him, but he knows something's wrong, he'll lay there and groan
till it's taken off of him; it's too much weight for him, bows him down too close to the ground. He likes to grow up. Can't hang a pumpkin on a grapevine.
Notice. Oh, contending for the
faith... That was "earnestly" contending; not just contending, but
earnestly contending; between Life and death...
*IT'S THOSE GREAT CRUCIAL MOMENTS THAT THE--THE STRAIN IS
PUT UPON US THAT GOD MOVES IN, WHEN WE MAKE THE DECISION FOR HIM
BLIND.BARTIMAEUS_ BEAUMONT.TX
TUESDAY_ 61-0124
E-15It's those great crucial moments
that the--the strain is put upon us that God moves in, when we make the
decision for Him. That's between Life and death, that little sharp edge. Sometime at the last moment when you think you're not
going to be well, and
somebody's making fun of you, still
hold your testimony. It's that time that God moves in.
