Mar 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
*I THINK WE SHOULD BE THE
HAPPIEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD TO SEE THE LIVING GOD MOVING AROUND US LIKE THIS,
KNOWING THAT WE HAVE FORSAKEN ALL TO FOLLOW HIM.

E-63 Brother, if that ain't better than old creeds and stuff
of the world, and belonging to some another there that's denying all that...
Why, I think we should be the happiest people in
the world to see the living God moving around us like this, knowing that we
have forsaken all to follow Him. Amen. That makes me feel religious.
Forsaking all to follow the Lord Jesus. The same today, you got to forsake all.
Just like they did back there, you have to do too.
*HE BECAME WEAK THAT HE MIGHT
BE OUR STRENGTH.

E-70 He--He gave his strength. He
became weak that He might be our strength. He is our all-sufficient Strength. We
don't need no other strength but the strength of the Lord Jesus. "He is my Strength from day to day. Without Him I
would fall," said the poet. How wonderful.
What you forsake... What you receive for what you have forsook, my... Forsake the world. Forsake your own ideas. Forsake your doubts. Forsake your flusterations. Forsake it, and receive Him. Believe Him.
*... FORSAKEN HIS SONSHIP AND
BECAME SIN AND TOOK OUR SINS, THAT HE MIGHT TAKE SINNERS AND MAKE THEM SONS.

E-86 If the spirit of a--a gangster was in me, I'd have guns on me. If the spirit of a painter was in me, I could paint the picture of a painter... he could do. If the spirit of a mechanic was on me, I could tell you what was wrong with your car. See? And if the Spirit of Jesus Christ is in me, I'll do the works of Christ because it's the life of Christ in you. See? Manifested in who? Manifested in who? He be--forsaken His Sonship and became sin and took our sins, that He might take sinners and make them sons. He became me that I might become Him. He become a sinner that I might become a son of God. Oh, it--it's striking what He done. See, He taken your place that you might take His place. You're joint heirs with Him in the Kingdom. He become a sinner like you, your sins placed upon Him that He might take you and make you a fellow citizen of heaven and set you with Him in God's Kingdom. There you are: put His Spirit in you. And if His Spirit's in you, the works that He did you'll do also.
*NOW, WE FIND OUT THAT THEY
FORSOOK ALL, AND THEY FOLLOWED HIM, AND SAW THAT HE WAS THE MESSIAH.

E-90 Now, we find out that they forsook all, and they followed Him, and saw that He was the Messiah. Andrew went and told Peter, said, "You know what our father told us? (Something on this order, perhaps.) We know when Messiah cometh. Moses told us that the Lord our God would raise up a prophet just like him. And we know that we've been taught if there's one among us who is spiritual or a prophet, what he says comes to pass, then hear him. If it doesn't come to pass, then don't hear him. And we know that the Messiah will be the--not only a prophet. He will be the God-prophet. So this Man is that Guy."
* IF THEY COME THE DOOR,
THEY'D BE ROBED WITH THE SAME KIND OF A SPIRIT; THEY'D HAVE THE SAME KIND OF
LIFE; ...

E-42 He come up man's way. He come up some way, the church's
way. He come in some other way. See? But God has a Way provided. And that Way is Jesus. And
when you come by Jesus, you take on Jesus by a spiritual baptism. And you're dead and take on Christ by
the new birth. And you're borned again and filled with His Spirit. And how you
know? Because that your life would compare
with those of the Bible, those apostles who was robed in His righteousness. Then why can't people, who claim to be
Christians, believe in signs and wonders, Divine healing, the working of the
Holy Spirit? Why, they should do it. The thing of it is, they've come in some
other way besides the Door. If
they come the Door, they'd be robed with the same kind of a Spirit; they'd have
the same kind of life; they'd have the same kind of testimony. They would be the same people.
E-43 Now, you take, many times, people who climb some other way will have
that disgraceful name. Say,
"That's a bunch of holy-rollers." Did you know that's what the
apostles was called? Do you know, John the Baptist was declared a wild man? Did
you know Jesus Christ was declared by the Sanhedrin Council an insane Man?
"Now we know you're mad." "Mad" means "insanity."
You know all the apostles was declared insane?
But I like what Paul said, "In the way that's called heresy, so
worship I the God of our fathers." Oh, because he'd been robed in that
same righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
That's what it is today, friend. So many people are trying to get in, but they're not taking God's provided entrance. And if you go any other way besides Jesus Christ... And when the apostles come into Jesus Christ, when the early Church came into Jesus Christ, they received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It made them a different people. It made them act different, live different. Their whole--their whole life was motivated different. They had different motives. They had different objectives. Everything was different when they come into Christ.
* EVERYTHING'S DIFFERENT WHEN
YOU COME INTO CHRIST.

E-44 Everything's different when you come into Christ. It makes you forsake the world. It makes you forsake the things of the world. You'll turn off your TV any time to go to church on Wednesday night, if you've ever come in on Christ. When there's a prayer meeting, why, there's nothing can keep you away from that prayer meeting. When the love of God that's in your heart that was in Christ Jesus, will pull you to the church, and when you get there, and you get that overflowing joy, there's something will make you sing out with all that's in you the praises of God.
*AND IF A MAN REALLY GETS A
HOLD OF GOD, GOD GETS INTO THE MAN'S HEART...

E-20 ..... And if a man
really gets a hold of God, God gets into the man's heart, don't worry, sparks will be
flying from every side; because he's deep enough in
God, and his whole life is rooted and grounded in Christ. You see?
Therefore, we know
that it isn't just lazy preachers. It's because
that the--the convert doesn't go deep enough till he loses the sight of the
world and the things of the world. If he ever gets close enough to God,
he doesn't do that.
But we find out that the
churches change and the people changes. The roads changes; the scenes changes;
the politics changes. But there's one thing that does not change; that's God.
He remains the same. "I am God and I change not." No matter how long
it is, God has never changed one bit, and He cannot
change. What a place. The reason He cannot change is because God is infinite,
and anything that's infinite cannot change.

E-21 .....Infinite is infinity. There's--there's no beginning or no
end. He--He is almighty, omnipotent, omnipresent,
omniscient; knows all things, all places, all times, all powerful. He's God,
and He cannot change.
Now, I can make a decision, and say it's going to be this way. And I'm finite. I'll have to change, because things come up that I--I'll have to say, "Well, I was wrong." But God can't do that, because His one decision is that forever. He cannot change His decision. He cannot change it.
* HE KNOWS YOUR NEEDS. HE
KNOWS HOW TO BRING IT TO YOU.

E-37 ... They wanted a king to deliver
them. That's what they expected God to send to them, was a king to deliver
them, a mighty king that would march like David. The Son of David would rise
up, come down the corridors of heaven, walk down to the earth in a full Angel
salute, and the Father would look out of the heaven and say, "I'm sending
down to you now the Messiah." And they had it all fixed up that that's the
way He was supposed to come.
But what did they get?
They got a baby instead of a mighty king, a baby
borned in a--a little stable, the side of a hillside, a little cave stable with
straw, and the manure from the animals, and a baby. But it was a answer
of their prayer. He was exactly what they needed; but they wanted it in their
own way. They wanted it the way they--they thought was best. But God knows how to send it in the way that He knows is
best, because He's an infinite God, and He knows just how to send it.
E-38 He knows your
needs. He knows how to bring it to you. But the trouble of it is, because it don't come the way
you think it ought to come, then you're all discouraged, and you hand it back
to Him. Let's ask Him, and believe that He will
send it just the way He wants to send it, and accept it upon the basis. That's
right. See?
If you ask Him, don't make Him a liar. He can't lie. He promised, "Ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it." Now, God can't lie. Ask Him and it shall be done. "Seek, ye shall find; knock, it'll be opened." We believe that. Certainly we do.

E-39 They got a manger. So what did they do? Had this little Babe in a
manger, was that the mighty King? They refused Him. Yes, sir. Why? He didn't
come the way they expected Him to come. And friends, you might think that was a
horrible thing. It was. But you know, we're guilty of the same thing. We are
guilty of the same thing. We ask God for things, and then we walk around and...
And if He don't just pour something on us and give us something that we think
we ought to have, then we just hand it back. See? Don't do that. Ask Him. Stay
right with it. Yes, sir, hold on to it if you know it's real.
