25-0613A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-12 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)

2Pe 1:1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 1:5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2Pe 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2Pe 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

2Pe 1:8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe 1:9  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

2Pe 1:10  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

*PUT YOUR FUTURE IN HIS HAND. NO MATTER WHAT COMES OR GOES; TRUST HIM. HE IS THE WORD, NOW KNOW.

110      Now closely listen. Do as David did, put your future in His hand. "How? What am I to know what to do, Brother Branham?" Put your future in His hand. No matter what comes or goes; trust Him. He is the Word, now know. David said, "His time is in My hand. Trust in Him all the time. Always trust in Him." He knew Who held the future, David did, that's the reason he could say this. There is only One holds the future, that's God. So, He holds the--the future, let Him hold you. All right.

111      Some people says, "But, Brother Branham, I have tried and I have tried."

112    But wait a minute. Patience is virtue. Patience is Holy Spirit virtue. "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength."

*GOD HAS NOT PROMISED US EVERYTHING NICE, BUT GOD'S PROMISED GRACE TO ENDURE.

GOD.PROVIDED.A.LAMB_  INDIANAPOLIS.IN  THURSDAY_  56-0614

   E-27    …..God has not promised us everything nice, but God's promised grace to endure. God's not promised to take us home on a flower bed of ease. Look at the patience of Job and the disciples, and down through the age, how men and women has suffered for the cause of Christ. And here was Abraham sitting upon the barren grounds under his oak, his little tent; the flock being very poor, because Lot had taken the choice grounds. And he and Sarah was setting there, and one afternoon while Abraham looked out, yet holding onto God's promise...

*FAITH WAITS WITH PATIENCE FOR THE PROMISED WORD TO BE FULFILLED

  I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_  SHREVEPORT.LA  V-7 N-3  SATURDAY_  65-1127E

48    And, now, we find out his life and trials, and his great faith. Even Jesus, when He came on the earth, He referred to the patience of Job. He said, "Have you not read of the patience of Job?" Faith waits with patience for the promised Word to be fulfilled.

*BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT BRINGS YOU INTO OPERATION, OR IN CONTROL OF GOD, THAT YOU WALK IN PEACE AND IN LOVE AND IN JOY WITH LONGSUFFERING, GOODNESS, MEEKNESS, GENTLENESS, PATIENCE

WHAT.DOES.IT.TAKE.TO.MAKE.A.CHRISTIAN.LIFE_CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  57-0113

     E-35    The Holy Spirit will make every movement like Christ. It'll make you Christ-like. The fruits of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience, faith. Those things are what the Holy Spirit controls, our emotions.

    Our emotions is not so much as jumping up-and-down. You could do that. A shindig will bring that to you. But the Holy Spirit brings you into operation, or in control of God, that you walk in peace and in love and in joy with longsuffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. You see? It isn't something that you do. It's something the Holy Spirit does in you. You see, it's no longer an intellectual thought of your own; it's a subconscious moving of the Holy Spirit. Oh, I wish I could shout the praises of God around the world to that.

Isa 48:10  Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

2Co 1:3  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2Co 1:4  Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2Co 1:5  For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2Co 1:6  And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
2Co 1:7  And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb 12:3  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Heb 12:4  Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Heb 12:5  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
