25-0606A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-11 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)
2Pe 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
*"THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT MEAT AND
DRINK, OR WEARING OF APPAREL; BUT IT'S THE LONG-SUFFERING, GOODNESS,
GENTLENESS, PATIENCE, IN THE HOLY GHOST."
THE.TOKEN_ DALLAS.TX V-19 N-12 SUNDAY_ 64-0308
117 God, God's Blood-bound promises, makes us free from sin and shame, and different from the rest of the world. You don't have to dress different; anybody can dress different. You have to be, on the inside, different. The Life is on the inside; not dressing, wearing. "The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, or wearing of apparel; but it's the long-suffering, goodness, gentleness, patience, in the Holy Ghost."
*SUFFERING BRINGS PATIENCE, WORKS
TRIBULATIONS TO BRING PATIENCE, OF COURSE. NOW, PATIENCE MAKES LOVE, TRUST.
LOVE_ SHREVEPORT.LA THURSDAY_ 56-0726
E-47 No wonder Paul could stand in the face of death and say, "O death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory?" Sure. Through tribulations he had learned the love of God. Suffering brings patience, works tribulations to bring patience, of course. Now, patience makes love, trust.
*BUT
WHEN THESE VIRTUES GROW IN, AS YOU ADDED THAT TO THAT, THEN YOU ARE A LIVING
MONUMENT.
THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-18 SUNDAY_ 62-1014M
48-2 When a man possesses these kind of things, then the Holy Ghost comes upon him. No matter, you might speak with tongues; you might impersonate any gift that God's got. You might do that, but until these virtues here go into you, you're still off the real true foundation of faith. But when these virtues grow in, as you added that to that, then you are a living monument. You are a living, moving idol.
*OUR TRIALS WORKS PATIENCE, AND PATIENCE
WORKS HOPE, AND SO FORTH. SO WE JUST HOLD ON TO GOD.
THE.MESSIAH_ SHREVEPORT.LA TUESDAY_ 61-0117
E-9 …..Every son that cometh to God must be chastened and tried of God. So remember, our trials works patience, and patience works hope, and so forth. So we just hold on to God. Whether He blesses us or not, we are right there to believe Him anyhow, 'cause He's promised it. And to see how He does...
*PATIENCE IS VIRTUE. IF YOU CAN HAVE
PATIENCE, IT'S VIRTUE.
SHALOM_ SIERRA.VISTA.AZ V-13 N-5 SUNDAY_ 64-0112
146 Patience. Patience. Some of us get
so, some of us gets in such a hurry. I think a many a good man has done that. You
get in too--too much of a hurry. You want to, see, you want to do it yourself.
147 And minister brethren, you know
from when I'm talking, you that's listening to this tape. I'm talking to you, not
only to the little congregation here, but men around the world.
148 Many men go out, impatient; but believing that the time
is near, you try to do something within yourself. Wait
upon the Lord. Patience is virtue. If you can have patience, it's virtue.
It's virtue if you... "They that
wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." Not they that try to
get ahead of the Lord, they that try to tell the Lord, "Lord, I know You
want me to do this, and glory to God I..." Don't do that. Wait upon the
Lord. The Bible said, "They that wait
upon the Lord shall renew their strength."
149 God took thousands of years to fulfill His promise of a coming Saviour. But, remember, He knowed it all the time, when it was coming. There were many people rose up and tried to be messiahs. Many churches tried to produce messiahs. But God had the time set for His Messiah. He was in no hurry. See?
*PUT YOUR FUTURE IN HIS HAND. NO MATTER
WHAT COMES OR GOES; TRUST HIM. HE IS THE WORD, NOW KNOW.
SHALOM_ PHOENIX.AZ V-22 N-1 SUNDAY_ 64-0119
110 Now closely listen. Do as David
did, put your future in His hand. "How? What am I to know what to do,
Brother Branham?" Put your future in His hand. No matter what comes or
goes; trust Him. He is the Word, now know. David said, "His time is in My hand. Trust in Him all the time.
Always trust in Him." He knew Who held the future, David
did, that's the reason he could say this. There is only One holds the future,
that's God. So, He holds the--the future, let Him hold you.
All right.
111 Some people says, "But,
Brother Branham, I have tried and I have tried."
112 But wait a minute. Patience is virtue. Patience is Holy Spirit virtue. "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength."
*JUST
KEEP ON WAITING. WHEN YOU'VE DONE ALL YOU CAN DO TO STAND, THEN STAND, SEE,
JUST STAND.
SHALOM_ PHOENIX.AZ V-22 N-1 SUNDAY_ 64-0119
113 You say, "How can I wait
any longer?" Just keep on waiting. When you've done all you can do to
stand, then stand, see, just stand. "How am I going to do
it?" Stand! He said it's the Truth, and it's the Truth. He
said it'll happen. "How?" I don't know; but
it'll happen. He said so. He promised it. If He promised it, it's going to happen. That's
all. It can't waste.
114 So now just remember, God took thousands of years to fulfill His promise of a coming Saviour. Four thousand years, God took to fulfill that promise. But He knowed, from the beginning, just when it was going to happen. He knew; no one else did. He just said it would happen. And when it happened, the people was in such a delusion, till they didn't know how to accept it. If that same thing hasn't repeated again! It always does, never fails, both sides, always.
*THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD IS SUPERNATURAL.
LOVE, JOY, FAITH, LONG-SUFFERING, PATIENCE, MEEKNESS, SEE, ALL SUPERNATURAL.
JEHOVAH.JIREH.2_ LOUISVILLE.MS FRIDAY_ 64-0403
269 You don't prove things. You
believe God. See? You don't prove God, at all. You can't prove, to save your
life, there's a God, just going out here and say, "Let me see Him."
See, you got to believe Him.
270 The whole armor of God
is supernatural. Love, joy, faith, long-suffering, patience, meekness, see, all
supernatural. We look at things that you can't see
with your natural eye.
271 And Christ is here tonight. He promised it. "Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in the midst of them. There I am!" The "I" again, He is here. Now, "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever."
*AND THE TRUE BELIEVERS IN THIS WORD, WHO
ACCEPT IT THAT WAY, BELIEVE IT, AND WITH PATIENCE WAIT FOR ITS PROPHESIED
PROMISES, EVERY ONE OF THEM TO BE MANIFESTED IN ITS AGE.
EVENTS.MADE.CLEAR.BY.PROPHECY_ JEFF.IN V-12 N-3 SUNDAY_ 65-0801E
17 And the true believers in this Word, who accept It that way, believe It, and with patience wait for Its prophesied promises, every one of them to be manifested in its age. Every believer has watched for it. Every believer that's been on the toes, watching, is the one that's been revealed to.
*THEN
YOU BEGINNING TO FIND, AND YOUR PATIENCE GETS FROM ABOUT THAT LONG, TILL IT
JUST DON'T HAVE NO END.
IS.YOUR.LIFE.WORTHY.OF.THE.GOSPEL_ JEFF.IN V-5 N-5 SUNDAY_ 63-0630E
147
Then
you beginning to find, and your patience gets from about that long, till it
just don't have no end. Anybody just keeps saying things about
you, "Well, I don't care what you say!" Don't get stirred up. If you get stirred up,
you better go pray first, 'fore you talk to them again. Yeah.
Yeah.
Don't get in fusses. Don't like
to get in fuss; if you like to see somebody raise up in church, say, "You
know what? I'll tell you, So-and-so did so-and-so."
You say, "Now, brother,
shame on you."
148 If you say, "Oh, is that
so?" Listen to that scandal? Watch out.
The Holy Spirit is not a cesspool. See? No, no. No, no. The heart is occupied by the Holy Spirit, is full of holiness, purity. "Thinketh no evil, doeth no evil; believeth all things; endureth, long-suffering." See?
*BEFORE OUR FATHER'S THRONE, WE POUR OUR
MUTUAL PRAYERS; (THAT'S RIGHT.) OUR FEARS, OUR HOPES, OUR AIMS ARE ONE, OUR
COMFORTS AND OUR CARES."
BE.NOT.AFRAID.IT.IS.I_ BEAUMONT.TX MONDAY_ 61-0123
E-40 But oh, brethren, don't never
let that evil thing come on you men. No, sir, brother. Stick together like
molasses on a cold morning; just really, really cling together, be thick. That's
right. For... Yeah. "Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian
love; the fellowship of kindred mind is like to that above. Before our Father's
throne, we pour our mutual prayers; (That's right.) our fears, our hopes,
our aims are one, our comforts and our cares." That's
right. That's the way we should be (Yes,
certainly.), not greedy, selfish, indifferent, ungodly. The
fruits of
the Spirit is love, joy, longsuffering, meekness, gentleness, faith, patience. That's it; that's the fruit of
the Spirit.
You know a tree--if a tree's got sycamore bark on it and apples growing on it, what is it? It's a apple tree. The life in the tree produces apples. No matter what your theology is, right or wrong, if you're bearing the wrong kind of fruits you're the wrong kind of tree, brother. Jesus said, "By their fruit you shall know them," not by their tree, but by their fruit. That's right. True.
*BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT BRINGS YOU INTO
OPERATION, OR IN CONTROL OF GOD, THAT YOU WALK IN PEACE AND IN LOVE AND IN JOY
WITH LONGSUFFERING, GOODNESS, MEEKNESS, GENTLENESS, PATIENCE.
WHAT.DOES.IT.TAKE.TO.MAKE.A.CHRISTIAN.LIFE_ CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_ 57-0113
E-35 The Holy Spirit will make every
movement like Christ. It'll make you Christ-like. The fruits of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience,
faith. Those things are what the Holy Spirit controls, our emotions.
Our emotions is not so much as
jumping up-and-down. You could do that. A shindig will bring that to you. But the Holy Spirit
brings you into operation, or in control of God, that you walk in peace and in
love and in joy with longsuffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. You
see? It isn't something that you do. It's something the Holy Spirit does in you. You
see, it's no longer an intellectual thought of your own; it's a subconscious
moving of the Holy Spirit. Oh, I wish I could shout the praises of
God around the world to that.
