25-0630P_THERE IS A LIGHT IN THE EVENING TIME

25-0630P_THERE IS A LIGHT IN THE EVENING TIME

Zec 14:6  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

Zec 14:7  But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Mal 4:5  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Mal 4:6  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Rev 10:7  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

*THE END-TIME MESSAGE SHOULD MEET END-TIME CONDITIONS.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

189      Here we are, end time! Red light down, flashing! Coming of the Lord is at hand. Yes, sir. Listen! The end-time Message should meet end-time conditions. Where they've got off, the Message ought to bring it back. Always, end-time Message meets end-time conditions. All the way through the Scripture. It'll have to do it this time, a call back to the original Word. Oh, my! Like other messengers did in the day, this Message will have to be the same. We are promised that! God promised it in His Word! Malachi 4, said it would happen, "And restore the Faith of the children back to the fathers." Promised it, and we're living in that day!

190    Oh, it's been always, each time, a group of leaders that gets the people all mixed up. It's not so much the people; it's the leaders that get them mixed up. Now let's...

You say, "Oh, Brother Branham!"

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

191      Well, now, just a minute now, we got to make this Scriptural. If it isn't Scripture, then it is no good. By their words of wisdom, in their uninspired leadership, words of worldly wisdom, they... Why, there's some of those genius can set that together, but you think that Satan isn't a genius at it, too? Did not he, well, approach Jesus Christ and give Him a reason, and even quoted the Scripture to Him? He did it! He's a genius at it. But Jesus never argued with him, He said, "It is written, also! Get thee behind Me, Satan." Yes, uninspired leadership.

*DON'T CUT YOUR ANCHOR FROM CALVARY.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

192      Look at Korah, in the days when God sent Moses with the message, and Korah and Dathan thought, come up to Moses, and said, "Now, just a minute, you take too much on yourself! You think you're the only pebble on the beach; the duck in the puddle, you're the only one. I'll let you know there's other people are holy, too!" Moses didn't say they wasn't holy. But he had a commission, he had to carry it out. And they organized a group and was coming against Moses.

193    And God told him, "Go stand yonder in the door." Those man had the censer in their hand, and you know what that censer would a-done. God opened up the earth and swallowed them up. And they had fire from the altar, in it. With the fire in the censer, as fundamental as it was, they failed to recognize the message.

194    God said, "I send you, Moses, down there to do this. You bring them over here."

195    See, they failed to recognize it. Moses was "too straight" with them. Like Elijah was, to the School of the Prophets, "too straight," stayed with the Word.

196    That's what's you Pentecostal people, had to separate yourself from the rest of the world, straight with the Word. Now don't fade back into the very thing that you come out of, you're drifting! Don't cut your anchor from Calvary. Hold on to God's Word, for "Upon this rock I'll build My Church," stay with It.

*THE CHURCH OF GOD DWELLS WITHIN THE WALLS, NOT THE NAME, SO FORTH.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

202      Now listen, I hope I'm not critical. When you're making a Truth, don't--don't feel I'm criticizing. I'm just trying to... I--I love... And if you don't... I--I'm zealous of the Church. This, they probably is Assembly of God church, or whatever it is, or--or I--I don't know what it is. What... Don't make any difference to me. It's a church of God. That's what it is, I believe, is a church of God. Well, now, we all ought to be that, not the denomination church of God, but we got to be Christians in heart. The Church of God dwells within the walls, not the name, so forth.

*CHURCH OF GOD IS A LIVING ARTICLE OF GOD ON EARTH, MANIFESTING JESUS CHRIST.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

207      That's what's the matter today, it's membership. Yes. [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]... members, big membership, big Sunday school classes, pay prizes for somebody that can proselyte and bring somebody else from some other church over, see who had the most. You know, that's Phariseeism! And then make a big brag about it, "We beat them last Sunday." If you've got to a place where you have to make the church of God a rat race, then it's time to close the doors and go home.

208    Church of God is a living article of God on earth, manifesting Jesus Christ. I know It's not popular, you can't expect to be. We expect to be right.

*GOD HAS ALWAYS COUNTED CHARACTER, NOT MEMBERS.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

243      God has always counted character, not members. And today we do vice versa. We count members, good dress, well payers, instead of character. Uh-huh.

244    Eliezer sweated it out, until he found character. That's right. Who would he get? And he trusted God. Character for what? Character for Isaac, the bride, which the Church is type of. You know that. That was the natural seed of Abraham; this is the royal Seed of Abraham. Well, if Eliezer, the messenger hunting the bride and trying to find character, if that man is come, a messenger of the last day, trying to find the Bride for Christ, he will not look for a denominational membership. He will look for character that's willing.

245    Watch! Good character first, then to get her ready to meet Isaac. After he found the character, then get her stand still long enough to listen to his message of Isaac.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

246      That's the messenger of the last days, the evening Light, is first find that Church (where will they believe the Message?), hunt it. Can you read what I'm talking about? Hunt where that Church is that'll even let you come in, that won't close the door in your face. And then when you do there, then you've found character. Now if she will stand still long enough to tell her how that Bride's got to be dressed! She's got to be clothed. Stand still! If she could get...

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

247      Look at the little Rebekah listening to every word, her little heart was beating. She... He--he was telling her. Now, you've sweated it out, "Where will I go?" until I find the character. Then when I find the character, then make her stand still long enough to get her ready to go to meet him. Oh, my, what a striking thing! (Wish we had a little more time on that clock.) Get her ready; stand still to listen to his message of him. Eliezer wasn't speaking of hisself, but he was speaking of the one he was sent from. And he had the gifts to prove that he was sent from him. Amen! He wanted to clothe her with these things. You know how he fixed her up.

248    If I could just get her to wash her face! See? You know, I--I just felt checked on that, so I better keep still. Anyhow, I've said enough, you know what I'm talking about. Now, listen, just stand still.

*NOTICE, THE END-TIME MESSENGER, HIS JOB WILL BE TO GET THE SAINTS READY, THE BRIDE READY FOR THE BRIDEGROOM. THAT WILL BE HIS MESSAGE.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

249      Notice, the end-time messenger, his job will be to get the saints ready, the Bride ready for the Bridegroom. That will be his Message. Now you want to learn ABC's so you can study algebra later? When these other seals on the back is opened they'll only be revealed to them. That's right. Learn ABC first. What is ABC? "Always Believe Christ," (not your creed), Christ. See? Believe what He says, not what somebody else says.

250    If it's contrary, if a man tells you "It's all right for you to cut your hair, women," you know he's lying. The Bible says it's wrong. If he says "You can be deacon and still have four or five wives," he's lying. That's contrary to the Word. See? All these other things that we speak of, call it to the Word and see if it's the Word right.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

251      Bring back the church to the Word. Now, what is this messenger of Malachi 4 to do? Restore back the original Faith, the resurrection Faith. That, they seen Jesus after He had raised from the dead, seen Him working among them.

252    They were men of few words. They went forth and preached the Word. Oh, they preached long, Paul preached all night one time. See? A man fell out of the building, killed himself. He laid his body over him, brought him back to life again, see. See? See, kept on preaching.

*HOW YOU GOING TO KNOW WHETHER IT'S EVENING LIGHT OR NOT? TEST IT WITH THE WORD

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

253      Now, notice they were different man than what the Ph., L.L., Q.U.S.T., and ever what you want to call it, is today. What? Separates the messenger and... The Message, rather, by the messenger, will separate the believers from unbelievers. Some of them will line to It, and some won't. Some of the Lutheran... Some of the Catholic lined to Luther, some didn't. Some of the Lutherans lined to Methodist, some didn't. Some lines to Pentecost, and some won't. Some will line with the evening Light, some won't.

254    How you going to know whether it's evening Light or not? Test it with the Word (not just one Word, all the Word put together), see whether it's right or not. Oh, what is it in? Then if this message bears forth the vindication of God performing what He said He would do, and it's lined with the Word, then the Word is vindicated like other times and other prophetics did.

*WHEN THE MESSAGE IS REJECTED AND THE MESSENGER SEEMS TO BE DEFEATED, THAT'S WHEN GOD STEPS ON THE SCENE, HIS MESSAGE IS OVER.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

260      Notice when the Message is rejected and the messenger seems to be defeated, that's when God steps on the scene, his Message is over.

261    Noah, (closing now), Noah preached in the door of his ark for a hundred and twenty years, till, when finally they laughed him to scorn, Noah stepped in the ark thinking that the... it would just be all right. God closed the door. And the people hung around to see what was going to happen. Seven days he set there and sweated it out, and on the seventh day the rain come. Uh-huh.

262    Moses, what was he in? The very line of duty, leading the people. The Red Sea got in his way. He was at the end of his road. It was then that God came with the East wind and parted the sea, at the end of the road.

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

263      It was Daniel, standing on his message, "I'll not defile myself with this king's world." Standing true to God, was right down at the end of his road, seemed like the end of his time had come, they throwed him in the lions' den. God stepped on the scene.

264    And one morning, way down in Babylon... Amen! I can look up at Heaven, I can see a--a Throne, Angels standing around. Look down here in Babylon, I can see a--a burning furnace. I can see three children standing there, saying, "Our God is able to deliver us." See? "But we're not bowing to your image, because it's contrary to the Word." See? "We're standing here."

THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_  MESA.AZ  V-8 N-5  WEDNESDAY_  63-0116

265      "All right," said the king, "walk up the steps, you're going to be burned." Great husky man, on the end of this spear, here they come up the steps, step by step, hotter and hotter.

266    I can see an Angel standing on the on the side of the Throne, grabbed a sword and pulled it out, said, "Father, look down there, what's going on! Let me go down, I'm Gabriel, I'll change the scene."

267    "Put your sword back in the sheath, Gabriel. I've watched it."

268    Here comes another up, said, "Father, I'm Wormwood, I'm the destroyer with the water. In the antediluvian time, man sinned and mistreated Your people, and I--I turned the whole world into a globe of water. I'll wash Babylon off the map this morning. Let me go."

269    "I know you could, Wormwood, you're a faithful Angel. See? But, I can't let you go, this is My job. I'm going, Myself."

"Here, you seen them?"

270    "I've watched them all night. I heard their prayer meeting. I seen their stand for My Word. I'll be there on time." Oh, my! I can see Him raise up and His kingly garments fall around Him, like that, and say, "Come here, East wind, North, South, West. Step over under that thunderhead yonder, I'm going to ride you as a chariot this morning. I'm going down into Babylon, I'm going to change the scene." Oh, brother, He was right there on time!

271    His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me. He's still watching tonight, watching me, He's watching you. He's watched whether we'll stand or not stand, what decisions we will make, whether we'll stand true to the Word or get away from It. It's later than you think.

25-0627A_GOD'S ADMONITION TO ALL MEN

25-0627A_GOD'S ADMONITION TO ALL MEN

2Pe 1:1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Isa 38:1  In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
Isa 38:2  Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,
Isa 38:3  And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
Isa 38:4  Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
Isa 38:5  Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

1Th 5:1  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
1Th 5:2  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1Th 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
1Th 5:4  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1Th 5:5  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1Th 5:6  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1Th 5:7  For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1Th 5:8  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1Th 5:9  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Th 5:10  Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Luk 17:27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luk 17:29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

*GOD NEVER BRINGS ANY MAN TO HIS DEATH WITHOUT FIRST WARNING HIM ABOUT IT…

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

29    Now, everyone has this. We might say, "Well, this fellow died without a warning." No, no, no. God never... You don't know what was in that man's heart, you don't know what's been a-going on in his life. See? God never brings any man to his death without first warning him about it, telling him, it's something, a preparation. God is--is sovereign, and He--He knocks at the heart of every man, giving him the opportunity to come. Now, He might warn away and turn It down, and--and shake his head to It and walk away, say, "Ah, it's just a funny feeling, I'll get over it." But, anyhow, it was God, God speaking to him.

*HIS PROGRAM CAN NEVER CHANGE FROM WHAT HE STARTED WITH, BECAUSE HE'S INFINITE AND HIS PROGRAM AND HIS IDEAS ARE ALL PERFECT.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

30      And God never even brings judgment upon the earth without first giving the people a warning. God never does nothing without declaring it first what He's going to do. And He gives people a choice, and you can you can do right or wrong. That's His... See, God can never change His--His nature. His program can never change from what He started with, because He's infinite and His program and His ideas are all perfect. So, if He would change It, that would show that He had learned more. So, being infinite, He cannot learn more. His--His first--His first decision is always perfect, and there's nothing can ever change It. See?

31    God, before man ever was put... had a chance to do wrong, God put him on the basis to where he could accept or deny, he could receive or--or not.

*WE ARE RESPONSIBLE, AND GOD HAS PUT US HERE ON THE EARTH FOR A REASON, AND THAT REASON THAT HE HAS PUT US HERE FOR…

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

34      And now, we find out that His Nature was, here, to always to warn a man before judgment, to warn a nation before judgment, and so forth. He always gives His warning, a reminder to we, of a responsibility. We are responsible, and God has put us here on the earth for a reason, and that reason that He has put us here for, we are responsible to Him for that reason. You should go to Him and find out what He wants you to do. See? If you don't...

35    If you went to work for a man, and he give you a job on a ranch, or something another, and you just went out to the barn and just set down out there, and say, "Well?" See, you must go ask him what he wants you to do, and then do it. If you're working for a man, find out what your duties is.

*WHATEVER GOD WANTS YOU TO DO, THEN YOU DO THAT THE VERY BEST THAT YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

36    And then if our life is on the--the earth here, then we should go to the One Who put us here, and, "Lord, what would You have me do? What--what--what must I do? Why am I here?" If it's to be a housewife, dishwasher, if it's to be... Whatever God wants you to do, then you do that the very best that you know how to do it. No matter how little, no matter how little it is, you must do it.

37    You say, "Well..." The trouble of it, is, each one of us wants to do the next man's job. We all want to pack the ball, as we say, you see.

*AND IF YOU'RE JUST A LITTLE HAIR SPRING, MAIN SPRING, OR WHATEVER YOU ARE, YOU DO THE VERY BEST JOB YOU CAN AT THAT.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

38      Like this watch here, now, every little movement in there has its place. Now, every part of it can't be the hands. Now, I only look at the hands to see what time it is. But if one of them little wheels in there gets out of order, that won't keep the right time.

39    And that's the way it is with people. We've all, the Body of Christ, has got to be in their position, in harmony. See? And then we can look around and see what time of day it is. See? Then the world's a-looking to see what it is. See? See? But they're watching you. And if you're just a little hair spring, main spring, or whatever you are, you do the very best job you can at that.

*EVERY MAN THAT COME ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH HAS TO ANSWER TO GOD FOR A RESPONSIBILITY.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

40      Now, because, we have a responsibility that we've got to answer to God someday for. Every man that come on the face of the earth has to answer to God for a responsibility. And, to many of us, a stewardship, we have to answer for. We... This responsibility is a stewardship that's been committed to us by God, I don't care what it is. As I said a few moments ago, "a housewife," then be a genuine housewife. That's right. If it's to be a farmer, be a genuine farmer. Whatever it is that God has put you to do, you got a stewardship to that, you've got to answer to God for, because it takes all these things to do it.

*WHAT A TESTIMONY THAT IS TO--TO--TO US TODAY, AND IT SHOULD BE, A MAN THAT WALKS BEFORE GOD.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

41      Hezekiah was told to make ready and to get ready because that he had to meet his Maker. Now, Hezekiah was a king, and a--a great man. Did you notice his plea here? "Lord, I beseech You to consider me. I--I've walked before You with a perfect heart." What a testimony that is to--to--to us today, and it should be, a man that walks before God.

42    Even death was pronounced upon the man and yet God changed His mind about him, because Hezekiah wanted to do something and God said He "would give us the desires of our heart." And Hezekiah's time had come, and he--he got a cancer on him, or something another, and--and they called it "a boil" in that day, but we know boils don't regularly kill you, they just get well. But it was perhaps a cancer, and it opened up like a boil. And--and God told Isaiah, said, "Go up there and tell him that he's going to die." And Hezekiah had something he wanted to do yet. He had--he had...

*THE WORLD TODAY IS JUST LIKE HEZEKIAH WAS THEN, IT'S BEEN WARNED. IT'S CONSTANTLY BEING WARNED. THE CHURCH IS BEING WARNED.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

46      The--the world today is just like Hezekiah was then, it's been warned. It's constantly being warned. The church is being warned. And, now, these things just don't happen by a--by a chance. They've all got something behind them.

47    Now, Hezekiah, being sick, having this boil, it wasn't by chance. God sent Isaiah up there and told him to set his house in order now because he was going to die. And Hezekiah wept, and told God, "I've walked before You with a perfect heart and I--I pray You spare my life for a cause, a good cause, the cause of God."

*AND THEN WE FEEL THAT WE HAVE A RIGHT TO ASK SOMETHING IF--IF OUR OBJECTIVE IS RIGHT, AND THEN OUR MOTIVE TO IT.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

48      Now isn't that strange? Hezekiah was the greatest man in the land. See? Hezekiah was a king, and a godly man. He was a real man, if he could plead that before God and God didn't rebuke him for it, "I've walked before You with a perfect heart." Now that's a-saying a whole lot. See?

49    And God never said, "No, Hezekiah, you didn't do it," but He admitted he did do it. And He said, "I'm going to I'm going to spare your life a little longer." See? "I'm going to give you your request," see, because he had been a just man, he had been a--a real servant to Christ.

50      And then we feel that we have a right to ask something if--if our objective is right, and then our motive to it.

*AND HE MADE THE PEOPLE READY FOR THE TIME. NOAH MADE THE PEOPLE READY, AND IT WAS A CALL OF MERCY BEFORE JUDGMENT.

GOD.DOESN'T.CALL.MAN.TO.JUDGMENT.WITHOUT.FIRST.WARNING.HIM_  JEFF.IN  V-8 N-3  WEDNESDAY_  63-0724

63      Now, God giving warning, "Prepare for a judgment." The atomic bombs are in the hangars, everything setting ready. And God, before He can let this thing happen, He makes a call down through, like He did in Sodom, "Come out of it. Get ready. There is something going to happen."

64    Like in the days of Noah, before God sent the waters to destroy the world in the great antediluvian world that had come off into sin, as Jesus clearly said that it was a day just like this. "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man." How that the women on the rampage, and--and marrying and giving in marriage, and--and the great scientific achievements, and the smart educated going into the intellectual side, and the little humble Flock sitting off to one side waiting the pending judgment and the escape. And before God sent that judgment, He sent a prophet.

65    Just like He did to Hezekiah, He said, "Get ready, for the judgments are ready to fall."

66    And he made the people ready for the time. Noah made the people ready, and it was a call of mercy before judgment.

THE FINAL ADMONITION TO THE AGE

PHILADELPHIAN.CHURCH.AGE

Revelation 3:13,

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches."

Every age ends with this same warning. It is the constant plea that the churches listen to the voice of the Lord. In this age the plea is even more insistent than in former ages, for in this age the coming of the Lord truly draweth nigh. The question would perhaps arise, "If there is another age beyond this one, why the urgency?" The answer lies herein. The last age will be a short one--a quick work of consummation. And not only is this so, but one must always remember that in the eyes of God time is so very fleeting; yea, a thousand years are but a day. And if He is coming within a few hours as He views time, then He surely must warn us with all urgency and His voice must continually sound in our hearts to be ready against that coming.

Oh, there are so many voices in the world--so many problems and needs crying for attention; but there will never be a voice so important and so worth attending as the voice of the Spirit. So, "He that hath an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches."

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2Pe 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2Pe 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

2Pe 3:17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

2Pe 3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

(HE CARES FOR YOU)

Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Joh 14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Joh 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Joh 14:18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Joh 14:19  Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Joh 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Joh 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

1Pe 5:5  Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1Pe 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

*NO MATTER HOW LITTLE YOU ARE, HOW INSIGNIFICANT YOU ARE, HOW POOR, HOW INDIFFERENT, HOW MANY TIMES YOU'VE TRIED AND FAILED, HE STILL CARES.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

113    Now, the question is for us tonight, do you care? He cares. But now do you care? If you do not care, then He can't help you. But if you care enough, or care enough about yourself... I've heard people make this insane remark, "I don't care what becomes of me." Oh, my. I sure care what becomes of me. Sure, I do. I care. And I believe any person in their right mind cares. I want to know what's going to happen to me. And if I know He loved me, there no one else could love like that. He cares for you. He cares for you. No matter how little you are, how insignificant you are, how poor, how indifferent, how many times you've tried and failed, He still cares. His love still knocks at your heart's door. But are we ungrateful for that? In a day here where...

*AND THERE'S NO OTHER FOUNDATION; THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THAT YOU CAN... AND NOTHING ELSE CAN CARE NOW BUT JESUS, AND HE DOES CARE.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

114    I've just told you. I hope it didn't go over your head. I hope it just didn't pass through lightly, but you remember these words, that everything's at the end. Civilization's at the end. Democracy's at the end. Everything... This nation is honeycombed, just any time to blow to pieces. Oh. Other nations, the world's at the end. For every mortal thing must die, that immortality can take its place. We've got to come to this place. We're here. We're at the end. And there's no other foundation; there's nothing else that you can... And nothing else can care now but Jesus, and He does care.

Don't you care enough to submit your life to Him, to love Him, to go to the streets, to go to your boss, to your neighbor, to everywhere with a sweet, gentle spirit... Separate yourselves from the things of the world and live such a peaceable, sweet life, that others will see Jesus in you. Don't you feel that you owe that to Him? Let's not be ungrateful.

*YOU'RE SAFE AS LONG AS YOU'RE IN THE REFUGE. YOU REMEMBER, HE DIED FOR YOU. HE CARES YOU.

LETTING.OFF.THE.PRESSURE_  JEFF.IN  V-5 N-11  SUNDAY_  62-0513E

101    …..Christ promised that He'd take all your cares. Cast your cares on Him. So what are you worrying about? Worry builds up pressure; pressure blows up. So just cast your cares on Him and quit worrying. All right.

104    Now... "Well," you say, "how do I do it?" Just trust His promise. He made a promise that He would do it. Even in the time of death when the death angel comes into the room... "Oh, Brother Branham, I know I'll be nervous." Oh, no. You're in the Refuge. No, no. You know you're going to die; you've got to go some way, so just get into the Refuge; feel safe. That's right. You're safe as long as you're in the refuge. You remember, He died for you. He cares you. He died for you.

*TRUST IN HIS WORD, HIS PROMISES. EVERY PROMISE THAT HE MADE BELONGS TO YOU AS LONG AS YOU'RE IN HIS KINGDOM.

LETTING.OFF.THE.PRESSURE_  GREEN.LAKE.WI  FRIDAY_  62-0518

E-43    Notice, now, God's safety zone, God's place of safety. And when we are in here, in this refuge, we have a--a right to the healing power of God. If God will forgive His enemy and take him into the refuge, how much more will He take care of him after He's got him in there. See? There's healing power. So when the Christians get sick, there's no need of being all steamed up about it. Just remember, "By His stripes we are healed." That's the promise. He promised it, so He just can't take it back.

It's a place of refuge for our sickness, for our worries. "Cast all your cares upon Him; for He cares for you." It's a refuge. Trust in His Word, His promises. Every promise that He made belongs to you as long as you're in His Kingdom. As long as you come to Him for refuge, then you have a right to every promise that He made. Every Christian in here, or anywhere else, has a right to anything that Christ died for. And when you're in Christ you possess the whole thing. It's all yours. That's exactly right.

*BUT WHEN YOU TURN IT LOOSE AND LET HIM HAVE IT, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU. YES, SIR….WHAT A PERFECT CALMNESS THE CHRISTIAN OUGHT TO HAVE.

LETTING.OFF.THE.PRESSURE_  S.PINES.NC  SATURDAY_  62-0609E

E-28    Now, we don't have to hurry, and scuffle, and act like the rest of the world. Quieten down. What's the matter with the Christian? The spirit of the world today is neurotic. But that's not the Spirit of Christ. Did you ever see Him get excited about something? Just as calm as He could be. He knowed exactly where He was standing.

Oh, what a blessed assurance is. Just like a baby, to lay your trust upon Him, and let Him take all your cares; for He cares for you. Don't try to do anything about it. He will do it already. He's promised He would do it. It's His business. As long as you're fooling with it, well, then, He can't have it. But when you turn it loose and let Him have it, He will take care of it for you. Yes, sir. Oh, I like that. What a perfect calmness the Christian ought to have.

*CAST YOUR CARES UPON HIM. IT'S WROTE ON EVERY WALL, ALL THE WAY AROUND, EVERY DOOR…TRUST IN HIS PROMISED WORD. HIS WORDS ARE WRITTEN ON OUR HEART.

LETTING.OFF.THE.PRESSURE_  S.PINES.NC  SATURDAY_  62-0609E

99      I'm inside of a Tower. I don't have no desires to even look out. "He that puts his hands to the plow, and even turns to look back, is not worthy of the plowing." What a place to come! Yes. Outside you die; inside you're safe. Just come in and let off the pressure. That's the thing to do. And Christ is our Tower, yes, God's provided place of safety. Joshua built those houses and those cities of refuge, and God built us a city of refuge, that's in His Son, Christ Jesus. "The Name of the Lord is the mighty Tower. The righteous run into it and are safe."

Now you say, "What if you get sick in there?"

100    He bore our sickness, in this Tower that we're in. He bore our sickness, in His body. We have...

101    "Well," you say, "what if you get weary when you're in there, all cares and things?"

102    Cast your cares upon Him. It's wrote on every wall, all the way around, every door. "Cast your cares upon Him, because He cares for you."

103    Trust in His promised Word. His Words are written on our heart. Our hearts are the tables of His Word, like Martha and Mary, and all along. See?

*CAST OUR CARES ON HIM, FOR HE CARETH FOR YOU. HE'S THE COMFORTER.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

142    Let's be a real Christian. Let this church be on fire, prayer meetings going all the time, meetings through the city, everywhere; workers, not have to be told, but willingly working all the time for the Kingdom of God. Let other churches that's represented here, may the members thereof return to their church, with that experience. Cast our cares on Him, for He careth for you. He's the Comforter.

Psa 37:16  A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
Psa 37:17  For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
Psa 37:18  The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
Psa 37:19  They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psa 37:20  But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
Psa 37:21  The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
Psa 37:22  For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
Psa 37:23  The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Psa 37:24  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psa 37:25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26  He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
