24-1216P_LONGING FOR GOD PT-4
Jer 29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jas 5:1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
Jas 5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
Jas 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Jas 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
Psa 42:1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Psa 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Psa 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
Psa 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Psa 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
Psa 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Psa 42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
Psa 42:9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Psa 84:1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
Psa 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
*AND YOU KNOW WHY YOU LOVE THE WORD? YOU
HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU.
THE.WAY.TO.HAVE.FELLOWSHIP_ CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_ 55-1009
E-16 …..I love the Word, don't you? And you know why you love the Word? You have the Holy Spirit in you. For the Bible said that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. So the Holy Spirit feeds on the Word. And then when you hear the Word... Everyone wants to hear It, no matter... Every little piece of literature they can pick up, they--they read it. And they listen to the radio, and they go to church and so forth, because they are longing for that fellowship around the Word.THE.WAY.TO.HAVE.FELLOWSHIP_ CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_ 55-1009
E-17 And may God help us tonight to realize how we can have a perfect fellowship. No matter where storms come, whether you're right or wrong, you can still have fellowship. And only way you can have fellowship, as your love perfects. Don't never forget me. If I don't see some of you no more, remember this: That my theme is "love covers it all." I believe in the redeeming love of the Lord Jesus. I like this song.THIRST_ TUCSON.AZ V-16 N-6 SUNDAY_ 65-0919
140 Well, you see, that won't do it. There is nothing will satisfy it. I
don't care, you can drink cokes, you can drink anything you want to, with them
sweetened by carbonated waters, and so forth, there is
nothing that will satisfy the thirst like a good cool, cold stream of water. That'll
quench that thirst. All these other things are substitutes.
*UNTIL IT FILLS EVERY FIBER, UNTIL THE HOLY SPIRIT ITSELF BUBBLING IN YOU;
THIRST_ TUCSON.AZ V-16 N-6 SUNDAY_ 65-0919
141 And why would we want to take a substitute, when there is a genuine baptism of the Holy Ghost that satisfies every fiber and longing in the human soul? Then stand right in the face of death, like the great Apostle Paul said, "O death, where is your sting? And, grave, where is your victory? But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!"That's the experience, brother, that satisfies that holy hush that... or that holy thirst that's in you. It satisfies it. You don't have to do anything else about it. Yeah, It cleanses the lips.*UNTIL IT FILLS EVERY FIBER, UNTIL THE HOLY SPIRIT ITSELF BUBBLING IN YOU;
THIRST_ TUCSON.AZ V-16 N-6 SUNDAY_ 65-0919
143 Let me tell you something. When you're worshiping God, in the Spirit and in Truth, when it becomes a custom for you to do it, because you think you ought to do it; because you think, if you don't shout, or jump up-and-down, or dance with the music, your neighbor is going to think you're backslid; you are drinking from a stagnated stream. Right!*WHEN YOU GET TO HUNGERING FOR GOD LIKE THAT, SOMETHING IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE.
THIRST_ TUCSON.AZ V-16 N-6 SUNDAY_ 65-0919
146 "My soul thirsts for the living God, like the hart panting for the water brook. Unless I can find It, I'll perish." When you get to hungering for God like that, something is going to take place. The Holy Spirit is to lead you to those great fountains of God. Yes, sir.SHOW.US.THE.FATHER.AND.IT.SUFFICES_ CLEVELAND.OH SATURDAY_ 50-0819
E-24 Everybody wanted to find God down through the age. Job of old, he said, "Oh, if I only knew where He was." In his trouble setting there on the ash heap scraping his boils... God dealing with a saint in this case... There he was setting there scraping his boils. Some of his church friends come to him, set with their backs turned to him, not much consolation. But Job wanted to know, "Oh, if I only knew where His house was. (In other words.) If I'd go knock on His door, He'd come out and talk to me." That's what he wanted to do.REVELATION.CHAPTER.FOUR.2_ JEFF.IN ROJC 585-643 SUNDAY_ 61-0101
109 When the Holy Spirit does something to you, you just can't set still; there's something bubbles over. Amen. Whew. Yeah, something takes ahold, a fiend for Christ. When you love the Lord, just something in you reaching out, grabbing, hungering and thirsting, Jesus said, "Blessed are they, for they shall be filled." Blessed are they to even thirst, whether you've got it or not. How many wants more of God? All right. Well, the reason that you want more of God, you're blessed just to be that. If you haven't got it, you're still blessed. "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst." You're blessed just to hunger and thirst. Because you want it, you're blessed. 'Cause there's many people don't want it.LET.YOUR.LIGHT.SO.SHINE.BEFORE.MEN_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 61-0903
E-55 See? It never got away from him, because he seen Christ reflected. How did Stephen do it? He never performed any miracles, although he knowed that Christ was a miracle performer. He knowed all these powers and things. But what did he do? He just presented his life in such a way, that they seen that it was the power of Christ. Amen.LET.YOUR.LIGHT.SO.SHINE.BEFORE.MEN_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 61-0903
E-56 You're the salt of the earth. "If the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted?" That's right, hungering and thirsting...A.PARADOX_ CHICAGO.IL V-21 N-3 THURSDAY_ 63-0801
102 What does that routine mean: break it off, grow it out; break it off, grow it out; feed, grow it out? That means He is the same yesterday, today, forever. He is the same God that was. He is still the Bread of Life to any man that's hungering and thirsting. You can't exhaust His goodness.103 They say, "We have no need for miracles, no need for paradox,"
A.PARADOX_ CHICAGO.IL V-21 N-3 THURSDAY_ 63-0801
104 He is waiting. That's His program. That's what He is. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is waiting for you to reach up and take your portion. Are you scared to do it? Would you rather go down to the river and fish you out a fish, and try to cook it and fry it in some kind of a hog lard or something, or will you rather take it the way God has it? Just reach up by faith, and say, "Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever! I claim, Lord, I believe in You. Place within me the food, the strength, the faith that I need." Watch and see what happens. With a sincere heart, He will satisfy every hunger. He'll do it.Psa 84:1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
Psa 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Psa 84:3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
Psa 84:4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
Psa 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
Psa 84:6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
Psa 84:7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
Psa 84:8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Psa 84:9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
Psa 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psa 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Psa 84:12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
