24-0304P_TESTIMONY OF A TRUE WITNESS PT-5

Act 1:1  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Act 1:2  Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
Act 1:3  To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Act 1:4  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Act 1:5  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Act 1:6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Act 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Act 1:9  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Act 1:10  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Act 1:11  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Joh 3:31  He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
Joh 3:32  And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
Joh 3:33  He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

Heb 11:5  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

*GOD'S SPIRIT GIVING WITNESS.

THE.TESTIMONY.OF.A.TRUE.WITNESS_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-6  SUNDAY_  61-1105

180    I'm sitting here now looking at a little Norwegian, doctoring--doctor, medical doctor setting over here, who come all the way from Norway, over here to be prayed for. And the other night, while we were setting together in a private interview, the Holy Spirit moved into the room.

He said, "I'm waiting, Brother Branham, to see what will be said."

There the Holy Spirit went way back down through his life, all the way back to when something happened, told him about it, and what happened, and what condition, all about it, and told him that thing. What was it? God's Spirit giving witness.

*GOD BEARING WITNESS. BY WHAT?..... BY THE HOLY GHOST. AMEN. THAT'S GOD'S WITNESS.

THE.TESTIMONY.OF.A.TRUE.WITNESS_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-6  SUNDAY_  61-1105

184    There's perhaps another little fellow setting here that the--Brother Palmer's church sent up: all confused, and knowing not what to do; he got tore up about something. A nice little fellow; I suppose he went home. But there was... He sent him up here. Brother Palmer wrote me a letter, and said, "Brother Branham, I know it's a strenuous time," or something like that, "but when you can get a chance, see him, because he's a good brother." And--and the church had sent him up. He was on the interview. While setting there, this great deep something in his mind, before he had a chance to say anything the Holy Spirit reached down and got it, brought it out, showed him. And he rejoiced, and the tears run down his cheeks. Why? God bearing witness. By what? By William Branham? No, sir. By the Holy Ghost. Amen. That's God's Witness.

*THE HOLY GHOST, THE TRUE WITNESS OF GOD. WHAT IS IT? DEITY TABERNACLED IN MEN.

THE.TESTIMONY.OF.A.TRUE.WITNESS_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-6  SUNDAY_  61-1105

185    Let me tell you something else. Why did... This little fellow setting over here, called Higginbotham, a deacon was here in the church; served his time out, now just a loyal member, he raised, this morning to speak in tongues, I believe, and prophesy. Why did that Holy Spirit, said, in this morning, when he was giving the interpretation, "I have anointed My servant to bring you things that you ought to know"? Oh. Why? And I heard him standing here, with my head down, was choking the tears down through my heart. That man knowed no more; I had never said a word to him or nobody else, what I speak on, 'cause I just come to the pulpit. And there he was, revealed the text, and told the people to set themselves in order for It. "I'll speak to you," said, "I've sent him to many nations, to many peoples, this same Message. And I'll speak to you this morning. Take heed to It," He said, "for I've anointed him and sent him in." O God. What is it? The Holy Ghost, the true Witness of God. What is it? Deity tabernacled in men. Hallelujah.

*BUT THE HOLY GHOST IS DEITY, GOD TABERNACLED IN MEN.

THE.TESTIMONY.OF.A.TRUE.WITNESS_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-6  SUNDAY_  61-1105

186    What? Church, that's the reason I can't take the baptism of the Holy Ghost of crying, shaking, or speaking in tongues, or any sensation. They're all right now. See? Them--them things are all right, but the devil can impersonate that so real.

But the Holy Ghost is Deity, God tabernacled in men. It's more than a sensation. It's more than speaking in tongues. It's more than shouting in the Spirit. It's more than weeping. It's more than joining church. It's God living in men, Deity, God Himself tabernacled into that person, when he can speak and it's just the same as God speaking; that's the Church of Jesus Christ. That's the way that first apostolic church went forth.

*GOD SAID IT, AND THAT'S THE WAY IT'S GOING TO BE. IT'S JUST GOT TO BE THAT WAY.

EXPECTATIONS_  RICHMOND.VA  WEDNESDAY_  61-0308

... And the Bible said, "He's a rewarded of those that diligently seek Him." That's right.

EXPECTATIONS_  RICHMOND.VA  WEDNESDAY_  61-0308

E-39    You seek Him with all your heart and get down to business, God will be there to meet you. That's right. But you have to not just kind of slop-way through; you've got to come right straight to God and confess everything, and lay it out, and come on those grounds and God will meet you there. He will do something for you. He will answer your prayers.

Every man that ever believed in God, or heard God's voice, expected Him to do something. When God spoke to Noah in the Old Testament...

Now, they'd never been any rain on the earth. Why there's... God watered the earth... Up to, before the antediluvian destruction, why, He watered it through irrigation, up through the earth. It had never rained. And God spoke to--to Noah and told him to prepare an ark for the saving of his house, that it was going to rain. Rain was going to come out of the skies and the whole earth was going to be covered with water. And Noah was expecting that to happen. If he would not have expected it, the first critic come by, he would've said, "Well, I guess maybe I was wrong. It wasn't God." See? So he'd went away.

EXPECTATIONS_  RICHMOND.VA  WEDNESDAY_  61-0308

E-40    Now, that's about the way that the 1961 version of the church would act. But that's not really... The real borned again Christian, when God says so, we expect it to be that way. God said it, and that's the way it's going to be. It's just got to be that way.

He said... You know, why we're that--why we are the way we are today? How the church is lukewarm in this Laodicean church age? Why, it's... God said it would be that way. You can't expect nothing else. It's got to be that way. That's right. But He's got... "All that he loves He chastens and rebukes," and "I stand at the door and knock, and if any man would hear My voice..." that's the address to this church age by God in the Bible of Revelation the 3rd chapter to the Laodicean Church Age.

*BE ON HIS HANDS, EVERY MORNING, EVERY NIGHT, EVERY DAY, ALL THE TIME, CONSTANTLY. JUST KEEP SEEKING, KEEP ASKING, KEEP KNOCKING.

PERSEVERANCE_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  63-0113E

96      First thing you have to do, if you're going to find Christ, you've got to know that you've got a need of Him. When you think that you just don't need Him, then you'll never find Him, 'cause you won't search Him diligently.

97    Did you notice that Scripture where it says, "Seek and ye shall find, knock and it'll be opened"? Actually, that's just not knock, like [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit once--Ed.], and it'll be opened. He that's not just say, "Well, I went out, Lord. Here I am. You want me?" No, that's not it. "He that seeketh, he that knocketh," continuation. [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit several times.] It has to compare with the rest of the Scriptures.

98    Like the unjust judge and the widow. She constantly knocked on his door. She was persistent. If he turned her away today, tomorrow she was on his hands again.

PERSEVERANCE_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  63-0113E

99      That's the way you want to get God. Be on His hands, every morning, every night, every day, all the time, constantly. Just keep seeking, keep asking, keep knocking. Just don't knock a little while, and get tired and go away. Just keep standing there, "Lord, I'm here, and I'm not going to leave. I'm on Your hands now. I'm going to stay right here. You getting tired listening? I'm having a great time knocking, 'cause I know You're coming." Amen. That's when something happens. He has to get you off of His hand, see, so He comes out to answer you. Now, faith finds this.

*WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THE HOUR YOU'RE LIVING IN? WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR JESUS AT THIS TIME?

TRYING.TO.DO.GOD.A.SERVICE.WITHOUT.BEING.THE.WILL.OF.GOD_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-8  SUNDAY_  65-0718M

203      Every time when I return home, somebody is gone. I'll be gone a few months, come back, somebody is gone. I get sad every time I come.

The other day, a boy I went to school with, coming down the street, he said, "Hello, Billy."

204    I looked at him, he used to be a handsome little fellow, real black shiny hair combed back; now it's as white as snow. He used to be so straight; tummy way out like this. I said, "Hello, Jim." I looked at him.

I felt in my heart, I thought, "God, that boy and I, that man and I, are the same age."

Then, I know my days are numbered. I know it can't be too much longer. I look around, and think, "What can I do, Lord? Help me. I don't want to go ahead of You. I want to stay right--right behind You. You lead the way." I look, and think, "Fifty-six years old, oh, my, can't be much longer!"

TRYING.TO.DO.GOD.A.SERVICE.WITHOUT.BEING.THE.WILL.OF.GOD_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-8  SUNDAY_  65-0718M

205      And I look down, see my good friend Bill Dauch setting there, seventy-two or seventy-three years old. I look around, I see these kids, they think, "Well, I'll wait till I get as old as Brother Branham, I'll think that." Honey, you may never see that. I doubt very much you seeing it. See? But, just think, if Brother Bill Dauch lives through this day, he'll out-live hundreds of fifteen-, sixteen-year-old people. They're dying every hour.

So what difference does it make what age you are! What are you doing about the hour you're living in? What are you doing for Jesus at this time? See? Oh, I want to see Him. I want to see the hour I look and see all these old bodies transformed, see them "changed in a moment, in a twinkle." If that isn't so, then we're most foolish people; eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you die; see, you're just like a animal, you die and go to the dirt and that's all. But there's a mortal... immortal soul living in you, brother. We done heard from Heaven. We done seen it proven. We know that He is, and a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.

WHAT IF SHE HADN'T HAVE COME? NO HOPE

A.TESTIMONY.ON.THE.SEA_  SALEM.OR  FRIDAY_  62-0720

E-82    The other night I asked that down here in California. A seventy-six year old woman raised up her hand when the altar call was made, had a glorious conversion, went home, and laid on her pillow, and went to meet God: seventy-six years, and right at the last moment was brought in. What if she hadn't have come? No hope. Will you raise your hand and make that one all-sufficient stand?

A.TESTIMONY.ON.THE.SEA_  SALEM.OR  FRIDAY_  62-0720

E-83    Now, smoking, drinking, committing adultery, cursing, that's not sin. There's only one sin. That's unbelief. You do those things because you are a unbeliever. If you was a believer, you wouldn't do those things.

There's only two things: one of them is faith, and the other one's unbelief. One of them possess you. And if you're a little doubt about the Word of God, every Word of It being true, then you're an unbeliever. The Holy Spirit doesn't dwell in you. If you dispute one Word of God's promise or question it, there's something wrong.

*YOU ARE SECURELY ANCHORED IN HIM BECAUSE YOU WERE ORDAINED TO THAT LIFE.

I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_  SHREVEPORT.LA  V-7 N-3  SATURDAY_  65-1127E

…You see, when a man or a person has once really come in contact with God, with that genuine, revealed faith that "God is!" There's nothing, no time, no where, can ever separate that man from his God. I believe it was Paul said, "There's no strife, no hunger, no perils, neither living creatures, or death, or anything that can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus." You are securely anchored in Him because you were ordained to that Life.

*JOB WITH HIS PERFECT REVELATION OF GOD, AND WHO GOD WAS, AND HOW GOD LOVED HIM, HE WAITED!

I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_  SHREVEPORT.LA  V-7 N-3  SATURDAY_  65-1127E

56      But Satan thought he could twist him around a little bit, and cuff him up, and make him do it. But, you see, Job with his perfect revelation of God, and who God was, and how God loved him, he waited! No matter what the circumstances was, he waited for his faith to be confirmed, because he had had a grip on God, a revelation. That I spoke of last night.

57    Now, when the sick people that's in the building, the crippled people, or you that have a need of God, when you can get that type of a revelation that you are "justified," when you are actually justified in asking the thing that you're asking for, and believe that "He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek after Him," there's nothing can ever separate you from that faith that's anchored to you. See? But, first, it has to be revealed to you.

Jud 1:20  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Jud 1:21  Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jud 1:22  And of some have compassion, making a difference:

Jud 1:23  And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Jud 1:24  Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Jud 1:25  To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
