Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Num 20:7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Num 20:8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
Num 20:9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
Num 20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
Num 20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

E-62 Now, look I
got a whole scrip bag full of it, and I'm going to put it on Christ Jesus, and
you sick sheep start licking right now. And you'll find out that you'll get
well, as sure as the world. That's right. Hallelujah. That's right, you'll
get... Yes, sir. I ain't going to put it on the Methodist church; I ain't going
to put it on the Baptist church; I ain't going to put it on the Pentecostal
church; I'm putting it on where it belongs, Jesus Christ. Don't say, "I'm
a Baptist." you're licking on the Baptist church. Don't say, "I'm
Pentecost." You're licking on that church. But lick on Christ. He is the
Rock of Ages. There's where the honey belongs, on Christ. Amen.
Deu 32:18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Heb 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Heb 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
103 Oh, my. I was talking on power of prayer,
power of speech, power for a holy life. Amen. That's what the Holy Ghost is to
do.
Some of you people walking along,
saying, "Well, I just can't quit drinking. I just can't quit this."
The Holy Ghost comes to live in you to make all these "can'ts" get
away from you (That's right.): make women stop cutting their hair, make them
quit wearing shorts and slacks (no excuses), make them quit tattling. Oh, yes.
That's what It's for, to make you a holy life. It'll follow the instructions of
the Bible every time.
Woman say, "It's just too
hot. I just have to wear these. Gives me a headache if I let my hair
grow." But there's no excuses with the Holy Ghost. It's there to make it
so. It'll follow the Word just exactly. That's what the Holy Ghost is to do.
It's to make you man turn your head from them half naked women and quit lusting
after them. Yeah, church members... That's what It's to do.

JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 56-0108
E-23 He let
Daniel hear the roar of the lion, and maybe, his hot breath right against him.
That lions with their mouths open, hungry down in this pit. And the lions
rushed right to him, and with a great roaring blast, till they was ready to
seize onto Daniel. All at once he was covered with an Angel. Amen. Light
swirled around Daniel. No doubt but it was the Pillar of Fire that led the
children of Israel. Animals are scared of fire. You know that; they're scared
of light. You can shine a light in any animals face, and it'll run. And maybe
God shined forth, 'cause God lives in brightness. God is a consuming Fire.
Maybe, all of a sudden, not knowing, he said, what would happen, but they threw
him into the lion's den, and then the Holy Spirit was there, and the lions
backed off and laid down. How was that?
And I said, "Oh, brother, I different with
you." I said, "I believe that the Holy Spirit is here. He's the One
that fills us. And our life is not our own, but it's the Life of the Holy
Spirit in us that makes us Christians." I believe that, that ever fiber of
a Christian's body is controlled by the Holy Spirit. I believe that your eyes
are. You can't help when you look to see an evil, but if you lust after it,
you've already committed adultery. You turn your head. The Holy Spirit makes
you do that. Is that right? You might be tempted. Temptation is not sin.
Heeding your temptation is sin. See? You can be tempted. Christ was tempted
like we are, but never sinned. So the Holy Spirit is God that helps us bear out
the truth of God, and we're written epistles read of all man.
281 And, look,
you are a part of that ground. Is that right? And when He redeemed you, He
redeemed the earth with the same thing, and you are together again. Oh, how
much plainer can it be. See? You have to be redeemed 'cause you're a part of
it. And if the Blood didn't drop on you, you ain't redeemed yet; you're not
called. Then He cleanses it; that's the same thing He does in the Fire. Even,
the Blood dropped, it's yet got to be cleansed by Fire, that's right, for a
dwelling place for God. 282 God already
took up His abode, potentially. The Kingdom of God is in the earth now, in the
hearts of His saints. It's His attributes that He begin in the beginning. Now
His attributes is redeemed. What's He waiting? To redeem the earth, to set His
attributes on it, to fulfill exactly His predestinated plan. Do you see it?
80 That man
fell, like the seed has to fall. And then God begin to brood over that, after
the fall. He brought up a--a Enoch, He brought up a Elijah, He brought up a
Moses, He brought up prophet after prophet, trying to restore that image again.
And, finally, upon the earth came the genuine image of God Himself again, which
was God, the Logos made flesh and dwelt among us. 81 Now that same
Logos has a part, He has got a Bride, and the same Logos, this Word that cannot
be tampered with, is brooding over the churches today, trying to bring back the
Word to Its full manifestation. Which, the--the prophets was carriers to that
Seed, and the church denominations has been carriers to the Seed now. Now
notice, quickly, but like the shuck hugs, holds in the Seed now, then it leaves
her.
He said, "If My Kingdom of this world, I could call many legions of
Angels; but My Kingdom is not of this world, but My Kingdom is in heaven."
And He said, "The Kingdom of God will be within you." So therefore
the legions and powers of the backing of the holy Angels (Hallelujah.) is in
you, was born into the Deity of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Yes,
sir.
107 Who are you this morning? Who is Christ
Jesus? He's in you as much as you'll let Him be. He's pressing, trying to get
into you, to move into you today. And you stand off, and wonder, and look and
gaze, and hold back a little while. Don't do that. Move right straight into the
Kingdom of God. The hour's here. Hallelujah. Oh, how I love Him. He's coming one of these days. I want
to see Him. Don't you? I want to see Him. I believe we will see Him. Don't you?
He's here now. His power is moving.

CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_ 59-0614
So is it today, that many people die in front of the
church, on the steps, in the pews, die in their sins because they refuse to
accept God's Balm that's in Gilead. They die in their sins because they refuse
it, not because there isn't any there; but they just refuse to take it. Then
what will they take? They have to take something false instead. It's not
because there's none there, because there is. But men and women just refuse to
take it, and they die, die in the church, set in the meetings and listen night
after night to inspired prophets of God, who's takes the Word fearlessly and
lays it out, "Ye must be borned again." Men and women set in the pews
and die, and sink into utter despair, and annihilated from God. Not because
there's not grace and salvation, but because they refuse to receive it.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Jer 25:11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Hag 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
Hag 1:2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.
Hag 1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
Hag 1:4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
Hag 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Hag 1:6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
Hag 1:7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Hag 1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
Hag 1:9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
Hag 1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
Hag 1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
Hag 1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
Hag 2:5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
Hag 2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
Hag 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
Jer 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
Psa 103:1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Pro 11:1 A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
Pro 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Gen 23:14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,
Gen 23:15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.
Gen 23:16 And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.
Rev 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
Job 31:2 For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
Job 31:3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
Job 31:4 Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
Job 31:5 If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
Job 31:6 Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.
Job 31:7 If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
Pro 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag are his work.
Ezr 8:24 Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
Ezr 8:25 And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:
Ezr 8:26 I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;
Ezr 8:27 Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
Ezr 8:28 And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
Ezr 8:29 Watch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.
Ezr 8:30 So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.
2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Eph 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
135To be borned
again means be birthed from above. "Again" means "from
above." I guess you know that. See? To be born again means to be birthed
from above. Now, you'll see, and you can study it if you want to in the
lexicon. See, means "a birth that's come from above." Because you've
been born here, now to be born again you have to be born from up here, to be
born again. Then that Kingdom is so much higher than this kingdom, so much
greater than this kingdom, till this kingdom is foolish to that, and that's
foolish to this.
ADOPTION.1_JEFF.INAD.1SUNDAY_60-0515E
And now after you are in, that don't mean that you're out
free from war. You still have to fight for every inch of ground you stand on.
So see, Canaan did not represent the great heaven, because it's war and
troubles and killings and fightings, and so forth. But it did represent this:
that it must be a perfect walk.
ADOPTION.1_JEFF.INAD.1SUNDAY_60-0515E
47So Ephesus
here sets us like Joshua, positionally. You notice, Joshua, after crossing over
the land and taking the land, then he divided the land. "Ephraim here,
Manasseh's here, and this one here, Gad here, Benjamin here." He divided
the land.
And notice. Oh, this just burns our hearts. Each one of
those Hebrew mothers giving birth to those children, she spoke the very place
in her labor pains, where they would be positioned in the promised land. Oh,
it's a great study. If we could only go into it in details, which would take
hours after hours... Someday when we get our church fixed, I'd just like to
come and take a solid month or two, just stay right in it. Watch when they,
each one of those mothers, when she called out, "Ephraim," when she
was in labor, positionally placed him where his feet was setting in oil. Just
exactly every one of them where they were at...
And Joshua, not knowing this, but by inspiration, led of
the Holy Spirit, after being into the promised land, give each man his promise,
exactly what the Holy Spirit promised through the birth back there.
92Everything in
heaven is still in order; all the stars, the galaxies, the solar system,
everything is perfectly in order. One of them move, it would interrupt the
whole program.
93Now listen. Do you see? One interruption
spoils the entire program! Now, when human beings was running in continuity
with God, with one man and one woman, this woman sinned and it throwed the
whole earthly program out of continuity with God. Therefore, one word added to
this Book, or one Word taken from It; throws a Christian out of continuity with
God, throws a church out of continuity with God, throws a family out of
continuity with God. Every believer can be throwed out, by not accepting every Word
of God.
And in that land where we come from, the nature and the
habits of that land is holiness, cleanliness, godliness. And if the Spirit of
that land moves into us, then this land is strange to us." 'Cause your
soul and your spirit motivates you; it makes you what you are. And you'll never
be able to join churches and get that out of you; you'll still be a church member
and make fun of people who preach against such immorals.
BALM.IN.GILEAD_CLEVELAND.TNTUESDAY_59-0707
E-21You've got to be borned again from above.
Then you are new creatures in Christ Jesus, and you're as Abraham was; you're
his children. You are seeking a City whose Builder and Maker is God. That's why
you act different. That's why you see things different. You never get
customized to this world, because you're from above. You act like the Kingdom
you belong in.
That's the reason we act different from the world. Our
citizenship is in heaven. We reflect the Spirit of the world of our rebirth
where Jesus is the King. That is why our women do not dress in men's clothing
or cut their hair or use all those cosmetics and other things that the world
likes so much. That is why our men don't drink and smoke and carry on in sin.
Our dominion is the dominion over sin and it is in force through the power that
is in the Spirit of Christ That in-dwells us. Every kingdom on earth is going
to be torn down, but ours will remain.
A.PRISONER_JEFF.INV-2 N-8WEDNESDAY_63-0717
97He was bound.
He was bound by a chain, and by fetters of love, to do the will of God, and
that only. He was a prisoner. He was in a fetters of love. He was in the yoke
with Christ. He could yoke up with nothing else. He was yoked with Him. And
where the Lead went, that's where he had to go. Regardless of how green the
pasture was, here on this side or that side, he had to go the way the Leader
and the yoke went.
A.PRISONER_JEFF.INV-2 N-8WEDNESDAY_63-0717
98Oh, tonight, if we, as the Branham Tabernacle,
could only become prisoners; to our own selfish being, to our own ambition,
that we could completely surrender ourself and be yoked to Him, no matter what
the rest the world thinks, what the rest the world does. We're yoked with
fetters of love. We are prisoners. "My feet is so yoked to Christ, it
won't dance. My eyes is so yoked to Christ, till I, when I see these modern
striptease on the street, It turns my head. My--my heart is so yoked in love to
Him, till I can't have love for this world, anymore. My will is so yoked to
Him, till I don't even know now what my ambitions are. Just, 'Wherever You
lead, I'll follow, Lord.' I'll be a prisoner." See?
311-633 "All
powers in heaven and earth is given into My hand. Go, and I'll go with you.
Whatever you bind on earth, I'll bind in heaven. What you loose on earth, I'll
loose in heaven."
Oh, if the great holy Church only realized its power to
do these things. But there's so much doubt and fear and trembling, wondering if
it will, "Could it happen?" As long as that exists, the Church can
never stand upright. And when every talk of fear is vanished and the Holy
Spirit is completely in control of the Church, then all fears are gone, and
that Church has the power. See? Why, they have everything that heaven owns
behind them. They're ambassadors of the throne. Absolutely. An ambassador of
Christ has the authority, and everything that Christ owns belongs to that
ambassador. And He said, "Go ye into all the world; you are My witnesses
after the Holy Ghost is come on you." And what is a witness? Is an
ambassador, is to come and witness something. The whole powers of heavens is
right in your hands. Oh, why do we set, and the church is barren, and we set
dormant? Is because that we don't recognize these things.
Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
2Ki 5:1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2Ki 5:2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
2Ki 5:3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
2Ki 5:4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
2Ki 5:5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
2Ki 5:6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
2Ki 5:7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
2Ki 5:8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
2Ki 5:9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
2Ki 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
2Ki 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
2Ki 5:12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
2Ki 5:13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
2Ki 5:14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
Joh 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
Joh 2:2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
Joh 2:3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
Joh 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Joh 2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
Joh 2:6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
Joh 2:7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
Joh 2:8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
Joh 2:9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
Joh 2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
Luk 10:34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
1Ti 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
Mat 9:7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
Mat 9:8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Mat 9:9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
Mat 9:10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
Mat 9:11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
Mat 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
Mat 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Mat 9:14 Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?
Mat 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
Mat 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
Mat 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
134 The Body of Christ is one Spirit, where
every member from Pentecost to this time drinks of the same New Wine, the same
Holy Ghost, bringing forth the same results. How do we do it? By one Spirit.
It's God's open door, the Holy Spirit. What is It? It's God's open door; It's a
Sign; It's a Seal; It's a Comforter; It's an Advocate; It's an Assurance; It's
Rest; It's Peace; It's goodness; It's healing; It's Life; It's--It's God's open
Door to all these things. It's God's open Door to Christ which has... God
proved that He raised up Jesus from the dead. And those that are dead in Christ
will God bring with Him at the resurrection. "Grieve not the Holy Spirit
whereby you are sealed into Christ until the day of your redemption." How
many believes it?

Now, if you want Scripture for this, just start reading Acts 2. What'd
they have? They had the promise that had been given them. When all of the
promise of the Holy Spirit was poured out on them, and was--it was Scripturally
a-vindicated...
Now, see the... What if they'd
said, "Now, wait. He told us to wait up here for our ministry." And
after eight days, they said, "Well, I tell you, boys..." Mark said to
Matthew, "I--I believe we've already got it, fellows. Don't you think
so?" See, "We already got it. Why are we waiting on our ministry?
Now, we ought to just go on out preaching. He told us to come up here and wait,
and this is eight days we been here."
"Well, let's wait another
one."
Nine days come. Then Mark comes
around or--or--or maybe one of the rest of them, John, said, "I--I--I
believe we oughtn't to wait any longer. I believe we've already got it, don't
you?"

272-2 {312} And I can see Simon, 'cause he had the
keys, you know. "Now, wait a minute, boys. The Scripture's got something
to say about this. He never told us just how many days to wait. He said, 'You
stay there until... You stay there until Joel's prophecy comes to pass, until
Isaiah's prophecy is a-vindicated. For with stammering lips and with other
tongues will I speak to this people,' and this is the refreshment. This is the
wine that's poured out."
AND THE JESUS CAME
Joh 11:18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: Joh 11:19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Joh 11:20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. Joh 11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Joh 11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Joh 11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Joh 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: Joh 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Joh 11:27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. Joh 11:28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

E-11 But Jesus knew better. Jesus knew what the
Father's will was. And, oh, what a blessed privilege it is that we can know the
Father's will. If we will seek God, God will make known His will. I'd rather
know that I was in the will of God if I never spoke to another person, then to
preach to ten thousand people every night out of the will of God; I'd rather
know the will of God.
I believe that it was David that
said, "I'd rather be a doormat at the (or something), at the house of My
Lord, than to dwell in tents with wickedness." What a privilege to find
our place and there abide. No matter how the devil shakes, what he says, or how
he scoffs, stay right straight in the will of God.

Now, that really was a dark time.
Could you imagine those two beautiful young ladies sending for Jesus to come
and He refused to do it? After they had come out of the church, and had denied
the old orthodox religion, and had separated themselves from the other
associates of the world, and were then putting their whole trust in this Man,
Christ, Who they believed to be the Messiah, Christ, and then He let them down?
He would come from glory to
Shreveport for one soul that was ready to receive Him. And remember this man
that was ready to receive Him was a sick man. He was mentally sick. He was a
maniac. He'd lost his mind. The doctors could do nothing for him. He was out
into the--out into the caves, in the graveyard. That's the place the devil will
take you. He will put you in the graveyard.

E-23 The darkest of hour, then Jesus came along.
Could you imagine, legion going back down to his home, and finding where he
used to live. The little wife had to sell the place. And he wondered where she
was at, so he searched from place to place. Finally someone said, "She
lives down in the alley."
And when he goes down there in a
little old tin shack, when the children see him coming, they run to hide. The
wife grabbed up her little shawl, and put on her, and started out the gate. And
he said, "Never mind, honey. Never mind, children. Come here to daddy. I
want to take you on my arms. I want to put my arms around you, sweetheart. Your
little dresses are tore off."
Oh, she said, "What
happened?"
He said, "Jesus came along.
That's what made the difference. "Oh, wife, babies, come here. It was the
darkest time. The devils were tormenting me, and then Jesus came along."

Joh 11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
Joh 11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Joh 11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
Joh 11:6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Mar 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
Mar 5:20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
Mar 7:31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
Isa 44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
Isa 44:4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

E-13But salt is a savour if it contacts.
You--you have a piece of meat here, and a barrel of salt here, you've got to
get them together to, the salt to the meat or the meat to the salt, to preserve
the meat. And that's the way it is. We've got to get the believer with the
unbeliever. That's right. You've got to get them into the Church, into the
salty bunch of people. And you know, salt--salt also makes a thirst, doesn't
it? And if you eat salt, you get thirsty. And God wants His Church so salty,
till the whole world will thirst to be like them (That's right. See?), just
thirsty, just thirsty. Just think, say, "Oh, if I could only live the way
that woman lived. If she ain't the most sweetest, peaceful person, never out of
humor, never is fussy. She's always kind, trying to do something to help
somebody else. Why, she's a credit to any man's church."
E-22Maybe some of those poor Israelites... They
left garlic and onions to eat Angel's food, and was complaining about it. They
had left the muddy waters of Egypt to drink from the fountain of life, and were
complaining about it. They had led--left the boasting physicians of Egypt to be
with the great Physician, and was complaining about it. They left a bunch of
people that believes the days of miracles were past to be with a bunch of
people, believed that all things were possible, and still complaining about it.
Isn't that just like the church
today? Come out of Egypt, come out of the world, out here in this glorious
Church of the living God, the firstborn, and 'cause we have little trials, God
asked us to believe and to hold on. We still complain about it.
Now notice, another thing they
had done. They left the people back there that had no signs, to live under the
Pillar of Fire and a Cloud, and was complaining about it. No wonder their water
supply was cut off. That's what's the matter with the church today. There's too
much grumbling about things, complaining. Be satisfied and keep moving on,
pressing on.
E-23And when the water supply
got cut off, God asked them to go to speak to the rock, that it would bring
forth its waters. Now tonight, the only thing you have to do, is speak to the
Rock and it will bring forth His water. And if you're on speaking terms with
Him tonight... How many's on speaking terms with the Rock tonight, let's see
your hands. Fine.
E-3A lady in my church... Brother Beeler, a
Mrs. Weber. She was dying with TB. She was in the sanatorium at the last
stages. They sent her home to die: said there's nothing could be done for her.
Mrs. Grace Webber, in Jeffersonville. She lived just beyond the Tabernacle, and
she had a got five or six little children. So the Angel of the Lord come to me
that night and said, "Go, tell Mrs. Webber and tell Mr. Webber, rather, to
get things ready; for he's going to be left with those children on his hands;
for his wife's going." Well, I went and told Mr. Webber. I told his little
girl, little Jean Rose, which is a nurse now. She was a little bitty fellow
then. She's a young lady now. It's been seven years ago or more. I said, "Now, Jeanie, your
mother's going to die. She can't live but a little while longer."
E-4And two days after that, or
three days, there was some ladies from the government depot there, where she
worked, come in. And she--and Grace, Mrs. Webber, said, "If--if I could
only have Brother Bill to pray for me once more," she said, "I seen
when my cousin Opal was healed with that cancer, and the doctor just give her
'till morning to live," and her daughter's a nurse also. Said--and that--the girls from
out at the government where she worked with her, said, "There ain't
nothing to that guy." Said, "He isn't nothing but a hypocrite."
Said, "That's all that religion is, is just a bunch of fake
fanaticism."
And so Miss Webber said,
"Look, I'm a dying. And I know that, but I just won't stand still for
that." She said, "I know better than that." She said, "I
been--lived right here around this city, around that man all the time. I seen
him from a child, growed up." She said, "I know." Said,
"You can call it fake if you want to," she said, "but I've seen
it just as--so much, and seen God heal the people." She said, "And I
know the man's life and I know it's the truth."
E-5And it happened to be the
Angel of the Lord heard that. And that very night, setting on the side of my
chair, in the room, after I got up and went and got a drink of water, about
three o'clock in the morning, and setting on a chair, I seen Him come walking
through the door. He said, "Tomorrow (Sunday), that they're going to pick
Miss Webber up and bring her down. She'll be setting on the right hand side,
far back in the Tabernacle." Said, "I heard her, and tell her I heard
her, what she said. And tell her, THUS SAITH THE LORD, she'll live and not
die." She...?... There you are.

97He
said, "Moses, the one that told you that, he longed to see My day. And he
saw it in portion."
98He said, "Now, You mean to tell us
that You're greater than Moses? That You seen Moses? And Moses has been dead
eight hundred years." Said, "Now we know that You got a devil,"
other words, "crazy. We know that You're crazy."
99He said, "Before Abraham was, I AM. I
was THE GREAT I AM that was in the burning bush. I'm that Fire that was in the
burning bush. I'm that Angel that went before them." And He said, "I
come from God, and I go back to God." And He came from God, made flesh and
dwelt among us; went back to that same Pillar of Fire.
And here He is, tonight, after
two thousand years, "the same yesterday, today, and forever," doing
the same thing, leading His blessed children.
Deu 8:4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
Exo 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Exo 23:25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Exo 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Jer 17:6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Jer 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. Jer 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Jer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Jer 2:12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. Jer 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Amo 5:25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
1Co 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 1Co 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 1Co 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
24-0322A_THE IDENTIFIED CHRIST OF ALL AGES Pt-18 (THE MESSAGE IN EACH AGE)
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
2Ch 36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 2Ch 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
Jas 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Jas 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. Jas 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Jas 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
*NOW, WE ALL KNOW, WE ARE VERY AWARE,
THAT THERE IS A GREAT SPIRITUAL DROUGHT IN THE LAND TODAY, SPIRITUALLY
SPEAKING.
Now, we all know, we are very aware, that there is
a great spiritual drought in the land today, spiritually speaking. And, you know, that was predicted
by the prophets, just before the second Coming of Christ would be, said,
"There will come a famine in the land, and it won't be for bread alone,
but for the hearing of the Word of God." And that day is now,
"hearing the true Word of God." Now, this types the natural drought
with the spiritual.
35 Sin and unbelief, by false teachers and modernists in the
church, had brought the place to this coming, oncoming judgment. Then they had turned from God's
Word and His prophet, to a modern theological terms of the Word.
*ELIJAH HAD A SECRET PLACE PROVIDED BY GOD HIMSELF.
36 You notice here, it's just at
that time that God always raises up something. Cause, He,
always, He does nothing until first He reveals it to the people, and He always
reveals it by His servants.
37 Now, but Elijah, during this time, had a secret place that God had
ordained for him to go to. That's the thing we want to see now just before we
have the prayer line. Elijah had a secret place
provided by God Himself. Now, the church never provided it for him, the
king never provided it for him, he didn't provide hisself, but God provided a secret place for Elijah to be fed all the
time during the drought, where his food was provided day by day. He
didn't need to wonder what's going to happen tomorrow or wonder if the supply
run out. God said, "I have commanded the ravens
and they'll feed you." What a wonderful thing, a type of our secret place
in Christ. *DURING THE TIME THAT HE WAS GOING TO
PUNISH THE UNBELIEVER, HE MADE A WAY FOR THE BELIEVER. HE IS THAT WAY!
41 During the time that
He was going to punish the unbeliever, He made a way for the believer. The same
thing He does each time. In the days when He was going to destroy the world by water, He made a
way of escape for Noah. In the days that He was going to drown Egypt, He made a
way of escape across the sea for His people. How God
makes His way! And where there is no way, He is that Way. He is that Way!
42 Now we realize that we are facing some of the... one of the greatest
hours that history has ever known. It isn't exactly the warhead with the bright
shiny missile, with a head on it, that we should be afraid of. It's the churches we should be afraid of. It's the hour that
we're living that we should watch. *AND HE HAS MADE A WAY FOR HIS BELIEVING
CHILDREN TO ESCAPE IT NOW, THE WRATH AND THINGS THAT IS TO COME.
43 Now notice, but God made a way
for Elijah to escape it. And He has made a way for His
believing children to escape it now, the wrath and things that is to come.
44 Because, God could not be just to judge those people and
send them punishment, and sink Sodom and Gomorrah, and sink Capernaum in the
middle of the sea, and condemn those generations, and Sodom and Gomorrah, and
then let us do the same thing and get by with it. We're just as sure for judgment
as they were sure for judgment. Now we notice that the... *WHEN THESE THINGS COME UP, THE MODERN
TREND OF THAT DAY, GOD ROSE UP A MAN IN THAT DAY, OR RAISED UP A MAN, RATHER,
TO COMBAT THE FORCES…
45 When these things come
up, the modern trend of that day, God rose up a man in that day, or raised up a
man, rather, to combat the forces, and they wouldn't listen to it. They thought he was crazy,
"He had lost his mind. He was just some old
fanatic, fool from the wilderness, kinda bush-crazed." But, yet, he had
the Word of the Lord. …*THEY COULDN'T SEE IT IF THERE WAS TEN
THOUSAND THINGS DONE BEFORE THEM. WHY, THEY, THEY'D NEVER SEE IT.
46 "The Word doesn't mean what
It says," they say today. "Oh, well, the Bible is a history
book." I guess you've seen this, that now they claim, that, "Eve
didn't eat the apple, she eat a..." What was it? I believe..."It was
a apricot," they say now. "It was an apricot." And then, that,
"Moses never brought the children through the Red Sea. It was a big bunch
of reeds, up the other end of that sea, and he went through a sea of
reeds." Then how did the water, w-a-t-e-r, wall up on both sides; they
went through on dry land, then? Oh, such nonsense! But,
you see, it takes that kind of a day to bring God's wrath down upon the people.
It does it.
47 They say there's no such a thing as--as these... Even church people
don't believe in miracles. "I'll give you a thousand dollars," they
said, "show me a miracle. Show me a miracle!" Well, they couldn't see it if there was ten thousand things done before
them. Why, they, they'd never see it. You say, "That's the impossible." Oh, no, it isn't.
48 Elijah one time was down at Dothan, and the Syrian army
had come over and surrounded the city, to take him, because they knowed that's where the--the
nation's power laid, was in that seer. Why,
the king... One of the man told the king
of Syria, said, "Why, you know, Elijah the prophet, the Tishbite, tells
the king of Israel what you talk about in your secret chamber."
49 Said, "Go get that guy! That's the fellow that's hindering
us." And the whole Syrian army slipped in around Dothan. They was all
around it.
50 And Gehazi, the--the servant of the prophet, woke up, and he said,
"Oh, my father, the armies is all around us here. We're completely
surrounded."
51 He said, "Why, there is more with us than there is with
them." See? And Gehazi looked around, said, "I don't see
nobody."
52 He said, "Lord God, open up that boy's eyes."
And his eyes opened up, and all the hills was full of Angels and chariots
sitting around, the unseen Forces. *AND PEOPLE ARE SO SPIRITUAL BLIND TODAY,
THOUGH THE LORD GOD COME DOWN IN THE MIDST OF THE PEOPLE AND DO ANYTHING…
53 Elijah walked right
out there, and the Bible said, "He smote them blind." He walked out
to them; they were blind to him. Walked out and said, "Are you looking for
Elijah?" He said, "Yes, we're looking for him."
54 Said, "Come on, tell you right where he's at,"
and led them right into ambush, right straight where the armies walked right
out and got them.
55 Now, the Bible said, "He smote them blind." That settles it. And people are so spiritual blind today, though the Lord
God come down in the midst of the people and do anything, and the things He
promised, they still can't see It. They are spiritually blind; don't
know God, don't know His great Power. Now, we notice that they did that in the
days of Elijah, and they still do it today. God smites
them blind. They say today, that, "There is no miracles, there is no such
a thing, all this is emotion." *THE BIBLE SAID THAT, "THIS WORD OF
GOD IS OF NO PRIVATE INTERPRETATION."…GOD CONFIRMS HIS WORD, AND THAT'S
THE INTERPRETATION OF IT.
57 Now notice. Today, as it was
then, they put their own interpretation to the Word. Now, if they want to do
that, that's up to them, but they try to make us believe it. The Bible said that, "This Word of God is of no private
interpretation." God does His Own interpretating. God confirms His Word,
and that's the interpretation of It. As I many times said, He said in
the beginning, "Let there be light," and there was light. That don't need
to be interpreted; it happened. He said, "A virgin would conceive,"
she did. He said He'd "pour out His Spirit," He did. And He said, "in the last days," the things that He
would do, and He's doing it! It don't need any interpretation; God is doing His
Own interpretating. No matter what foolish man say, that doesn't stop
God a bit. …*EACH MESSENGER BROUGHT THE MESSAGE OF
TRUTH TO THE PEOPLE, NEVER FAILING TO KEEP IT THE WORD OF GOD TO THAT
PARTICULAR CHURCH AGE.
59-1 PATMOS.VISION -
CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.2
Now we couldn't make a mistake here on any account, as He
interprets it for us. These seven stars are the messengers to the seven
successive church ages. They are not called by name. They are just set forth as
seven, one to each age. From the Ephesian Age on down to this Laodicean Age each messenger brought the message of truth to the people,
never failing to keep it the Word of God to that particular church age. Each
one held to it. They were steadfast in their loyalty to
the original light. As each age pulled away from God, His faithful messenger turned that age back to the Word.
Their strength was from the Lord or they never could have stemmed the tide. They
were safe in His care, for nothing could pluck them out of His hand, and
neither could anything separate them from the love of God, let it be sickness,
peril, nakedness, famine, sword, life or death. They
were truly yielded to Him and kept by His omnipotence. They were not
concerned about the persecution that came their way. Pain and derision was but cause to give glory to God that they were counted worthy
to suffer for Him. And in thankfulness for His salvation they burned with the
light of His life and reflected His love, patience, meekness, temperance,
gentleness, faithfulness. And God backed them up with wonders, signs,
and miracles. They were accused of being fanatics, and holy-rollers. They were
denounced by organizations and held in mockery, but
they kept true to the Word. Now it is not hard to stand up and keep true to a creed.
It is easy, for the devil is right behind all that. But
it is something else to be true to God's Word and go back to what the Word
originally produced after Pentecost. *YOU'VE GOT TO TAKE THE MESSAGE OF THE
HOUR.

158 May I repeat this again! In the kosher, in the offering of
the--the--the atonement in the days of Moses, when Moses brought the children
out, there was to be seven days that there was to be no leaven among the
people. Anyone knows that. In Exodus, "No leaven shall be found in your
camp at all, seven days." That seven days represented the full "seven
church ages."See?
159 "No leaven." Now, what is that? No
creed, no world. Jesus said, "If you love the world or the things of the world, the
love of God's not even in you."See?
And we're trying to mix that; you can't do it! You've
got to come to one thing to believe: you're either going to believe God, you're
going to believe your church, you're going to believe the world. You--you
cannot mix it together. And you can't hold to them old things that the other
church before you did. You've got to take the Message
of the hour.

160 He said, "What was left
over, don't let it stay till morning (to come into this other age), burn it
with fire; be destroyed." That the age that you're
living in, the Message of this age, It's got to be brought out of the
Scriptures and vindicated and proved by God that it's God doing so. Then
you either receive That or reject It. That's Eternal
Life, leadership of the Holy Spirit, leading His Church.
161 We could stay on
that a long time, but let's move, just keep moving along.

162 The choice of your conduct. You
could... You can't mix it now. You're either for God or
against God, and the outward expressions shows exactly what's on the inside. See?
The cocklebur... Many of you think, "I got the baptism of the Holy Ghost,
I'm going to Heaven." That don't mean one thing that you're going to
Heaven. No, sir. You can have the baptism of the Holy Ghost every hour in your
life, and still be lost and go to hell. The Bible says so. Uh-huh, that's
exactly right.
*THE TRUE EVIDENCE OF BEING BAPTIZED WITH
THE HOLY GHOST IS FOR THE BELIEVER TO RECEIVE THE WORD FOR THE AGE IN WHICH HE
LIVES.
Now we have been constantly saying that the true evidence of being baptized with the Holy Ghost is
for the believer to receive the Word for the age in which he lives. Let
me show you most clearly.
The Seven Ages as set forth in Revelation Chapters 2
& 3 take in the whole
span of the Fullness of the Gentiles, or the whole time in which God is dealing
with the Gentiles unto salvation. In every
single age, bar none, it says the very same thing in opening and closing the
message to each age. "Unto the
messenger of(Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira,
Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea) write; These things saith He, etc.,
etc. "... He
that hath an ear, let him (singular)hear what the Spirit
saith to the churches."Notice
here that Jesus (by the Spirit) in EVERY age addresses
Himself to ONLY ONE person relative to the Word for that age. Only
ONE messenger for each age receives what the Spirit has
to say to that age, and that ONE MESSENGER is the messenger to the true church. He speaks for God by revelation to the
"churches", both true and false. The message is then
broadcast to all. But though it is broadcast for all who come within
range of the message, that message is received
individually by only a certain qualified group in a certain way. Each individual of that group is one who has the ability to hear
what the Spirit is saying by way of the messenger. Those who hear are
not getting their own private revelation, nor is a group getting their
collective revelation,BUT EACH PERSON IS HEARING
AND RECEIVING WHAT THE MESSENGER HAS ALREADY RECEIVED FROM GOD.
Now think it not strange that this is the case, for Paul
set this pattern under the hand of God. Paul alone had
the full revelation for his day as evidenced by his confrontation of the other
apostles who admitted that Paul was the Prophet-Messenger to the Gentiles for
that day. And also note by actual illustration in the Word, that when
Paul desired to go to Asia, God forbade him, for the
sheep (His children) were in Macedonia and they (the Macedonians) would hear
what the Spirit had to say through Paul, while the people in Asia would not.
In every age we have exactly the same pattern. That is why the light comes through some God-given messenger
in a certain area, and then from that messenger there spreads the light through
the ministry of others who have been faithfully taught. But of course all
those who go out don't always learn how necessary it is to speak ONLY what
the messenger has spoken. (Remember, Paul warned the people to say only
what he said, I Corinthians 14:37, "If any man
think himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things
that I write unto you are the COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD. What? came the
Word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?") They add here, or
take away there, and soon the message is no longer pure, and the revival dies
down. How careful we must be to hear ONE voice, for
the Spirit has but one voice which is the voice of God. Paul warned them
to say what he said, even as Peter did likewise. He warned them that EVEN HE
(PAUL) could not change one word of what he had given by revelation. Oh, how important it is to hear the voice of God by way of
His messengers, and then say what has been given them to say to the churches.
I hope you are beginning to see it now. Perhaps you can
understand now why I don't hold with the fundamentalists and the Pentecostals. I
have to hold to the Word the way the Lord revealed it. Now I did not
cover it all. That would take a separate book, but by the help of the Lord we
will get many sermons and tapes and messages on all of these points to help you
to understand and dovetail all Scripture.
"He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches of each
age."In
every age it was the same cry. Hear what the Spirit says. If you are a Christian, you will get back to what the Spirit is
teaching, that is, the Word of this age. Every messenger to every age will
preach that Word.Every fresh and true revival
will be because men have gotten back to the Word for their age. The cry
of every age is the rebuke, "You have left the Word of God. Repent, and
come back to the Word." From the first book in the Bible (Genesis) to the
last book (Revelation) there is only one reason for God's displeasure--leaving
the Word; and there is only one remedy to regain His
favor--back to the Word.
Isa 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
Isa 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Isa 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1Pe 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1Pe 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1Pe 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Pe 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
1Pe 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pe 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1Pe 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1Pe 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1Pe 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
1Pe 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
1Pe 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
