25-0530A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-10 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)

25-0530A_THE STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN PT-10 (PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DIVINE NATURE)

2Pe 1:1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 1:5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2Pe 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2Pe 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

2Pe 1:8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe 1:9  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

2Pe 1:10  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Psa 25:21  Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

*FAITH WAITS WITH PATIENCE FOR THE PROMISED WORD TO BE FULFILLED.

I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_  SHREVEPORT.LA  V-7 N-3  SATURDAY_  65-1127E

48    And, now, we find out his life and trials, and his great faith. Even Jesus, when He came on the earth, He referred to the patience of Job. He said, "Have you not read of the patience of Job?" Faith waits with patience for the promised Word to be fulfilled.

*NO MATTER WHAT TAKES PLACE, LOOK AT GOD'S PROMISE, NOT HOW YOU FEEL, BUT WHAT GOD SAID.

GOD'S.COVENANT.WITH.ABRAHAM_  CHARLOTTE.NC  SATURDAY_  56-0428

E-27    …..So, you see, you must look at God's promise. See? No matter what takes place, look at God's promise, not how you feel, but what God said. Now, that's Abraham's faith.

When he was here, almost now, he was seventy-five years old and Sarah, sixty-five, and He said they was going to have a baby. And Abraham was strong in faith, giving praise to God, for he knew that God was able to keep His promise. Amen.

And the Bible said, "Every son that cometh to God must be chastened of God." And if we cannot stand chastisement, then we're not children of God; we become illegitimate children. A real child of God doesn't mind the whipping rod, the chastisement, doesn't mind the disappointments; he wades right on just the same. God said so. It's in his heart and nothing can move it, he's just there to stay. And Abraham, that's the way he acted upon God's promise, and that's the way every child of Abraham acts tonight. You believe it down here in this pit tonight?

*NO MATTER WHAT TAKES PLACE, BELIEVE IT ANYHOW.

GOD'S.COVENANT.WITH.ABRAHAM_  CHARLOTTE.NC  SATURDAY_  56-0428

E-28    Believe it. No matter what takes place, believe it anyhow. You see, Christians don't look at what they see; Christians look at things they don't see. And the things you don't see are more real than the things that you see. You see that microphone. It'll perish. I see faith that'll never perish. See? I see love--love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. Every shield of the believer is supernatural. Everything that belongs in the realm of Christianity is worked by supernatural.

*GOD HAS NOT PROMISED US EVERYTHING NICE, BUT GOD'S PROMISED GRACE TO ENDURE.

GOD.PROVIDED.A.LAMB_  INDIANAPOLIS.IN  THURSDAY_  56-0614

E-27    And now, notice another thing; after that then--after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah... We have to pass over many these great places. And then when we find then the next thing takes place that Abraham is setting out in the barren land. God has not promised us everything nice, but God's promised grace to endure. God's not promised to take us home on a flower bed of ease. Look at the patience of Job and the disciples, and down through the age, how men and women has suffered for the cause of Christ. And here was Abraham sitting upon the barren grounds under his oak, his little tent; the flock being very poor, because Lot had taken the choice grounds. And he and Sarah was setting there, and one afternoon while Abraham looked out, yet holding onto God's promise...

Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mar 13:13  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Jas 1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Jas 1:3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Jas 1:4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

25-0526P_THE COMFORTER PT-6 (HE CARES FOR YOU)

25-0526P_THE COMFORTER PT-6 (HE CARES FOR YOU)

Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Joh 14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Joh 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Joh 14:18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Joh 14:19  Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Joh 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Joh 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

1Pe 5:5  Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1Pe 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

*…PUT ALL YOUR HOPES ON HIM, FOR HE'S THE ONLY FOUNDATION.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

22    Oh, let me persuade you, in Christ's Name. You precious people here, put all your hopes on Him, for He's the only foundation. For there's coming a shaking. Democracy's shook to pieces. Kingdoms is shook to pieces. Nations is shook to pieces. We're at the end of all things. "But we receive a Kingdom that cannot be moved; steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the mercies of God." Oh, I love that. I'm so glad tonight to be a Christian. I--I--I don't know what I would do if I wasn't a Christian. I'd probably be a suicide case if I wasn't a Christian. For knowing and seeing these things, and--and then with the gift that the Lord has given me to foresee and understand what He will let me do, just let me see it... I know it's just across the horizon yonder. See? See it coming as close as it is, then it makes me scream with all that's in me. Oh, flee the wrath that is to come.

*HE WAS MADE TO WANT TO BE COMFORTED.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

34    So if man... He was made to want to be comforted. So then if he doesn't accept God's way, then he'll take a way for himself. And he'll try to substitute something to take the place of that Holy Spirit. Oh, I want you to listen to it. A man or a woman that will not accept the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will try to comfort themselves with some violent substitute that Satan will present to them. Satan's just got plenty of substitutes. But why do we have to have a substitute, when the Pentecostal skies are full of real? Why would I eat from a garbage can when a clean table's setting full of choicey food? There would be something mentally wrong with me if I did that. Now, what a pity it is to see that man will try to substitute something to take that place. Sometimes he'll try to ease his conscience by going out...

*GOD DOESN'T WANT HIS CHILDREN TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

48    …..The Lord's Body is the Church. And we do not have spiritual discernment enough to care for one another. How can we care then if we can't care for each other? How can we care for the lost and the dying? What hospital can we take them to? "Cast our cares upon Him, for He careth for you."

Man takes this short routes, and what makes them do that is because God, when He made man, He didn't make man to do that. He made man to be happy, to have satisfaction, to be comforted. Man... God doesn't want His children to be uncomfortable. You would not...

*GOD GAVE US SOMETHING TO COMFORT US: THE HOLY SPIRIT, GOD'S COMFORTER.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

38    And sometimes to be popular, they'll watch television on the--and on the streets, and smoking, the lowest thing that women has done in the twentieth century, when women started smoking cigarettes. That's the greatest fifth columnist this nation ever had. It breaks morals; it--it--it sends these institutions out here full of insanity people; it sends the hospitals full of tubercular, cancer cases, and everything developing from it, and yet they do it to get comfort.

God gave us something to comfort us: the Holy Spirit, God's Comforter. These things are only substitute that'll finally lead to a place rioting, and cheating, and stealing, and doing things wrong.

*BUT THEY'LL NEVER MEAN NOTHING TO YOU UNTIL GOD REVEALS THEM TO YOU.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

33    Now, you might've heard these Scriptures before, but let's take heed to Them. Are They true? They are more true than you're setting in this church tonight. They're more truer than this is the state of Arizona. They're more truer than you are a live human being. They're God's eternal Words, and His promises. And all heavens and earth will pass away, but them Words shall never pass away. They have meaning, the--meaning sublime. But they'll never mean nothing to you until God reveals Them to you. How beautiful it is to know that He cares for us.

*HE WAS MADE TO WANT TO BE COMFORTED. SO THEN IF HE DOESN'T ACCEPT GOD'S WAY, THEN HE'LL TAKE A WAY FOR HIMSELF.

*GOD GAVE US SOMETHING TO COMFORT US: THE HOLY SPIRIT, GOD'S COMFORTER. THESE THINGS ARE ONLY SUBSTITUTE THAT'LL FINALLY LEAD TO A PLACE RIOTING…

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

35    Like mother sometime will try to teach their young girls to be popular, to make... They... Their whole ambition is to make that young girl a--a ballet dancer or something. And you know that you're giving her strychnine; you're giving her arsenic that'll nothing but break her heart and send her to a devil's grave, or a devil's hell and a sinner's grave, for there's nothing good can come out of it. But you try to think, "If my daughter could be such-and-such..." And you'll send them over to the--even to as much as to our YWCAs, where they practice rock-and-roll. And the old people will get out for a barn dance, or some kind of a hoedown.

36    When they get around about thirty years old, they get the blues. They think that, "Then because that I have gotten this old, I haven't sowed enough wild oats yet." And they--they try to sometimes cheat in their marriage vows, both men and women; they're both guilty. What's the matter? It's something that they are lacking.

Sometimes they'll take to drinking. And after they get older, why, they'll go down to the barroom, and they'll start to drinking. And when they drink, and try to drink it away. Just a few drinks, and--and then it brings some more drinks, and after while they end up an alcoholic.

*THE ONLY COMFORTER, THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN--KNOWS HOW TO CARE FOR US, FOR WE CAN'T EVEN CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

46    …..You think you're getting by with something, but finally you'll end up with a pistol to the side of your head, and blow your brains out, or jump from some scaffold somewhere, or kill yourself, take poison, dope, or something, and go into a miserable condition, and die and go to a devil's hell, because you've rejected the-- the real cure.

We got a cure. Calvary's that cure. Christ is the Cure. And He is the only cure, the only foundation, the only way. There's things that you can get from Christ that you can't get from nowhere else. Christ is the way; not a way, it's the way. The church is fine; we love them; but the church is not the way. Jesus is the Way. Can't cast your cares upon the church, the church has no salvation. It can only point you to Jesus, Who is the only Salvation. He is the Way, the Truth, the Life. The only way to the Father is through Jesus. The only Comforter, the only One Who can--knows how to care for us, for we can't even care for one another.

*AND THE CHURCH IS THE LIFE OF GOD ON EARTH, AND HE WANTS TO COMFORT HIS CHURCH.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

52    And the Church is the Life of God on earth, and He wants to comfort His Church.

And how it would be, if you knowed that wiping the fevered brow of your child would comfort it, and it would refuse, and spit in your face, and reach and get a bottle of whiskey or something to take instead--instead of the touch of the mother's hand or something.

That's what we do when we turn to other remedies. There's many remedies, but one Cure. Christ is the Cure, and the only Cure in this. He cares for us. He loves us, and He wants us to come to Him. God made us that way, that holy thing in us that wants to be comforted.

HE.CARETH.FOR.YOU_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-14 N-5  TUESDAY_  60-0301

55    God gave man a wife to comfort him, to touch him. And any man knows, that's got a good wife, there's something about a good wife that can... A man be upset in his business or--or his walks of life, and can come home; no matter, there's no one, no doctor...

It is that way with me. When I come from overseas or somewhere, and I'm so nervous and upset, and loss of sleep. And--and hear the cry, and seeing the little hungry children on the street, and, oh, crying and going on, it just kills me. Then when I come home, if wife will set down on the arm of the chair, put her arm around me, and say, "Oh, Bill, I--I understand it, you know."

And just a few little pats from the wife mean so much: same thing, a husband to a wife. That's the way God want it to be. And when we substitute something for that, and you'll get some other woman to try to take that place, or some other man, you see what you do.

*HOW COMFORTABLE IT IS TO SEE THE ONCOMING JUDGMENTS, AND FEEL THAT COMFORT FEELING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

THE.ONCOMING.STORM_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-15 N-2  MONDAY_  60-0229

104    Oh, how comfortable it is to see the oncoming judgments, and feel that comfort feeling of the Holy Spirit. Hear them talk of atomic bombs, and just think what's happened, a peace that passes understanding. Why, the bomb won't no more go out of the gun until we'll be in the Presence of Jesus with Eternal Life; we old people, back young again; the babies, up to an age with no more death or sorrow. Oh, what a wonderful thing. You mean a man would refuse to come out and walk in that? There's something wrong with him.

Finally, if he doesn't get the sunlight, he turns pale. He gets real pale, sick sets in on him.

THE.ONCOMING.STORM_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-15 N-2  MONDAY_  60-0229

106    That's what's the matter with the world today. That's what's the matter with the most of our churches today. We are becoming anemia. We need a blood transfusion. Pale, because we are failing, our spiritual health is failing us. We don't have the zeal no more to hunt souls, to--to warn people, to get our neighbors, to get our friends, the milkman, the paperboy. Whatever it is, get someone to the Lord Jesus. We're pale, failing to walk out in the Light, which is our privilege, failing to believe in the health of God by Divine healing.

*… IT WAS GOD MADE THE PROMISE. AND GOD'S ABLE TO KEEP EVERYTHING HE PROMISED.

THE.STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

43-1    All right. All right, add this to your faith, always putting Him before you, remembering, it was He that promised. Wasn't me promised; wasn't the pastor promised (our Brother Neville); it wasn't some other minister promised; it wasn't some priest or pope, wasn't no man of the earth; it was God made the promise. And God's able to keep everything He promised.

All right. If you've got that kind of faith to know that God promised it... Say, "Brother Branham, I'm sick. I need healing awful bad." Accept it. It's a gift given to you. Yes, sir. If thou canst believe, "Well," you say, "I do believe." Then forget it. That's all. It's all over. See? Have patience.

If you've got patience... If you're not, you're crumbling off this building here. See? It'll knock all the rest of it down, that one thing. You've got to have that. Don't add it, because it'll wreck your building. If you haven't got patience, if you haven't got virtue to add to your faith that you say you've got, and if you haven't got any faith, and try to put virtue on it, it'll break your faith down. So you say, "Well now, wait a minute. Maybe this is all a mistake anyhow. Maybe God isn't God. Maybe there is no God." See, it'll break the thing right in two. See?

*STAY RIGHT THERE UNTIL HE DOES ACCEPT YOU.

GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY_  WEST.PALM.BEACH.FL  TUESDAY_  53-1201

E-19    And then, just by accepting it won't only do, God's got to vindicate back that He has accepted you. That's the thing. You can accept Him, but then if He accepts you. Stay right there until He does accept you. And then when He does, He seals you into His Kingdom by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Then you have, you're secure until the day of redemption. That's right.

"Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you're sealed (until the next revival, no, huh-uh,) until the day of redemption." Is that right? There's no ups-and-downs, ins-and-outs; you really get into God. If you're really in Him, not just impersonating something, but you're really in Christ, you're one alternative, your whole heart's sold out; every bridge is burnt behind you; and you got your affections set on things which are above; and you run the race with patience that's set before you. Amen.

*FAITH WAITS WITH PATIENCE FOR THE PROMISED WORD TO BE FULFILLED.

I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_  SHREVEPORT.LA  V-7 N-3  SATURDAY_  65-1127E

44      Job, let's take a little of his life. Job was a prophet. He was a man that lived back before the Bible was written. It's been thought that Job was one of the oldest Books of the Bible, because It was written before Genesis was written. Job, this great warrior and prophet, was a--a mighty man in his day. No doubt that he had been brought up and had served the Lord all of his life. And had lived such a gallant life to the people, all had respects for him.

45    But he'd come to a place to where he calls it here, being tempted of the Lord. But I'd like to use the word, being "tested" by the Lord. And truly, "Every son that cometh to God must first be tested, tried, child-trained." And then if the testing gets hard, and we think it's too hard and won't listen (take heed), then He said we "become a illegitimate child, and not a child of God." Because, there's nothing can move a real, borned-again child of God away from his Parent, see, he's part of Him. You can no more deny it, you deny yourself. See, you've had the experience, you've been trained and tested.

48    And, now, we find out his life and trials, and his great faith. Even Jesus, when He came on the earth, He referred to the patience of Job. He said, "Have you not read of the patience of Job?" Faith waits with patience for the promised Word to be fulfilled.

49      Now, we notice here that Job, after he went through his trials, all of his afflictions... He had a lovely family, they were taken from him. He had good health, it was taken from him. Everything that he owned in this life was taken. And he set on a ashheap, with a piece of crock, scraping his boils. And even to his own wife, spoke against him, she said, "Why not curse God, and die?"

50    He said, "Thou speakest like a foolish woman." He said, "The Lord gave, and the Lord taken away, blessed be the Name of the Lord!"

*THE YOKE THAT YOU'RE YOKED WITH WITH CHRIST DOESN'T CHAFF YOUR NECKS ANY MORE. IT ISN'T A BURDEN TO BEAR...IT'S LIGHT.

WHY.SOME.PEOPLE.CAN'T.KEEP.THE.VICTORY_OAKLAND.CA  SUNDAY_  57-0324

E-62    Then you know what? The yoke that you're yoked with with Christ doesn't chaff your necks any more. It isn't a burden to bear. Then you just go on... It's all got feathers on it then. It's light. The burdens are few. And you know what you do with it. When somebody turns over, say, "Hey, wasn't you down to that holy-roller meeting? I thought I seen you go up there."

"Well, m-m-m-m, I'll tell you..." See? It--it kind of chafes you a little bit because the mainspring's not working. That's right. But when the mainspring goes to working... When that person says, "I heared, Liddy, you become a holy-roller. So you're not going to join our little cigarette party any more."

Now, if you haven't got the Mainspring, you say, "John, I'll tell you. I throwed away them old cigarettes. I knew it. I heard on the radio, that..."

Amen.

How He child trained him for twenty-five years. You know, God trains every child that comes to Him.

Heb 10:36  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Jas 1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Jas 1:3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Jas 1:4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Joh 14:11  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Psa 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

*STAY WITH GOD'S WORD, AND GOD WILL OPEN UP THE WAY, BECAUSE HE IS THE WAY.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

126    Someone said to me once, "Brother Branham, aren't you afraid when you go to the pulpit there, and are called to a showdown? Aren't you afraid sometimes, standing in that line, there'll be a mistake?" No, sir.

I'm not afraid, because I solemnly rest upon His Word, "I'll be with you," when He said to me that night, "No man shall stand before you, all the days of your life," He said. "I'll be with you." And He's cut off every enemy. He's stood by me when I wasn't deserving to be stood by. But because He promised it, because of His grace, I've rested solemnly upon that Word. Why? Because He promised it. He promised it; He's able to keep what He has promised. That's right.

Moses knew that. "How you going to cross the sea?"

Moses said, "I don't know, but He promised that He would be with me."

So don't never cross the bridge till you get to it. Stay with God's Word, and God will open up the way, because He is the Way. Yes. Moses was comforted by the Word that God spoke to Him.

*ALL THESE GREAT HEROES ….., WE KNOW THAT THEY WAS COMFORTED BY GOD'S WORD.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

150    Now, all these great heroes (Which I got many of them wrote down here, but to save time...), we know that they was comforted by God's Word. Here's what they did. They looked back, like. One would look back and see what the other one kept the Word and was comforted, and come out. And then this other one, he looked back and seen what he did, so he followed the Word and come out, was comforted, knowing he had God's promise. The next come along; he felt the Spirit on him, and knowed; so he followed God's Word, had the comfort he did. Each one of them following God's Word, that was a comfort.

*THAT WORD OF GOD WAS MADE FLESH, THE COMFORTER.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

151    Oh, brother, listen to this now. One day that Word was made flesh. That's it. That Word was made flesh in the form of a Man. The Word of God, that brought comfort, was made a Man here among us. We could handle the Word of God in our hands. We could shake hands with the Word of God. He was the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us." That Word of God was made flesh, the Comforter. He lived here on earth. We see that He was the Word. He acted like God. He looked like God. He preached like God. He healed like God. He was God; in every manner He was God. He talked like the Word; He looked like the Word. He preached like the Word. He was the Word. Amen.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

152    Oh, what a comfort it would've been to sit down by Him. Wouldn't you have loved to have done that? You say, "Oh, sure I would, Brother Branham." Just a moment. Why, I would've run to Him, set down by His side, when He was here on earth.

There never was a man that could ever stood on His shoe leather, could ever stood in the earth, and said, "I am the Resurrection and Life," at the grave of Lazarus. "He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." Oh, my. Who was that? What was that? That was the Word. He was the Word. No wonder He could stand there and rub the tears out of His eyes, as a Man, and could speak to a man that was dead, four days in the grave, and said, "Lazarus, come forth." What was that? That was the Word. Amen. That was the Word in action. He was the Word. That was the Word that came to the prophets. That was. Each one of the prophets foretold Him.

*… WHEN THE FUNERAL PROCESSION; AND HER ONLY SON, A CORPSE, EMBALMED, GOING TO THE GRAVE, BUT THAT CORPSE COME IN CONTACT WITH THE WORD. THOUGH A CORPSE, YET HE LIVED.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

154    Said Stephen to the Sanhedrin court, "Which one of your fathers hasn't persecuted them that saw Him coming, saw the Just One before, that told He would come? Which one of your fathers didn't persecute him? Now, you've took the Prince of Life, and has slain Him." Oh, my. "You took the Word of Life, for He was the Word."

There He is; the Word was among them. They seen Him walk to the grave of the dead. They saw Him stop the woman of Nain down there, when the funeral procession; and her only son, a corpse, embalmed, going to the grave, but that corpse come in contact with the Word. Though a corpse, yet he lived.

"Though he were dead, yet shall he live." A corpse came to life, because it come in contact with the Word. Oh, what It'll do when in contact with that Word. That's the comfort.

*BUT THEN LOOK WHAT A PROMISE HE MADE. "I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU COMFORTLESS. I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU COMFORTLESS.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

163    What a comfort to those Galileans. How they believed Him, how they loved Him. Now, one day they seen Him go to Calvary. They heard Him saying, "A little while, and the world seeth Me no more. Oh, I'm... The Son of man, must go up to Jerusalem, and be put into the hands of sinful men, crucified, die." How could they stand it? Their hearts was broken. They were depressed. There... They was all in gloom. How could they ever give Him up? Because the word that the prophets had spoken, the words that the sages, and all the great holy men back to the end, in the beginning of the world, had spoke of that Word, and here It was among them.

But then look what a promise He made. "I will not leave you comfortless. I will not leave you comfortless. I'll pray the Father, and He'll send you another Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, and He will abide with you forever; even the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive, because it knoweth Him not. It seeth Him not, now, neither does it know Him--knows Him. But you know Him. You know Him because He is with you, and He shall be in you."

*…IF WE DON'T COMPROMISE THAT WORD, WE STAY RIGHT WITH IT, IF WE DON'T COMPROMISE IT, THAT SAME WORD LIVING IN YOU WILL PRODUCE THE SAME THING THAT IT DID WHEN HE WAS MADE FLESH…

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

165    There It is. And how long's He going to abide? Forever. Then what is the Word of God? What is our comfort today? It's when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the power of the living God living in us. And that's with the Word of the living God, we stand; that Word's made flesh and dwelt among us. Now, that same Word that was made flesh and dwelt among us has become our flesh. "He is with you now, but He shall be in you." Now, that same Word that the prophet spoke, that same Word that was made flesh, that same Word dwells in the Church. Therefore, if we don't compromise that Word, we stay right with It, if we don't compromise It, that same Word living in you will produce the same thing that It did when He was made flesh, because your flesh holds It.

That's the reason visions can break through the sound barrier. That's the reason a vision can break through time barriers and say, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, it shall be so-and-so." And that's the way it is. What is it? It's the Word coming forth from a Spirit.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

167    You do not see me; you see my body. You don't see me. I don't see you, because I only see your body. This is my hand, but who is me that owns the hand? This is my body, but who is me? It's a spirit.

And if I'm born again, if you are born again, it's God's Holy Spirit, God's Word living in us. And if we compromise upon this Word, and say that we have the Spirit of God, how can we claim to have God's Spirit? When God's Spirit testifies of His Own Word, He'll never move an inch from It, no matter what denominations says. How's He going to move from It, when It's His Own Word?

*…WHEN IT MOVES INTO A CHURCH THAT'S BORNED AGAIN, IT'LL COME WITH THE POWER AND DEMONSTRATION OF ITS BEING: GOD'S WORD, THE COMFORTER IN US, BRINGING FORTH THE EXACT THING.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

169    The promise, "I'll be with you: the Comforter." He said, "I'll send the Comforter."

…..And when It comes again, and when It moves into a Church that's borned again, It'll come with the power and demonstration of Its Being: God's Word, the Comforter in us, bringing forth the exact thing.

*LET THE WORD COME IN YOU, MADE FLESH BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST, AND TAKE OVER YOUR FLESH AND CONTROL YOU, TESTIFY THROUGH YOU, THE WORKS AND THE MIGHTY POWERS OF THE LIVING GOD.

THE.COMFORTER_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-5  SUNDAY_  61-1001E

177    Don't shut yourself up in the cells of some organization, like a cellar somewhere of unbelief to deny God's Word. I don't care what any bishop or anything says. Let the Word come in you, made flesh by the power of the Holy Ghost, and take over your flesh and control you, testify through you, the works and the mighty powers of the living God. That's right. No matter what the churches says. Those denominations only put you in the cellar, and you're hiding himself from the blessed Sunlight. I know that to be the truth. Do you want to stay in the cellar? Nobody does. Don't get in that cellar. Come out in the Sunlight. Come out where the Word, you can take the Word and believe the Word, and the Word will manifest Itself to you, and manifest Itself through you; manifest His Word, bringing to pass...
