24-1004A_THE MESSAGE OF GRACE PT-12 (LIFE VINE OF HIS CHURCH)

Psa 80:1  To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. 

Psa 80:2  Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. 

Psa 80:3  Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 

Psa 80:4  O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? 

Psa 80:5  Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. 

Psa 80:6  Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. 

Psa 80:7  Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 

Psa 80:8  Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. 

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 

Psa 1:2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 

Psa 1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 

Joh 15:1  I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 

Joh 15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 

Joh 15:3  Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 

Joh 15:4  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 

Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 

Col 1:5  For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 

Col 1:6  Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

E-34    …..We fail to see the power that God has placed in His people. God is in His people. You believe that? God was with His people one time, when He walked on earth. But now, God is in His people. "A little while, the world sees Me no more, yet you'll see Me, for I (personal pronoun, now) will be with and in you to the end of the world."

God dwells, moves, works in mankind. Hallelujah. God doesn't work through orders. He doesn't work through organizations. He works through individuals. God works in man. God doesn't do the work today. He energizes or projects His Spirit into men to do so. He said, "I am the Vine." The vine don't bear fruit. "Ye are the branches."
 
*AND WHEN HE WENT AWAY, HIS WORKS WAS TO BE CARRIED ON IN HIS CHURCH UNTIL HE RETURNED.

E-89    And when He went away, His works was to be carried on in His church until He returned. Is that right? He said, "We are the vine... We are the branches; He is the Vine." Is that right? Saint John 15th chapter: "I am the Vine; ye are the branches." And every branch that bringeth forth fruit is pruned, and fixed up, and purged so it'll bring more. But the branch that doesn't bear fruit is plucked off.

Now, the branches is the one that bears fruit, not the vine. So we, the church, is left as the branches. So your eyes and my eyes is the only eyes that God has on the earth. Your lips and my lips is His--is His branch. He energizes it to bring forth fruit. And our ears is His ears. Our hands to do good is His hands. Our feet are His feet to carry us to church and to do good. "Blessed are the feet that bring--beareth good tidings." And all--all such. We are His vine. And He just pours His energy into us.

  E-90    Now, there's five gifts that's set into the church: apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, pastors. That's the branches. And God pours His energy into that, some of them to preach, some of them to be evangelists, some to be pastors, teachers, seer. And apostles are missionaries, either one, it's both the same, same word.
 
*THE VINE DOESN'T BEAR FRUIT, BUT IT ENERGIZES THE BRANCH TO BEAR FRUIT.

E-43    Faith cometh by hearing. Then God has set in the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors, all for the perfection of the saints. Now, if He can get a hold of your heart, then He can work His works. But as long as you can get yourself out of the way, as long as you can relax yourself, and let the Holy Spirit take over... He said, "I am the Vine, ye are the branches." And the--the branch doesn't--the vine doesn't bear fruit, but it energizes the branch to bear fruit.

Now, what kind of a fruit would it bear? The kind of life that was in the vine. Well, that's the same thing the church does. Today, if you want to get--if you want to get grapes, you go to a grape vineyard. If you want to get pumpkins, you go to a pumpkin vine. But the thing today, people comes to churches and find a dry, cut theology, no Spirit at all. What we need today, is a revival of the Spirit of God among us to bring us back the true and living God.
 
*AND IF THE CHURCH IS REALLY ANCHORED IN CHRIST, EVERY CHURCH WILL WRITE A BOOK OF ACTS BEHIND IT.

E-40    The Bible said that "No man can call Jesus the Christ only by the Holy Ghost." If you've never received the Holy Ghost, you don't know that He's the Christ yet. Remember that. You're only walking towards that light.

You can say, "My pastor said so." That's true. "My Bible said so." That's true. "My mother said so." That's truth. "My church believes it's the Holy Ghost." That's true, but what about you? As an individual, you don't know until you've received It. And when you receive the Holy Ghost, then you are a witness that He's alive forever more. Now, the Holy Ghost is within you; now, and then you watch Him as He works. If the Life of Christ is in you, it will produce His Life in you.
"The works that I do shall you do also." The same works, because it's the same life.

If the life in a watermelon vine produces a watermelon, well, it'll... The next branch that comes out, it'll produce another watermelon; every time it'll be a watermelon. And if the church is really anchored in Christ, every church will write a book of Acts behind it. That's exactly right, because the first one wrote a book of Acts behind it. So, there we are.
 
*…..THEN IF THE LIFE OF CHRIST BE IN US, IT'LL BRING HIS SPIRIT AND HIS WORKS.

  E-111    Now, if Jesus Christ is the Vine, and His life... Now remember, His... The vine does not bear fruit; the branch bears fruit, but it's energized by the vine. Is that right? Well, then if the Life of Christ be in us, it'll bring His Spirit and His works. Is that right? It's got to, because it's the Vine of God. Now...

Now, watch this Angel of the Lord. We know that that's true. Now, watch what kind of a nature It has. It bears the same fruit that It did when It was here on earth. Now, It's back in the church, bearing forth the same fruit, making another Pentecostal church, just exactly the way It did the first time. Now, that church sealed their testimony with their blood. They were godly people; they loved God; they stayed with it.
 
*GOD HAD THAT LITTLE GERM OF LIFE HID SOMEWHERE SO HE COULD LIVE AGAIN, BECAUSE IT'S IN--IN GOD'S WILL. IT'S GOD'S PLANT.

E-23    …..God had that little germ of life hid somewhere so he could live again, because it's in--in God's will. It's God's plant. God put it here for a purpose, and it doesn't fuss or stew. It just serves the purpose that God put it here for. And if we'll just do the same, serve the purpose that God put us here for. Not to just to mean, we got to raise hogs, and that's all right. We got to do this, that, or other, but He put us here to be sons and daughters of God To glorify Him, and to praise Him like the little flower.
 
*YOU CANNOT BEAR FRUIT IN YOURSELF, BUT I THROW MY OWNSELF INTO THE BRANCH."

115    Jesus said, "I am the Vine; ye are the branches. You cannot bear fruit in yourself, but I throw My Ownself into the branch." And what kind of a fruit did it bear? "These signs shall follow them that believe."

The second church rises up, the mystical Body of Christ will have the same signs. "Yet a little while and the world seeth Me no more. Yet ye shall see Me, for I will be with you, even in you, in every branch to the end of the world," Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. That's the church of the living God. That's Who it is. That's the kind of a witnesses He has.
 
*IF THE VINE EVER PUTS FORTH ANOTHER BRANCH, IT'LL BE THE SAME KIND OF BRANCH THAT ACTS WAS WROTE ON… BECAUSE THAT'S KIND OF THE CHURCH THEY HAD AT THE BEGINNING.

It wasn't so at the beginning. Never joined no church at all at the beginning. They were borned into the Church at the beginning, and if that... That's right.

  E-47    You're born into it, and if this Vine ever puts forth another branch, it'll be like a branch... If the Vine ever puts forth another branch, it'll be the same kind of branch that Acts was wrote on. It'll have the same doctrine. It'll have the same power. It'll show the same signs, because that's kind of the Church they had at the beginning.

Let's stop hybreeding ourselves. Let's go back to the Word like it was at the beginning. You like that? I live on that.
 
*BUT THE REAL TREE ITSELF IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT BRINGS FORTH A BORNED AGAIN MAN, A BORNED AGAIN WOMAN, A POWER OF THE RESURRECTION LIVING IN THEM.

E-79    …..But what is it? What was that--what--is that... What kind of a fruit does that grafted lemon bring in that orange tree? It don't bring oranges; it brings lemons. And that's what the church does. It brings forth Methodists; it brings forth Baptists; it brings forth Presbyterian. But if that vine itself puts forth a branch, it brings forth oranges. It's original coming out of... But the churches thrive and live and have the favor and life through Christ that's been grafted in there. But the real tree itself is the Holy Spirit that brings forth a borned again man, a borned again woman, a power of the resurrection living in them. See? Amen.
 
*IF THE LIFE OF CHRIST IS IN YOU, IT'LL PRODUCE THE LIFE OF CHRIST

E-80    Wouldn't that be fine if all Christians would get with their own groups, and all Greeks would get together and hold a conference,"What must we do?" You could ask them if they're Christians. Say, "I belong to So-and-So." That don't have on thing to do with it. God don't care that [Brother Branham snaps his fingers--Ed.] about your organization. He wants to know if you're borned again. If you're not borned again, then you're not a Christian. You can only be a Christian when you take the life of Christ in you. If the life of Christ is in you, it'll produce the life of Christ. Could you gather peaches on a watermelon vine? Certainly not.
 
*WHEN THE CHURCH WOULD ASSEMBLE TOGETHER, HE WOULD MAKE HISSELF KNOWN THROUGH THEM.

  E-59    Now, remember. Now, in this last days, notice, not Jesus here on earth in a physical body, but the Spirit of Jesus in human flesh, being the branch to the Vine, would do the same thing in human flesh.

When the Church would assemble together, He would make Hisself known through them. So if He would come into this church tonight and perform that same thing, could we not raise up our hands and thank God, as those Greeks did: "We have seen Jesus." That's what He was. That's what He is, if He's the same yesterday, today and forever. Is that true?
