Luk 2:25  And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 

Luk 2:26  And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 

2Th 3:3  But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 

2Th 3:4  And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. 

2Th 3:5  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 

*BEFORE YOU CAN HAVE EXPECTATION, THERE MUST BE FAITH TO ACCOMPANY THAT EXPECTATION.

Now, I want to take the subject of "Expectation." Now, before you can have expectation, there must be faith to accompany that expectation. And there's only two elements in the world that controls the world tonight, that's fear and faith. Russia's trying to get everybody to fear them, and we're trying to get everybody to have faith in God. That's the difference. That two element controls all nations, controls all people, controls all churches, controls individuals, is fear or faith.

YOU SAY, "WELL, WHAT GOOD WOULD FAITH DO YOU?"

  E-20    Now, fear has no valuation in it, none whatever. It's perfectly endless, it doesn't--it hasn't got one good thing about it. If I was to be shot in the morning, was going to be shot, what good would it do to have fear? What good would it do me? You say, "Well, what good would faith do you?" Faith could deliver me. But fear won't help me a bit. You just get yourself all worked up and more nervous than ever when it comes time for the gun to fire. So let's have faith. Faith could deliver me, but if it doesn't, what good would fear do anyhow? Just stay right with faith and hold on to it. Take God's promise and remain with God.

WE ALWAYS GET WHAT WE EXPECT.

…13   We always get what we expect. When people expect anything, well then they usually get what you look for. It's the mental attitude that you have.

Remember this, and never forget it. The right mental attitude towards any promise of God will bring it to pass, the right mental attitude towards any promise of God.

It doesn't take gifts of healing to heal sick people, any person in here has a right to meet Satan anywhere, if you're a Christian, and defeat him on any grounds that he could stand on.

  E-14    Saint John 5:1, He passed by the pool of Bethesda, and there was great multitudes of lame, halt, blind, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. And when the waters would be troubled, then the first person stepping into the water, by faith, received healing. They had to believe it. And then, the virtue of the Angel went into the person, they were healed. And then the people waited for another season, maybe a week or two, month or two. And they laid there, great multitudes of people.

Jesus passing by here seen a man, not crippled, but with an infirmity for thirty and eight years. And He said, "Would thou be made whole?"

And he said, "I have no one to put me in the water."

*YOU WANT TO HAVE AN EXPECTATION ALL THE WAY FROM HEART, SOUL, BODY, AND MIND, THAT GOD IS GOING TO GIVE US A GREAT OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Now, you want to have an expectation all the way from heart, soul, body, and mind, that God is going to give us a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Now, I feeled it, that it's near us. And God is willing and ready to give it to us.

  E-58    Now, if you expect, that's what you receive. If you've come to the meeting saying, "Well, I'm going down... I'm just going to--I'm going to find some flaws of that meeting. I'll find some flaws of that preacher. I'll bet you I can." Don't worry, you'll get it. The devil will show you plenty of them. Yes, sir.

You'll go back, say, "Mm, hmm. Just as I expected. That's just the way it was. Uh-huh." Same group found fault with Jesus when He went through the pool of Bethesda and all those cripples laying there, lame, halt, blind, and withered. Passed by every one of them, never healed any of them, went over and healed a man laying on a pallet, walked away. Them Jews, "Uh-huh, now if He's the healer, let Him heal them." See?

  E-59    Just as you expect, that's what you get. But you come to the meeting expecting to see the glory of God moving, the power of God, sinners being saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, sickness being healed, then watch what God shows you. Yes, sir.

See, you are a creator in yourself. If you're... How many's borned-again say, "Amen?" [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Do you know each one of you is a creator? You are a part of God; you're a son of God, an offspring of God, a daughter of God. Is that right? Then you are a creator.

Now, did you ever see people, they were nice people (I ain't saying this for any back now.), nice people but you just couldn't hardly stand to be around them. You know that. Nice people, it's their atmosphere they're in. Then you've seen other people that you just long to be with them, is that right? It's that atmosphere that's around them all the time.

*THAT'S WHAT THE CHURCH TODAY LACKS, IS THE WARNING OF MAKING READY.

I think it--it should be--we should all be warned of the things that's come--coming. That's what the church today lacks, is the warning of making ready. I believe really, the church was in better condition forty years ago for Christ to come than it is today. Forty years... I was speaking on that the other day at the Westward Ho, at the Full Gospel Business Men's Convention, of how that the church in forty years lost ground just like it did in the wilderness. But it's the time now when the old fighters is dead, and we ought to get ourselves together, and get started on for the Kingdom of God, and go over and possess the full blessing. And just as the Lord will lead this week, we'll be speaking on those subjects, in making ready.
