All The Days Of Our Life Part-9
(GOD’S PLACE, PURPOSE & TIME)

Luk 1:73  The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
Luk 1:74  That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Luk 1:75  In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

*WHEN A MAN COME TO GOD, HE HAD A PURPOSE OF DOING IT.

E-14    When you join church, you should first seek out, and find out what that church stands for. Is it just merely a place that the people go together for fellowship, or is it a place that preaches the Word of the living God, and stands for every principle that Jesus died for? You should do that. Just don't float in and go with the tide, because, "Straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leadeth to life, and but few there'll be that'll go there in thereat. Because broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many will there be go in." We've got to have a purpose of something…Now, it wasn't so in days gone by or in this day, that when a man come to God, he had a purpose of doing it. If your purpose is just to drift with that congregation, or is it to look up toward God?

IF HE MADE ME WHAT I AM WITHOUT HAVING A CHOICE, AND YET I WAS MADE IN GOD'S IMAGE AND BROUGHT FORTH

We come what we are without having a choice. If He made me what I am without having a choice, and yet I was made in God's image and brought forth, yet through a sinful act that God permitted to be done, a perverted act by holy wedlock from my father and my mother...And I come on this earth, and I am what I am at my best by God's grace, and without having any choice, how much more can He raise me up in the last days if I make a choice.

*THERE IS NO EVIL CAN COME UNLESS GOD PERMITS IT. AND IT'S FOR YOUR GOOD HE'S WORKING THAT.

36    It's those crucial hours that press us on to those sacred sands. It was in the Bible. And remember, no matter how great the distress is, Satan cannot take your life until God has finished with you. There is nothing can happen to you unless God permits it. There is no evil can come unless God permits it. And it's for your good He's working that.

Let's think, there when the floods came to destroy the world, it could not destroy Noah. Noah could not be destroyed, because that God had a work for him to do.

     I.KNOW_  JEFF.IN  EASTER.MESSAGE.BOOK  SUNDAY_  60-0417S

*AND WHY DOES GOD LET TROUBLES COME?

43    And why does God let troubles come? God harnesses trouble, puts bits in its mouth, and makes it obey Him, and those troubles bring us into a closer fellowship with God.

There had been no rainbow until the flood came. But after Noah was pressed into that condition that he was in, to float forty days and nights in a storm and the little ark pitching up and down in the water, it was after the flood was over that he saw the rainbow for its first time, the covenant of hope, the covenant of promise. After he'd went through the tribulation, then he saw the promise.

*WE ASK FOR COMFORT AND PEACE; GOD GIVES US THE BEST HE COULD GIVE US

We ask for comfort and peace; God gives us the best He could give us: trials and tribulations. That's better than comfort and peace. Our comforts is just beyond the river.

47    It wasn't until the Hebrew children was forced into the fiery furnace, on one of their most outstanding trials, that they seen One like the Son of God stand among them. Their troubles produced the Son of God standing among them in the breezes to wave away the heat wave. But not until they went into the fire did that Comforter appear.

*BUT DANIEL PURPOSED IN HIS HEART, NO MATTER WHAT THEY DID TO HIM, HE WASN'T GOING TO DEFILE HIMSELF WITH THE BABYLONIAN SIN.

E-15    Daniel, when he was taken down into Babylon, though he was going away from his home, and he was going to have to be a slave to another nation of people. But Daniel purposed in his heart, no matter what they did to him, he wasn't going to defile himself with the Babylonian sin.

Oh, if we had more gallant men like that, that would purpose in your heart, "If I am a Christian, I'm going to find out every Divine blessing that belongs to me and claim it. If the Bible teaches that I can receive the Holy Spirit, I'm going to stay on my knees till God gives me the Holy Spirit, and just not drift.“

*BUT DANIEL HAD PURPOSED IN HIS HEART TO DO THE PURPOSE OF GOD.

E-18    It was the purpose of God to show that He had power over the wild beasts of the fields. And they put some lions in a cave one time. And they had starved them until they were so hungry, that they could've tore a pers--a person to pieces just at one great grab.

And the devil thought, "Surely, I'll be able to destroy this prophet, Daniel."But Daniel had purposed in his heart to do the purpose of God. And God had placed that in his heart. Before Daniel could've had this desire, there had to be something to create that desire. Before he could have that faith, there had to be something to tell him that there was a God that could deliver.

*JOB, THAT WHEN HE WAS IN THE DEEPEST OF HIS DISTRESS, WHEN ALL OF HIS RICHES HAD GONE FROM HIM.

E-34    It was our character this morning, Job, that when he was in the deepest of his distress, when all of his riches had gone from him. His children was dead; his body was broke out in boils; and he was in the greatest distress that he was ever in, setting on an ash-heap with the crock scraping the boils and his wife in the door, "Why don't you curse God and die?“

When the members of his church had their backs turned to him for seven days and accusing him, when they ought to have been comforting him... But they were accusing him of being a secret sinner, accusing him of being a backslider. It was in that great hour; it was in that great momentous time, that when God took Job to the sacred sands where He takes every believer, to an experience unto the backside of the desert like He did Moses, until the little secret closet where He took you, until the coal shed where I received it.                           I.KNOW.MY.REDEEMER.LIVETH_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  58-0406S

GOD HAS A PLACE, AND A PURPOSE, AND A TIME.

E-35    God has a place, and a purpose, and a time. And when He had Job in this condition, He had him on the sacred sands. For He was going to reveal something to him that would never go away. Oh, for those sacred sands, He has to take every real child there. He gets you on those places where there's no devil can ever come. There's no teacher can ever explain it away. He gives you something on those sands back there that, an experience that you'll never forget as long as ages roll on.

*EVERY TRUE BELIEVER HAS THAT SPOT WHERE GOD HAS MET HIM.

E-36    No matter how atheotic your mother, your daddy, your husband, wife, your associates may become... Every true believer has that spot where God has met him. There isn't one left out. Every believer has it. Every person that's borned of the Kingdom of God knows that spot, that minute, that hour, that where God took him. And on those sacred sands in the Presence of the burning bush, He did something to that believer that all the mentality of the world could not destroy. "Upon this rock I'll build My church and the gates of hell shall not destroy it." Upon this rock, the spiritual revelation of the resurrected Jesus; upon this rock.    I.KNOW.MY.REDEEMER.LIVETH_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  58-0406S

EVERY MAN THAT'S CHOSEN OF GOD AND EVERY WOMAN AND CHILD COMES TO THAT SPOT ON THOSE SACRED SANDS

E-38    Oh, what a blessed place to be. Every man that's chosen of God and every woman and child comes to that spot on those sacred sands to where God lifts the curtain, and you see Him in His resurrected power. You know that He lives. And we as Job can cry, "I know my Redeemer liveth. And at the last days He shall stand on the earth. Though the skin worms destroys this body, yet in this flesh shall I see God."

*FOR IF THERE WAS NO HEAVEN TO GO TO, I'D STILL MAKE MY CHOICE TO SERVE THE LORD JESUS.

E-40     [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] What He is, my friend, if He turns me down at that day and tells me, says, "William Branham, you can't come in." And if there is such a thing as having this, and I have to go away to the lower regions of the lost, I--I--I believe that that love that's anchored in my heart will live on, and I'll look up and say, "I love You, Lord Jesus," just the same. For if there was no heaven to go to, I'd still make my choice to serve the Lord Jesus. For even what remunerations there is here on earth from His blessings, I still long to serve Him.

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF GOD LIVING IN HIS CHURCH, MOVING THROUGH EACH AGE, WORKING OUT HIS DIVINE WILL.

Now, here it is. The Father was God over you. We're saying... We've been since Adam, God the Father was over Moses and the children of Israel in a Pillar of Fire, then God with us in Christ, walked with us, talked with us, eat with us, slept with us. God over us, God with us, and now, it's God in us. All God was, come into Christ; all Christ was, come into the church. What is it? God working in you. Anywhere in the world, if He'd want to call on you, you're right there: working in you to do His good will. How we ought to thank God for that. God the Holy Spirit is sent for the purpose of God living in His church, moving through each age, working out His Divine will.

*AND IF YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT YOUR PLACE IS IN THE PLAN OF GOD, EVEN THOUGH YOU BE SICK AND NEARLY DEAD...

E-31    And if you can find out what your place is in the plan of God, even though you be sick and nearly dead... You say, "I'm a Christian. How could that be in the plan of God?" It might be in God's plan to heal you and give you a testimony that will shake souls to the Kingdom of God. Certainly. He lets those things happen. Maybe you had your ups-and-downs and the enemy scorching you from side-to-side. It might have been that way. That's all in the plan of God.

Look at Job, when he was afflicted, sores all over him. It was all in the plan of God. But Job too, was perseverant because he knowed that he was keeping God's Word. Nothing was going to bother him.     PERSEVERANCE_  CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  62-0520

*THE WORK AND THE COMPLETE PLAN OF GOD, EVERY REDEMPTIVE BLESSING WAS COMPLETED AT CALVARY…

E-13    Now, all redemptive blessings to us, the human race, was paid for, for us, at Calvary when Jesus died for us. We believe that the work and the complete plan of God, every redemptive blessing was completed at Calvary, that all of God's promises was made possible to every human being that would accept it, when Jesus died to clear the human before God at Calvary. I believe that every man in the world, was saved when Jesus died at Calvary. Every sick person in the world, was healed when Jesus died at Calvary. But now, it's a finished work.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS IN THE CHURCH FOR, TO KEEP THE CHURCH CLEAN AND READY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD.

E-15    First is apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, pastors, those five God-given gifts in the church. So each of you people, who has a godly pastor, has a gift from God in your church, a shepherd. "Pastor" means "a shepherd," to watch over the flock, to teach them the Word of God.

Then these other nine different spiritual gifts should be operating in the church to keep the church clean. Like the Ananias and Sapphiras and so forth, the Spirit of God rise up and call somebody out and tell them they're living wrong, and--and rebuke that sin openly, and that's what the Holy Spirit is in the church for, to keep the church clean and ready for the coming of the Lord. We believe that.         WHAT.IT.TAKES.TO.OVERCOME.ALL.UNBELIEF.OUR.FAITH_  YAKIMA.WA  FRIDAY_  60-0729

21-0611A_All The Days Of Your Life Pt-7 (DIVINE PLAN & PURPOSE OF GOD)

All The Days Of Our Life

Part-7

(DIVINE PLAN & PURPOSE OF GOD)

Luk 1:73  The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

Luk 1:74  That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

Luk 1:75  In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Col 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Col 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Col 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Eph 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Eph 1:4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph 1:5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Eph 1:6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Eph 1:8  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Eph 1:9  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

Eph 1:10  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Eph 1:12  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Eph 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 1:14  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Eph 1:15  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Eph 1:16  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

Eph 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Eph 1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Eph 1:20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Eph 1:22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Eph 1:23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

MY WHOLE LIFE MUST BE BROUGHT INTO HIS PURPOSE AND TO HIS PROGRAM. EACH OF US IS THAT WAY.

E-29    Then what should we be this morning? We are the children of His promise. We, being dead in Christ, we're Abraham's seed and are heirs with him with the promise.

Then no matter how much sickness comes, how kind of a death we die, how much poverty we go through, God's purpose cannot be defeated. He will raise us up again. "Because I live, ye shall live also." That's our hope.

      I.KNOW.MY.REDEEMER.LIVETH_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  58-0406S

E-30    And I know today, being my birthday, that I'm getting to be an old man. I looked at myself in the glass, and I see that that little boy that built this tabernacle is not that little boy any more. He's becoming an aged man, stooping shoulders, the beard turning gray, the hair going out. But nothing can defeat the purpose of God; nothing can. Therefore, I rest assured upon the promise, "Because I live, ye shall live also."

I join with Job of old, "I know my Redeemer liveth. And at the last day He will stand on the earth." It's a purpose that God has. I must serve this purpose. My whole life must be brought into His purpose and to His program. Each of us is that way.

God has a purpose to where, old Abraham could--could endure a-seeing Him Who is invisible because it was a purpose of God that he knowed, that God gave him the Promise.

It--no matter how contrary everything seemed, God gave Abraham that promise. So God fulfilled His promise. He did to Abraham. He did to all of His children and He will keep His promise.

Now, the thing to do is, can we get the people to see it and accept it. Therefore, Divine healing doesn't lay upon some magic something, that someone has in their hands, or some holy oil, or water that they sprinkle on the people. I do not believe in those things. I--I believe that the Blood of Jesus Christ is sufficient for every thing we have need of. See? And I believe it's something has already been paid for.

E-14    Now, the initial and original way to receive any redemptive blessing is by hearing the Word of God, because faith cometh by hearing, hearing the Word of God, like the ministers preach. If that were you and I, that would be sufficient. If the people didn't want to believe us, why we just let them go on. But God is so good, and so full of mercy, till after all that He sent His Word, then He sent gifts into the church.

We all believe that. I Corinthians 12, there is nine spiritual gifts in the church. That's in every local body, or should be in every local body, the gifts of healing, the gift of wisdom, the gifts of knowledge, the gift of a--a all these other gifts is in the church. Nine different spiritual gifts is in every local body.

Then God has gifts that He has foreknown for each age and has placed them into the church. Now, we find out there's five of those gifts. The first of them is missionaries or apostles. The word "apostle" means "one sent." The word "missionary" means "one sent." A missionary is sent, and apostle is sent. God sends His missionary; God sends His apostles.

   …..

E-41    Now, here He's more willing to do it, than you are to receive it. See? Could you imagine Brother Bosworth expressing to this ocean out here piled up in one tube about two foot high, or two foot across? What a pressure there would be trying to find one little crevice to leak through. Now, divide that by ten thousand times, and you'll find the pressure of the Holy Spirit, trying to find that little crevice in the heart, that true faith can leak into there and to heal you. How to glorify the Father for the death of the Son of God...

     AT.THY.WORD_  NEW.YORK.NY  FRIDAY_  51-0928

BUT WE WHO ARE BOND SLAVES TO JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE SLAVES OF JOY.

E-30    And that was so at the beginning, and it's so now. Because he was deceived by trying to sew fig leaves together to make hisself a way, and reject God's way. And that's what he's still doing: sewing his creeds together, and making this and that, and big churches and places to try to deceive man by. The Bible said he would do it: "Have a form of godliness and deny the power thereof..." So you see, it's... You've got to be a slave one way or the other.

But we who are bond slaves to Jesus Christ, we are slaves of joy. I'm so glad that I got shackles on me, that shackles me away from the things of the world, that I could become a slave to Jesus Christ, to serve Him in love. And you, my brethren and sisters, who are like precious faith, who's been borned of the Holy Ghost, that's had the Blood of Jesus Christ to sanctify and cleanse you from all the filth of the world, that die daily to the flesh, crucify it, putting it away, and becoming a slave to your own body to serve God, we look for a City to come. Blessed be the Lord.

AND IT'LL NOT BE SLAVERY ANY MORE, BUT WE'LL BE IN THE ARMS OF HIM, AND IN THE CARE OF HIM

E-31    We are looking for a City whose Builder and Maker is God. When this old robe of flesh we'll drop and rise and seize the everlasting prize, and shout while passing through the air, "Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer." That's what we look for. We look for the day that when we'll be delivered from this old body of corruption. And it'll not be slavery any more, but we'll be in the arms of Him, and in the care of Him, and in the image of Him Who loved us and gave His life for us, that He might wash us by the Waters through the Word to make us presentable in the Presence of God. His presence goes with us; the Angels of God are encamped about those who fear Him.

And we know that He's here tonight. And if we, all the days of our life, we serve Him in holiness, but we're slaves to Him. If you haven't become a slave to God yet, to Christ, a bond slave in His love, let us bow our heads, and you think it over just a minute.

IT'S A PLEASURE TO SERVE THE LORD JESUS, TO COME INTO HIS COURTS WITH THANKSGIVING, TO MAKE KNOWN HIS-- HIS BLESSINGS TO THE PEOPLE.

E-2    It's a pleasure to serve the Lord Jesus, to come into His courts with thanksgiving, to make known His--His blessings to the people. And I don't think there's anything greater to talk about in the world today, than Jesus Christ. Do you think so? Someone said, not long ago, said, "Brother Branham, you brag too much on Jesus." I don't think so. I think He's worthy of everything I could say about Him. I just can't say enough about Him, for I know that He's worthy of everything that I would say. And I praise Him. We... And pray to Him. Love Him. We just can't love Him enough.

21-0604A_All The Days Of Our Life Pt-6 (PURPOSE AND GOODNESS OF GOD)

All The Days Of Our Life Pt-6
(PURPOSE AND GOODNESS OF GOD)

Luk 1:73  The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

Luk 1:74  That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

Luk 1:75  In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

BUT LOOK AT THE GOODNESS OF GOD. HE SENDS SOMETHING ELSE. THEN HE SENDS HIS SERVANTS, PROPHETS AND SO FORTH… AND VINDICATES HISSELF AMONGST HIS PEOPLE BY BLESSINGS, AND POWERS…

E-35    Now, I want you to be just as reverent as you can. Now, I want to ask you this vital question right now. If Jesus Christ was here, wearing this suit that He give me, and standing with my shoes that He gave me, He couldn't do no more for you than what He's doing right now. For His... When He was here on earth, He already with His Blood, purchased your healing and asked you to believe it. Is that right? All He can do. See, He can't heal you twice. He's done healed you once, so He can't do the same thing twice. He healed all your diseases when He died.

Now, the only thing that I, or any other minister could do, would be point you to that all sufficient Sacrifice. Is that right? A minister can teach it out of the Word and say, "Here it is." Then after that, that ought to enough, oughn't it?But look at the goodness of God. He sends something else. Then He sends His servants, prophets and so forth and with the discernment of spirit, and so forth. And--and vindicates Hisself amongst His people by blessings, and powers, and--and resurrection powers, and by His great works.

A.TESTIMONY_  CONNERSVILLE.IN  SUNDAY_  53-0607E

I LIKE TO GO PLUMB OVER MY HEAD, DON'T YOU? JUST GET OUT THERE TO WHERE YOU CAN SWIM IN IT. THE GOODNESS OF GOD…

E-41    Right in the desert, right in the midst of the sand where there's not a drop of water anywhere, the prophet said, "Start digging."

And right in the place where you think it's the worst, there's where God's asked you to start digging. May be right in your own home; start digging. May be right in your own church; start digging.

After while, I can see one of them hit a great big old tin can down there. "What is this?" That's old sister so-and-so says, "There is no such a thing as divine healing?" Kick it out; make room for water. Keep on digging.

After while, you hit an old greasy skillet down there. That might be the pastor; kick it out. Don't believe in Divine healing, the power of God. Get room in there so you can get some more water. The deeper you dig, the more water you'll have. Get all the old doubt and unbelief and things away from you, that when the shower begins to come down through the valley, you'll get a big portion of it.You just got a little well like that, that's all you can have.

E-42    I like to go plumb over my head, don't you? Just get out there to where you can swim in it. The goodness of God... Get all the old kettles and things out of the way and... Some of you people say, "Well, now, if I get saved, what will I have to do?"

Well, you got saved, went over and got the Holy Spirit; the first thing you know you dug down and say, "Ten percent in the church." Oh, my. Throw it out of the way. Get room for more water; just keep on digging. Make a big well, where God can really baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fix you right.

REALIZE THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

Oh, it's simple. But if you only knowed the blessings that you possess comes from the hand of God: the clothes that you wear, the food that you eat.

If you'd once mission those fields and see those little babies with their little bellies all swelled up, laying on the street, dying with hunger, and you rake off enough in the garbage can to feed them, you'd get on your knees and say, "Oh, God, I've been so cruel."Realize the goodness of God.

How many people, that would be in hell tonight, that's set in these seats where you're setting, that would give anything if they could take their seat back again tonight and have the opportunity to come.

THE GOODNESS OF GOD, WE JUST TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.

E-25    The goodness of God, we just take it for granted. He's so good to come to us in this last dayswhen denominations, and great moves against God, and all kinds of mechanical devicities, and everything of entertainmentto take the place of the church. All kinds of entertainment, and yet they turn their back on Christ. And yet He comes to us in His goodness to reveal Himself to us as the same yesterday, today, and forever.

It's beyond anything. As those dear people sung awhile ago, it goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell to know His goodness, standing knocking, trying to get in. Think of it just a moment as we bow our heads for prayer.

E-26    Are you guilty of eating good food, enjoying good sight, wearing good clothes, driving a good car, living in a great nation, going to a--a good school, and all the blessings that we are enjoying, and yet you've never looked up to see where they come from? Are you guilty?

Won't you tonight, while He's knocking at your door, do just enough to reach up with your right hand, and say, "Lord, I now un--open the door. Come in, O King of glory, and save me and open up the doors of my heart. I do my door of faith, my door of pride, my door of indifference, my door of selfishness. All the doors of my heart I swing open to You, oh, Lord Jesus, Who is standing present now." Will you do it by just raising up your hand while everybody's praying? God bless you, all over the church. There's many hands. I can't count them all. But God sees every one.

All The Days Of Our Life Pt-6

(PURPOSE AND GOODNESS OF GOD)

UNTIL YOU BECOME A SON OF GOD, YOU FAIL TO ANSWER THE PURPOSE THAT GOD PUT YOU ON THE EARTH TO BE.

No, matter how honest, how decent, how moral you might be, how good you might be, what a fine sociable fellow you might be; you still miss the calling unless you serve the Lord Jesus and become a son and daughter of God. No, matter how good a neighbor you might be, how good a anything you may be, that's all good and we appreciate that. But my brother, until you become a son of God, you fail to answer the purpose that God put you on the earth to be. That's right.

WHEN WE COME TO CHURCH- WE OUGHT TO LAY ASIDE EVERY THOUGHT, EVERY THING OF THE WORLD…

E-16    Oh, if we didn't have so many other things on our mind. You know, sometimes we'll come to church, thinking about, "Tomorrow I gotta do this; the next day, I've got to do this." When we come to church, we ought to lay aside every thought and every thing of the world, and enter into fellowship with Christ and worship: meditating, worshipping in our hearts, and giving songs and praises to Him, thinking of His goodness, and what He means to us, worshipping in the Spirit, singing spiritual songs, making melodies in our heart. Even the Bible said, "If there's any afflicted, let them sing songs." Be happy; be in meditation, always expecting God at any moment to appear to you…

SERVE THE LORD FOR ONE PURPOSE, BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM

E-27    Now, Daniel said, "I'm going to purpose in my heart. No matter how much pressure they put on me, how much they laugh and say I'm a holy-roller, that won't bother me a bit. That won't phase me one bit. I'm going to stay true to God no matter what comes through bad." That's the way. Then you're going to get somewhere when you start with that attitude.

Remember, it's the motive that you have towards anything that determines what you're going to get out of it. It's your motives. If your motives is right, you'll be all right. But always make your motives right. Serve the Lord for one purpose, because you love Him, not because you're afraid of hell, not because you're afraid of dying, but because you love Him, Who loved you when you were unlovable. That's it. THE.HANDWRITING.ON.THE.WALL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  56-0902

WE WANT TO KNOW THAT IT'S ALL THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

So now, we--we want to know that it's all the goodness of God. And as our gracious brother Oral Roberts has well placed it, "God is a good God." He certainly is. And now, we know He's a good God, but we don't want to depend too much on that. Remember, He's a God of justice too. Because His holiness makes Him justice, and His laws must be met, His requirements. And so then, if He is a good God, He has to be good.

E-5    Many times we get mixed up on what goodness is. We get mixed up on what sympathy is, compassion. Watch this just a moment for compassion. How many believes that Jesus Christ was compassion? Why, certainly He was.

Now, He went down to the pool of Bethesda, and there laid multitudes. It takes two thousand to make one multitude. So there was multitudes of people laying there, lame, blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. And Jesus looked around through that multitudes of people until He found a man that was, well, he wasn't crippled. He said, "When I'm going down to the pool, somebody steps in ahead of me."

He... His disease, he'd had it for thirty-eight years; it wasn't going to kill him. It was retarded, perhaps TB, or prostate trouble, or something. And he was laying on a pallet. And Jesus made him whole, and walked away, and left that great mass of people withered, and halt, and lame, and blind (Is that right?), and yet had compassion, a compassionate Saviour.

E-6    Did you notice what He said when they asked Him about it in the 19th verse? He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise."

Compassionate is to do the will of God. And that's what real Christian compassionate is, is do the will of God. We mix it all up today. We try to put the human element to it.
