24-0805P_ACCEPTING GOD'S PROVIDED WAY AT THE END-TIME PT-3

Gen 22:7  And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 

Gen 22:8  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. 

Gen 22:9  And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 

Gen 22:10  And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 

Gen 22:11  And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 

Gen 22:12  And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 

Gen 22:13  And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 

Gen 22:14  And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Joh 12:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 

Joh 12:25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 

Joh 12:26  If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. 

Joh 12:27  Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

E-10    Now, a righteous man is not a sinless man. For you notice he said, "Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are." He had his ups-and-downs and his differences. And the Scripture of his life proves that he had his ups-and-downs like we do. And he had his times of wondering and his times that his temper got away from him, and he had a lot of things, that went wrong. But he was still a righteous man, because he confessed his unworthiness and believed in God. So that's what made him righteous.

We're not righteous within ourselves; we're righteous through Jesus Christ. I cannot be sanctified within myself; I am sanctified through Jesus Christ Who stands in the--in the Presence of God in my place. It isn't my holiness; it's His holiness. My holiness won't work at all, but His does. Because God done accepted Him. And in accepting Him He had to accept me, because I'm in Him. Amen. That's what makes it real isn't it. Then we don't have to depend on ourself.

Now, that doesn't make us say we can sin. Brother, if you sin, you're just--you're just away from God. That's all. There's only one thing to do, is confess it and get right with God. As long as you desire to sin, the desire of sin's still in your heart, then it's time to stay down at the altar till that thing's taken out.

Now you will sin. You're bound to sin 'cause you just can't help it, but not willful sin. "He that sins willfully after he receive the knowledge of the truth (See?), there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." But every day you're bound to sin.

*YOU'VE GOT TO FORGET YOUR OWN WAY TO GET IN GOD'S WAY.

  E-11    And you're bound to be backsliding constantly, so it takes a constant prayer to God. Paul said, "I die daily." And if Paul had to die daily, how much more am I going--I'm going to have to stay there dead all the time, if--if Paul had to die daily to stay right with God. And so, we'll all have to do that, just die out to ourself. And that's getting God's way.

Now, there's only two ways of anything: That's the right way and the wrong way. And them ways are your ways and God's way. And you can't be in your way and God's way at the same time. You've got to forget your own way to get in God's way. And you got to get out of your own way to get in God's way. For as long as you're in your own way, you're out of His way. So forsake your way, forsake your thoughts, forsake everything, and just rely one thing, on THUS SAITH THE LORD. That's all. Then you know you're right.

*GOD'S PROVIDED WAY FOR THE HUMAN TO LIVE IS NOT BY YOUR SENSES; IT'S BY HIS WORD.

  E-12    Though you can't see it, none of the senses will say it's right, every one of them will say it's wrong; but you know it's right because God said so. That's what makes it right. Now, that's... His provided way has been His Word; it is His Word. God's provided way for the human to live is not by your senses; it's by His Word.

Now, God put man first in His own image, which was in a image of God. And God is a supernatural Being; He was a supernatural Man. And then He put him in five senses, and none of those five senses declare his heavenly home. Those five senses declare his earthly home. And God give him five senses to contact his earthly home, and not to contact God.

His sense, these--these five senses control the human body, and two senses control the inside man. That's faith and unbelief. And you possess one or the other tonight.

E-13    Now, in the garden of Eden there were two trees. One of them was the tree of knowledge; one was the Tree of Life. And man can never know God by knowledge. So no matter how well you get educated, how smart your pastor is, how many degrees he's taken, you can't... God is not known by education, neither is He known by scientific research; the only way God is known is by faith. No matter if you don't know the difference between split beans and coffee, if you absolutely by faith accept God and... It's bound to be an act of faith.

And when man was eating on this Tree of Life, he had Eternal Life. But when he left that Tree of Life and went on the tree of knowledge, the first bite he took, he separated his fellowship with God, and every time that he bites off of that tree of knowledge, he destroys himself.

 

*EVERY BORNED AGAIN CHRISTIAN HAS A ROAD SET BEFORE YOU. YOU'VE GOT TO FOLLOW THAT ROAD. GOD MARKS IT OUT.

And just like a modern preacher or somebody, if they'd say, "Why, wait a minute here, you're--you're offending the people with your preaching. You--you mustn't do that." Now, a modern preacher would say, "Oh, yes, maybe I'd better watch what the--the--the creed says." See? Maybe I'd better look to see what the church says about it, 'cause they might turn me out."

  95    That wasn't our Lord. Our Lord come to do the will of God. He followed the Word. And anybody with God in him, will follow the same way. Did He stop? No, sir. Yet His--His popularity become decreasing all the time. Many didn't walk with Him no more. They went away from Him. The next chapter, some more turned. And the next chapter, some more turned. Where was He at? On the road to Calvary. But did He ever stop? No, sir. He never compromised with God's Word at all. He led straight on down the highway. He went on the road map. He... There was a road set before Him; that road He must trod.

Every borned again Christian has a road set before you. You've got to follow that road. God marks it out. It's marked by the Blood. And the Spirit always lives in the Blood, because through the Blood comes Life; Blood cell is the Life cell. Now, we follow Him then, and we see how the road map directs us, shows which a way we're going. It's always been. It's God's provided way for us. The Word is God's provided way.

*GOD, A PROVIDED WAY, HOLD ONTO THE PROMISE UNTIL IT'S MADE MANIFEST TO YOU.

  191      Well, that's the way we're supposed to do. If I see a promise in the Bible that's God's Word, then I just stay there and cry out till God gives it to me. And He'd do that, get you off His hands; you see, that would be in the natural. But He's wanting you to do it. He likes for you to ask. "Ask abundantly that your joys might be full." Yeah. Yeah.

192    Cry until His Word is vindicated. Now, friend, let's watch just a minute now. Cry until the Word is vindicated.

193    The trouble of it is, we get a cookie and think that's all there is. There's a whole table full. We get so we can speak in tongues, we say, "Oh, brother, that's it." Oh, no. That ain't. That's just some of it. That's right. "Oh, I got happy enough to shout." That's some more of it. But there's a whole lot more of it. Just keep on crying out, until...

194    That's God's provided way for His people. God's provided way always is to take His Word and hold onto It until It's vindicated to you. Now, do you follow me? God, a provided way, hold onto the promise until it's made manifest to you.

  195      And, remember, I'm on record for this. That, any promise of God in the Bible, if... It's on conditions now. Just because you believe it's there, that don't make it so it'll happen.

196    Them Pharisees and Sadducees was just as religious with those sacraments as they could be. But God said, "They stink in My nose." See? There was no sincerity. There was nothing to it that should be.

197    You've got to come upon basical promise, and then upon your mental attitude towards it.

Jas 5:10  Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 

Jas 5:11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. 

Jas 5:12  But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. 

Jas 5:13  Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 

Jas 5:14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 

Jas 5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 

Jas 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 

Jas 5:17  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
