23-1030P_EXPECTATION PT-2

Luk 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

Psa 121:1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
Psa 121:2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Psa 121:3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Psa 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psa 121:5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
Psa 121:6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
Psa 121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

*THAT'S WHAT THE CHURCH TODAY LACKS, IS THE WARNING OF MAKING READY.

I think it--it should be--we should all be warned of the things that's come--coming. That's what the church today lacks, is the warning of making ready. I believe really, the church was in better condition forty years ago for Christ to come than it is today. Forty years... I was speaking on that the other day at the Westward Ho, at the Full Gospel Business Men's Convention, of how that the church in forty years lost ground just like it did in the wilderness. But it's the time now when the old fighters is dead, and we ought to get ourselves together, and get started on for the Kingdom of God, and go over and possess the full blessing.

*NOW, THAT SAME SPOKEN WORD OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN MAKE ANY PROMISE OF GOD MANIFEST, IF YOU'LL JUST BELIEVE IT.

E-24 See, you've got to come right back to know this Word's the truth. Now, that's exactly what gives me my bold stand in Christ, because I believe that Word is truth. It just cannot fail. It can no more fail than God, because it is God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us." Hebrews 4 tells us that the Word of God is powerful, more sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting both ways into the asunder and the marrow of the bone, and even a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. When Jesus looked upon the audience and perceived their thought, what was it? He was the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Well, they ought to have knowed it, that He was the Word of God made manifest. Now, that same spoken Word of God, the Holy Spirit can make any promise of God manifest, if you'll just believe it.

*IF YOU WANT TO HAVE REAL EXPECTATIONS IT MUST BE BUILT UPON THUS SAITH THE LORD.

E-25 Now, expectation, it has to be built upon something that got a faith behind it. Because if you're expecting something is because something's been promised or some way like that. So if you want to have real expectations it must be built upon THUS SAITH THE LORD. Look at Noah. It was...

Sometimes God asked you to do things that's ridiculous to your own human thinking. Now, remember, if you're going to enter this revival trying to figure out something, you might as well enter out to begin with, 'cause you can't do it. Remember, God does not know man by--or God... Man does not know God, rather, by his head. He knows Him by his heart. In the garden of Eden, why, man was divided between God and Satan. Satan took his head; God took his heart. With his intellectuals he tries to reason out things, but by faith in his heart through God will make him believe things that reason won't even vindicate. "For it's the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." See, it's... He's got to believe God's Word. Oh, brother, if you could just get that down good and sunk in your heart, it'd make every devil jump and leave right now. See? So... Oh, it--it does it.

*MAKE PREPARATIONS AS LONG AS YOU HEAR GOD'S WORD, THEN MAKE PREPARATIONS FOR IT TO HAPPEN AND WAIT UNDER EXPECTATION.

E-26 Now, when Noah was asked to build an ark by God, why he moved with fear, knowing... Could you imagine what the critics was saying? Noah was expecting it to rain, because God said it was going to rain. Now, it never had rained on the earth. Could you imagine the critics saying, "Oh, look, poor old fellow's kind a little off at his head. But he said... "Where's that rain at Noah? Tell me where it's at; I don't see any of it up there. There--there's no rain from up there, never has been, never will be."

But Noah said, "God said so. That settles it. If God said so, He can create rain up there if He wanted to." So he was expecting it to rain, so he made preparations for the rain. Oh, I like that. Oh, make preparations as long as you hear God's Word, then make preparations for it to happen and wait under expectation. Oh, that makes me start feeling religious to begin with. See? To think that... God said so, then make--be expecting it.

*I BELIEVE JESUS IS COMING… I'M EXPECTING IT, SO I'M PREPARING FOR IT; I'M WAITING FOR IT EVERY DAY BEING READY.

I believe Jesus is coming. Science is proving they can take a little pollen from something and some mucus, and put something in it and so forth like this, and they can almost make human life, they claim. Oh, they're so smart they can--got a sputnik up in the sky and a human heart beating in it. That don't bother me a bit. They say, "Well, one of these days you'll find out all the religion you're talking about is crazy." No, I won't. Jesus will be here. We'll have a millennium. We'll go home to glory. I'm expecting it, so I'm preparing for it; I'm waiting for it every day being ready. "When will He come?" I don't know, but if He isn't here today, I'll be looking tomorrow. I'm expecting it, just 'cause He said so, and I live daily under those expectations. That's right. You must have expectation, certainly. Noah did.

*I'M EXPECTING THE HOLY GHOST TO COME DOWN AND SET IN ORDER A CHURCH THAT'LL GO TO MEET HIM

E-50 "Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God," not led by some other fanatics or some organizations or something or another, they're led by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit was given to the church to be the Overseer, the Tutor that was to raise the children of God, not our bishops, and cardinals, and so forth, but the Holy Ghost. I'm expecting the Holy Ghost, not denomination, not a bishop, not a Catholic priest, not a Baptist preacher, or a Pentecostal preacher; I'm expecting the Holy Ghost to come down and set in order a church that'll go to meet Him, filled with the power and the resurrection of Christ. I'm expecting that; I believe it. God promised it, that there'd be a church there without spot or wrinkle on it. I'm expecting it because God said it was so.

15 And so He come, first, to redeem His Bride. He comes, second, as a Rapture, to take away His Bride. He comes, third, with His Bride, King and Queen; after, that's when many people are expecting the Coming.

But when He comes this time, hardly none but those who are ready will know when He comes. There'll just be an absence of people. They won't know what happened to them. They'll just be caught away, in a moment, and that they just come up missing. "Changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye." So just be ready for that. It'd be horrible some morning to miss a loved one, no one can find them. Wouldn't it be too bad to know it's done past and you missed it? So just keep before God.

*IF YOU GOT THAT BURNING DESIRE IN YOUR HEART, THE HOLY SPIRIT'S OBLIGATED TO LEAD YOU TO IT…

E-59 Now, the Holy Spirit was obligated then, to lead him to that fountain. Amen. Oh, if you're expecting it, the same Holy Spirit leads you to that fountain. It's got to open up somewhere. If you got that burning desire in your heart, the Holy Spirit's obligated to lead you to it, right to that fountain filled with Blood, drawn from Immanuel's veins, where sinners (That's unbelievers.), plunge beneath the flood, lose all their unbelief. That's right. Oh, you want to be to a place to where you can surpass any doubt in your mind. Don't you want to be that way? Well, there's a fountain somewhere to do that. You're searching for it, searching for it.

Now, then at that time, if you've been searching for it, testifying about it, expecting it because it was a promise... And every promise in the Book belongs to you, so you've been searching for it, then if it was close to him, it was the Holy Spirit's obligation to lead him to that place to where Christ was. That's the Holy Spirit's obligation.

Now, if you believe in healing, it's the Holy Spirit's obligation to lead you right up to the fountain. Now, you don't have to get in, but He will lead it up, show you. If you're seeking the Holy Spirit, then the Holy Spirit will lead you right up to the place where you can receive the Holy Ghost, if you just let Him lead you.

2Th 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2Th 3:2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

2Th 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
2Th 3:4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
2Th 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

23-1027A_INVESTMENTS PT-6 (Invest Your Life In HIM)

Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I

may have eternal life?

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mat 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Mat 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mat 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Mat 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

92 It's just like a bottle of medicine, a cure. See, not morally cure; it reproduces the Life of Christ. See? If you take the Gospel, then you become part of the Gospel. And if you become a part of it, like Peter, James, and John, and them, did on Pentecost, your life is another living Book of Acts. There is no way out of it. Jesus said, in Mark 16, "These signs shall follow them that believe." But the people will learn, and they go through seminaries and schools, to learn it, but don't want none of it themselves, yet they think that they got it. Yeah. They think that they got it, but the actions speaks louder than all the words. See, your--your life proves it, whatever you are.

*NOW, WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE, ANYHOW?

116 Now, where is your treasure, anyhow? Is it in your church? Is it in your business? Or, is it in Heaven? "For wherever your treasure is, there your heart will be also." So why not make an investment this morning, of Life? Your business will go to ashes someday.

*AND GOD'S KINGDOM IS NEVER OF THE WORLD… IT'S THE POWER OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE HUMAN LIFE.

132 And God's Kingdom is never of the world, no matter how many intellectual men you can stand up. I'm not condemning those people, but I'm trying to show you a trick that Satan has done. They--they cannot, I don't care how big. You Pentecostals want... You oneness wants all the threeness to unite with you. And you threeness wants all the oneness and church of God, and so forth, unite with your thirty-some odd organizations, become one. You Methodist and Baptist, and so forth, the same way.

134 Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world. If it was, His Kingdom, His delegates would fight. But said, "My Kingdom is of Above." See? The Kingdom of God is not an organization that can make a great thing. It's the power of God, the Holy Spirit in the human life.

*AND IF THERE IS NO TESTING TIME, THEN YOU HAVEN'T MADE YOUR INVESTMENT YET.

147 Now, we find out now that Noah was tested when he made his investment.

148 So will you, my brother. And if there is no testing time, then you haven't made your investment yet. Because, your enemy is standing there with the hammer back on his gun, with the bowstring drawed, and he is ready to shoot every poison dart that he can send, every cult, and every little idea, and every intellectual giant like Goliath. He'll send them around there, that looks so taller than the--the brethren that you're associating with, your little, ignorant and unlearned brethren. He'll send such spiritual intellectual giants, and big schools, that can explain the whole thing away from you. But if you have made your investment, and got your policy stamped and sealed by the Holy Spirit, there is nothing going to rub it out.

*SATAN TRIED NOAH, ON HIS--ON HIS INVESTMENT. AND HE--HE TRIED HIM, TO MAKE HIM DOUBT IT.

150 Notice, Satan tried Noah, on his--on his investment. And he--he tried him, to make him doubt it. The scientists rose up to tell him there is no rain in the skies, and there were scoffers in the days of Noah.

151 Now if there is scoffers in that day, at the in-come, at the end time, rather, on the investments that--that men took in their heart to believe God's Word, there is scoffers today against the Word, because It don't look sensible. But, you see, you're not supposed to use your own sense.

153 No, if you could, then you could explain God. You don't know God by intellectual conception. You know God by faith, is the only way you know how to believe God. Just, you can't explain it. No one can. It's not for you to. No, nobody can explain God. God is without finding out by explanation; you've got to believe Him; it wouldn't be a faith no more. Now you've got to believe it. Now notice.

*NOAH'S GREAT INVESTMENT ONE DAY PAID OFF. WHEN HE STOOD THE PERSECUTION

154 And, then, Noah's great investment one day paid off. When he stood the persecution, when he stood the scoffers, when he stood against all the things and the policies of the world of that day, and all the religious things that seemed to be against him, it paid off by saving his life. He believed it. His investment paid off.

155 Now, businessmen, let me say another thing. Daniel made an investment one day. He was taken down into a world that wasn't like the world that he was used to. He was taken among people that didn't believe the same thing he believed. But he made an investment, and look what he done. He purposed in his heart that he wouldn't mar, he wouldn't defile that investment. See? The investment that he had made in God, he purposed in his heart; though it took his life, he would not defile it by disbelieving it.

*WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR INVESTMENT, STAY THERE ON IT… BUT WHEN YOU'RE READY TO LET THE MIND THAT WAS IN CHRIST BE IN YOU!

156 Don't disbelieve it. When you make your investment, stay there on it. If you're not ready to believe it, then don't make your investment. But when you're ready to let the mind that was in Christ be in you!

You say, "Well, This is that and that."

157 Better watch it. If it isn't in the Word, then leave it alone. The Word is the basic facts and Truth, no personal interpretation. It's writ just the way... If God is going to judge the church by the Bible, then, the Bible, God has watched over It to keep It, and it's written just the way It should be written. No private interpretation! The Methodist interpret It one way, and the Baptist another, and so forth. And then bring it down to the showdown, neither one of them is right. It's man's mind, where they run off.

*I'M NOT ASKING YOU TO INVEST YOUR MONEY… I'M TALKING TO YOU ABOUT THE POLICY OF LIFE. "COME, FOLLOW ME. TAKE UP YOUR CROSS.

214 That, now, I'm not asking you to in..vest your money. That's up to you, what you do with that, to some missionary society, or whatever it is, to send missionaries. I don't know about that. God will take care of that.

215 I'm talking to you about the policy of Life. "Come, follow Me. Take up your cross. Let everybody call you what they will; but you--you come, follow Me." Now he wasn't quite willing to do this. He made a very rashel thing, just exactly like the people of the Laodicean Age today, in the policy. They are not willing. They don't want to.

*THIS WORD HAS GOT TO BE MY LIFE. THAT'S WHAT YOURS NEED.

221 And neither can I go without holding the Cross, you see. This Word has got to be my Life. That's what yours need. I--I--I can't--can't speak without this handlebar to guide, this Holy Spirit that moves me and directs me.

223 Now, businessman, don't look here, your business may feel, fail tomorrow, it might fail some other day, but watch the end of the road, and there is where your policy is going to pay off.

*YOU KNOW, WE DON'T HAVE TO BE SO POOR IN MONEY, WE'LL HAVE TO GET POOR IN SPIRIT.

224 This young fellow increased in goods, but we find out his finally pay-off day come. His greed, goods so increased till he found that he had to build new barns. Oh, his business kept increasing! He stayed a member of the church. You say, "Yes?" Yes, brother, that's right. He stayed a member of the church. And one night, he got so big, till there was a man that was poor in spirit...

225 You know, we don't have to be so poor in money, we'll have to get poor in spirit. Jesus said, in Matthew 5, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the," not the organization, "the Kingdom."

*AND LAZARUS, A POOR IN SPIRIT, LAY THERE WITH NOT EVEN ENOUGH MEDICINE TO TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF, AND THE DOGS LICKED HIS SORE.

227 And Lazarus, a poor in spirit, lay there with not even enough medicine to take care of himself, and the dogs licked his sore. But one night, he, they both died. And when they did, the Bible said that the poor in spirit "was carried by Angel pallbearers, to the bosoms of Abraham," the one had invest, made Him his investment in Eternal Life. He didn't live for what he had here. For his popularity, he had none. He was a beggar at the gate. He, he had nothing. He had no money. He had nothing. He had no friends. But, yet, he was a believer. He had made his investment. And he died on the street, with the dogs licking his sores. And the Bible said, that, "Angels packed him into the bosoms of Abraham."

*USING NOT OUR OWN MIND, BUT JUST LETTING HIS MIND, WE ARE PRISONERS…NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS, YOU ARE PRISONED TO THAT WORD.

241 Oh, businessmen, this morning, I am offering to you, as an agent of Jesus Christ, an Eternal Life, a policy of Eternal Life, that Christ my Lord, and my supreme Boss, for I am dead to the things of the world, to live only to Him. Using not our own mind, but just letting His mind, we are prisoners, as Paul, as Moses. No matter what anyone else says, you are prisoned to that Word. The Holy Spirit leads; He forbids to go places, He forbids to come here, He--He sends you to places you would not go, and keeps you away from places that you would go. Do you want a policy? Do you want to make an investment?

242 …. And if you want to make a confession, and know that you've been wrong, and you'd like to have one of these policies, and would desire. And I hope you don't think now that I... I hope it don't sound sacrilegious when I say, "policies." I'm only making this statement according to my text. And you're... and--and you want to have Eternal Life, and you want to invest your life in Jesus Christ, if you will now, think hard.

23-1023P_THE COMFORTER

Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

WHO IS THIS COMFORTER THEN? JESUS…"YOU KNOW HIM, FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU IN A BODY OF FLESH NOW,"

46 Isn't that plain? Who is this Comforter then? Jesus. See? He said, "I'll pray the Father; He'll send you another Comforter, even the Spirit of Truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it knoweth Him not, neither seeth Him; or, seeth Him, neither knoweth Him. But you know Him." See, He's talking about Himself. "You know Him, for He dwelleth with you in a body of flesh now," talking to the disciples, "and shall be in you; and will abide for ever," never leave.
Oh, isn't He a good God? Jesus is so good to us. And it's well expressed, that, "Our God is a good God." He's so good to His children. He has provided every good thing for us. Everything that we have need of He's provided it. Truly you could say, "Our Father, Who art in heaven," because He is a Father. And though we be disobedient, though we be arrogant, He still provides for us just the same. Whether we are good or whether we are bad, He gives us food to eat, clothes to wear, house to dwell in. Oh, He is so good.

BUT THEN, IF WE'LL JUST LIVE CLOSE TO HIM, HE'LL PROVIDE SOMETHING ELSE FOR US.

48 If we would just look around and count the good things that He is to us... We don't stop to consider that. What if you had no eyes? What if you had no nose, you had no mouth, you had no ears? What if you had no feet or limbs, and could not walk around? But you... But, see, He provided you feet. What if you had no eyes and could not see, and yet, you could hear noises, but you knew not what they were? Now, them's all in the five senses that He provides.
But then, if we'll just live close to Him, He'll provide something else for us. There is an insight, that we can see what the ordinary person never sees. When we're borned again, we see Him. See? "You know Him. You have seen Him. He will abide with you forever." Oh, He's a good Father. He is the... He's the Fountain of goodness; the great resource of all goodness and Fatherhood belongs in our God. He's so good to His believing children. But now perhaps...

50 One thing that He provides for us is sunshine. Oh, how that... You know, you couldn't live without sunshine. You couldn't live but a little while, because there'd be nothing growing. And sunshine is such a great thing and so needful, yet we just look and say, "Oh, it's the sun," and go off. See, we so look over it. But that sunshine is important to our life. It helps us, and it gives us strength. And now, that's to the natural man. And then there is a spiritual Sunshine that we can live in.
All the natural are types of spiritual. Like we had good food that we eat at the table; it's a type of the good Food that we eat from the Word. See, it's just a type. It's the outward expression (the physical part) of the spiritual part, which means more to us than the physical part. See?

52 It's just like a little baby. When a little baby is conceived in the mother's womb, it's just flesh and blood, jumping, quivering. But as soon as it's born, you don't see it, but there's a spirit and soul hanging near that mother to come into that baby just as soon as it's born. Just as soon as that baby is born, God has created a soul and created a spirit to be in that baby just as soon as it's born into this world. That little baby becomes matured, and it begins to learn; then it becomes a living soul when it knows what's right and wrong. Then it's got, just like Adam and Eve, set before a tree of right and wrong. It makes its choice. And then it becomes intelligent. It's growing all the time in God's great economy.
And finally it comes down to the end of the road, for this physical body. And just as this body is deteriorating and going away, there is one being prepared to receive it. Just as soon as it leaves here, this soul that's in us now and this spirit leaves this body and goes to another, a young one, a good one, a better one, a one that won't get old, or one that won't pass away. Why, He's a good God. But certainly He is.

54 But now, take for instance, what if a man that knows about sunshine, and it shining, and then he just refuses to acknowledge that sunshine? He said, "I just don't believe it." And he goes down into his basement, and shuts the door, and just refuses to know the sun is a-shining: "I do not believe it."
Someone said, "Oh, it's warm. It's healthy. The people who live in the sunshine has color, and they're healthier if they live in the sunshine."
"I do not believe it," he'd say, just shut hisself in. Now, that man is in a pitiful condition. There's something wrong with his mental powers, if a man does that.

57 And if a man will shut hisself from God's spiritual sun--Sunshine, there's something wrong with his spiritual condition; for when a man refuses to walk in the leading of a good God, like our God, Who is our Comfort and our Strength... And to live in His Sunshine is spiritual growth. It's spiritual strength to live in His Sunshine, the shining of His glory. Why, it's the greatest privilege that we have, to live under the Sunlight of God's glory. Look at the good, healthy Christians.

58 Take the man or the woman that would put--put himself down into some cellar, and would not see the sunshine, the natural sunshine that God has provided for him, but he refuses to believe it. And because of selfishness, he shuts hisself off. That man will soon become anemia. He will become pale. He won't have good strength. He won't have health. And he'll soon... Because that he has shut hisself off from the very privilege that God gave him. That's right. He did it willfully.
Then if we shut ourselves off from the glory of God, from the baptism of the Holy Ghost, or the fellowship of the Spirit, the first thing you know, we become pale, sickly Christians. Our experience is growing out and dim. And when the great trials come, we shrink and go back.

It takes that soldier who's lived in the Sunlight of God; it takes that spirit who knows God, where there's not a wave of doubt; they can stand in the midst of trouble, and cry out, "My Redeemer liveth." Hallelujah. That's it. See?

60 We shut ourselves off. And they do it automatically; we do it because that we want to do it. But God's good; He provides it for us. But too many today don't want to get into that healthy place with God, a healthy Christian, have a healthy spirit. You'll certainly would rally for a healthy body, anybody would. Well, that body, no matter how much health you put in that body, it's going back to the dust.

But, oh, my brother, that soul cannot get too healthy. And every time it grows, it grows in the strength and grace and power of God. We need to walk in the Sunlight of God, because He is good.

63 We have a great heritage, a great sacred trust that's been given us. You might wonder now, "Brother Branham, you're talking about Sunshine, great Sunshine of God's glory to make healthy spirits, to make us strong Christians?" That's what we're here for tonight, is to find out. "How do we get those things? Where do they come from? What are they? Show me what it is, Brother Branham. Can I buy it at the drugstore? What kind of a vitamin is it?"
You don't buy it at a drugstore. But there is plenty of it right close to you, if you'll just receive it. It's just knowing the formula, how to receive it.

There'd be drugs in a drugstore, but there's got to be a doctor to diagnose the case. If he didn't, you--it might kill you. So therefore, you've got to have a diagnosis of the case. You just can't go and take a sinner and give him the Holy Ghost. He's got to repent first. He's got to be washed, his sins away. He's got to be prepared for this great Vitamin that's going to be given him.

68 Now, we have a sacred trust. You know what a trust is. And we have a inheritance, a heritage that we inherit as believing children. It's a sacred trust. And that sacred trust and our sacred heritage is the Word of God that's been given to us, the full Word of God. The Word Itself is the Vitamin, the Word Itself, God's Word.

That's where, reason I'm so dogmatic, as I would call it, on standing on this Word. No matter what anything else says, if it's not with the Word, then I don't believe it. See? If you want to believe it, it's all right. But to me it takes the Word, 'cause, "Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Words shall never fail." Therefore, it takes that Word.

70 I live by the Word. Jesus said, "It's written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'" And this is It. And That is given to us as a heritage. It's our inheritance, the Word. O God, let us think of It in the deepness of It.
It's--it's our privilege. It's this sacred trust that God has put to His Church. God gave His Word to His Church. And that sacred heritage is ours. It's a gift from God, not to just compromise on this, and cut this out, and throw this out, and add this in to suit our own taste; but to preach the full Word, the whole Gospel. We are duty bound as Christians to take It and believe It. When we know, "If our hearts condemn us not, then we know we have favor with God."
But when we know we're bypassing Something, that some great heritage that belongs to us, that we bypass It, because our church said they don't believe in this today; it isn't for us today. If we bypass That, then we spoil our inheritage.

74 God help me. God help you, as Christians, never to compromise one Word of God's Word. This sacred trust was handed to the Church, and it's a glorious thing to have this Gospel, the full Gospel, to preach It without compromising anywhere. Preach It just as It's written. Live It just as It's written. What a sacred trust.

And if we ever expect this Word to ever come to pass, if we ever expect God to keep His Word, we've got to stay with It just the way God wrote It. That's the reason, if you stay with It the way God wrote It, there'll be all kinds of things happening among you; every Word will be fulfilled.

76 I'm under expectations just now myself of seeing a shaking power come, that'll shake the nations pretty soon.
God can ever get a people under His Own control, if He'll get a man or a woman that won't compromise on His Word, but will stand there like the Rock of Ages, that'll believe every Word of It, and believe that He's behind It... And a man who believes It, you must act like It. If you don't act like It, then you don't believe It. But if you believe It, act like It. And you can put It to work, and the Word will be in you.

78 We lost our heritage because that we--we just compromise. And when we compromise, then we cannot expect to--God to keep His promise to us; because we have broke in upon the sacred trust, and defiled the trust that God gave us. Let us keep that trust; keep it sacred; keep it holy. Keep every Word of It, and compromise nowhere. Take God at His Word and believe It, act like it, stand on It; don't move. That's what we must do. That's what God's looking for.

As I said this morning in the message, in our message this morning, speaking of, "It behooveth us," or, "It's becoming to us that we fulfill all righteousness." It's up to us to whom the Word's been delivered to. It's up to us that we stay with that Word. And as we stay with It, we see God working among us. So it's becoming to us to stay with It. It's a heritage that God has given us.

E-23 Now not only the Word, whatever they want to say about It, that's one thing or another. But we know we have the Scriptures right for we have the Holy Ghost as a Witness. That's the Witness. So God looking down through the--the optical eye, as it was, and looked down through the--the--the magnifying glass and seeing the end from the beginning, why, He knew these skeptics would rise and try to twist the Word in and out and like that. So He said, "I'll not leave you comfortless, but I'll pray the Father, and He'll send you another Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost. And he will abide with you until (1950...?) forever, (amen, that's right, forever, all right), and He would declare and testify of Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever." So we have a wonderful witness of that tonight don't we? That's right.

So what kind of a people should we be then? Why, we should be free and happy, and my, no condemnation, living above sin and disgrace, not by our own...?... but by Him. See? Not what we are but what He is. God don't accept me for what I am. He accepts me for what Christ has done for me. It isn't my holiness, my righteousness; it's His. I have none to offer, but I just accepted His. Amen. So I know He's pleased with that, for He said, "This is My beloved Son in Who I'm well pleased." And He raised him up from the dead. And just as He raised Him from the dead, so shall we be raised, for we are his Bride, flesh of His flesh, bone of His bone, and we shall be with Him.
