Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 

Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

  E-43    Please don't get me wrong now. A man comes to a place he wants to be--wants religion. He wants to be saved; he doesn't want to go to hell. No human being wants to go to that place. It wasn't made for the human being; it was made for the devil and his angels; wasn't made for human beings.

Now. But the human being sends hisself in there. God throws every red light He can across it, and the people fights right on beyond it. You have...

Before you can come--become an unbeliever, you have to bypass faith in God's Word first before you can become an unbeliever. You have to run the red light of God.

 
***THE SPIRIT OF GOD RAISE UP A STANDARD OF HIS OWN WORD AGAINST THE ENEMY.

  E-50    But Satan makes it appealing. Certainly. It's appealing. Sin's appealing. But the enemy keeps finding a better bait. He will strip her off a little more, and do this, and do that. And don't worry, he will never make her completely naked. She'd be horrible then. See, he knows just what to do. But Satan keeps bringing sin in. And that was the original sin. That's the way he's going out: with the same thing as the kingdom come in, the warfare.

Now, watch. But God doesn't have to do anything more to His, make it any more appealing. The only thing He has to do is just raise up a standard of His own Word against the enemy. When the--the Bible said, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God raises a standard against it." What does He do? He makes the Word that He's already said more positive (whew!), and taking His same Word, and just making It more positive.

 

* GOD EQUIPS HIS SOLDIERS EXACTLY WHAT IT TAKES TO USE.

  E-94    And so now, God, knowing at this last days there will come intellectual giants, there will come everything intellectual, all kinds of the enemy with reasoning powers to try to prove to the church that the days of miracles is past and all this. God packed in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with what? Speaking with tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecies, gifts, and all kinds of things. They may seem hard in training, but, brother, on the battle front, every one of them's got to be used. God equips His soldiers exactly what it takes to use. Amen.

Oh, they might say, "Just learn psychology." That won't work. No, sir. That's as thin as broth made out of the shadow of a chicken that starved to death. So that's no good. We have to have power of the Holy Ghost coming upon a man, with all the nine spiritual gifts dwelling in him.

 

*YOU STAY THERE TILL GOD EQUIPS YOU WITH THE BAPTISM OF THE SPIRIT.

  E-95    You stay there till God equips you with the baptism of the Spirit. Then everything you've got need of in this world or the world to come, lives right in you. The all wise God knowed how to equip His army. He equipped it with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. That's exactly what He sent for these last days.

He knew that we'd have to have it. He knew that people would reason, would go to reading this Word when it become in print out here, what would happen.

….. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God knowed it would take the baptism of the Holy Ghost to prove His latter day signs. That's right.

 

*YOU'VE GOT TO DO THAT BY THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE ARMOR OF GOD.

  E-98    Satan knows that reasoning and where reasoning lays. Yes, sir. To be an effectual witness of His resurrection, He knowed it would take the Holy Ghost, 'cause man cannot do those things. He equipped His army with the Holy Ghost to do those things, to make known the secrets of the heart, as He promised. You can't do that with any kind of training. You've got to do that by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the armor of God. And this is the evening Light. To make Hebrews 13:8 reality, it would take more than a training. You can read words, and read words, and read words, and it'll never make it come to pass until you have the Holy Ghost there to manifest that.

That's the Light; putting on the whole armor of God, not just a dress only, dress up and say, "Glory to God. I got the Holy Ghost." Then you're spurting all the power out the whistle. You're doing no good. Put it in action; put it in faith; make it move; make it do something: putting on the whole armor of God to go out and withstand the wiles of the devil.

Look at the whole armor of God, is faith. What is the armor of God? Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, patience, faith. Just look what goes in the armor; everything's supernatural. You cannot handle it with your hands; you have to believe it. Go down to the store and buy me a quarter's worth of Divine love; buy me a dollar's worth of faith. You cannot purchase it. 91    The whole armor of God is by faith. We haven't got one natural thing of this world. Everything of the Christian church is a faith act. Look at the armor of God, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience. Is that right? Everything's supernatural, nothing natural. So we don't look at the things natural, because we're operating supernatural. And the only way we can base it, is faith, is on what God said was the truth, and we look at the unseen. And we call those things which are not as though they were, like Abraham did when he got his... Amen. Abraham called those things which was not, like God did, as though they were. Being a hundred years old, staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief.

E-27    Fellow said not long ago, he said, "Anything that's not scientifically proven isn't real."

I said, "I'll just vice versa that. Anything that can be scientifically proved isn't real."

Why, he said, "You must be mentally wrong."

And I said, "Well, I want to ask you something."

He said, "If I can't scientifically prove it, I won't believe it."

I said, "Do you believe you got a mind?" I said, "Scientifically show me what your mind is. Have you got a wife and children, show me what love is."

Everything that's everlasting, everything that's real is unscientifically proved. The whole armor of God is completely supernatural: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience, faith. Every armor--whole armor of Christianity is supernatural.

Then why shouldn't we believe in supernatural things, if the entire armor of the Christian faith is supernatural? We look at the unseen. Not what we see. Everything we see is perishable, come from the earth. But we look at things we do not see, and by faith we believe it and accept it.

  E-100    I got plenty more here, but I ain't going to say it. Brother, the whole armor of God is the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the Word behind it. And if anybody says they got the Holy Ghost and deny one Word of this, then it's not the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost wrote this Bible, and He said, "Whosoever shall take anything out of It, or put anything in It, the same will be taken, his part out of the Book of Life." The Holy Ghost recognizes the Word only, because that's His Word, and He cannot go back on His Word. He has to keep His Word. Amen.

        54-3    We are taught in James 4:7 (I don't have time to read it.), James 4:7, to resist the devil, and he just won't walk away, but he will flee. Resist the devil. How do you resist the devil? The same way our Chief Captain told us to do it. Take the Word of God; that's how you resist the devil is by the Word of God. But Joshua was perseverant, for he knowed God said, "I've give it to you." See, they were looking at what they could see. Joshua was looking at what God said. That's what... It depends on what you're looking at. The Christian looks at the unseen, the unseen. The whole armor of Christianity is unseen. Everlasting things is unseen. The seen things are material, and the earth is the mother of all of it.

But the unseen, the whole armor of God, is an unseen affair: love, joy, peace, faith, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentle, so forth, God, the Holy Ghost, Spirit. All that is unseen. That's the lasting things, the eternal things. That's our whole armor.

  E-31    Everything the Christian can depend on is the unseen, the promise of God. And we look at something that we don't see with our eyes. By the way, if you see it with your eyes, you don't see it. "See it" means "to understand it." You look at anything right straight and say, "I don't see it," you mean you don't understand it. When you understand... Something that's got a understanding that God has made His promise, and something has struck you that you believe it, that's understanding that God's promise is to you. Then something's going to happen. Then I don't care, nobody in the world can talk you out of it. You're on your road then. Nothing's going to stop you.

  E-32    Washington, when he prayed through, he was ready. When men hear from God and know that it's Scriptural, then they can be perseverant. Noah, just a farmer, a man... You notice, the--the lineage of--of Cain's children was smart, great scientists, great achievements in science. We follow that. But the children of Seth were humble, peasants, farmers, sheep raisers, and so forth. God always dwells in humility.

  E-33    The trouble of it is today, that we American people, we're always looking for something big and bright (and God don't do that), something noisy. God can draw more water with the sun in five minutes than we can pump out of a noisy pump in forty days. Sure. But we're looking for something big and noisy; God is looking for something that is small and quiet.

The rushing wind, the thunder, the smoke, the earthquake, none of that things ever attracted the prophet Elijah when he was in the cave. But when he heard that still, small voice, God was in there. Then he come walking forth. None of the rest of it could attract him. It's something there that's got to anchor. Something's got to take place.
