21-0514A_All The Days Of Our Life Pt-3 (IT'S A JOY TO SERVE THE LORD)

All The Days Of Our Life Pt-3

(IT’S A JOY TO SERVE THE LORD.)

WHEN WE RECEIVE CHRIST, IT ISN'T JUST FOR A FEW HOURS, OR JUST FOR THE TIME OF THE REVIVAL, BUT IT'S TO LAST ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIFE

E-13    When we receive Christ, it isn't just for a few hours, or just for the time of the revival, but it's to last all the days of our life. I think each person coming to Christ ought to set down first and think, before you even go to the meeting. "If God should call me, am I ready? If He should speak to my heart tonight, should I stand up; am I ready to surrender all my life to Him?" That's the only way that He will accept you is when you give all your life.

WHEN WE BECOME CHRISTIANS, WE TOTALLY SURRENDER EVERY BIT OF OUR MENTAL POWERS TO GOD AND FOLLOW AFTER HIS LEADING.

And that's the way it is with the human being. If he becomes a lamb, if his nature is changed, he depends wholly upon God and upon God's leading. But the earth man, when Adam realized that he had fallen from that estate, where God had him wholly depending on Him, Adam quickly showed his second nature, his fallen nature. And he wanted a way back, to be redeemed, but he wanted to do it his way and after his own thinking.

E-15    I trust that the church will understand this: that we have no right to use our own thinking about things. When we become Christians, we totally surrender every bit of our mental powers to God and follow after His leading. And as long as we try to go after our own feeling, then we are using the fallen state of the being.

THEY SAY I'M HARD. I'M NOT HARD. IT'S NOT HARD. THAT'S TRUTH.

I don't like to say this, but I going to say it anyhow. I--I'm not speaking too hard. Now, I hope I'm not. I want to say it with season in it. But sisters will go through the... Out here in... On these streets here in Chicago, it's disgracefully, to see them, how they would take their clothes off and walk on the street.

And they, seemingly, don't know any different. They don't realize that they're committing adultery. You say, "Well Brother Branham, I know women that...“A woman cannot wear shorts without having an evil spirit on her. You get that. Because she might not believe it in her intellectuals, but Satan has put that spirit on her to show herself before men.

And at the day of judgment, every man that looks at her in a wrong way will be guilty with her for committing adultery with her, on the day of the judgment. And her pastor don't say nothing about it.

E-26    They say I'm hard. I'm not hard. It's not hard. That's truth. You know why? She's blind and he is too. And the Bible said, "If the blind leads the blind, both of them will fall into the ditch." It's intellectual. And men also will go out and do things: cheat in business deals, and still even be deacons in the church, smoke.

When a hundred and thirty-three thousand Americans will die this year from smoking cigarettes, one hundred and thirty-three thousand is marked up for death this year with smoking cigarettes.

The medical science said in the last "Reader's Digest," that if a man smokes in these days, it's so advanced that he will never live his time out. Something don't kill him, why, he will die with cancer before his time's out. That's right before his eyes. And yet, he will go on. I shook hands with a pastor the other day, that his fingers was yellow from smoking cigarettes. "If you defile this body, I will destroy it," saith the Lord.

CRUCIFY YOURSELF, AND YOUR FLESH, AND YOUR DESIRES, THAT GOD MIGHT TAKE HOLD IN YOUR HEART TO MOVE YOU AND MOTIVATE YOU.

That's hard. But we are slaves, and we want to serve Him all the days of our life. A slave is a servant. In order to be a servant of Jesus Christ, you have to be a slave to yourself, to crucify... Oh, God, let it sink in. Crucify yourself, and your flesh, and your desires, that God might take hold in your heart to move you and motivate you.

That's the slave of Christ, the bond slave called--Paul called it. He said he was a slave to the Lord Jesus, a bond slave in service for the Lord Jesus, going about daily, crucifying the flesh to be a slave for Jesus Christ, rejoicing because he was a slave. That's it.

BUT WE WHO ARE BOND SLAVES TO JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE SLAVES OF JOY.

E-30    And that was so at the beginning, and it's so now. Because he was deceived by trying to sew fig leaves together to make hisself a way, and reject God's way. And that's what he's still doing: sewing his creeds together, and making this and that, and big churches and places to try to deceive man by. The Bible said he would do it: "Have a form of godliness and deny the power thereof..." So you see, it's... You've got to be a slave one way or the other.

But we who are bond slaves to Jesus Christ, we are slaves of joy. I'm so glad that I got shackles on me, that shackles me away from the things of the world, that I could become a slave to Jesus Christ, to serve Him in love.

And you, my brethren and sisters, who are like precious faith, who's been borned of the Holy Ghost, that's had the Blood of Jesus Christ to sanctify and cleanse you from all the filth of the world, that die daily to the flesh, crucify it, putting it away, and becoming a slave to your own body to serve God, we look for a City to come. Blessed be the Lord.

AND IT'LL NOT BE SLAVERY ANY MORE, BUT WE'LL BE IN THE ARMS OF HIM, AND IN THE CARE OF HIM

E-31    We are looking for a City whose Builder and Maker is God. When this old robe of flesh we'll drop and rise and seize the everlasting prize, and shout while passing through the air, "Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer." That's what we look for. We look for the day that when we'll be delivered from this old body of corruption. And it'll not be slavery any more, but we'll be in the arms of Him, and in the care of Him, and in the image of Him Who loved us and gave His life for us, that He might wash us by the Waters through the Word to make us presentable in the Presence of God. His presence goes with us; the Angels of God are encamped about those who fear Him.

And we know that He's here tonight. And if we, all the days of our life, we serve Him in holiness, but we're slaves to Him. If you haven't become a slave to God yet, to Christ, a bond slave in His love, let us bow our heads, and you think it over just a minute.

GOD'S SPIRIT COMES INTO YOU AND CHANGES YOUR DESIRE…IT’S A JOY TO SERVE THE LORD.

E-23    I believe that Christian life is a continual sacrifice. "He that will come after me, let him deny himself daily (every day, not forty-six days, but every day), take up his cross and follow Me," said Jesus. Not just forty-six, but every day... Christian life is one continually Lenten.

Oh, how the Christian loves to do it. He doesn't do it with a--a grudge; he does it with a feeling that he loves God; and he's glad he can do it. It's a joy to serve the Lord Jesus. It's a joy to sacrifice. It's a joy to worship the Lord.

It's a joy to be called a fanatic for the Kingdom of God's sake. It's a joy to take a stand for the right, and move from the wrong. Joy to praise Him. It's a joy to abstain from the things of the world.

It's in their heart. It's a perfect Lent. Lenten all the time. God's Spirit comes into you and changes your desire.

AND THE BIBLE SAID IN THE LAST DAYS, THERE WOULD BE TWO MARKS… ONE'S THE MARK OF THE BEAST, THE OTHER ONE WAS A SEAL OF GOD.

E-28    So you're a slave; you're marked. And the Bible said in the last days, there would be two marks. And every person on the earth would have one or the other. You just can't get out of it. One's the mark of the beast, the other one was a Seal of God.

And the Seal of God is the Holy Spirit, God's provided way for His Church. Ephesians 4:30 said, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you're sealed unto the day of your redemption."

And to reject that Holy Spirit is to take on the mark of the beast. All that didn't have the Mark of God had the mark of the devil. So, you're marked. You're either marked a bond slave in the love of God, or you're marked a slave to the things of the world of the devil.

WHEN YOU GO BACK OUT, YOU'LL BE THE MOST MISERABLE PERSON THAT YOU EVER DREAMED OF IN YOUR LIFE TILL YOU RETURN.

And every man or woman (hallelujah), that is born thoroughly of the Spirit of God, you may backslide. Yes, sir. When you go back out, you'll be the most miserable person that you ever dreamed of in your life till you return. And if you fail to do it, God will take your life off the earth. God promised to do it.

DIVINE.HEALING_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-9  SUNDAY_  54-1219M

IF THIS ISN'T THE WORD OF GOD, THEN IT ISN'T TRUE, THEN WE ARE FOUND AMONG PEOPLE MOST MISERABLE.

16    And let's remember, while we're obeying the Spirit, one great lesson that we want to learn is never be hastily (See?), take your time, have faith. If we have asked God anything, remember, God answers prayer. He does it in His time, the way it's best, makes it work just right for us. And if that isn't so, then what are we doing here this morning? What--what are we claiming Christianity for? God... If this isn't the Word of God, then It isn't true, then we are found among people most miserable.

I'm so glad to join hearts with many here that know that This is the infallible Word of God. Then It... It is every Word the Truth, every Word of It, every phase of It. And with the grace of God, as I've been privileged to view the land to which someday we shall travel...

ADOPTION.3_  JEFF.IN  AD.3  SUNDAY_  60-0522M

IF THAT ISN'T TRUE, THEN THE BIBLE ISN'T TRUE, AND YOUR SALVATION ISN'T TRUE, AND WE'RE LOST AND MISERABLE.

E-30    Now, if Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever... And God forgive me for saying "if," because it sounds sacrilegious. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. All right then, if you desire to see Him, then why can't you see Him? We are His servants, so why can't you see Him? Would you love to do it? Love to see Him? All right. I believe that He made this promise that "Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I'll be in their midst." Now, is that true?

If that isn't true, then the Bible isn't true, and your salvation isn't true, and we're lost and miserable. Of all people, we're the miserablest, because we got a bogus thing we're thinking of a Christ that's coming, and a heaven to go to, and there is no such.

Well, if this Word's wrong, then that Word is Him, and then all's wrong. But if It's right, then every Word of It's right. It isn't some for one time, some for another. It's all the time the same where He can find believers.

E-31    Now, if Jesus will come into this audience tonight visible... Now, He could not come in a corporal body, because that sets on the throne of God. But He can come in here by the Holy Spirit, and show you Himself being here, working in His church. Do you believe that? He has to be the... everything in the same principle. He has to have the same love, the same compassion, same works, same manifestation, if He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

AN EXPOSITION OF THE SEVEN CHURCH AGES

Chapter 9

THE LAODICEAN CHURCH AGE

AN EXPOSITION OF THE SEVEN CHURCH AGES - THE LAODICEAN CHURCH AGE

AN EXPOSITION OF THE SEVEN CHURCH AGES - GOD'S DIAGNOSIS

GOD'S DIAGNOSIS

Now what God saw was entirely different from what they said they saw. They said that they were rich in goods and Spiritually wealthy. They had arrived. They had need of nothing. But God saw it otherwise. He said, "You don't know this, but you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked." Now when a people are that way, especially naked and DON'T KNOW IT, there has to be something awfully wrong. Surely something must be happening. Is it not that God has blinded their eyes as He did to the Jews? Is the Gospel going back to the Jews? Is history repeating itself? I say it is.

God says this church of the Laodicean Age is "wretched". That word comes from two Greek words which mean 'endure' and 'trial.' And it has nothing to do with the trials that come to a true Christian for God describes a Christian in trial as "blessed" and his attitude one of joy whereas this description is phrased as "wretched and miserable".

How strange. In this age of plenty, in this age of progress, in this age of abundance, how can there be trials? Well now, it is strange; but in this age of plenty and opportunity, when everyone has so much and there is so much more to be had, what with all the inventions to do our work and so many things to give us pleasure, SUDDENLY, we find mental illness taking such a toll as to alarm the nation. When everybody ought to be happy, with really nothing to be unhappy about, millions are taking sedatives at night, pep pills in the morning, rushing to doctors, entering institutions, and trying to drown out unknown fears by alcohol.

Yes, this age boasts of its tremendous stores of worldly goods, but the people are less happy than ever. This age boasts of its spiritual attainments, but the people are less sure of themselves than ever.

This age boasts of better moral values and it is more corrupt than any age since the flood. It talks about its knowledge and science, but it is fighting a losing battle in all fields, for the human mind and soul and spirit cannot comprehend or keep abreast with all the changes that have come upon the earth.

In one generation we have gone all the way from the horse and buggy age to the space age, and we are proud and boastful about it; but inside is a dark void cavern that is crying out in torment, and WITHOUT A KNOWN REASON men's hearts are failing for fear and the world is so darkened that this age could well be called the age of neurotics. It boasts, but it cannot back it up.

It cries peace, and there is no peace. It cries that it has a great amplitude of all things, but it keeps burning with desire like an unsatisfied fire! "There is no peace," saith my God to the wicked.

IT'S JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY TO SERVE HIM.

Let's say, "Praise the Lord." [Congregation says, "Praise the Lord."--Ed.] Amen. Oh, thanks be to the Lord Jesus. My soul cries out and magnifies Him, Who is the Author of my life and your life. He is the Author of Everlasting Life, the Giver of every good gift, and sweet and lovely to those who love Him. No wonder He's so... Oh, I love to pour the adoration of my heart to Him. It's joy unspeakable and full of glory to serve Him. Never do I have a desire for anything else but to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Something strikes my soul and sways me when I know His Presence is around. Oh, what a feeling. My clothes fit me right, everything, when I know that He's near. You may call me a fanatic. That'll be all right. If it takes fanaticism to believe Jesus Christ, then I'm a fanatic. Amen. I love my Lord. And I know His blessings is with us. And we are the sheep of His fold. Let us come into green pastures and eat to our heart's desire. Amen. Praise the Lord.

SOME PEOPLE MIGHT THINK THAT IT'S SUCH A TASK TO SERVE THE LORD; BUT I THINK IT'S JOY… WHAT A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE GOD.

And to see you folks that was here last night back again tonight to the Gospel feast that we been having. The Lord's been blessing us...?... last night. I kind of lived on some of it yet today. You know, we kind of store up that manna, don't we, until the time when we need it. And we need it every hour.

Now, it's a marvelous thing to serve the Lord. There's nothing like it. Some people might think that it's such a task to serve the Lord; but I think it's joy. Oh, what a privilege to serve God.

THE.INTER.VEIL_  STURGIS.MI  SATURDAY_  56-0121

E-10    You never seen a man drunk and sober at the same time. You never seen a black white bird. There's no such a thing. And there's no right and wrong mixed together. It's either right or it's wrong.

And that's the way that I believe God. If I didn't believe that He was the same God that lived in the days of Moses, He wasn't the same God that fulfill every promise that He made, then I couldn't have faith to accept Him.

Now, there's only... That's only sensible and reasonable to think that... What good would it do us tonight... You're not here just to be seen. You wouldn't come out in this rain and gather in a little place like this just to be seen. You're here for one purpose; that's to find something good. And I pray that God will give each one of you something real good that you'll never forget. And each one of you Christians, may He raise your joy to Him to cause you to serve Him better than you've ever served Him in all your life.

Now, what good would it do to serve a God that served Moses, a God that Moses served, and if He wasn't the same God today? What good would it do to serve a historical God, if He's no--if He's powerless and gone and dead today? I want to ask you that question.

You wouldn't want to do it; neither would I. If I can't serve a God that's a living and right here present to help me when I have need, then what's the use of serving God? If He was a God, but He isn't a God now, or if He was a God of power, He's lost His power now, there's something weakening about that God. Isn't that right?

E-11    Now, we want to reason together. There's something wrong if it isn't... If He was and He isn't now, then there's something wrong with God. It's... If God was a great mighty warrior in battle and He was a great Healer of diseases, and He was great in all of His attributes in the days gone by, and then He lost all of His power, and He isn't the same today, yet His Word says He is the same today, promised He'd do the very same things through all ages, until He come again... It's undisputable in the Bible.

E-12    Hebrews 13--8:13, 13:8, rather, says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That's the same in principle, the same in power, the same in resurrection, the same in omnipotence, the same in omnipresence, the same in--in--in all. He's--He's just the same as He was. And everything that He once was, He is today. The Scripture says that's true. All things of Him is the same.

WHAT A JOY IT IS, AND A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE GOD. GIVE IT TO THESE YOUNG PEOPLE, LORD.

E-90    O God, never let nothing happen to... If I can't serve You, take me now. Let me go now. What a joy it is, and a privilege to serve God. Give it to these young people, Lord. They've got an awful battle. Look at them. Look at what they got. Look at their television: rotten and polluted. Look at the nation they're coming up in here: politics rotten to the core, the antichrist arising in seat and power. The world, American people, don't know what a struggle is. They don't know how to do without. They never had to miss a meal. O God, just look. Glamour and Hollywood, and it's even got into assembly line religion in the churches, and streamlined Hollywood. No more old fashion all night prayer meetings, and agonizing, and praying, and having fellowship around the things of God, No more praying through.

God, these children need that. I pray that they'll receive it tonight. I'm keeping my eyes closed, Lord; I'm going to believe that You're going to send every one of them straight to that room. Grant it, Father. Let it be done, Lord. Please do. And I can shake their hand on that day, and say, "Yeah, a little old chopped up message, one night, "As the Eagle Stirs It's Nest."...

E-91   You stirred the nest of the world that they lived in. They getting tired of it, Lord. They're raising up their hands; they're looking up. How great Thou art. How great Thou art. May they flee, Lord, into the heavenly blues, where they can fellowship up there with fellow kinsman of the same gospel. Eagle's food, may they eat. Grant it, Lord. Not be an earthbound chicken that wolves and them young ladies... That old wolf stuff they having today, the--the boogie-woogie, and rock-and-roll, and let them know, Lord, it's just the thing to tear their precious souls out of them, and send them to a devil's hell, callous their hearts, pull it through these old movie stories, and true stories, when it's all lies, and fiction, and make-up. Let them look at these big wings of God, the New and Old Testament, and say, "There I'll take my stand, right there upon that rock."

Grant it, Lord. I'm trusting that each one of them is in that room now. Grant it, I pray in Christ's Name. Amen.

DO WHAT WE CAN FOR THOSE PEOPLE, AND TO TRY TO HELP OTHERS THAT MAYBE DOESN'T KNOW THE JOY OF LIVING THAT LIFE.

E-3    You know, when we live to serve, and to do what we can for those people, and to try to help others that maybe doesn't know the joy of living that life. Some people think that when you become a Christian that it take--just takes all the joy out of life. It's just vice versa. I--I have lived both ways.

This is thirty-one years I've been preaching, and I have... I would not trade this life if there wasn't even any heaven to go to at the end of it, if there wasn't any Jesus to see. I have more joy living this way than I--one day, than I would ten years any other way, if there wasn't nothing after. But... That's really from my heart, as your brother and God's servant. There's such a peace and a satisfaction, knowing that when you lay down, if you never wake again, what difference does it make? See? You're--you're--you're saved, that--that anchor that holds within the veil somewhere out there, something that tells us that the good's just the other side.
