Luk 14:16  Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 

Luk 14:17  And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. 

Luk 14:18  And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. 

Luk 14:19  And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. 

Luk 14:20  And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. 

Luk 14:21  So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. 

Luk 14:22  And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. 

Luk 14:23  And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 

Ecc 6:12  For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun? 

Jer 17:5  Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 

Jer 17:6  For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 

Jer 17:7  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 

Jer 17:8  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. 

Jer 17:9  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 

Jer 17:10  I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

*THE ANALYSIS OF A MAN'S BODY THAT WEIGHED A HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS:

52    Notice. Here not long ago I was down in Florida. What gets me is to see people who think they're better than somebody else. Brother, we got plenty of it. That's right. What are you anyhow? Six foot of dirt.

I was passing by a museum not long ago, and they had the analysis of a man's body that weighed a hundred and fifty pounds: worth eighty four cents. That's right. A hundred and fifty pound man has got enough chemicals about him to make eighty four cents, just about enough whitewash to sprinkle a hen's nest. And oh, I don't know, a little bit of calcium you could hold on the end of a pen or something. Worth eighty four cents, then you'll put a five dollar hat on it and stick your nose up. It if was to rain, you'd drown. Some woman are at the... That's right. And you'll think you're something. That's right.

Brother, what the world needs today, is not a new man or not a new president, but an old fashion Saint Paul's revival and the Bible Holy Ghost preached back in His church in Its power. That's right.

*WHAT MORE YOU COULD EVER FIND , THAT WOULD BE MORE OF A BENEFIT TO YOU, THAN TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?

  56      When God sends the Holy Ghost and knocks at a man's door, and he deliberately turns It down, sometime he's going to turn It for his last time, and then you won't be a privileged character. You can set in a church and listen to the Gospel, and agree with the Gospel. You might do so much as say, "I know It's right," but never put a finger on It, to help It, yourself. See? You just listen to It, 'cause you say, "I believe It's right." That's just sympathizing with It.

And this is Eternal Life. And to refuse to do it, one day you'll cross the line between judgment and mercy, and then you won't be have the privilege to come and receive It.

57    To you people who come here. I'm not responsible for those who... or--or other ministers are speaking to. But, if It's right, you owe your life to It. What more could you ever find, that would be more of a benefit to you, than to know that you can have Eternal Life?

*BY REJECTING THE DAY OF VISITATION, IT SEPARATES YOU FROM GOD.

  58      What if I was giving away capsules here, that, scientifically proven, scientifically proven that this capsule would make you live a thousand years? Well, I--I'd have to get a militia out here, and swarm them away from the place. You wouldn't have to make an altar call for it. You just have to beat them away from it, to live a thousand years.

And, yet, scientifically proven that the Eternal God, all His power of His resurrections, which promise you Eternal Life, and Satan will put his legions out there and keep you away from It. See? Yet, you can look, and sensible enough to look in the face of It and see It's right, but then turn It down. See?

59    Something, some kind of an excuse. "It's too hot. I'm too tired. I will, tomorrow." Just some kind of an excuse, that's all they do. By rejecting the day of visitation, it separates you from God.

THEY'VE GOT TO STAND ON THEIR OWN TWO FEET, BEFORE JESUS CHRIST, AND GIVE AN ANSWER.

  84      Every man, every son that comes to God, has got to go through that hour of testing. This is the age of women, this nation is, where she has to go through that testing. If she can be a pretty woman, and act like a sister, the Lord's blessings upon her. But when she can get herself to--to know this, and display herself, absolutely shows that she's got a--a bad spirit on her. She don't mean to be that way, I don't think, many of them don't. But they don't realize that.

85    Could you tell me that a decent, thinking woman could put herself on, these little clothes that they wear out here on the street?

86    I've got two young girls setting here. I don't know what the outcome of them kids will be. I just pray for them. Kids, today, I don't... You can't tell. I don't know. They're not immune from that. They've got to stand on their own two feet, before Jesus Christ, and give an answer. They can't go in on what... on--on what I believe, and what their mother believes. I don't know what they do. But I actually believe, in this hour, if them girls went out on a street, with them kind of clothes on, and a man insulted them, in them kind of clothes, I don't believe, if I had the opportunity, I could even condemn the man. That's right. I condemn the girls. They had no business doing that.

BUT, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DO IT, DON'T NEVER TRY TO CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN, 'CAUSE YOU'RE NOT.

  79    Women ought to look to Jesus Christ. You ought to look to Sarah and them of the Old Testament.

80      Now, they got so that... I was preaching the other night, somewhere, about women to obey their husband. Obey? Yeah. That went out of the marriage ritual, a long time ago. But they ain't going to do that. No, sir. They live in America, and they let you know so. They're not going to obey. But, as long as you don't do it, don't never try to call yourself a Christian, 'cause you're not. I don't care how much you dance and speak with tongues, if you don't obey your husband, you're out of the will of God.

81    A woman that wears shorts and does these things that she does on the street, don't call yourself a Christian. You want to have the world and still hold your testimony. You cannot do that in the Presence of God, when you know better than to do it.

*THE WORD WAS GIVE TO THE CHURCH; THAT'S HER STRENGTH.

35      This Word is God, that was given to His Church to defeat the world and the devils, and the sickness, and to cast out devils, and no denomination was give to the Church. The Word was give to the church; That's her strength. But they've cut This away, they've cut That away, and they shaved off This lock, and shaved off That lock, until she stands shorn today, like a Catholic sister, shorn off, until she has accepted a bunch of man-made creeds for her doctrine, just exactly what the prophet said she would do. And here she stands today, humiliated. When the God of Heaven has chose the ignorant fishermen, and so forth, and has come down in that and proving It, that He still remains God, and they can't give an answer to their congregation for It because it's not connected with any denomination. And she stands humiliated, where she ought to have been standing in her strength.

*WHEN GOD IS MAKING A VISIT TO THE CHURCH AND TO THE PEOPLE, RECEIVE IT THEN.

  68      And, now, today is no different from any other day, to reject the day of the visitation. When God is making a visit to the Church and to the people, receive It then. Don't put it off till next year, the next revival. That's the hour, "Today is the day of salvation."

69    And remember, God has never sent a Message, in any day, but what He vindicated It with the supernatural. Jesus said, Hisself, "If I do not the works of My Father, then believe Me not. But if I do the works, you believe the works if you can't believe Me," and when you see it clearly cut and--and made manifest.

70    Now the time has come that she rejects It, then she's bored in the ear with an awl, then she'll never hear It. Now she takes herself to the confederation of churches, to go right in to take the mark of the beast.

*AND A LIFE THAT DOESN'T FOLLOW CHRIST, DAILY, IS NOT WORTHY.

76    We cannot do that. We've got to follow, every day, every hour of the day, every step of the way. We've got to be led by the Lord Jesus Christ. If we don't, we take an organizational life. And a life that doesn't follow Christ, daily, is not worthy.

  77      A man that's a Christian on Sunday, and goes to church, sets back there and thinks he owns the church because he does this, that, or the other, and on Monday will steal and lie. And women that'll go out on the public beaches, and--and out upon the streets, with immoral clothes on!

78    I thought of--of the first lady, wouldn't even put on makeup, to go before the pope; and come back, and set a waterhead haircut spree for the women in the nation. And all these dresses, that, when she's become mother, every woman in the country wants to wear one of them mother-type dresses now. That's right. It's examples. And they know that those people would do that. They take on a spirit of the world. And that don't belong in the Church of the living God.

*PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP TO CHRIST.

129    A Christian is not a tool, or some kind of a mechanical wrench to a great big religious regime. That's right. A Christian is not some kind of tool that keeps a religious organization moving. A Christian, that is not a Christian. A Christian is to be Christ-like. And a Christian cannot be a Christian until Christ comes into the man, the Life of Christ in him. Then it produces the Life that Christ lived, and you do the things that Christ did.

130    What am I talking about? Personal relationship to Christ. What is it? Is your life worthy of the Gospel?

*YOU ONLY HAVE TWO THINGS…TO REJECT THE SEAL OF GOD IS TO TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST.

63    You only have two things. One of them, is, accept It, takes the Seal of God. To reject It, takes the mark of the beast. To reject the Seal of God is to take the mark of the beast. Everybody understand? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] To reject the Seal of God is to take the mark of the beast. For, the Bible said, "All that was not sealed by the Seal of God took the mark of the beast."

64    When the trumpet sounded, and all wanted to go free could go. Them that didn't, was marked.

Now, you see, the mark of the beast, if we talk about it in the future, is when it's going to be made manifest, when you realize it's what you've already done. See? And so is the Holy Spirit, It's to be manifested. When we see the Lord Jesus coming in glory, and feel that transforming power, and see the dead rising out of the grave, and know, in a second longer, we'll be changed and have a body like His. It'll be made manifest. Then, to see those who rejected It, will be left down, out.

*BUT WHERE IS THE SPIRIT OF GOD THAT CAN GRASP GOD, THAT CAN RECOGNIZE THE WORD ITSELF WHEN IT'S MADE MANIFEST , CAN RECOGNIZE TRUTH?

 94      And the church stands stronger in members than it did forty years ago, but where is the Spirit of God? Oh, my! Where is the Spirit of God in it? I see the spirit of Hollywood. I see the spirit of the world. I see the spirit of glamour. Go right through, I've been fifteen years preaching against it, and it's just worsening all the time. I can see it, and I can see the spirit there. But where is the Spirit of God that can grasp God, that can recognize the Word Itself when It's made manifest, can recognize Truth? Only the Spirit of God can do that. That's right. You can take glitter, polish, showmanship.

Psa 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 

Psa 51:11  Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 

Psa 51:12  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 

Psa 51:13  Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 

Psa 51:14  Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 

Psa 51:15  O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. 

Psa 51:16  For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 

Psa 51:17  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. 

Psa 51:18  Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. 

Psa 51:19  Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Mar 9:17  And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; 

Mar 9:18  And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. 

Mar 9:19  He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. 

Mar 9:20  And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. 

Mar 9:21  And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 

Mar 9:22  And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. 

Mar 9:23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 

Mar 9:24  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. 

Mar 9:25  When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. 

Mar 9:26  And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. 

Mar 9:27  But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. 

Mar 9:28  And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? 

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 

Heb 11:2  For by it the elders obtained a good report. 

Heb 11:3  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 

Heb 11:4  By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 

Heb 11:5  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

 

Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 

Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 

Eph 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 

Eph 6:16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 

Eph 6:17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 

Eph 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 

THE BATTLE OF THE MIND 2

38 Worry has no virtue to it, at all. Yeah, just—just—just skip worry, and accept faith.

39 Someone said, “Well, now, what if you’re going to be shot in the morning, wouldn’t you worry?”

I said, “No, don’t think so.”

“Why?”

I said, “Worry couldn’t do nothing but make me worse.”

“Well, what good is it going to do to have faith?”

I said, “It might deliver me.” And that’s right, see.

40 So worry has no virtue to it, at all, but faith has all virtue. Believe!

Now worry sometime cause it.

41 And another thing that cause it among the people, is getting between two opinions. That’ll cause amnesia. And it gets you to a place where you—you, actually, what you’ve done, you’ve lost your reasons. You’ve lost your mind. You can’t make…You don’t know who you are. You can’t identify yourself. You can walk around, eat and everything, but, you, still you can’t identify yourself. You have got your scholarly education, you can…same education you had, but you don’t know where it come from, you don’t know who you are, where you belong. That’s amnesia, so we are told.

71 Many people come to me, many times in the prayer line, and stand there and say, “Oh, Brother Branham, I have plenty faith. I’ve got faith like to move mountains.” And, yet, they haven’t any faith. They hardly have enough faith to get to the platform. But they are conscious of one thing, that they do believe. They are believing intellectually with their mind. And their mind will never bring them to God. Your mind is reasonings. And God has no reasonings.

72 If you can reason it out, your mind will tell you, “Now looky here, the doctor says I can’t get over that. It’s impossible.”

73 Now, the doctor, with his intellects, with his intelligence, with his knowledge of medical science, he has told you the best of the travel of his mind. And you take in your mind, and using the same thing the doctor has told you, you…God can never touch that line, as long as you reason. But let’s put down reasoning. God never made us to live by our intellect. We live by the Holy Spirit that’s in our soul, that says “no” to any reasonings that’s contrary to God’s Word.

74 When God’s Word says it’s so, there is nothing in the world stands in Its way. Then when you do that, you’re getting down on the right side of God. You’re getting down till you can ask what you want to, and it’ll be given to you, ’cause there’s nothing between there. There’s no reason. Let’s cast away those reasonings. They stand in your way. Get your mind out of the way. And don’t you say what you reason, what you see, what you think. Say what God says to be the Truth. And that can only come from the inside, from the heart, not from the intellects.

18 Now, Paul speaking here of the valley, or the shadow, rather, the law, being a shadow of good things to come, could never make the worshipper perfect. Then he goes on to show what the perfection is. Now, it’s a strange thing that this is so much thought of people; they say, “Well, I’m weak; my faith is not very much; I’m not a very good Christian.” That’s just what the devil wants you to say. You’re just talking his language right then. See? You mustn’t never say that. Don’t never let your testimony be negative; let it be positive all the time. “I am saved. I have God in my heart. I believe Him with all my heart.” Do you believe in Divine healing? “With all of my heart.”

Let your—your testimony always and your thoughts, everything…Never permit a negative thought to come in your mind if you can help it. When it starts that, don’t entertain it. Well, you say, “I can’t help the thoughts from coming.” Well, that’ll be like the farmer that said he couldn’t stop—he couldn’t stop the birds from flying over his place, but he could sure stop them from roosting.” So that’s a—that’s a good thing. You see? You can’t help the thoughts when they come, but don’t—don’t—don’t entertain them; just pass it on. “No, sir. Jesus Christ is my Saviour; all things are mine by God. And I—I’m going to keep them. I’m going to testify of them.”

And God can only bless you as you confess that He has done it for you. See, He’s the High Priest of our confession. Is that right? Hebrews 3. He said that He’s the High Priest of our confession. He can only do for us as we accept it, and believe it, and confess it.

67 You know, I heard someone was in a meeting here, some time ago. Someone said, “Just let your mind go blank now. Just look right straight up towards the skies. Let your mind go blank. You’ll get an experience.” And no doubt but what you do. That’s right. But, you get an experience, but what an experience? You see, when you do that, you just open your soul to Satan. He’ll give you something. That’s true.

68 But, I think, a person coming to Christ should come with all the intelligence they got, and quoting in their mind, when they come to Him, every promise in the Scripture. Keep your mind alert, when you come to Christ. Don’t let it go blank. The devil will make you do anything. See? They’ll give you a sensation. He can do that, too. But you want an experience, something that the Bible teaches, something that’s real.

A CARNAL MIND

ROMANS 8:6-7

  6    For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

  7    Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1 COR 3:1-3

1.  And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

 2    I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

 3    For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

134 Isn’t that just the modern Christian today? Oh, let the healing take place, and they’re shouting the victory. Let the Power of the Holy Spirit fall, and they’re shouting the victory. And those who are really filled with the Holy Ghost, remains that way down through life’s journey.

135 But the man that’s still walking with the carnal mind, let a little discouragement come up, something go wrong, and they go away, saying, “Well, I thought it was all right, but, oh, my, look at it now. I thought that little church would never fail. I thought this person…” You got your mind on the wrong thing. See? Put your mind on Him that can’t fail. Let your conversation not be about your church, but about your Lord. That’s the One. Not about your neighbor, but about your Lord. Let your conversations be of Him.

17 A little girl, she looks like, she was an alcoholic. And she was in one of the greatest Protestant churches in the states the other day giving a testimony. And the people wept when she told them how that she’d been brought from a drunkard’s grave, where five of the best doctors in the nation said, “She’s hopeless.” The A. A., Alcoholics Anonymous give her up as a hopeless case.

And when she come to the platform, the Holy Spirit said, “Rosella Griffith, you are an alcoholic and so-and-so and such a things has happened. But THUS SAITH THE LORD…” And she was delivered. She gave her testimony. The people wept. And after while somebody said, “Oh, she was a darling child, but she’s Pentecostal.”

Don’t you see that old man-made green-eyed devil? Oh, you can’t polish it up. It’s still sin and unbelief. I don’t care if it was a Jehovah Witness, or any other kind of a witness, as long as God’s there I’ll be with it. Correct. When God moves in the Spirit, His children moves with It.

Someone’s recorder…I’m sorry. I’m not excited, but I feel real religious. Oh, there’s just something about it gets all over you. The Word…Not all over you, but all in you, It moves every little fiber inside of you.

Man works by his head and looks by his eye. See the devil said to the woman, “Oh, the tree is pleasant.”

She said, “It’s good to look at.” See that same devil, if he can get you to stop just for a minute, he can make you reason it out. He can make you think with your mind. But God doesn’t use a man’s head. God uses his heart. God works on his heart while the devil works on his head. God chose the heart. The Bible says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

93 Just around the corner, when you get to thinking about Divine healing, get to thinking about Christ, keep Him on your mind. “If there be any praise, if there be any virtue,” the Bible said, “think on these things.”

94 If any thought comes by, “Well, maybe it couldn’t be so. Maybe it…” Get it off your mind right quick. Think on things that’s positive. Never let a negative thought pass through; just, or, don’t let it stop, anyhow, if it starts through. Keep your thoughts positive: Jesus.

95 Don’t think, setting here in a wheelchair, you, that you’re hopeless, helpless. You’re not. Don’t let that negative thought ever pass through, or, don’t let it anchor. You can’t help it from going through your mind (That’s right.), but don’t let it stop.

96 Like the old farmer said, “I can’t keep the birds from flying over my place.” But he had a double-barrel shotgun, said, “I can sure keep them from roosting.” So you do the same thing, and you too. See? Don’t let them roost. Let them pass right on through.

97 Now, here’s the shotgun to use. Both New and Old Testament, it’s a double barrel. It’s very good, too. I’ll tell you, It keeps them all away.

77 But, your mind accepts It. It grasps It. What is your mind controlled by? Your spirit. And your spirit catches the Word of God, and that’s the thing that’s got Life in It. It brings Life into you. Oh, brother! When that takes place, when Life comes down that channel, into you, the Word of God is manifested in you. “If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, then ask what you will and it’ll be done for you.”

78 Then what does that do? From the middle of the heart, which is the soul, from there goes forth, feeding every channel. The trouble of it is, we’re standing in here with a lot of doubt, trying to accept what’s out there. You’ve got to stop that; and come down that channel with the true Word of God, and then it goes out, itself, automatically. It’s what’s on the inside. That’s the thing that counts, is the inside.

Satan’s approach is from the inside.

79 Now, you say, “I don’t steal. I don’t drink. I don’t do these things.” That has nothing to do with it.

80 See, it’s the inside. No matter how good you are, how moral you are, how truthful you are, those things are respected. But Jesus said, “Except a man be borned again.” See? There’s got to be something happen inside. If you don’t, that’s artificial put-on, for down in your heart you desire to do it anyhow. It’s can’t be artificial. It’s got to be real.

81 And there’s only one avenue that that can come down, and that’s by the way of free moral agency, come into the soul, by your thoughts. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” “If you say to this mountain, ‘Move,’ and don’t doubt in your heart, but believe that what you have said will come to pass, you can have what you said.” You get it? There you are. See? There’s the battlegrounds. If you’d only get that started, first.

86 It’s got to come down the line of free moral agency. You, yourself, let the Word of God…You don’t come because your mother was a good woman. You don’t come because you’re a good neighbor. You come because that God calls you to come, and you accept Him on the basis of His Word. That Word is what means everything. That Word! If you can get everything out of the way, all conscience, all senses, and just let the Word come in, that Word will produce just exactly.

89 Well, that’s what’s the matter with our pentecostal Faith today. We’ve let too many things hinder It, the Faith that we been taught, the Holy Spirit that’s been living in us. We’ve let too many things, looking at somebody else.

90 And the devil is always trying to point you to somebody’s failure, but he tries to keep you away from the real testimony that’s genuine. He’ll point you to a hypocrite, some time, who went out impersonating something. He didn’t do it, because he was impersonating. But if it come from the true source of the Word of God, “Heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word cannot pass away,” It’s got to stay there.

91 It must be accepted in the mind, then It’s believed with the heart. Then the Word of God becomes a reality, then every senses of soul and body is just scoured out with the Holy Spirit. Then your sense of God, your conscience of God, everything that’s godly, flows through you. There’s not a doubt anywhere. There’s nothing can rise up.

92 There’s nothing can come up in the memory, and say, “Well, I remember Miss Jones tried to trust God, and Miss So-and-so. Miss Doe tried to trust God for healing, one time, and she failed.” See?

He had the Word, and the Word was in him, and he could know It; he said, "I've hid It in my heart, Lord. It--It won't bloom out and act like It should, but I've hid It there Lord. I've hid It." But when Jesus came, which was the Word made manifest took the germ life out of it and brings it back to the Word now. And if David's cup run over, what ought ours to do?...?... Without the Spirit. Amen. Isn't He wonderful? You love Him?

BUT BEFORE THERE CAN BE A HARVEST THERE HAS TO BE A RIPENING, A MATURING OF BOTH THE VINES.

        And so we come to the last age: the Laodicean Age. That is our age. We know it is the last age for the Jews are back in Palestine. No matter how they got there; they are there. And this is harvest time.

        But before there can be a harvest there has to be a ripening, a maturing of both the vines.

*THE BRIDE CHURCH WILL MATURE, AND HER RIPENESS SHALL BE AN IDENTIFICATION WITH HER LORD BY MEANS OF THE WORD

        Now I said a moment ago that the false vine came into full fruition in this age. Her fruit would mature and ripen. That is correct. This evil-spirited church, full of iniquity, will be revealed as the mustard seed that grew into a tree wherein lodged the fouls of the air. At her head will be the antichrist, the mystery of iniquity. All this is true. And if this is true, then it must also be true that the Bride Church will mature, and her ripeness shall be an identification with her Lord by means of the Word, and her Head Who will come to her is the Mystery of Godliness, Which indeed is Christ. And as the false church with all cunning and diabolical power made up of political force, physical force and demons of darkness come against this true vine, the true vine with the fullness of the Spirit and the Word will do the very acts of power that Jesus did. Then as she nears her Headstone, becoming like Him through the Word, Jesus will come that the bride and Groom may be forever united as one.

        Already the visible manifestations of what I have been telling you are seen all around us. The ecumenical move of the tares is factual. But also it is a fact that the prophet for the last age must be bringing forth a message from God that will forerun the second coming of the Lord, for by his message will the hearts of the children be turned back to the Pentecostal fathers, and with the restoration of the Word will come the restoration of the power.

THUS IS THE TRUE SEED ALREADY MATURING, AND THEN THE HARVEST.

        What crucial times are these in which we live. How careful we must be that we remain true to this Word and not take from it or add to it, for he who would speak where God has not spoken makes Him a liar…..The original wheat seed of Pentecost was to come back in the last age. It had been buried at Nicaea. It sent up a shoot at Sardis. It grew a tassel at Philadelphia, and it was to mature at Laodicea. But it could not be back to the original until the Word was restored. The prophet had not yet come upon the scene. But now according to the time wherein we stand in the Laodicean Age, the 'Prophet-messenger' of Revelation 10:7 must already be in the land. Once more "Thus saith the Lord" must be here, ready to be manifested with infallible vindication. Thus is the True Seed already maturing, and THEN THE HARVEST.

        Harvest time. Yes, harvest time. The two vines that grew together and intertwined their branches are now to be separated. The fruits of those vines which were at such variance will be gathered into separate garners. The two spirits will go to their separate destinations. Now it is time to heed the final call that comes only to the Wheat Bride, 'Come out of her My people that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye (wheat) receive not her (tares) plagues (the great tribulation of the sixth seal and Matthew 24).

        That's the way with people who profess Christ. Many of them look like Christians, try to act like Christians; but you've got to have Christ on the inside of you, which is the Word made manifest, or it'll never mature into a real Bible-believing Christian. It'll always be a denominational something. It cannot live, because there's no Life in it, to live.

        An egg cannot hatch, it rots right in the nest, if it hasn't been with the--with the male bird.

        86    Just like members of a church. You can baby them and call them, make them deacons and everything else, but they'll... you have a nest full of rotten eggs unless they've mated with the Mate. That's right.

        87    Carrier, the shuck, it nurtured it. That's right. Then it, that is, the seed itself, has to leave the shuck, or the shuck has to leave the seed, to get the seed in the presence of the sun, so it can be ripening. All in a type, we see.

       40      Like the heat of the sun, to open up. When it's tender and young, bring it out of the ground, the seed; then give it its leaves, in another stage of the sun. Hot sun will kill it if it's the ripening seed... or ripening time. So, He regulates the sun and regulates nature, to meet His Word.

He regulates the Church, the predestinated, the Bride, to meet the season that they are living in.

       41    Even nature itself tells us today, as we see the nations breaking, the earth sinking in, the handwriting is on the wall. We see the church and the states it's in.

       We see the Bride and the state She is in. And we know, by nature, that the Church is getting ready to leave. What a glorious time! It's a time that all the prophets longed to see, this hour.

Jesus read the same Bible that the Pharisees read, but they had... Trying to keep the corn in a early stage, when it was ripening, they fail to see their hour.

      43    God reveals this Word in the season, and to whom He chooses to reveal It to. God chooses who He reveals It to. He chose that before the foundation of the world. All of His doings were foreknown by Him, hidden from man. He just reveals them as He will. It is His chosen season, His chosen person. And He never did choose a party or sect; it's a chosen person, how He does it.

THE TRUE CHURCH THAT STARTED IN GENESIS HAS COME DOWN TO THE FRUIT TIME, THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.

        Genesis was a planting of the seed, and these six thousand years has been the maturing of the harvest; and now the seed has become a seed itself. It's went back to the blossom and from the blossom to the--to the fruit. And it's the gathering time now, harvest time, all the great things that started. The true Church that started in Genesis has come down to the fruit time, the fruit of the Spirit. And the antichrist that started in Genesis is come down to its fruit. And we're just in the closing time of this world's entire dispensation, the--of the mortal being.

And we're... It's the greatest time that anyone, or that any age ever lived, is this time. It's a shaking time. It's a troublesome time for sinners. But it's a marvelous time for Christians, because we know that we are--are packing up, or gathering the last little efforts together to go home and meet the Lord. Now, people today as you look around and see the great trouble and distress facing the nation, where...

36 A devil is almost harmless unless he can have something to work in. He’s got…You remember those devils that were cast out of Legion? They had…they want to do more mischievousness, so they wanted to go in the hogs. So, devils must have something to work in, somebody to work through.

37 And that’s the way God does, too. He has to have us. He’s depending on us, to work through us.

68 When this great battle started on earth, there had to be a mutual meeting place. There had to be a place selected for the battle to begin, and for the battle to rage. And that battlegrounds begin in the human mind. There is where the battle starts. The human mind was chosen for the place of the battle, where it was begin, and that is because that decisions are made from the mind, the head. Now, they never started it from some organization. They never started it from some mechanical affair. The grounds never started there. Therefore, that organization can never, never do the work of God, because the battlegrounds, where you’ve got to meet your enemy, is in the mind. You’ve got to make your choice. It meets you.

70 Decisions are made in the mind, the head. There is where Satan meets you, and the decisions are, because that God made a man that way.

62 This great, first battle that was ever fought, begin in Heaven, when Michael and His Angels fought against Lucifer and his angels. It first started, the first battle was in Heaven. So, sin did not originate on earth, it originated in Heaven.

63 And then it was thrown down from Heaven, cast out of Heaven, to the earth, and fell on human beings. Then the battle, from angels, become human battles. And Satan come to destroy God’s creation, what God had created to be for Hisself. He had, Satan, come to destroy this. That’s what his purpose was, was to destroy it. Then the battle begin here on earth, and begin in us, and has been raging ever since.

64 Now, before any battle can be put in array, they first have to choose a meeting ground, or a place where the battle is to be fought, a selected place.

71 Now, I have (if you was looking on my note here) a little map drawed out. I had it here not long ago, on…used on the board. The human being is made up just like a grain of wheat. It’s a seed. And the human being is a seed. Physically, you’re the seed of your father and mother; and the life come from the father, the pulp come from the mother. So, the two, together, the egg and the—the blood, comes together. And in the blood cell is life. And in there it begins, develop, making the—the child. Now, any seed has a shell on the outside; the inside is pulp; and inside of the pulp is the germ of life. Well, that’s the way we’re made. We are body, soul, and spirit. The outside, the body, the shell; the inside of that, the conscience and so forth, is the soul; and the inside the soul, is a spirit. And the spirit governs all the other.

72 Now, if you’ll sit down when you get home, and draw three little rings. You’ll find out that the outside body has five senses it’s contacted by, and that is see, taste, feel, smell, hear. That’s the five senses that control the human body.

73 Inside of the body is a soul, and that soul is controlled by imaginations, conscience, memory, reasons, and affections. That’s the thing that controls the soul.

74 But, the spirit, it only has one sense. The spirit…Oh, let’s get it. The spirit has one sense, and that sense is, either dominates it, is faith or doubt. That’s exactly. And there’s only one avenue to it, that’s free moral agency. You can accept doubt or you can accept faith, either one you want to work on. Therefore, Satan begin at the principal part, to cause the spirit of man to doubt God’s Word. God begin at the principal part, to lay His Word in that spirit. There you are. That’s what does it.

75 If this church, right now could be put together, and knitted together with such that every person would be in one accord, with not one shadow of doubt anywhere, there would not be a feeble person in our midst, in another five minutes. There would not be nobody here desiring the Holy Ghost but what would receive It, if you could just get that certain thing fixed. Now, there is where the battle begins, right in your mind, whether you will.
