  E-55    You know, people reads the Bible... They... you don't... In reading the Bible, you don't want to just read It just bare like you was reading a newspaper. This Bible is hid from the wise and prudent. I don't care how great your school is, your seminary, you will never know nothing about God, until you get in love with God. You have to read between the lines. It's hid.

When I get a letter from Mrs. Branham, now, she'd say--she'd say, "Dear Billy, I--I--I love you much, and I'm thinking of you." That's what she is saying on the paper, but I can read between the lines. 'Cause I'm in love with her. And I know what she is talking about.

Then if you have God's Word in you, you have God's Life in you. You have God in you. And whatever God's Word speaks forth out of you, It'll have to come to pass just like it was spoke from God.

He came here in order that He could anchor death in His own body, He could anchor sickness in His own body. The curse that ought to have been on you, He took it upon Himself, and had to die as a man in order to redeem you back to this full fellowship with the Father again. What a marvelous thing.

Our--our hearts can't conceive what a thing that was, what He did. But we're too slow. Our minds are sluggish. The--the valves have been stopped up. They've been paralyzed by unbelief, and fear, and doubt. And it can't flow free like it should do it, unless we let the Holy Spirit so dominate our lives till It pushes those valves till life begins to start to operating. See? Then we can see then. Sure, it's the Father.

  E-39    Then unconsciously your faith is there. You don't have to worry about whether you got faith enough to do this, or faith enough to do that. It's just there anyhow. You just do it because the Father said so. And it's the living Word in you, and God's in you, manifesting Hisself just like He was in Christ. You say, "As He was in Christ?" Yes, sir.

He said, "The works that I do shall you also; even more than this for I go to My Father." Now, that's His Word, Saint John 14:12. He gave that promise. Everyone will believe that was inspired. And...

  478-49    The word "death" means "separated." Now, physically, we separate from our physical sight, because that's still sin, but our spirit is of God that can never be separated from God, because we are a part of God. We are--we are bringing... We are brought back into that thought of God. Everything that God does is perfect and eternal. And when God's very thoughts went out for a kingdom of people who would worship Him, them very thoughts is eternal. See? They can no more perish. Every word of God is eternal.   E-27    And the great Jehovah without beginning or without ending, without--without beginning of days or ending of years has give us Life through Jesus Christ, and Him alone. Not just to recognize Him as a good Person, not to just worship Him as He would be a God, which He is, the God. But the thing to do is to know Him. That's it. The devils worshipped Him, certainly. Every knee shall bow to Him. And the young lady with her choice boyfriend, and she's got a drink or two and she'll say, "This is life."

Or maybe the man who's always wanted lots of money, and all of a sudden he falls heir to a great amount of money. He will build a great home. He will get the finest of car. He will scream, "This is life."

The poor, little wash woman with her babies, she'll get a trip to Hollywood. And she'll become queen for a day on some program, or some of those things, or win some portion of goods. It'll thrill her to a place where she'll say, "This is life."

E-29    But how perverted it is. That's death. And those will perish who have it. And we notice today... Now, I might be just a little bit old fashion on these things and kindly cut corners and mash hard, but it's to really... The intense of it is to show a point.

We are... If we're rejoicing over the world, and the evil things, our minds and our souls are inspired by below. Boogie-woogie, dances, heartaches, drinking, all these other things that we run after, it's from below. But if we rejoice in the Spirit, that we have Eternal Life, and we raise our emotions to God and praise Him, then we have joy. Then we have joy. Jesus said, "I... That your joys might be full..." But not full of the perverted life, but full of Eternal Life, above. So you can see, it depends on what you look at.

And tonight I'm going down to the potter's house to lay my heart down and say, 'God, break it all up and give me a new heart, a new spirit, and put Your Spirit right in the middle of it, and let my life run right along according to Your Word. Make me a Micaiah of this day, that I can stand on THUS SAITH THE LORD. And my vision, and my life, that--that I live before You, not I, but the Spirit in me, lives the life that the Bible requires.   120    You know, people have things in common. You know, people who love the Lord, they like to go to church, because they--they have things in common. They--they... We have common grounds for things. We come here because we're all believers in this--this way of worship. We believe in Divine healing; that's the reason you bring your sick here. You don't go to places they don't believe in Divine healing to--to get healed. You go to places where they believe in Divine healing. And we believe in worshipping the Lord in the Spirit. And that's why you come here, is because we have... It's fellowship.

  E-20    Satan don't have one right of nothing. He's only a bluff. He was stripped of everything he had at Calvary, when Jesus Christ taken the sinner's place and died at Calvary. Satan has no legal rights over nothing no more. Hallelujah. But everything lays in the hands of the Church and the believer. That's it. Satan's lost. He's nothing but a bluff.

Even death itself, which we taught last night... The bee when it loses its stinger, it's still a bee, but it ain't got no sting. And death has no sting to the believer, his stinger is gone. Death's singing around, say, "Well, this is the end of the road." I can point to Calvary and show a resurrection. Hallelujah.

*GOD MANIFESTED IN THE PILLAR OF FIRE; GOD MANIFESTED IN THE SON; AND NOW, GOD MANIFESTED IN YOU… AND THIS IS THE DISPENSATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

  E-23    Notice. God promised it. God's obligated to take care of it. And this Blood cell where He formed--moved into this womb, covered Hisself over with His own creative Blood, brought forth the Son, Christ Jesus. The Blood cell was broken at Calvary. The Blood run out of His body in order that He could bring back into Himself: fellowship.

God manifested in the Pillar of Fire; God manifested in the Son; and now, God manifested in you. The same Holy Spirit that was the dispensation of the Fatherhood. Jesus was the dispensation of the Sonship. And this is the dispensation of the Holy Spirit.

That's the reason we was commissioned to baptize you in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, showing that God has unfolded Himself, condescended, coming down, working His way through. He couldn't enter into sin. But He cleared His way as He went. For God so loved man that He wants to come down and fellowship with Him.

God tonight, the same Jehovah God that spoke to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, lives in every borned-again man or woman, trying His best to make you believe Him. Have faith in Him. Step out. Don't you doubt one bit. But the same God that was with Abraham, is the same God that is tonight.

*AND IF THE LIFE OF GOD'S LIVING IN YOU, PRODUCES A GODLY LIFE JUST AS CERTAIN AS I'M STANDING IN THIS PLATFORM.

  176    He said, "I give unto them Eternal Life." Eternal Life comes from the Greek word of "Zoe." Zoe is that Life. Zoe is the Life of God. And if the Life of God's living in you, produces a godly life just as certain as I'm standing in this platform. And the man that's got It, can no more perish than God can perish, because God's in the man. Amen. "He that heareth My Words, and believeth on Him that sent Me, has Everlasting Life, and shall not come into condemnation; but hath Everlasting Life. He that eats My flesh and drinks My Blood, I'll raise him up in the last days." That's His Word. What a consolation to the believer. And what a condemnation to those who reject to walk in the Light.

You have been borned-again of the Spirit of God, and the fruits of the Spirit follow your life, with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, faith, meekness, patience, is following you. If not, would you be so--so sensible, may I put it in that way, as to raise your hand to God and acknowledge your wrong, saying, "God, be merciful to me, and help me to be the type of Christian that You would desire me to be by giving me the Holy Spirit and let me live a godly life"? E-44    God has to take you off your feet sometime to let you know that you don't know. We have to depend on Him. And one day way atop the Adirondack... I just taken... My little boy, Billy back there, was just a little bitty fellow then. We was in a little old lean-to. The ranger hadn't come up yet. We was going to go bear hunting. I said to the wife, I said, "There's a group of deer that goes down here in the giants." I said, "I want to walk down there today."

And I got out and there come up a storm. And you know in the New England states when the storms come, the fog comes and you can't see nothing. And I... I'd just shot a dear, and I was going back up. And I said, "Well, I'll go back up and get to her." 'Cause I told her I'd be in at two o'clock.

I thought, "Well, say, I ought to be getting up towards the place to turn off in a few moments." And I happened to look up and I was right back to my deer again. Well, I thought, "How did I miss that?" I kept walking again and walked about thirty or forty minutes and I was right back at my dear again.

Now, the Indians call that the death walk. You're walking in a circle, but you don't know where you are. And the fog's so low you had no markers or nothing. And then I seen I was caught. And I said, "Well, I must take some course." I thought, "When I come, the wind was in my face, so I, perhaps, better keep the wind right in my face and go this way."

And I was walking this way, and I thought, "You know, my wife she's young and in that lean-to, and it's almost zero weather. And that little baby boy of mine, they'll freeze to death tonight. She'd scare to death to be in these wilderness, about twenty-five mile from any road or any thing."

I said, "It'd scare her to death to be here alone, 'cause there's a mountain lion we seen over there this morning, and she'd be scared of that." And I said, "I don't know what to do." And I started moving on, and seen that I was all mixed up. I didn't know where to go. And I kept hearing Something in my ear saying, "I'm the Lord, and I'm a very present help in the time of trouble."

E-47    And I said, "Looky here, William Branham, why, you--you know more--more about the woods than to get nervous now." Why, I... Many of them die every year like that, get a fever and then you die when you get lost. And I said, "Why, you know more about the woods than that."

And something kept telling me, "That baby will perish; that wife will perish; and you'll perish here in this woods." Now, if it'd been ordinarily (my wife not there), I'd have found me a place and built me up a fire and wait till the storm was over, a day or two, and I'd have went on out.

So, but the wife in the woods and the--and the baby there, so I just didn't know what to do. So I kept walking, and I could hear a Voice saying, "I'm the Lord, and I'm a very present help in the time of trouble." So I just set my old rifle down against a tree; I pulled off my hat and laid it down. And I looked up, I said, "Heavenly Father, I'm not no woodsman." I said, "I was mistaken. And, Lord, I can't--I can't do nothing without You. And I'm lost, absolutely lost."

I'm not worthy that I should live; but my baby and my wife, I want them to live, Lord."

And I said, "I pray that You'll help me get out of here, will You, Father?" And I raised up and I was weeping a little and took my hat and shook it off. It was kind of damp on the grounds, some snow. And I put it on my head; I picked up my rifle. I said, "Now, the best of my knowledge, I shall go this way." And I started that way again; I felt a hand lay on my shoulder.

And for about the next three or four hours I climbed just in that direction, not moving at all, watching, going just as straight as I could to that place, and holding my course.

E-14    When you come to total obedience, then you can have possession. But until you totally obey. You've got to completely surrender your own thoughts, your own will, your own mind, and let the mind of Christ operate in you. Now, do you think Christ would--the mind of Christ, in you, would say, "The days of miracles is past"? Do you think the mind of Christ, in you, would say, "The Bible's right in some places and not in others"? The mind of Christ would sanction every word that Christ ever said. It's right. So if you don't use your own mind, just use His mind.

That's how visions at nighttime... If I use my own mind, how--what could I do? I couldn't do nothing. But just yield myself to Him, and then He uses my mind, my eyes, my mouth. He's my all. Just yield. That's the way you do it. That's the way these ministers do when they're preaching the Gospel. They get up there and take a text, why, they just start off to preach, and yield themselves to God, they're ministers, the first thing you know, the Holy Spirit maybe take them on another text, take them somewhere else.

87 When Satan met Him, Satan tried to detour Him. He got the road map, Satan did, out, and said, "You see, here it says this here."

He said, "But it's also written..."

Oh, there's lots of bypasses, this, that, or the other, "Oh, as long as I do this." That's not it. You--you've got to find God in a personal relationship and experience. If you claim you have it, and still live for the world, then there's something wrong. The devil has detoured you on the wrong Scripture.

If we follow the road map, if it says "turn on highway so-and-so here," turn that way. If Acts 2:38 said, "Repent, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for remission of sins," it didn't turn left; you must turn that way. I don't care how it is; you've got to follow the road. If He said, "The promise is to you and your children," that didn't mean for a age past. "As many as the Lord our God shall call," is what It said. That's God's road Map. We must follow It. The road's marked out.

You say, "How will I know I'm on it?" The Bloody footprints of the Lord Jesus made the road, and the disciples laid on that same foundation. And the Holy Spirit directed them. Follow that road map.

You say, "Well, I've got the Holy Spirit," and still living the same way you do? Something's happened to you. You never got the Holy Spirit that come on the day of Pentecost; It made you different.

"I don't believe in speaking in tongues. I don't believe in Divine healing. I don't believe in these things." Then you never got the Holy Spirit fell on Pentecost. You certainly didn't.

74    The Holy Spirit comes today in like manner to present God to man; but man wants to go to church. It--it--it drowns his--his--his thinking. He cannot--he cannot fathom it. And we must learn that God is not known by intellectual conception. God is known by the new birth, by the Holy Ghost, not by any other way. Jesus, the Bible has plainly quoted us that, "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost." And if you've never received the Holy Ghost, you don't know that He is the Christ, for that's the only way He reveals Himself.

You're not converted until you receive the Holy Ghost. The Bible said so. After Peter had both been saved and sanctified, give power to cast out unclean spirits, and to preach the Gospel, Jesus plainly told him he was not converted, until he received the Holy Ghost. And He said, "After you're converted, then strengthen your brethren." That was on the night of the betrayal, that he was not yet converted. And no man is truly converted until he's been changed, and died to himself, and the Holy Spirit has control of that person. They don't want to do it.

  76    Now, the Holy Spirit will not misbehave itself in one person, and behave itself in another. It'll make each person come into Its character (See?), because it's a Spirit that leads you. It brings--makes you subject to Its nature. You don't bring It subject to your nature; It makes you subject to Its nature. And the Holy Spirit makes you live and love to do it. Oh, how you love to give up the things of the world, when the Holy Spirit comes in. How it cleanses you and washes you, and puts a desire in you to--to--to follow Him, and a thirst, and a hunger for more of it, just bathing yourself. He brings realities.

That's the way it is today. Now, many men will go away to a seminary and learn, oh, an intellectual giant, learn all the Greek and everything else; but when it comes to truth, he'll give his strength of his education to the Lord, yes, but his heart he gives to the church and not God. That's what's the matter with the people today; they want to follow their creeds. They don't want the reality of the Holy Spirit. They don't want to act any different than what they always act. But when you become a Christian, you are a peculiar person, a royal priesthood, a st--strange nation, odd people, do odd things and strange things, unbecoming to the world. And when you're in the world, you're unbecoming to God. One's vice versa from the other. One makes you act like they do in heaven, the other one makes like you do on the earth.

139      When Satan tempts us, we are to resist him in a Perfect Faith in a Perfect Word, like Jesus did. The Word of God is perfect. We're to have Perfect Faith in this Perfect Word, and resist Satan.

141    By His Faith in--in His Word we (He conquers), we can conquer anything: both death, hell, and the grave. We know that God is God, that Perfect Faith in God's Perfect Word, He conquered everything that He come in contact with. Death could not even stand in His Presence. Sickness could not stand in His Presence. Flowing from Him was like rivers of virtue, going out constantly, virtue going from His garment. These people, laying in His shadows; step, put their finger on His garment and was healed. When that woman done that, then everybody wanted to touch His garment, 'cause they seen that there was virtue going from Him constantly, flowed like rivers. There He was, walking, walking in a world with Perfect Faith, because He was the Word.

Before there was ever a speck of star dust; before God was God (God is an object of adoration and no one was there to worship Him, so He was at that time only potentially God.) and He was known only as eternal Spirit, the bride was already in His mind. Yes, she was. She was existing in His thoughts. And what about those thoughts of God? They are eternal, are they not?

The eternal thoughts of God! Let me ask you, "Are the thoughts of God eternal?" If you can see this, you will see many things. God is unchangeable in both essence and behavior. We have studied that and proven that already. God is infinite in His abilities so therefore He as God must be omniscient. If He is omniscient, then He is not now learning, nor is He taking counsel even with Himself, nor is He at any time adding to His knowledge. If He can add to His knowledge, then He is not omniscient. The best we could say is that sometime He will be. But that is not Scriptural.

He IS omniscient. He has never had a new thought about anything because all His thoughts He has always had and always will have, and knows the end from the beginning because He is God. THUS THE THOUGHTS OF GOD ARE ETERNAL. THEY ARE REAL. They are not simply like a man with a blueprint he has drawn up and which one day will be translated into substance and form, but they are already real and eternal, and part of God.
