25-0131A_MESSAGE OF GRACE PT-24 (THE MARRIAGE)

Rev 19:1  And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 

Rev 19:2  For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 

Rev 19:3  And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 

Rev 19:4  And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. 

Rev 19:5  And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 

Rev 19:6  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 

Rev 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 

*AND THEY HAVE THE MATERIAL ON EARTH NOW TO MAKE THEMSELVES READY.

  E-27    No doubt but your lovely pastor here has approached this subject many times, and that... We know that there is going to be a bride, and there's going to be a wedding supper served in the sky. That's just as sure to be as God is, because it's His Word.

And we know that those that are going to make up that bride is going to be His church, and they're going to appear before Him without spot or wrinkle. And they have the material on earth now to make themselves ready.
 
*THE FIRST THING TAKES IN NATURAL MARRIAGE IS A DECISION HAS TO BE MADE.

  E-38    Now, marriage in one sense is a type... The earthly marriage here is a type of the heavenly marriage. Now, let's go over it just for a few moments, to rehearse it a moment. The first thing there is, there must be a decision made. The first thing takes in natural marriage is a decision has to be made. The young lady has to make her decision whether she wants this young man, and the young man, whether he wants the young woman. There has to be a decision made, and you have to make it. She must be the only woman in the world that you love, and he must be the only man. If it isn't, then you made a wrong decision.

*THE FIRST THING YOU HAVE TO DO, IS MAKE UP YOUR MIND WHETHER YOU'RE GOING TO SERVE GOD AND TAKE HIM AS YOUR SAVIOUR…

And that's the same way it is by making the decision for Christ. The first thing you have to do, is make up your mind whether you're going to serve God and take Him as your Saviour; or, you're not going to do it. Are you going to serve the world, are you going to serve Christ? You have to make up your mind. There has to be a decision made. When you make up your mind that you're either going to serve God or mammon, then you take your choice. But the decision has to be made.
 
**AFTER THE DECISION IS MADE THAT YOU ARE, THEN COMES THE ENGAGEMENT.

  E-39    And then, after the decision is made that you are, then comes the engagement. That... You find that at the altar. You've got to make an engagement before this union can be. And that's the way it is with Christ's church. It has to be an engagement with Christ, a--a pledge, an engagement, a love affair.

And then the next thing is, is promises made. There has to be promises made to one another, like that you make promise, "Sweetheart, if you'll marry me, I promise that I'll be loyal and true. I will look upon no other woman."

Or, "I'll look upon no other man. And I'll do all that as a duty as a wife. If we have children, it'll do all as a duty as a--as a mother. I--I'll be a housekeeper." All these promises has got to be made, or should be, in a correct wedding.
 
*AND THAT'S THE SAME THING WHEN YOU COME TO CHRIST. "LORD, IF YOU WILL RECEIVE ME INTO YOUR KINGDOM, I PROMISE..." THERE YOU ARE.

  E-40    And that's the same thing when you come to Christ. "Lord, if You will receive me into Your Kingdom, I promise..." There you are. "I'll love You. I'll be true to You. I'll serve You day and night." It's too bad we forget that. "I'll serve You day and night. I'll fast; I'll pray; I'll be loyal to You. I'll bring my tithings into the storehouse. I--I'll--I'll pray many times a day. I'll--I'll do anything. And I'll pledge all my love to You." That's what you should do. That's exactly right, where you promise that, and it should come from your heart.

If you promise your husband that, and not from your heart you mean it, you are absolutely not living correctly with him. It's kind of a crystallized affair.
 
*AND WHEN WE TAKE OUR PLEDGE TO CHRIST, IF WE DON'T BECOME PART OF HIM…..THEN WE'RE ARTIFICIAL CHRISTIANS.

  E-41    Look here. If--if you haven't got teeth, and you use false teeth... Now, that's all right. It's substituting for the teeth that you once had. But actually, those teeth are not connected with you. It's not part of you. If you had an arm amputated, and you put a false arm on, well, that arm is actually not connected with you. It's just stuck on you. See, it's not connected with you.

And when we take our pledge to Christ, if we don't become part of Him, like a woman ought to become part of a man and a man part of the woman, then we're artificial Christians. We're not really... You're really not married to that woman. You might be loyal. If you don't love your husband, and him sixty or seventy years old, and you don't love him as good as you did at the beginning, then you're really just raising his children.
 
*WELL, YOU CAN'T PUT ON CHRISTIANITY. YOU'VE GOT TO BE CONNECTED WITH IT.

  E-42    And that's the way the churches are, too many today. We're just taking the name of the Christian church, pretending to be the bride, when it's artificially; we're not connected with Christ in any way. We're like an artificial tooth, artificial arm, artificial eye. See, it's something that's artificial if we're just putting it on. Well, you can't put on Christianity. You've got to be connected with it.

And then a church that's just artificial called the church of Christ... Well, them children then, are not in there that's born of that same organization is only... They're not Christ's children; they are denominational children, and not children of Christ.
 
***AND THAT'S WHEN THE BRIDE--BRIDE TAKES THE BRIDEGROOM'S NAME. SHE IS NO MORE THEN OF HER OWN NAME; SHE TAKES THE BRIDEGROOM'S NAME.

  E-44    But, you see, first, decision's made, next engagement, then promise, and then the ceremony. And that's when the bride--bride takes the bridegroom's name. She is no more then of her own name; she takes the bridegroom's name.

And then when the church has the ceremony, makes their promises, then she takes the Bridegroom's Name. Then she's no longer a church of the world; she's the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Not... I don't mean that by Name; I mean that by birth, by nature, by the power of God. By the revealed truth of God in the heart she becomes a Christian church, the great, universal apostolic Christian church. She becomes a part of Christ. When she does that, she... Christ injects into her His own Spirit, His own life. And the Bible said to Adam and Eve there, "You're no longer twain, but one." And when the woman, church, is married to Christ, they're no longer two. They are one: Christ in you. Amen. That's it. His life has been brought into you. Then you become the bride.

Eph 5:20  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 

Eph 5:21  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 

Eph 5:22  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 

Eph 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 

Eph 5:24  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 

Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 

Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 

Eph 5:28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 

Eph 5:29  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 

Eph 5:30  For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 

Eph 5:31  For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 

Eph 5:32  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 

Eph 5:33  Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. 

Mat 19:5  And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 

Mat 19:6  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 

 

25-0127P_LIFE CONSECRATED UNTO GOD

Heb 10:20  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 

Heb 10:21  And having an high priest over the house of God; 

Heb 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 

Heb 10:23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 

Mat 5:48  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 

Rom 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 

Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 

Gen 1:12  And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 

THEN HE WAS ALONE WITH GOD.

 E-25    Notice, every year the high priest entered into that place. The congregation followed him up. And when he went into this great place where the veil dropped behind him, the inner courts, the holiest of holies, no one dared to go after him. Then he was alone with God.

What a beautiful picture it is today of a consecrated life who, once enters into with Christ, dead to the things of the world, hid away with God, and the veil's dropped down around, and all the world's shut off. Then Christianity and religion becomes a pleasure to every believer.

Today people just have enough religion to make them miserable, knowing that they ought to do this, their trying to escape hell. Well, if that's the way I felt about it, brother, I don't know what I would do.

Oh, get in with Christ. Shut off from the things of the world, for, to commune with Him is a pleasure. It's beautiful. It's something that fills and satisfies the soul, something that gives you peace that passes all understanding. All the crosses become flying wings. All the burdens are chariot wheels. Oh, you can fly away.

*WHEN YOU'RE ONCE INSIDE THE VEIL WITH HIM, HE BECOMES YOUR LIFE.

  E-26    "My burdens are light." Yoke up with Him, the yoke is all padded with Hallelujahs. When you're once inside the veil with Him, He becomes your life.

The prophet said that in... The people of the old days said I... That He would write His laws anew. He would put them in their heart.

Now, Mount Sinai was a place of duty. But Mount Calvary was a place of grace. People are still trying to live on Mount Sinai. "If I'll go to church, if I'll pay my dues, if I'll do this or do that, if I'll quit this and stop that." That's still on Mount Sinai.

When you come to a place where you are dead, and your life is hid in God through Christ, sealed by the Holy Ghost, the whole Christian life becomes a great glorious shout and a hallelujah to you. And you're hid away daily.

Now, we notice that once in there, he was isolated from the world. The curtains dropped around him and he was hid away with God. Everything become real, a glory. In this place where we once get hid away with Christ, everything becomes a new thing to us then.

*AND IN THIS SAY, GOD'S JUST AS OBLIGATED TO US AS HE WAS TO THEM.

E-28    He always will provide. He's Jehovah-jireh, the Lord's provided sacrifice. He's Jehovah-rapha, the Lord's Healer. And He always will provide.

And in this say, God's just as obligated to us as He was to them. And as He led them in the natural, He's leading the church today in the spiritual to the promised land. Everything we need is promised to us, and we'll get it if we'll just keep journeying on, keeping our eyes on God.

I want you to notice, when the people went out and eat the manna, with was a type of Christ Who came down and gave His life... But the people who ate the manna in the morning, if you didn't keep up with it, that manna got old during the day.

Now, that's a sign, or a type of the people, the regenerated man, who comes to Christ, gives his life in, but never become hid away into the Holy Spirit. He lives a life that he knows he's eating manna.

There's many people today that's never went any farther then the outer court, the veil. Yet, they are Christians, they... by the millions. They enjoy Christ in an outward form. They go to church with a consolation of knowing they belong to church, but they have never become hid away with Him in the inner courts.

But out there they eat manna. But watch. When you eat that manna, if you didn't watch, before the day was over, that manna had dwindled away. And that's the way it is with people who just simply doddle around on the outside, and maybe enjoy eating the manna...

*WHEN GOD GAVE THE MANNA FOR THIS JOURNEY... WHEN HE GAVE IT IN THE OTHER JOURNEY, IT WAS TO LAST THEM ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE JOURNEY.

  E-29    The manna is a type of the Holy Spirit. When God gave the manna for this journey... When He gave it in the other journey, it was to last them all the way through the journey. And it was a very beautiful type of Pentecost. And when God called His Church out and gave them the baptism of the Holy Ghost, He poured out the Spirit from on high upon the Church, and it was to last them through every generation until Jesus come. Right.

That's the manna for the Church today, the manna of the Holy Spirit. Remember, as they crossed through the waters and come on the other side for their journey, the Holy Spirit poured down the manna and fed them natural. It kept them in a natural life. And as a person dies out to self, crosses over into the--on his journey to the promised land, God pours out the Holy Spirit today.

*BUT EVERY BELIEVER THAT COMES FROM THE ALTAR TO THE CONSECRATED LIFE, TO THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST…

E-32    Now, we don't have to get some kind of a makeup, some kind of emotional or mental makeup. We don't have to take something the devil would hand down. But every believer that comes from the altar to the consecrated life, to the baptism of the Holy Ghost, can get not only a mouthful, but a soul full of the original baptism of the Holy Ghost that fell on the day of Pentecost, that'll bring the same results as it did on the day of Pentecost. Amen.

*…WILL BRING THE SAME RESULTS TO EVERY BELIEVER TONIGHT THAT'S WILLING TO CONSECRATE THEIR LIFE TO ENTER INTO THE HOLIEST OF HOLIES BY THE BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS.

For the promise is unto your children, and to your children's children, and to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Brethren, the same Holy Spirit that fell on the day of Pentecost, that brought them results then, will bring the same results to every believer tonight that's willing to consecrate their life to enter into the holiest of holies by the Blood of the Lord Jesus.

It'll break down traditions; it'll change men's hearts. It'll melt you into one person in Christ Jesus, send an old fashion, sweeping revival across this country. Amen. What we need today: we need an old fashion, God-sent, heaven-bought, Holy Ghost brought revival, not just a little bitty shaking up, or a little emotional workup, but an old fashion dying out, self-consecrating (Hallelujah.) back woods, sky blue, sin killing religion. Amen.

It won't whitewash you; it'll wash you white. The devil will whitewash everything that he can, but God washes white. And that's what we need today is an old fashion, God-sent revival that'll just break down the hearts of the people and bring all these denominations into one great big unified group of the glory of God. That's what the church is in need of today. And it'll shake not only California; it'll shake the nation.

  E-33    And the reason we're not getting anywhere today, is because we got to many dry-eyed professions and church joinings, lukewarm, backslidden church members. That's the truth. We need more of the old fashion, God-sent, Saint Paul's revival and the Bible Holy Ghost with power and breaking up, to make people act different, and look different, walk different, talk different, and be different, and live different in their everyday life.

We need it, friends. The Methodists need it. The Baptists need it. The Pentecostal need it. They all need it. That's right. We take on to the wrong side. We go after the wrong thing. The Holy Spirit was to continue on to each generation.

Moses, when he put that great pot in there, just sometimes this bread that left outside... People get the campground cramps sometimes.

*BUT IF YOU'LL EVER CONSECRATE YOURSELF TO COME INTO WHERE THE MANNA STAYS FRESH, DAY IN AND DAY OUT, YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT, IN THE HOLIEST OF HOLIES...

  E-34    I think that's what's the matter with our church today. We got to many of those layovers. That's right. Some people just eat enough manna to make them right good and hungry for some more. Before one revival to another one, you have to go out and get renewed again.

Oh, brother, why don't you stop that nonsense and come into the holiest of holies by the Blood of the Lord Jesus. Every bit of manna outside of here just lets you last for tonight or tomorrow; next week it won't work. It dries up overnight. But if you'll ever consecrate yourself to come into where the manna stays fresh, day in and day out, year in and year out, in the holiest of holies...

You can meet that man that's ever walked in there... I don't care if he hasn't been in revival for six months; he's just as sweet as he was the day he was in the revival. That's right. You can meet him on a shouty day or a cloudy day, or whatever you want to; he's just the same, because he's living in the glory of God. He's living where the manna's fresh all the time, where it isn't a burden to get out and pray through today and pray through tomorrow.

Brother, stay with Him all the time in the holiest of holies. "Can a person live that way?" Absolutely. That's what Jesus died for. Amen.

Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 

Heb 10:30  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 

Heb 10:31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 

Heb 10:32  But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; 

Heb 10:33  Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. 

Heb 10:34  For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. 

Heb 10:35  Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 

Heb 10:36  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 

 

SPIRITUAL STARVATION

Luk 4:25  But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 

Luk 4:26  But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 

Amo 8:11  Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: 

Mal 4:5  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 

Pro 11:24  There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

And I don't believe that there has ever been a man or a woman that ever walked into a church, or come in the Presence of God without they were given an invitation to this supper. Now, you can take it or you can turn it down. That's up to you.

341-5    LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9

Now look at the first phrase of this verse, "because thou sayest". See, they were speaking. They were talking as the mouthpiece of God. This proves exactly what I said verses 16-17 meant. But though they say it, that does not make it right. The Catholic Church says she speaks for God, saying she is the assured voice of the Lord. How any people can be so spiritually wicked is more than I know, but they produce according to the seed which is in them, and we know where that seed came from, don't we?

The Laodicean church is saying, "I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing." That was her self-estimate. She looked at herself and that is what she saw. She said, "I am rich," which means that she is wealthy in the things of this world.

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 

Isa 6:1  In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 

Isa 6:2  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 

Isa 6:3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 

Isa 6:4  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 

Isa 6:5  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 

Isa 6:6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 

Isa 6:7  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 

*BUT THE GREATEST THING I'VE FOUND IN CHRISTIAN LIFE IS LETTING THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAD YOU AND GUIDE YOU.

  E-4    And now, one of the most wonderful things of God and the Christian, the connection of the fellowship between God and Christians, is that they that are sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.

…..But the greatest thing I've found in Christian life is letting the Holy Spirit lead you and guide you. And His work is marvelous. How many in here's ever been led by the Spirit, let's see your hands. Oh, my, that's wonderful. Led by the Spirit of God...

There's no one would lead you to the altar but the Spirit of God. There's no one would bring you here tonight 'less it was the Spirit of God. Is that right? He moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform.

Then when the human element goes out, and the Spirit of God fills that vacancy, where you empty yourself (amen), then will be when the Church in Its power of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, will walk in His steps, in His Power, in His thoughts, in His Being, in His moving... You see what I mean? Then your thoughts will become words, and words will become material. That's when the Church in its power...

I believe it's on its road, that when the Church will be so wrapped in Christ, the Holy Spirit, mankind so away from theirselves, that they don't see themselves, they don't have no... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]... thoughts but to serve God. And their thoughts move on. They refuse the things of the world. They just move in the Spirit, live in the Spirit, move in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, so fulfill the law of Christ. Then the love of Christ in the human heart, moving in the Holy Ghost, that great wonderful Church will go forth with power and Deity; because Deity will be revealed in human beings by the Holy Spirit bringing to pass the thought of their mind.

  185    Our thoughts run different. A lot of times we walk up, say "How do you do, brother?" And you don't mean it in your heart. A lot of times we say, "I am this and that. I will do that." You don't mean it in your heart. See? I don't mean it in my heart.

But when you can become so dead to the things of the world, that Christ is first, Christ is all, then your entire makeup is of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, He has full control. That's when your thoughts will be clean. Your thoughts will be pure. Your heart--your heart...

Many people say, "Well, religion comes from your heart." There's no mental facilities in that little being called "heart." You can't think with your heart. The Bible said, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." You can't think with your heart. You can't, 'cause there's nothing mentally in there to think with. Jesus wasn't speaking of the physical being; He was speaking of the supernatural being.

  E-12    You know what they said? The same thing they did to Abraham, to father Abraham. When he was a hundred years old, God told him when he was seventy-five he was going to have a baby by his wife Sarah, which was sixty-five at the time. And twenty-five years they had waited for that baby, thanking God for him before the baby come. That's it. You're the children of Abraham if you have that faith. See? You've got to have the faith of Abraham.

God told Abraham, "I've called you from your land, and I'm going..." He'd lived with Sarah since she was about seventeen. And all their young lives they'd lived together. And here she was, sixty-five years old, probably thirty or four--thirty years pass the menopause, as it is with ladies, far beyond any hopes of ever having a baby. But, God said, "You're going to have a baby by her. That's your wife."
 
*THAT'S THE SAME THING THEY SAY THAT ANYBODY WHO TAKES GOD AT HIS WORD; THEY SAY THEY'RE CRAZY WHEN THEY'RE LED BY THE SPIRIT.

What do you think a doctor would say today if an old man went a hundred years old and his wife ninety, went down to the doctor's office and said, "Doctor, I want you to make arrangements at the hospital, for my wife's going to have a baby."

Why, you know what they'd do to that man? They'd say he was crazy. That's the same thing they say that anybody who takes God at His Word; they say they're crazy when they're led by the Spirit. But sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. And the Spirit of God will always bear witness of the Word being the truth. No matter what people say, the Word's right. You see it? Oh, I love the Word. Faith has to anchor on the Word, what God says.

That's the only right you have, is a surrendered self-will to God, and then God does the leading from then on. That's what causes the meeting... That's what causes so many strange things. The Holy Spirit will go to a place... The Holy Spirit said, "This is not right. Stop the meeting; move yonder." I stop it too, brother, move right on. That's right, because you've got to be led by the Spirit of God. And the only way to be led by the Spirit of God is keep gentle, not to know a whole lot.

  E-29    Abraham was promised a child, but he must maintain this promise for twenty-five years, the ups-and-downs that he had and temptations in those twenty-five years; but he held to the word of the promise.

And Israel was promised a promised land, but they had to fight for every inch of it. "Wherever the soles of your foot treads upon, that have I given you," God said to Joshua. It was all there. The land was there, and God gave it to them; but they must fight for it.

*GOD'S GOT AMAZING GRACE TO SAVE YOU, AND HE WILL DO IT. BUT YOU'LL FIGHT EVERY INCH OF YOUR WAY.

  E-30    The same way it is about Divine healing. God's got the power to heal you, if you've got the courage to accept it. But you'll fight every inch of the way. God's got amazing grace to save you, and He will do it. But you'll fight every inch of your way. I've been behind the pulpit going on thirty-one years. And every inch of that has been a fight, constantly. It certainly has. But we must fight if we must reign. So we find out that the bride has to make herself ready, be willing to "lay aside every weight that does so easily beset us, that we might run with patience the race that's set before us." We must lay them aside ourself. We can't say, "God, You come, lay them aside for us." We got to do that ourselves.

*AND THEY HAVE THE MATERIAL ON EARTH NOW TO MAKE THEMSELVES READY.

And we know that those that are going to make up that bride is going to be His church, and they're going to appear before Him without spot or wrinkle. And they have the material on earth now to make themselves ready.

*YOU HAVE POWER TO DO IT, BUT YOU MUST BE WILLING TO LAY IT DOWN…SHE HAS MADE HERSELF READY.

So many says, "If the Lord will take this evil spirit from me, from drinking, or from gambling, or from lying, or stealing, I'll serve Him." But that's up to you. You got to do something too. "They that overcome shall inherit all things," they that overcome. You have power to do it, but you must be willing to lay it down. See? She has made herself ready. I like that Word.

*BUT YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR YOURSELF.

You see, God could not push us through a little pipe, pull us out on the other end, and then say, "Blessed is he that overcometh." You had nothing to overcome; He just pushed you through. By the revealed truth of God in the heart she becomes a Christian church, the great, universal apostolic Christian church. She becomes a part of Christ. When she does that, she... Christ injects into her His own Spirit, His own life. And the Bible said to Adam and Eve there, "You're no longer twain, but one." And when the woman, church, is married to Christ, they're no longer two. They are one: Christ in you. Amen. That's it. His life has been brought into you. Then you become the bride.
