24-0129P_THE ABSOLUTE IN LIFE PT-5

24-0129P_THE ABSOLUTE IN LIFE PT-5

Act 26:15  And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

Act 26:16  But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Act 26:17  Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

Act 26:18  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Act 26:19  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

Act 26:20  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Act 23:11  And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

98      I'm thinking of one right now, as in closing, would be George Washington, when America was young and we were fighting for life, the life of this great nation that we have. George Washington was a Christian. He was a believer. And down at Valley Forge, I'm told that the American soldiers only had, about one-third of them, had on shoes. And the winter was cold, and the zero weather, and the river frozen and gorging over. And the British on the other side. And the life of this little nation was at hand.

99    What did he do? He was a Christian. He goes out in the nighttime and kneels down in the snow, and prays until he was wet with snow water up around his waistline. And he stayed there and prayed until he got the absolute, the answer from God, that God was going to give him the victory.

100    And the next day, at Valley Forge, was nothing to him. He crossed the Delaware, pushed through the ice with half-dressed soldiers, half froze, their bare feet on the ground, in the snow. And he took it, when three rifle bullets went through his coat. Why? He was trusting in the absolute of an answered prayer. Amen. The very backgrounds of our nation based upon such a thing.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

101      What's the matter with people today who claim to be Christians? Why are we disturbed in an hour like this? Let's not be disturbed. Let's be soldiers. Yes, sir.

102    He prayed until he got that answer. Then, no clouded river, no bare-feet soldiers, regardless of the circumstance, they could take it because God had said so. A bullet couldn't even kill him, from an enemy's rifle. Certainly. Why? He had had a prayer meeting. He got the answer.

103      How well it was one night, when Apostle Peter was in the jail, and they were going to kill him the next morning. He was going to die under capital punishment, as this little Jew is going to do now. But what did they do? They did the same thing that we here in Houston are trying to do. They formed a prayer meeting at John Mark's house. While they were praying, the Angel of the Lord went to the prison, and opened up the prison bars, and opened the gates. And beyond that, led Peter out, and come right down to the prayer meeting.

104    I believe, tonight, that that same God lives. If He isn't the same God, then there is something wrong. Certainly.

105    What was it done? By a prayer meeting, by faithful Christians who believed, and believed that God would deliver their brother from capital punishment. Them were Christians who stayed all night and laid upon their faces, and cried out and prayed.

*IF YOU LOVE GOD, WELL, WELL, WE SHOULD BE BUSY. IT SHOULD BE OUR--OUR HOPES, OUR DESIRES. IT SHOULD BE. EVERYTHING THAT'S IN US SHOULD BE IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

106      As I heard one of the ministers, a while ago, saying he was going to cry out, all night long. The trouble of it is, today, people let down. They get tired, sleepy. They can't even set through a ten-minute service, hardly. Well, it--it's something wrong.

107    If you love God, well, well, we should be busy. It should be our--our hopes, our desires. It should be. Everything that's in us should be in the love of Christ. Amen. We set so slothful. We set so unconcerned, when the world is dying under our feet. That's right. Men's lives going out, without God, and we set so--so unconcerned about it. As long as we belong to the church, that's all we think that makes a difference.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

108      I was talking about the Coming of Christ, a few weeks ago, in a certain church. And afterwards there was someone met me in the back of the church, and said, "Brother Branham, you scare people to death."

I said, "Why do I do that?"

109    He said, "Well, you talking about the Coming of Christ. I don't want to hear such things as that. I got a little boy here I got to raise. I got a girl in school."

110    "Oh," I said, "the Coming of Christ is the most glorious thing I can think of." Certainly. See?

111    The Bible said, "All those who love His appearing." Oh, my, for a day that when this old mortal will take on immortality, and this--this pest-house that I live in will be changed, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, and a body like His Own glorious body! It should be the heart's desire of the Church. It should be every man and woman, on fire, preach in the streets and everywhere else, trying to get souls saved. Certainly.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

112      I'm wondering if we've really tied to that absolute that we claim to. Are we looking at the right morning star? If we're just trusting in our church and our denomination, our affiliation; as the world changes, it changes with that, round and around.

113    But there's one Star that never change. There's one thing that can never change, that's God. God cannot change. His Word cannot change. His Bible cannot change. And if a man is born of the Spirit of God, with Christ in him, it punctuates every promise with an "amen." That is right. Certainly.

*BUT CHRIST IS THE ABSOLUTE. HE'S THE ONE YOU CAN PUT CONFIDENCE IN.

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

53-6    That's why I know the Holy Spirit is my Compass that guides me. He is the One that makes me know this Word is true; He is my Absolute; He is my Sunshine; He's my Life; He's my Anchor. When troubles are on, He's my North Star. When I'm lost, the Holy Spirit is my Compass that guides me back to the place.

Denominations are like other stars; they shift with the world. Other stars shift as the world shifts, but not the North Star. The world can shift where it wants to, but it stays put. Oh, brother. The North Star is anchored. The others shift around; you can see them here and there, and everywhere else. That's the way with the denominational churches. But Christ is the absolute. He's the One you can put confidence in. When the denominations got you all twisted up, just look at the North Star. The Holy Spirit is your Compass.

*… I HAD FOUND THAT ABSOLUTE, THAT SOMETHING THAT HELD ME WHEN THE STORM WAS ON.

AN.ABSOLUTE_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  63-0127

240    See, I had found that Absolute, that Something that held me when the storm was on.

241      Someone said to me, said, "Billy, did you keep your religion during the time of your trouble?"

I said, "No. It kept me." See?

242    That's what it was. I was tied to Him in the hours when my strength was gone, and there's nothing I could do. My anchor held within the veil of His Word yonder.

243    Where, sometimes I don't understand it. Sometimes I think, "What makes me do the things I do?" There is Something withinside me, pulsating me. I can't keep from doing it, brother.

*BUT WHEN GOD PLACES HIS SPIRIT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR NEW SPIRIT, THEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACT MEEK; YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACT LIKE A CHRISTIAN. IT CONTROLS EVERYTHING THAT'S WITHIN YOU.

THE.IMPERSONATION.OF.CHRISTIANITY_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  57-0120M

E-44    Then God's Holy Spirit... God's new heart that He put in you, sets right in the center of you. That's your--your impulse, where you--you--your--your emotions goes out. And the new Spirit sets right in the center of the new heart. And God's Spirit, the Holy Spirit, sets right in the center of your new Spirit, and there It controls your emotions.

It's just like the--the mainspring in a famous watch, and it's self-winding. You don't have to wind it every day. God's wound it once for all. And it sets right in the middle of the--of your life--your new life. And as the mainspring, as it relieves and ticks away the watch, it controls every little organism of that watch to perfect time.

E-45    And when the Holy Spirit, not the new degree, not the new church, not the new thought, not the new emotion, not the new oil, not the new dance, not the new lips, not the new tongue, not the new this, not the new hat, but when God places His Spirit in the middle of your new spirit, then you don't have to act meek; you don't have to act like a Christian. It controls everything that's within you. It puts you in decent, makes the church act orderly, makes the gifts work perfect…

*… IF THERE IS NO GOD, THEN LIVE, EAT, DRINK, AND BE MERRY. IF THERE IS A GOD, LET'S SERVE HIM.

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

54-1    He ever remains true to His Word. When they told me that them things couldn't happen in a modern day like this, I knowed if--if there--if there is no God, then live, eat, drink, and be merry. If there is a God, let's serve Him. And I've lived to see the day that He has performed everything, even to raising the dead when He was here on earth. And we know that by documented statements that it is the truth. Yes, sir. He is my Absolute.

Now, make Him your Absolute. Take in the--the time of my trouble; He's always a Absolute. Now watch, by the grace of God... (Now, I just better close. It's getting late. Well look here, I thought it was eleven o'clock, and it's 12:30.)

*YOU THAT'S HOLDING TO THE ABSOLUTE, THAT'S RIGHT, WITH THE CONFIRMATION OF GOD WORKING IN IT.

AN.ABSOLUTE_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  63-0127

204    There'll be a Rapture. You think, two or three people here, and one over here. And somewhere else, somebody come up missing, thought they run away from home. They, better be careful, they might be gone. Looking for a Rapture, and it already passed. Now, that isn't contrary to the Word. No, it isn't. He come like a thief in the night. See? They would be gone before you know it.

205    God places His--His great power out in the Church, and it don't take a great big group in. It takes a minority. "Fear not, little flock. It's your Father's good will..." You that's holding to the Absolute, that's right, with the confirmation of God working in it.

206      So, you see, we're living in a terrific time, and that's what, that pressure is upon the church. Well, you want to see something. You want to see something. But, now, how can God ever watch over His Word, to vindicate It, and the person disbelieving that Word and won't receive It in their heart? How can the sun shine upon a seed and bring it to life, when it hasn't got any life in it? It's got to be a germitized seed. So, a creed is germitized to make more members.

207    But the Word is germitized to make saints, make believers. That's right. God works to perform His Words. He--He watches over It, to vindicate It. Yes, sir.

*I JUST BELIEVE IT. GOD, IT'S UP TO HIM TO DO THE REST OF IT. JUST BELIEVE IT. ACT UPON IT.

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

54-3    Friends, all day, all night, all year, and all through eternity, could never speak of it. Don't try to figure it out. You can't. There's no way of figuring it out. You say, "Brother Branham, if--if you..."

I don't know; I just believe; I quit trying to do anything about it; I just believe it. That's all. See? Not him that runneth, or him that willeth, it's God shows mercy. See, not by works, it's by grace. See? I just believe it. God, it's up to Him to do the rest of it. Just believe it. Act upon it.

*MAKE HIM YOUR ABSOLUTE. STAY THERE; THE SWEET PEACE AND AN EXPERIENCE THAT YOU'LL NEVER FORGET; ANCHOR TO THAT…

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

55-3    Think of it, when about three-fourths of the earth is water. And look at the hydrogen and oxygen in the air, the humidity and stuff. See, if every moisture was ink; and think of the billions, and trillions, and trillions of straws which would be quills. And think of the billions of men that's been on earth, and every one of them a scribe by trade. To dip them pens into the ocean and try to figure out the love of God would drain the ocean dry; or could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from eternity to eternity.

Don't figure it out; you can't. You lose your mind trying to figure it out; just believe it. Make Him your Absolute. Stay there; the sweet peace and an experience that you'll never forget; anchor to that, and your anchor will hold within the veil. Let's bow our heads.

Psa 37:23  The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Psa 37:24  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psa 37:25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26  He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
Psa 37:27  Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
Psa 37:28  For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:29  The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
Psa 37:30  The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
Psa 37:31  The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
Psa 37:32  The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
Psa 37:33  The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Psa 37:34  Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Psa 37:35  I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Psa 37:36  Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
Psa 37:37  Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
Psa 37:38  But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:39  But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
Psa 37:40  And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

24-0126A_THE IDENTIFIED CHRIST OF ALL AGES PT-11 (HE THAT IS IN YOU)

24-0126A_THE IDENTIFIED CHRIST OF ALL AGES PT-11 (HE THAT IS IN YOU)

Mar 11:12  And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

Mar 11:13  And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

Mar 11:14  And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Mar 11:15  And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

Mar 11:16  And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

Mar 11:17  And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mar 11:18  And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

Mar 11:19  And when even was come, he went out of the city.

Mar 11:20  And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Mar 11:21  And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

Mar 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mar 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mar 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mar 11:25  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mar 11:26  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Mat 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

86      Well, I said to the brethren that morning, "Now, the first drop of rain starts to fall, the first snow, the first sleet, anything, take for the camp just as hard as you can, 'cause within fifteen minutes you can't see your hand before you. See? And it'll just twist and blow, and I don't care how well you know the country, you--you're going to stay right there, and you'll perish. Cause sometimes you can't even breathe, the sleet blowing so, and, you die right there." And I said, "As soon as it starts with that sleet, you take for the camp just at hard as you can, I don't care where you are."

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

87      Well, I said, "Go up here and set in these gulches, and I'll climb way high and roll rocks over the hill, and so forth, scare the deers off the top, and run them down, you pick out what you want."

88    So I started climbing high, and about time I got up to where we call, "the saddle," a little place there that I always cross over to go to a place called "Quaker Knob," right on the Continental Divide there, way high. And when I got to almost this little saddle, this... the clouds getting blacker and blacker. Wasn't a car left, just us up there, as far... and the cowboy on the camp. So it got--it got worse and worse. So, in a few minutes, it started raining. Well, I took my gun and put it under my coat, keep the scope from smoking up, and--and the stock getting wet; whether run into a bear or something, coming back, so I--I held my scope like that and set down under a tree, a little bit. And I set there, and praying. I said, "Lord God, You're the Great Jehovah, and I love You."

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

89      How many experiences have I had! I pointed out to the brethren, Brother Palmer and them, the places. Where, the eagle, you know, I seen him rise up that day, you know, and how... That the places where it all taken place in there. It's a temperamental thing to me, in there. I've had so many great experiences with my Lord, up in them mountains. So you just can't go there without seeing Him; He's just everywhere.

90    So then as I--I set there, then the sleet started, and the wind twisting, like that. And I said, "Well, I know the way down, but I better get off of here right now." So I said...

91    It looked down, and I couldn't even see the bottoms no more; them clouds just whirling and twisting, and sleet blowing. And there it was, the blizzard! Forecast for several days, "A big blizzard coming!"

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

92      Brother Tom is here. Brother Tom Simpson, coming down from Canada, heard the forecast, and he was advised not to go through that part of the country, 'cause this forecast said, "It'll be blizzard." Where are you, Brother Tom? I think that, yeah, right here. And he... The blizzard was coming! Everybody had done set in for it.

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

93      Well, I put my gun back under my shirt, like this, my red shirt, started walking down the mountain. And as I started, I got about a half a mile from the saddle; and, oh, my, the big drops of snow, like that, and the wind twisting up, on that mountain, and blowing. I couldn't see the bottom no more. I could see about twenty feet in front of me, or thirty. And I knowed to come right down this little, what we called, "a little hog back," little ridge, then come off to the creek, and then I knowed to follow the creek, and where to go to, if it got real bad.

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

94      And so then I started down, and got about half way down there, and Something said to me, just as plain as you hear me, "Stop, and go back!"

95    Well, I thought, "What was I thinking about? Maybe it's just my mind." And I just couldn't make another step forward.

96    David had fixed me a sandwich that morning, and I think he tried to get even with me for fixing his daddy one, one time, of onion and honey, that's all we had. So he fixed me a baloney and, oh, I don't know what all it was, wrapped in there! And I had it in my shirt, and it done got wet through my shirt. I thought, "I'll just stop and eat this, and maybe I'll... It'll be all right then." So I pulled out the sandwich, about ten o'clock, and I started eating the sandwich. And as I eat the sandwich, I thought, "Now I'll be all right."
And I started to move on, but Something said, "Go back where you come from!"

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

97      "Go back through that storm, a half a mile or more back up the mountain, into that dark timber?" Where, you can then hardly see as far as that organ! But I'm getting to be an old man, and I've been a Christian now for thirty-three years; and I know, no matter what, how ridiculous it seems, mind the Lord, do what the Lord says.

98    And I turned and went back to the saddle, feeling my way back. Oh, the sleet getting harder and harder; getting darker and darker. And I sit down there, and just put my coat up like this, or my shirt over the scope again; set down. I thought, "What am I doing here? Why would I come back up here?"

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

99      And I just waited a few minutes. And I started to get up again, and just as plain as I'd ever want to hear, a Voice said, "I am the Creator of heavens and earth! I make the winds and the rain." I took off my hat.

100    I said, "Great Jehovah, is that You?"

101    He said, "I was the One Who made the winds to cease upon the sea. I was the One Who made the waves to go down. I created heavens and earth. Was not I not the One that told you to speak to those, for squirrels, and they come into existence? I am God."

102    Now, when a voice speaks to you, watch the Scripture. If it's not Scriptural, you leave it alone; I don't care how plain it is, you stay away from it.

103    I said, "Yes, Lord."

104    He said, "Speak to those winds and that storm, and it'll go away." Now, this Bible lays before me, which my life is in That.

105    I raised up, I said, "I do not doubt Your Voice, Lord." I said, "Clouds, snow, rain, sleet, I resent your coming. In the Name of Jesus Christ, go to your places! I say that the sun must come out immediately and shine for four days, till our hunting trip is over and I leave with my brethren."

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

106      It was just gushing, just went, "Whoooossssh," like that. And it started go, going, "Whoosh," then it went, "whew, whew, whew, whe." Stopped!

107    I stood real still. My brethren up there, and wondering what was happening. And the sleet, rain stopped. There came a wind whirling down through the mountains, lifted up the clouds, and one went this way; east, north, west, and south. And, within a few minutes, the sun was shining nice and warm. That's truth! God knows that's truth!

108    I just stood there, just looking around; with my hat off, looking. I... You say... I got numb, all over.

109    I thought, "The very God of Creation, it's all in His hands. What's He telling me?"

*IF WE ONLY COULD RECEIVE THIS TRUTH!... WHAT IS IN YOU, THAT'S GREATER? IT'S CHRIST, THE ANOINTED! GOD, THAT WAS IN CHRIST, IS IN YOU.

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

153      If we only could receive this Truth! Now just a moment. If we only could realize what this Scripture mean, "He that is in you is greater than he that's in the world." We can't understand That, yet we say we believe It. And we know It's true, but we really don't understand It.
... greater is he that's in you, than he that's in the world.

What is in you, that's greater? It's Christ, the anointed! God, that was in Christ, is in you. "Greater is He that's in you, than he that's in the world."

*THEN IF HE IS IN YOU, IT'S NOT YOU ANY MORE LIVING, IT'S HIM LIVING IN YOU.

154    Then if He is in you, it's not you any more living, it's Him living in you. See? It's not your thinking, what you would think about This; it's what He said about This. See? Then, if He is in you, He absolutely would not deny what He said. He couldn't do it. But He would keep what He has said, and He is trying to find that person that He can vindicate Himself through.

*BECAUSE, WHAT ALL GOD WAS, HE POURED INTO CHRIST; AND ALL CHRIST WAS, HE POURED INTO THE CHURCH…SEE, THAT'S GOD IN YOU, "HE THAT'S IN YOU."

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

156      Now, but, "He that's in you is greater than he that's in the world," God in you, like He was in Jesus Christ. Because, what all God was, He poured into Christ; and all Christ was, He poured into the Church. See, that's God in you, "He that's in you."

*NO WONDER WINDS AND WAVES OBEYED HIM, OBEYED HIS WORDS; OBEYED HIS WORDS, BECAUSE IT WAS GOD'S WORD THROUGH HIM.

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

157    No wonder winds and waves obeyed Him, obeyed His Words; obeyed His Words, because It was God's Word through Him. He was a Man; but He was the Word, made flesh. See? And when He spoke, it was God speaking through human lips. See? No wonder the winds and the waves... The very Creator, that created the winds and the waves, was in Him. Now, think of it! Think deep now, 'fore I come to this moment of closing. No wonder demons paralyzed at His Word! It was God in Him. It was God in Christ. The demons was paralyzed. No wonder the dead, that was turning back to the dust, could not lay there, at His Word! For, He was the Word.

He said to Lazarus, after being dead and stinking, four days; his face, nose, had fell in, in that much time. "Lazarus, come forth!" And a man, dead, raised up on his feet. Why? It was God. He that was in Christ was God. The dead could not stand in His Presence. It was God in Christ.

*THEN, HE THAT WAS IN CHRIST IS IN US, SEE, FOR IT DOES THE SAME WORKS HE DID, THE SAME THING.

HE.THAT.IS.IN.YOU_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-1110E

158      The winds, now, remember, God created the winds; it's air. God created the waves; it's water. But when the Devil got into it, he got it tumbling, to bring destruction. God created men, to be sons of God, but when the Devil gets into them, see, it's trouble. Now, that was the Devil that got into the winds that sent that storm. Couldn't the Creator, that created the wind, say, "Go back where I created you"?

Isn't that the same Creator was standing on Colorado hill the other day? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] See?

Isn't that the same One that could take a piece of fish and break it, and another piece grow on? He didn't actually have to have that. He could have said it.

Isn't that the same Creator that created squirrels? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Then, He that was in Christ is in us, see, for It does the same works He did, the same thing.
The dead could not stand in His Presence, at His Word.

1Co 10:10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

1Co 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

1Co 10:12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1Co 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1Co 10:14  Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Col 1:21  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Col 1:22  In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
Col 1:23  If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Col 1:24  Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
Col 1:25  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Col 1:26  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Col 1:29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

*CHRIST'S DEATH SETTLED THE QUESTION.

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

49-5    Christ's death settled the question. When that bee of death stung Him and anchored that stinger... You know, a bee--a insect that has a stinger, if it ever anchors that stinger into--deep enough, when it pulls away, it pulls the stinger out of it. Death always had a stinger.

Death always had a stinger. And one day when that--going up Calvary, and the bumping of them rocks, the Blood splashing upon the rocks... When it hit the dirt on Calvary, going to Golgotha, the back of that cross was dragging out the Bloody footprints of that little, frail body going, marching along there, them whipping and mashing Him as He went up the hill; but He had a absolute. He knew where He stood, because the Word of God said through David, "I'll not leave My holy One to see corruption; neither will I leave His soul in hell."

He knew corruption set in seventy-two hours. He said, "Destroy this temple, and I'll raise it up again in three days." He had an absolute.

There He went up the hill with gobs of mockery spit of drunken soldiers, that put a rag around His face, and hit Him on the head, and said, "If you're a prophet, tell us who hit you." There He was going up the hill in shame and disgrace to be--His clothes stripped from Him, despising the shame, hanging on the cross before the people naked; dying in Roman disgrace under government capital punishment, a Man that had done nothing.

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

50-1    A little story one time said Mary Magdalene run out and said, "What has He done? Healed your sick, raised the dead, and brought deliverance to those that would--in captive. What has He done?"

And a priest smacked her in the mouth till the blood flew out, and said, "Would you listen to her or your high priest?" Oh, that denominational world, it's a curse of all of it. That's it. There it is.

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

50-3    And they took Him on. But as He went up the hill dragging... The devil had always doubted it, Him being what He was. Said, "If thou be the Son of God, turn these stones into bread. You claim you can do miracles. If you are the Son of God, command these stones to be turned to bread."

ABSOLUTE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1230M

53-2    Here went the Son of God; that bee of death begin to buzz around Him. "Aw, how could He be a prophet. How could He stand there and let--spit in his face? How could he stand there and let them make fun of him and not do something about it. That isn't Emmanuel. That's just an ordinary man. Look at the drunken slobbers from them drunken soldiers. Look at his face bleeding."

The devil said, "I'll get him. I'll get him." Here he come like a bee, the sting of death, buzzing around Him. But, brother, when that bee ever anchored its stinger in that Emmanuel, when he come out, he lost his stinger.

Even death itself... No wonder Paul later could look in the face of it and say, "Oh, death, where is your stinger; grave, where is your victory? Thanks be to God, Who giveth us the victory." Christ's death was the absolute to every man that feared it.

My heart says "amen" to every word in His Book. I'm closing, sure enough now. I just got to cut this off. See?

*BUT A MAN WHO HAS ANCHORED HIS SOUL INTO CHRIST JESUS, HIS TRUST THERE, KNOWING THAT WHEN HE ASKS THE FATHER ANYTHING IN HIS NAME, "JESUS SAID, 'I'LL DO IT.'" THAT SETTLES IT.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

42      And long as there is an Eternity, Christ will ever be the Saviour, and the way out of every problem, every difference, every trial, everything. And therefore we--we, when we are tied to Him, we don't get flusterated and all worked up like the world does, "And, oh, what will we do about this? What will we do about that?" We seem as if we're not even anchored. But a man who has anchored his soul into Christ Jesus, his trust there, knowing that when he asks the Father anything in His Name, "Jesus said, 'I'll do it.'" That settles it.

43    That, that settles it. It's the amen. It's the absolute. It's the ultimate. When Jesus said, "Ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll grant it." Now, that's an ultimate. That's it. "Whatever you have need of, when you pray, believe that you receive it, you shall have it." That settles it. That's all of it, see, if we're really anchored and believe It, and we've made Him our Absolute. Cause, He does. He is the Absolute that takes us from all fear. There's no fear when you're really tied to the Rock of Ages.

*AND WHEN A MAN CAN PRAY THE PRAYER OF FAITH, AND ANCHOR HIS SOUL YONDER IN THE WORD OF GOD, WHERE, "ALL HEAVENS AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY, BUT THAT WORD CANNOT," THERE IS NO FEAR.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

44      There is no fear to the sailor, how hard the ship is being buffet by the waves, as long as that anchor is holding in the top of the mountain yonder. Why, sure. He knows the ship is going to stay up. It isn't going against some rock somewhere. It isn't going to get in some shallow water and be turned over, because it's got the absolute anchored in the top of some mountain.

45    And when a man can pray the prayer of faith, and anchor his soul yonder in the Word of God, where, "all heavens and earth will pass away, but that Word cannot," there is no fear. Let them come, say whatever they want to. Our faith is in God, God alone. We believe it.

* IF YOU LOVE GOD, WELL, WELL, WE SHOULD BE BUSY. IT SHOULD BE OUR--OUR HOPES, OUR DESIRES. IT SHOULD BE. EVERYTHING THAT'S IN US SHOULD BE IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

*BUT THERE'S ONE STAR THAT NEVER CHANGE. THERE'S ONE THING THAT CAN NEVER CHANGE, THAT'S GOD. GOD CANNOT CHANGE. HIS WORD CANNOT CHANGE.

Certainly.

*WHAT COULD YOU TRUST MORE IN THAN SOMETHING LIKE THAT? "IF YE ABIDE IN ME, MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, THEN ASK WHAT YOU WILL."

A.ABSOLUTE_  HOUSTON.TX  MONDAY_  63-0304

114      Oh, sure, a prayer meeting is what we need. We must be Christians. All Christians must use this same absolute, the Word of God. God's Word is the Christian's stay.

115    Jesus said, in His Word, "If ye abide in Me, My Words abide in you, then you can ask what you will, and it'll be done for you." Think of it. What more of an absolute would you want? What could you trust more in than something like that? "If ye abide in Me, My Words abide in you, then ask what you will."

116    To ask for God to work upon the heart of that judge, or that parole board, and get that little fellow out of that death cell! If we ask it with faith, believing, in these prayer meetings, we'll get it. That, I just believe God like that.

117      And my faith that I have in God, that's why I'm here tonight. That's why I canceled out something else, and got in here. I got to drive hundreds of miles tonight, back to Tucson, Arizona, because I come to put my faith with yours. That's a man. It's a soul laying yonder. It's someone in need. And we Christians have got to wake up to a reality, to real genuine faith. Tie it to the Word of God, and plead that promise. Yes, sir. Oh, my! "If ye abide in Me, and My Word in you, ask what you want."

*AND, IT MAKES YOU SAY THINGS YOU WOULDN'T ORDINARILY SAY, A MAN THAT'S GOT A CHRIST-CENTERED LIFE.

AN.ABSOLUTE_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  63-0127

83      Now, Paul had a Christ-centered life. He... That was, Christ, was Paul's absolute.

84    He had--he had been a great teacher, Paul had. He was taught under Gamaliel. And a great teacher he was, of his, under the denomination of his Pharisee background. And he was taught, schooled, and he had a great background.

85    I think, when he received the Holy Ghost, and went down into Egypt for three years, I think that must have been where he got to taking the Scripture and comparing It with the revelation that he had had, to see if It was right. And you know the great, famous book, of Hebrews, none other could have wrote it but Paul, because he knowed how, those types and antitypes. What a beautiful lesson!

86    And now, Paul had met Jesus one day. Met the... Met Him, face to face, on the Damascus road when he was going down to persecute the Christians.

87    A--a great brawler giving out great threats, and doing things against the Church of God, making havoc of It, even persecuting It unto death. And one day on the road down...

88      The reason he had this Christ-centered life is because he, personally, now laying aside his teaching, he personally met Christ.

89    And that's the only way that you're ever going to know Him, is to meet Him. See? Now, "To know Him is Life," not even know His Word, as good as It may be. Yet, you've got to know Him. "To know Him is Life."

90    And Paul had not had this experience yet. And he said, one place here, "The life that I now live..." Showed that he had lived a different life, one time. His life had been changed.

91    And when your life is changed, it makes you do things you ordinarily would not do. And, it makes you say things you wouldn't ordinarily say, a man that's got a Christ-centered life.

92    Why, Paul stood right in the midst of the people, those Jews, and so forth. He was... one speck of fear about him. He knowed Who he had believed. And he--he had a--a life that he would by no means have did it, if he hadn't have found something that was genuinely and had anchored him.

*AND A BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN IS TIED TO CHRIST, AND THE BIBLE IS THE ANCHOR.

AN.ABSOLUTE_  SHREVEPORT.LA  V-17 N-10  SUNDAY_  63-1201M

65    And the real borned-again people of this age, that's filled with the Holy Ghost, is the tie post of this Scripture that's got to be fulfilled in these last days. They are the ultimate. It's God's ultimate, because it's His Word; and the Word is Christ, the tie post. There is no way to get away from it. Something that holds you.

Pro 14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Pro 14:13  Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
Pro 14:14  The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

Pro 14:16  A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

Pro 14:18  The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Pro 14:19  The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

Pro 14:22  Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

Pro 3:1  My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Pro 3:2  For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Pro 3:3  Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Pro 3:4  So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Pro 3:8  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Pro 3:9  Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Pro 3:10  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
Pro 3:11  My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
Pro 3:12  For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Pro 3:13  Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Pro 3:14  For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
Pro 3:15  She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
Pro 3:16  Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Pro 3:17  Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Pro 3:18  She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
Pro 3:19  The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Pro 3:20  By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
Pro 3:21  My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
Pro 3:22  So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
Pro 3:23  Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
Pro 3:24  When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Pro 3:25  Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Pro 3:26  For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Pro 3:27  Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Pro 3:28  Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Pro 3:29  Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Pro 3:30  Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Pro 3:31  Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
Pro 3:32  For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
Pro 3:33  The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
Pro 3:34  Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
Pro 3:35  The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
