Whether it's mother, or father, loved ones, whether it's friends, whatever it is, all other grounds is sinking sand; on Christ alone I stand. It's an individual affair, not of groups of people. But it's to you as an individual, that you yourself, as a sole human being might, notice, might forsake your own thoughts.

As long as you have your own thoughts, your own ways, your ways are contrary to God's ways. And you cannot be right and think your own thoughts, for you've got to die to your own thoughts. Do you know that? Your thoughts, as long as you look at it, you look at it materially; you say, "Oh, well, that can't happen. It's just not reasonable. It's not sensible to even think such a thing."

  E-28    Isn't that marvelous--God separating us from the things of the world. Nothing we could do. We were dead in sin, trespasses, without hope, without God, in the world, alienated, cut off, going to a devil's hell, a sinner's grave. And in due season Christ died for us all, producing and giving to us the waters of separation.   15    One of the biggest failures in the world is the church. That's--that's right. Churches has miserably failed. Everything's failed. "But we receive a Kingdom which will not fail: Jesus Christ." It cannot fail. And we're so happy for that, that it's not a church affair. It's an individual affair. It's not whether my church is saved; it's whether I am saved. It isn't whether my deacon's saved, or my pastor's saved, or my mother's saved; it's whether I am saved or not, myself, I must be saved. Then I must tell them. And then, if they're saved, wonderful; if they're not, I must still remain saved. That's... I must retain my salvation. Oh, what a wonderful day.

But I'm so glad that there's a Father in heaven Who has His characters set too for this great drama. When the antichrist takes them into this decease of everything, even to time, God is ready in His drama to lift His church into eternity into the blessful realms of the eternal with God Himself, when these old vile bodies will be changed and made like unto His own glorious body, and this corruption shall take on immortality, and in His likeness we will stand forever.

If I would say something within myself, it would certainly be a mistake. Many times it confuses me when there's so many. The best way when I have the patient to myself, individually talking to them, to contact them personally... But when it's... Sometimes when it's in a mixed audience like this, it's kind of hard to--to feel just what it is, and to know what it is. But you have to be very sensitive to spirits.

  E-6    Now, we realize, and everyone knows there is spirits. Then if there's spirits, there's bound to be a Master of that spirit, because It changes the nature of sinners into Christians. And there's bound to be a Master or Head there somewhere, and that's God. And He sent His Son on earth, made in likeness of sinful flesh, and He died that we might be redeemed and brought back to God to be sons and daughters of God, to walk with Him again. That missing link from the garden of Eden, what Adam lost, Christ restored again.

David was expecting God to keep His Word when he met the giant. Samson was expecting God to keep His Word when he laid his arms around the pole. Samson was expecting God to keep His Word when he picked up a jaw bone of a mule and beat down a thousand Philistines. The Hebrew children was expecting God to keep His Word when they walked into the fiery furnace. Daniel was expecting God to keep His Word when he went in among the lions. The woman that touched the hem of His garment was expecting God to keep His Word. Martha was expecting God to keep His Word when He said, "I am the Resurrection and Life."

  E-26    That was the sacrificial Lamb. The Blood was in the shape of the cross, on the lintel on the door post and was a sign that death could not come to that house. And when death tries to strike us, that separation from God, then the Blood is applied by the Lord Jesus Christ, and the death angel cannot take it. No sir, for we are free then.

We are in Christ and led by the Spirit of Christ: led. Many men and nearly all men... I'll say all men, that's ever amounted to very much in this life has been men and women who have been led to do the gallant things they've done by the Spirit of God.

I think tonight one of the greatest generals that America has ever had was Stonewall Jackson. I believe there's never been a general that's like him since Joshua. Why was it he done that? He was a gallant man. He was a man of prayer. He--he closed up everything, even made all his generals, and everything, don't even eat breakfast, or nothing, and lay on their face and seek God. Yes, sir. General Grant, or, I'm... Stonewall Jackson, I'm thinking of instead of Grant...

  E-27    General Grant was a drunk, alcoholic, but Stonewall Jackson was a Christian gentleman, and he loved the Book of Joshua. And he wanted to be like Joshua, and God give him the desires of his heart. And one day he was asked, "Why is it, Mister Jackson, that you can stand in such opposition, so many men against you, and you take a little handful and stand?"

He was a very timid sort of a fellow, little short fellow, kind of blue-eyed and dark hair. He kicked his boots on the dust, and he said, "I never put a glass of water to my mouth without thanking Almighty God."

There's where it comes from. That's right. There's where the secret lays: trusting God, being led by the Spirit of God. God speaks to man; man hears His Voice.

95    He was an odd-looking sort of a Fellow. The Bible said, "There's no beauty we should desire Him." He didn't look like a king.

96      Beauty is of the devil, always. That's exactly right. And we might get to that, a little later on, so then find out. We see what Cain offered, and see what it was in Heaven, and find out what this world, vain beauty is, and what. Hollywood has took over, today, even the church. Yes, sir. It's a false conception, of the devil.

97    Amidst the beauty of the Lord, in holiness and Power; not in paint, and powder, and shorts, and everything else that they're trying to wear and do it. It's in beauty of the holiness and righteousness. We are not of this world. We're from a kingdom that's Above, where dwelleth righteousness within. Yes.

98    They won't adorn themselves with That. Too much television, and so forth.

E-11    Now, if the Church of the living God, which is the pillar of the truth... God intended this Church to be a powerful Church, a glorious Church, a Church that the whole world could look upon as a--a Bride of Christ well expected and espoused, and to live in such a--an atmosphere and conduct itself in such a way that the--God would be proud of this Church to present it to Christ at the coming of the Lord. It should live in that--in that characteristic in the Church, and it should be living that way…..

  E-12    But in the Word I find that God did not intend for the church to be governed by intellectual or by any theology of man, but the Holy Spirit was given to the Church to govern and control the body of Christ. And I think in doing that, with that in mind and in God's program, we will never be successfully, no matter how good our intentions are, until we get back into the center of God's program where the Holy Spirit...

…Now, watch what God did to the Royal Seed to make the covenant confirmed. He took Christ, which was the Seed of Abraham; on Calvary He tore Him apart. He took the Spirit off of Him, and put His body in the grave and His soul in hell, and raised Him up on the third day, and raised up His body, and brought it up into glory, and there sent the Spirit back down, and kept the body on His right hand side. Sent the Spirit back down, to live in the church, to make a church just so much with the Life of Christ that in the resurrection, the two will come together, Bride and Bridegroom, the church and Christ will be exactly alike with the same kind of ministry, same kind of power, same kind of Spirit. He raised up the body of Jesus Christ and set on His right side, His right hand, and poured down the Spirit upon the church on the day of Pentecost. That's how God proved His covenant with His church.

4-3    The Holy Spirit that was in the garden of Eden was to water the Seed. Man wasn't made to die; he's made to live, but hybreeding brought life--of death there, rather. She hybrid. Now, you deny the serpent's seed. Then I'll ask you, "What's these funeral services about?" She's hybrid. Every one of us are hybrid from the original. That's the reason we're constantly dying. But (oh God.) there's a germ of Life come from the real Seed, that God's proved It was His Seed; He rose Him up again. See? That through that Life that's going over the original Seed like was given to Eve over His real church, it's bringing forth Life again through the birth, through the womb of His Bride. See?

Oh, it's rich and glorious. I give a little time to study so it'll sink in.
He is that Seed. He is that Seed that was produced by the Word of God. "Be it unto me according to Thy word." There's the Seed (See?), taking the Word. See?

  119-4    All right. Now, here is what I'm trying to say to you: The law of reproduction bring forth of its kind (Genesis 1:11). These last days, true church Bride comes to the Headstone, will be the super church, a super race. As they near the great Headstone they will be much like--so much like Him, even they will be in His very image in the order to be united with Him. They will be One. They will be the very manifestation of the Word of the living God. Denominations can never produce this. This will be... They will produce their creeds and dogmas mixed with the Word and--and brings a hybrid product.

 * 119-5    The first son was spoken Seed Word of God. He was given a bride (I'm just reviewing the Spirit, and I was picking up what I said. See?) a bride produce--to produce himself. She fell. (See, that's what the bride was given, to produce himself again another son of God, but she fell by hybreeding. See?)--produced himself, but she fell: caused him to die.

** The second Son, a spoken Seed-Word of God was given a bride like Adam, but before He could marry her, she had fallen also; for she was put to a free moral agency like Adam's wife was: to believe God's Word and live, or doubt It and die; and she did.

 *** 120-1    Then from a little group of the true Seed of the Word, God will present Christ a beloved Bride, a Virgin, a Virgin of His Word. And through them and by them will be fulfilled all that has been promised for His Word in the Virgin, who knows no man-made creeds or dogmas. The Word of promise in Himself like it was in Mary, God Himself made manifest... He will act Himself by His own Word of promise so to fulfill all that has been written of Him. As He did when He came from the virgin womb (type of the spirit womb now), so will the Virgin now, accepting His Word: "Be it unto me as Thou has said," though it was said by an Angel while it yet was the written Word (Isaiah 9:6). They will love Him (love His--), and will have His potentials, for He is their Head, and they are His subjects, subject to His Head. Headship of Christ was His.

*  120-2    Notice, what harmony. Jesus never did anything until seen of the Father or the Father showed Him first: (Harmony between God and Christ. See? John 5:19) So will the Bride, and He shows Her His Word of Life (He shows Her), and she receives It. She never doubts it.
Nothing can harm Her, not even death; for if the Seed be planted, the water will raise it up again. Amen. (Now, I got a great big "Hallelujah.") Here is the secret: the Word is in the Bride and the mind of Christ to know what He wants done with the Word, and She does it in His Name. She has THUS SAITH THE LORD.

Then it is germitized; so the Holy Spirit waters it until it is grown and serves its purpose. They do only His will. (Amen. I'll believe that.) No one can persuade them different. They have THUS SAITH THE LORD, or they keep still. Then they will do the works of God. For it is Himself in them, continuing His Word to fulfill as He did complete in His day. All things when He was here--He did not complete all when He was here, for it was not time yet.
 
125-3    As the end time prophecies will repeat, I believe, as the first forerunner came from the wilderness and cried, "Behold the Lamb of God," the second forerunner will probably do the same by pointing the people to a Word born Bride. The Bride of Christ will be pointed to the skies at the appearing of Jesus, screaming, "Behold the Lamb of God," will come forth from his lips. God help us to be ready for this near event.

 

23-1113P_THE GOD WHO IS RICH IN MERCY PT-9

Eph 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 

Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 

Eph 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 

Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 

Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 

Jer 31:3  The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. 

Psa 48:9  We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. 

Psa 48:10  According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. 

Psa 48:11  Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments. 

Psa 48:12  Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof. 

Psa 48:13  Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following. 

Psa 48:14  For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. 

37    What caused this change, you see? And what caused it, "from one time being dead," to quicken? Quicken means "made alive." There was a change, from death unto Life. There is no other, there is no other thing that could happen to any person, so great, as to change him from death to Life. A man, if he was dying, physically, and could be healed physically, that would be a great thing, but nothing so great as when he is spiritually dead and God has quickened him to Life.

  38      "You once, in times past, dead." You were dead. Even many here tonight, one time, can look back and know that you were dead. But now why aren't you dead tonight, as you were then? You deserve to be that way, because you was a sinner, "but God Who is rich in mercy." That's the--that's the thing, "God Who was rich." All these things that we were, "but God"! That made the change right there, "God Who is rich in mercy"!

39    Oh, I'm so glad for that, that He being rich in mercy. If He was just rich in money, if He was just rich in materials, which He is, but yet the greatest thing is being rich in mercy. Oh, what a great word that is, how that we were once dead.

  40      And we was speaking the other night on how the seed must die. And everything around that germ of life must not only die, but rot. If it doesn't rot, it cannot live. And rot is, "completely done away with; it's finished." And until we get to the place that our own ideas and our own thinking is completely gone and it's rotted away from us, then the germ of life can begin to live.

41    Now--now we might, I might inject just a little bit of doctrine here, that I don't... If you don't believe it, all right. That's just okay. I do believe it. I believe that--that a man, when he is born in this world, that when you're a little baby, born into the world, you could not have been here without being the foreknowledge of God, because He is infinite and He knows all things. And when that little baby is born into the world, there is something in that baby. If he is ever going to have Life, there is a little something in there, in that child then, that he comes to, sooner or later. That little seed is in him. Now if you'll take... The Scriptures plainly declare that.

  42      Now if you've got Eternal Life tonight, if we have Eternal Life, then we always were, because there is only one form of Eternal Life. We always were. And the reason we were, because we are a part of God. And God is the only thing that's Eternal.

43    And like as Melchisedec received tithes from Abraham, and it was lotted to his great-grandson, Levi, who was yet in the loins of Abraham; paid tithes, for he was yet in the loins of Abraham when he met Melchisedec. I want to speak on that over at the other place, one morning. Who Is This Melchisedec? Now notice that. Way back, God knew this boy coming down. He knowed all things.

44    Now we are a part of God. You always was. You don't remember it, because you were only an attribute in God. You were only in His thinking. Your very name, if it ever was on the Book of Life, it was put there before the foundation of the world. He knew what you were.

  45      I'm only saying this, not to mix up doctrine, but to straightened it out, that we might get away from this fear and scare. You don't know who you are. You are not going to be, but now you are the sons of God. See, you always were the sons of God. See?

46    For when God had you in His thinking at the beginning, you have to be, some part of you, your Life that's in you now, had to be with God before there. Well, when He, before He even become material here on earth, before there was anything, but God, you were one of His attributes. He knowed what your name would be. He knowed the color of hair you would have. He knowed all about you. The only thing happened is when you, being a sinner...

THAT SEED IS IN HIM, AND IT'S QUICKENED.

  51      Look at Paul, when Paul was a great theologian. But when he come face to face with that Word, Jesus, it quickened. He come to Life right quick, because he was ordained to be that. The... He was part of the Word; and when the Word saw the Word, it was his nature. All the clucking of the hens, in the orthodox churches, didn't have no effect upon him; he had saw the Word. It was part of him. He was an eagle. He wasn't a chicken; he was just in the barnyard with them. But he was a eagle, to begin with.

  52      I heard a similar little story, I hope it don't sound sacrilegious, about a little duck being born under a hen, one time. He couldn't understand. A funny-looking little fellow, odd guy, and he couldn't understand the dust and everything. They were playing in the barnyard. But one day the old hen led the little brood out behind the barn, and he got a smell of water. Well, he took out towards that water as hard as he could go. Why? He had never been on a pond before. He had never been in the water. But he was a duck, to begin with. Only thing he had to do was come to himself.

53    That's the same thing the believer is. There is something in him, that, when he meets God face to face, he comes to himself. That seed is in him, and it's quickened. My, that's right, and he flies away from the things of the world. They become dead to him. My, I remember, we all had our life, in the past, in those things of the world. But once we got a hold of that real Thing, something that quickened us, a little seed that come to Life, then all the things of the world rotted right there. We had no more desire of it.

*WHERE WOULD WE HAVE BEEN TONIGHT IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR GOD'S RICH MERCY UPON US?

  54      "He that's born of God, doth not commit sin. The worshiper once purged has no more conscience of sin, no more desire to sin." The sin question is over. You become a part of God, in Christ. Christ died to redeem you.

55    Now just think of all that we would have been if it hadn't been for God. But God, in His rich mercy, how He has redeemed us tonight! Where would we have been tonight if it hadn't been for God's rich mercy upon us?

AND HE WENT AWAY AND MADE A PROVIDED WAY FOR THE ONES THAT WANTED TO COME IN

56    Once the world was so sinful, that man had caused corruption to come upon the earth until it even grieved God that He ever made man. The whole head was a putrefied sore, the whole body, and God even grieved that He ever made a man. So He said, "I will destroy man who I have created." He will destroy them because he has nothing but just a bunch of corruption.

57    And the whole human race would have been wiped out at that time, but God, rich in mercy, would not let the innocent perish with the guilty. And He went away and made a provided way for the ones that wanted to come in, that wanted to do what was right. He, made a way of mercy for those who desired mercy, and He prepared an ark. In other words, He put some wings on His eagles, that they could fly above the judgment, and not drown with the chickens. But He--He made a way of an escape, in the days of Noah. This caused Him to do that, to provide it, because He was rich in mercy.

THE REASON THEY REFUSE IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING IN THERE TO RECEIVE IT.

  58      But after He has provided a way for people and then they refuse it, now, the reason they refuse it is because there is nothing in there to receive it. There is nothing to receive it. My mother used to say, "You cannot get blood from a turnip, because there is no blood in a turnip." So if there is no form of Life in there to receive It, then It cannot be received.

59    That's the reason the Pharisees could look right in the face of Jesus, and call Him, "Beelzebub," because there was nothing in them to receive Him. "But all the Father has given Me," He said, "will come to Me." There--there is some way it's going to be presented.

*GOD HAS TO DO THE DRAWING. THERE HAS TO BE A LIFE.

  60      You can talk to people sometime on the streets, talk to them about the Lord, they laugh right in your face. Well, we're supposed to do it, anyhow. But listen, "There is no man can come to Me except My Father draws him first." God has to do the drawing. There has to be a Life. "And all that He has given Me, will come to Me."

*AND THEN BECAUSE THAT HE DID THIS, MAKES HIM RICH IN MERCY, AS HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN RICH IN MERCY.

61    He made a provision for those who wants to be redeemed. He made a provision for those who wants to be healed. And then because that He did this, makes Him rich in mercy, as He has always been rich in mercy. It must be, if you refuse This, there is nothing left but the Judgment, because sin must be judged.

*NOW THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO OBTAIN MERCY, IS TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT GOD HAS GIVE US TO FOLLOW IN.

62    Pharaoh, when he went into the--the sea, as an impersonator, seeing that he could go in like Moses did. Moses with his army, and Pharaoh with his army, both of them should have perished in the sea, looked like. But God, rich in mercy, made a way of escape for the Hebrew children, (why?) because they were following in the line of duty, they were following in the Word.

63    Now that's the only way to obtain mercy, is to follow the instructions that God has give us to follow in. That's the only way He can show mercy, is when we follow what He said do.
