23-0227P_HE SWORE BY HIMSELF PT-3

23-0227P_HE SWORE BY HIMSELF PT-3

Heb 6:10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Heb 6:11  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Heb 6:12  That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Heb 6:13  For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

Heb 6:14  Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

Heb 6:15  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Heb 6:16  For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

Heb 6:17  Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

Heb 6:18  That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Heb 6:19  Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Heb 6:20  Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

It's absolutely impossible for God to lie. That's the one thing. Is that right? Now, it's impossible for God to lie. It's two of them. First, it's impossible for God to lie. Now, the next thing is that God Himself that can't lie, to make it perfect, double, He swore by it (Amen.) that He would confirm this oath. Oh, what a great...

HE SWORE BY HIMSELF  JEFFERSONVILLE IN   54-1212   106 V-26 N-11

Notice. In the Old... Many ways we make covenants. Here in America when we make a covenant, why, we just go out and make an agreement and reach over and shake one another's hands, and say, "That's it, boy. Seal her. Here we are. All right." We shake on it. That's the way we make a covenant.

Down in Japan they got a funny way of making a covenant. They go out and make their agreement; then they get a little salt and throw it on one another. That's the way they make a covenant, throwing salt on one another.

But in the time of Abraham, the way they made a covenant, the way God made a covenant, they took an animal and split it apart. And they took a piece of paper and wrote on this piece of paper, whatever they were--their agreement was. And they tore this piece of paper apart, and one man took one part, and the other man took the other part. And they took an oath over the dead body of this sacrifice, that if either of those broke that covenant, let their--let them be as this dead animal was below them. And when they come together again, to make this covenant right, these two pieces of paper had to dovetail right straight together letter by letter, for it would be the same piece of paper.

THE.CALLING.OF.ABRAHAM_  SAN.FERNANDO.CA  WEDNESDAY_  55-1116

E-42    Now, here's what God did for us in Christ. God manifested in flesh, took His own Son up to Calvary, and there He killed His own Son on Calvary's cross to make a covenant with the human race. And when He did, He nailed Him to the cross, the dead sacrifice, it was, and pulled out of Him the Holy Spirit. "Into Thy hands I commend My Spirit," Blood running from His side, and hands and feet. And God pulled out the Spirit from Him, and shoved the body down in the grave, raised it up on the third day, and set it on His right hand, and sent the rest of the agreement back to the Church, which was the same Holy Ghost that was upon Christ come upon the Church. And the only way in the world we'll ever be able to make it at the day of the judgment is for that same Holy Spirit, that was upon Jesus Christ to have to dovetail, as His Wife through the Body. Amen. That's the covenant that God wrote to the Church. He tore Christ apart, soul and body.

*HE SWORE AND PROMISED ABRAHAM HE WOULD SAVE HIM AND HIS SEED.

56    Then we goes back again there and find out how all the lukewarms over here in the end of the age, at this side, how it all cools off. Just like it did under the Jews, so is it doing under Gentiles: cooling off as it's going this a way, the shadows dimming out.

Just like it was, the days of Wesley, and we brought that in last night, and Luther. What a great revival you had, but the next round it begin to cool off. The next round it got cooler. And now it's just a bunch of creeds and forms. That's all there is to it. See? And that's the way it's been all the way along. So then we've taught that.

THE.SEAL.OF.GOD_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-4  FRIDAY_  54-0514

58    Now, close now, listen, so that you'll be sure to remember. I'm not condemning Catholic people; I'm not condemning Protestant people, for out of both and all of them comes the seed of God by election. Those who are ordained to Life will see It and walk in It. Those who cannot see, walk in darkness. That's up to God. God does it. He swore and promised Abraham He would save him and his Seed. Now, if you got Abraham's Seed, you got Eternal Life (That's all.), and you're heirs according to promise. And it's all by grace and by election of God.

THEN HOW FIRM A FOUNDATION YE SAINTS OF THE LORD.

MELCHISEDEC.THE.GREAT.PRINCE.AND.KING_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  55-0109M

E-12    I'm sure the class can remember of how that we taken that into see what God had done, how He had promised Abraham, that He would give him this covenant and make it with him and his seed forever after. And God swore by an oath. And anyone swearing by an oath, swears by someone greater than they are. So God had no one greater than Himself to swear by, so He swore by Himself that He would keep this covenant with Abraham. Then how firm a foundation ye saints of the Lord.

*NOW, WE FIND HERE THAT THE REASON THAT WE COULD BE UNDISTURBED, BECAUSE IT WAS GIVEN TO OUR FATHER ABRAHAM AND TO HIS CHILDREN. MELCHISEDEC.THE.GREAT.PRINCE.AND.KING_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  55-0109M

E-13    If we'll approach this subject today, real sensibly, calmly, and never be excited... Faith never gets excited. Faith never rushes itself. Faith knows what it's talking about. You never seen our Master excited about anything, standing by the grave of a dead man, He was just as calm as He was when He set on the mount and looked over Jerusalem. Standing on a troubled--on a ship in a troubled seas, and the waves, tossed about, He was so completely rested in God, until it never even paid any attention to it enough to wake up. Always undisturbed, faith is.

MELCHISEDEC.THE.GREAT.PRINCE.AND.KING_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  55-0109M

E-14    Now, we find here that the reason that we could be undisturbed, because it was given to our father Abraham and to his children. And God Who gave the promise, swore by an oath that He would confirm it and keep it. And that He has done. And we find the children of Abraham are not Jews outwardly, which was the tribe of... out of the lineage of Abraham, but through Abraham come Isaac, through Isaac come Christ, through Christ blessed the world. For it said, "Unto and to his seed (which was Christ)..." And through there, that all the tribes of the earth was to be brought into this covenant.

*ONLY THING WE CAN DO IS ACCEPT AND BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT HE HAS ALREADY DONE FOR US

MELCHISEDEC.THE.GREAT.PRINCE.AND.KING_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  55-0109M

E-15    And the Covenant was given to Abraham unconditionally, not, "Abraham, if you'll do something, I'll do this, but I have already done it." See? It isn't what we do, it's what He has done for us. Nothing that we could do to merit anything. Who could we, the unrighteous ones, ever do anything to merit something before the great Jehovah God and His great, supreme holiness? See?

MELCHISEDEC.THE.GREAT.PRINCE.AND.KING_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  55-0109M

E-16    We... Only thing we can do is accept and be grateful for what He has already done for us. Oh, that's so simple isn't it. And I'm positive that many times in people's thinking, that they try to make Divine healing and so forth, some great outreaching something, way away, "If I could only reach it."

Could you imagine Jesus saying, "Now, let Me check My faith, and see if I've got enough faith to do this, see if I'll have to fast awhile to see if I'll have enough faith to do this." He was perfectly unconscious of the faith that He had. He just spoke it and knew that it would be so.

THE RIGHT MENTAL ATTITUDE TOWARDS ANY DIVINE PROMISE OF THIS WORD WILL BRING IT TO PASS, REGARDLESS OF WHAT IT IS.

THE.WATERS.OF.SEPARATION_  MACON.GA  MONDAY_  55-0606

E-24    …..Notice, that represented the waters of separation, represented the Word of God now: Wash us by the water by the Word. The Word is the waters of separation. Christ was the sacrificial beast. And He died in order...

You sick people listen to this. Christ died in order that He might be able to fulfill every Word. He was the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us, and died making the waters of separation, and this is the Word.

This is Christ, every Word in Here is God Itself wrote in print. Receive It into your heart and watch what happens after you receive It.

Just take any Divine promise. Listen to this, and you can make this statement, it's on recordings, everything. But I say this, and challenge anybody. The right mental attitude towards any Divine promise of this Word will bring it to pass, regardless of what it is. If God said so, you take the right mental attitude towards that Word, and see what happens. God's obligated to His Word. He swore by It. We're going to get in that in a few nights.

THE.CALLING.OF.ABRAHAM_  SAN.FERNANDO.CA  WEDNESDAY_  55-1116

Now, to the oath, God took an oath over It. He took an oath tonight swore by Himself, that none other greater to swear by, He swore by Himself, He'd keep His Word. Amen. He will keep His promise. He didn't only say it, but He swore to it, that He'd do it.

THE.CALLING.OF.ABRAHAM_  SAN.FERNANDO.CA  WEDNESDAY_  55-1116

E-41    "What are you trying to do, Brother Branham?" Get you to a place where you can see what God has done for you. That's why these things take place. God has promised to do them, and He's got to do them. In order to be God, He has to keep His promise, brethren.

THE.CALLING.OF.ABRAHAM_  SAN.FERNANDO.CA  WEDNESDAY_  55-1116

He said to the woman, "Can you be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?"

She said, "Yes."

He said, "And you will."

The same Holy Spirit that was upon Jesus Christ was tore out of His body to take the Life out of it, to shed the Blood for remission of sins, and God raised His body and set it on His own throne, on His right side and sent back the same Holy Ghost that was upon Christ to be on the Church in a double portion.

THE.CALLING.OF.ABRAHAM_  SAN.FERNANDO.CA  WEDNESDAY_  55-1116

E-43    Friends, if you have received that Holy Spirit, you are sons and daughters of God. You are the seed of Abraham and joint heirs with him in the Kingdom. And the same faith that was in Abraham is in every believer tonight. Hallelujah.

God, by His amazing grace, called you out of the slop pens of the world, and give you the Holy Ghost, and not because you deserved It, but because He called you to It unconditionally. Not because you were good, 'cause you wasn't good. Not because your mother was saved. That's all right. But you're another individual. That's right. God called you by election.

And sinner friend, if you're here, or lukewarm church member, these things that you see going on here in the tent at nighttime, the Holy Spirit making manifest the resurrection of Jesus. It's the covenant that God said and poured it out through Christ. "The same very same things that I do shall you also. Even more than this, for I go to My Father. A little while and the world will see Me no more, yet you shall see Me, for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world."

I'm not excited. I'm feeling good. I feel very religious. Because why? The Holy Spirit, it's not a guess so; it's not a maybe so; it's not probably so; it's not I'm guessing at it. But I know that Jesus Christ lives and reigns tonight, and He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. His Holy Spirit is here in the building tonight to do the very same thing He done upon earth, if He can find the very same faith. Amen.

23-0224A_PUTTING ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

23-0224A_PUTTING ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Eph 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Psa 18:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said, I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

Psa 18:2  The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psa 18:3  I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psa 18:4  The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

Psa 18:5  The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

Psa 18:6  In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Psa 18:7  Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

Psa 125:1  A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psa 125:2  As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Psa 125:3  For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

Psa 125:4  Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

Psa 125:5  As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Psa 121:1  A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Psa 121:2  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Psa 121:3  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Psa 121:4  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psa 121:5  The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Psa 121:6  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Psa 121:7  The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

Psa 121:8  The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1Jn 4:5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Psa 31:23  O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Psa 31:24  Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psa 34:19  Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Psa 34:20  He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Psa 34:21  Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

Psa 34:22  The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Rom 8:27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Rom 8:30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Rom 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Rom 8:32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Rom 8:33  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Rom 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Rom 8:35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 8:36  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Rom 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

*SO AS LONG AS WE GET DELIVERANCE IS THE MAIN THING.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-10    Well, that's wonderful. That's fine to see that the first night. Usually the people kind of wait till last, then it's kind of hard. Wonderful to see you here with faith in God, that you believe that God will answer. And He will. He doesn't fail. He just won't fail. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but God delivereth them out of them all." So as long as we get deliverance is the main thing. And we get between straits sometimes as Paul and those others who have gone on before us, the great saints and elected men of God. And we are--know, we can't ask to be immune from troubles, but it always something behind it that God makes it work just right for all of us.

*PAUL HERE IS SPEAKING OF A SOLDIER DRESSING, GOING TO WAR, A SOLDIER GETTING HIMSELF IN ARMOR, PREPARING FOR A--A BATTLE…PREPARATION

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

And so, Paul here is speaking of a soldier dressing, going to war, a soldier getting himself in armor, preparing for a--a battle. And I kind of like the way that he places it: preparation.

E-15    You know, I believe it was Lincoln that said one time, "In the time of peace, prepare for war." Or it might not have been he, but it sounds like, seems to me, rather, it was he that made that statement. "In time of peace, prepare for war." And that would be a good thing for us to think about. In time while everything is running smooth, you better get ready, for Satan isn't going to let it run smooth very long. You're in a convention now, and everything will just pour along fine. But you're going to leave here in a few days, and you're going to meet the enemy. He might not even wait till you get ready to leave. He might attack any time. So he's--he's wicked, ruthless. He just carries on whenever he can. Whatever he can say or do, he does it right now, he... So it's best to be dressed all the time.

You might meet him out on the street. You might meet him in your--in the car, hard telling where you meet him. Or he will meet you right in the seat there, and me right at the pulpit here, anywhere. He's just--he's just wicked. And he doesn't care. So we want to be prepared for it.

And this great teacher, St. Paul, was teaching the church how to put on the armor, and he was likening it to a soldier getting ready for the great battle ahead.

WHEN HE WAS FIRST MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, HE DIDN'T HAVE TO SHIFT FOR HIMSELF, AND GOD TAKEN CARE OF HIM.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-18    I'm glad there's something we can put complete trust in, aren't you? Something that's... We don't have to wonder, think about, just know that we could just rest like little children. I think that's the way we should be, especially Christians. We should be like... In the beginning you notice, man is trying to find that place, because when he was first made in the image of God, he didn't have to shift for himself, and God taken care of him. But since he become a--an alien, or a--a wanderer, then he has to shift for himself, and he's suspicious of everything. He's just (if you excuse the expression) kind of spooky. Everything looks a little leery, he's gone, he don't want to wait for it.

*AND THAT'S THE WARFARE BETWEEN GOD AND SATAN, A GREAT WARFARE.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-21    And you know in this warfare between nations, there's a great warfare going on beyond that. And that's the warfare between God and Satan, a great warfare. That was the first warfare, and it's still raging. But, oh, I'm so glad it'll soon come to an end. Then it'll all be over. Satan has his agents out everywhere, watching, spying out on God's people, God's moves. The enemy is setting everywhere, watching, to see what he can do. And God's got some out too...?... So we are thankful for that.

And each nation equips its army with the best and the latest equipment that it can find. That's the reason our old equipment becomes obsolete, is because that we find... Like Germany on the radar, and--and different things that we pick up from other nations, and something that we invent ourself. Now, they got a man whirling around in space. They all holler about that you know: "We got a man in space."

*GOD'S GOT IT ALL FIGURED OUT FOR US….. HE WILL TAKE US RIGHT THROUGH.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-22    Why, that's nothing. We Christians have had one in space for two thousand years. That's right. They're...?... hollering about that. That's nothing new. That's old to us; we knowed that all along. So, see? See, that's just how far ahead we are. They just don't realize it.

Yes, building great big roads and super things like that and trying to make the earth a better place and so forth; they don't realize that the meek's going to inherit it. So there--there you are. So just--just... See, God's got it all figured out for us. That's only thing we have to do, is just hold onto Him and just go right on if have all believing. That's all He asked us to do. He will take us right through.

***HE JUST GIVE US THE BEST; THAT'S HIS WORD.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-23    So we find out that these secret agents of the enemy that sits around... Each nation now, will equips its men with the latest equipment, the very latest. And they study, and they do everything. They're trying to counteract the other fellow's weapons, and to get a little more modern weapon, a little--something with a little more punch to it. From the bow and arrow to a musket, and from a musket to a modern rifle, and from that to an atomic; they just keep building. And it keeps them busy all the time. And it's the nation's business. If they want to survive, they want to equip their soldiers with the best equipment that there is.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-24    Well, God, you know He's infinite. See, He don't have to think anything better. He just got the best to begin with. So you can't improve on it. Nothing to be done about it. He just give us the best; that's His Word. Amen. That's right. That's His Word, the best that can be given. God gives His people the very best. And that's what He chose for His children, the very, very best. I'm so glad of that. I see God, our Father, and the Kingdom that we are delegates of. He's infinite.

*SO WE CAN REST ASSURE THAT AS LONG AS WE'RE IN HIM EVERYTHING'S GOING JUST FINE.

 PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-25    Now, these nations keep building, and studying, and working, and probing in science, and everything like that. But you see, God being infinite, therefore He knows the end from the beginning. And before it ever happens He knows how, when, and where. So we can rest assure that as long as we're in Him everything's going just fine. No need of being scared about anything. There isn't anything can bother us. So we're just resting peacefully like little children, and nothing can harm us. So the infinite God...

You see, that's the reason I believe His Word, don't you? Is because that that Word is He. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word made flesh and dwelled among us." Now. So therefore, God knew that Himself couldn't fail because He was over Satan. So He just give Himself (See?), His Word. So that's the defeat.

*SO THEREFORE WE CAN REST UPON WHATEVER GOD SAYS.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-26    Now, God cannot make a decision today, and tomorrow come back and make a better decision (See?), because His first decision is perfect. He never has to change it. So therefore we can rest upon whatever God says. That's the reason that I believe the Bible is God's Word.

Now, the reason I believe that, that God has to judge the world by some standard. And if it's by a church, which one is it? See, there's hundreds of them, and the different churches and organizations. All right. But you can't... the Lutherans say, "We have it." And the Baptists say, "No, we got it." And the Presbyterians say, "We got it." And the Pentecostals say, "No, this is it." The Nazarenes say, "No, this is it."

You'd be confused. But you see, it's the Word. I--I just believe it's the Word. See? Just take it the way it's wrote and believe it. And it's of no private interpretation, it says. It's just written there.

*AND WHATEVER HE SAYS, THE HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE OF US JUST PUNCTUATE WITH "AMEN,"

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-27    And then if He's got to judge the world by some standard, why, this... He's watched over it, so it's just the way it ought to be. So I just believe it like that. Just read it and say, "Yes, Lord." And I believe when we believe God, every time God says anything, we punctuate it with "Amen." That's right, whatever God says. He said, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Now, somebody would say, "Well, in a way, I..."

"Amen."

If He said, "Repent and be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost,"

"Amen," See?

He said, "The just shall live by faith." "Amen."

And He said, "I'll come again."

"Amen." And whatever He says, the Holy Spirit inside of us just punctuate with "Amen," See? Then look for the next thing. See? Now, that's--that's wonderful that we can have a faith like that.

***NOW, WE FIND OUT THAT GOD GAVE HIS CHILDREN THE BEST. AND THEREFORE HE DON'T HAVE TO IMPROVE IT.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-29    Now, we find out that God gave His children the best. And therefore He don't have to improve it. He just... He never changes. He hasn't changed one bit since the first time He gave for His children's protection. Now, when He knew... The war in heaven, He had to kick out Satan. Then He came down on the earth and fortified His children with His Word.

I want to ask you something. Just think, that... Now, Eve did not, while she's standing in this great fort--fortress of His Word... Now, Satan was on the outside trying to use some kind of a technique to get her out of there, for as long as she stayed behind the Word, everything was fine. That's where we make our mistake. We make our mistake when we get from behind the Word. So I believe all Bible believers think it that way. We get from behind the Word, then we're in trouble. But as long as we keep the Word ahead of us... Don't get ahead of the Word; let the Word get ahead of you. See? You just let It go first, and you just live right behind It. It plows the ditch, and you just walk in it. See? And that's the way it goes.

***WHEN GOD FORTIFIED HIS CHILDREN IN THIS FORTRESS OF HIS WORD, AND--AND TOLD THEM, NOW THAT WAS IT...

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-30    Now, we find then in this great time of--of the beginning, when God fortified His children in this fortress of His Word, and--and told them, now that was it... Now, just think: Eve didn't just turn the whole thing down. She didn't say, "Well, God, I guess, is altogether wrong. I don't believe a word of it." No. "I believe half of it, Lord." No. Satan just misconstrued a little bitty fraction of It, not all of it, just a little bit of it. And because that she listened to that one little term, it caused every funeral procession, made every grave, made every gray hair, every sick baby, every sin that was ever committed, because of just taking one little speck of God's Word and just misplacing It.

*SO THERE IS NO BETTER WEAPON THAT HE COULD FIND. SO THEN THE ONLY TACTIC HE COULD USE WOULD BE REASONING.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

E-31    Now, if the infinite God, a God full of love, to misconstrue His Word (just don't believe all of it, just part of it), would let all this happen because of just misbelieving a little bit of It, I believe we're going to have to take every bit of it back again, 'cause just misturning it, saying, "The Bible says this, but honest it doesn't mean that." It does mean that. See? It means that just that way. So we must keep it that way, the way He said it.

But then Eve would... Now, we're going to find out as soon as she had to get... Satan had to get her attention. Now, remember, he's in warfare with God, and men and women is His children. So He's in warfare with Satan. So now remember, Satan comes down to use a tactic to try to counteract God's warfare, His protection. He's trying to find something that he can, a--a better weapon. So there is no better weapon that he could find. So then the only tactic he could use would be reasoning.

*NO REASONING, DON'T STOP TO REASON. JUST KEEP BELIEVING, JUST BELIEVING WHAT HE SAID.

PUTTING.ON.THE.WHOLE.ARMOR.OF.GOD_  S.PINES.NC  THURSDAY_  62-0607

  E-32    "Whosoever will..."

"Well, I know the Holy Spirit was for them back in the early days, but it... Just reasons tell us that we..." Oh, no, don't you do that. "Whosoever will... To you and to your children, and to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." See? No reasoning, don't stop to reason. Just keep believing, just believing what He said.

"Well, Brother Branham, I've sought the Holy Ghost for--for ten years." What you reasoning about? If you've carried out His plan, then just go on. Then just believe it. See? He laid down the plan and just follow that plan. Then it's got to come out right. If it isn't, then He told something wrong. See? So He can't tell us nothing wrong and still be God. So you see, you got to believe it's His Word, or you don't believe Him at all. So--so it's strange, isn't it? But it's really true. It really is the truth.

Eph 3:14  For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Eph 3:15  Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Eph 3:16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Eph 3:17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Eph 3:18  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

Eph 3:19  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Psa 33:1  Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Psa 33:2  Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Psa 33:3  Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

Psa 33:4  For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Psa 33:5  He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Psa 33:6  By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Psa 33:7  He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Psa 33:8  Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Psa 33:9  For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Psa 33:10  The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

Psa 33:11  The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Psa 33:12  Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Psa 33:13  The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

Psa 33:14  From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

Psa 33:15  He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

Psa 33:16  There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Psa 33:17  An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

Psa 33:18  Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Psa 33:19  To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Psa 33:20  Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

Psa 33:21  For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

Psa 33:22  Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

23-0220P_HE SWORE BY HIMSELF PT-2

Heb 6:19  Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Heb 6:20  Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

***LIVE FOR GOD, AND GOD WILL CONFIRM HIS WORD. YES, SIR. HE SWORE THAT HE WOULD DO IT.

E-50    Little John begin to leap in his mother's womb for joy, and the Holy Spirit came upon Elisabeth. She said, "Whence cometh the mother of my Lord? For as soon as your salutation came into my ears, my baby leaped in the womb for joy." Oh, my.

Think what it done. When Jesus' Name was spoke, brought life to that dead baby. What ought It to bring to your limbs, sir? What ought It to bring to your sickness, to you men setting here, and you over there.

Take the name of Jesus with you, everywhere you go; breathe it everywhere in prayer. Be loyal; be holy. Live for God, and God will confirm His Word. Yes, sir. He swore that He would do it. There you are. The Word come into her ears and her baby begin to leap for joy. They was hugging one another.

E-52    I'd rather have a man that didn't know split beans from coffee, and knowed God in His heart to deal with my people, than I would some man with enough education to choke a mule, and know nothing about God. That's right. God bless your heart, brother. An old fashion sassafras experience, what we need today.

We don't want to know "genealogy," you need a little "kneeanology." That's what man needs today. Back to God; back to the prayer life where...?... speaking out. Pray, hold on to God till it comes to pass. God will do it. Hallelujah!

HE SWORE BY THIS COVENANT, THAT WE THAT ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, BORN INTO THAT BODY…

And to think, just as sure as God raised Him out of the grave, setting at His right-hand tonight, making intercessions upon our confessions, that same God has promised. He swore by this covenant, that we that are in Christ Jesus, born into that Body, shall come forth in that Body...?... to be His Bride.

And as God taken from Adam a rib and made Eve out of it, He taken from the side of Christ and made the Church out of it. And we together will walk in the paradise of God someday. Won't that be wonderful? And you won't have stomach trouble there, and you haven't got it any more now. Go eat what you want you; you had ulcers in the stomach, and they're gone. Eat anything you want to, mother, your faith has made you well. Let's say, "Praise the Lord."

AT.THY.WORD_  NEW.YORK.NY  FRIDAY_  51-0928

***YOU GOT AN UNCONDITIONAL COVENANT WRITTEN IN YOUR HEART BY GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF, WHO CAN'T TAKE IT BACK.

E-72    But if you've got the Holy Ghost, you're God's child, you're Abraham's Seed. You got an unconditional covenant written in your heart by God Almighty Himself, Who can't take it back. Amen. He swore that He wouldn't do it. Hallelujah.

Every promise in the Bible is mine,

Every chapter, every verse, every line.

I am trusting in His love Divine.

Every promise in the Book is mine.

God's children, unconditionally... You don't deserve your healing tonight. There's not a one of us in here that deserves to even hear the Gospel. There's not a one of you deserves the grace of Jesus Christ, none of us. We're all all together. But God by grace has did it anyhow. That's right. There's none of you deserve your healing. Every one of you ought to die, me too, all of us. We're not deserved to live on the earth. That's right. We're not deserving to look at God's creation.

But God has promised us and He cannot lie. He swore that He would do it. Healing belongs to us. Amen. Salvation belongs to us. The Holy Ghost belongs to us. Heaven belongs to us. Now we're the sons of God. Now we're setting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. There's nothing can harm us.

E-73    The same God was watching Abraham in his mistake... God made Abraham pay for it. Don't you think he got by with it. But God didn't cast Abraham out. He just made Abraham repent for it.

***THE SUN AND THE MOON IS HUSBAND AND WIFE, OR EITHER THE SUN AND THE MOON IS JESUS AND THE CHURCH.

HE.SWORE.BY.HIMSELF_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-11  SUNDAY_  54-1212

42    Now, there's some of the folks setting here, three or four of them, that's been here since the church has, I suppose, twenty something years, when I was first ordained. And then, as all along, I've always tried to make a--watch the types.

In other words, if I never did see the sun, and I seen what the moon did, throwed light on the earth, and so forth like that, and shined down from the heaven, I'd have some conception of what the sun would be when it did go to shining, because it would... I've looked at the moon; it's a reflection of the sun.

Well, all the old things of the Old Testament, under the law, was just a type, or a reflection of what it is in the Gospel. So if you know the Old Testament, you can have a pretty good idea what the New Testament is, 'cause... And now, Paul's giving the same thing here in the Book of Hebrews. He's showing what the Old Testament was in type, the New Testament is in antitype. Everybody believes that, don't you?

*THAT'S HOW I BELIEVE IN DIVINE HEALING SO STRONGLY, BECAUSE THAT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT DIVINE HEALING WAS THEN.

HE.SWORE.BY.HIMSELF_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-11  SUNDAY_  54-1212

45    That's how I believe in Divine healing so strongly, because that in the Old Testament Divine healing was then. And if the... We have something much better. If the Old Testament produced Divine healing under that little thing, and only thing the New Testament is is something way more, and far better, what has the New Testament got in Divine healing? Oh, it's got much more. See? For the New Testament is better things, says Paul here in the Hebrews. The Old Testament produced... Oh, it was all right.

Like if I'm walking out here, going out to do something here at nighttime, to read, or--or to have services out, and well, it's a--or go wherever I may, travel, and it's a moonlit night. That's mighty nice. I appreciate that. But if the moon can produce that, what will the sun do? And it's strong. It--it just puts the moon out; that's all. See, there just--there's no more of it.

***AND IF YOU NOTICE, WHEN THE SUN COMES UP, THE REASON THE MOON DON'T SHINE…..

And if you notice, when the sun comes up, the reason the moon don't shine, is because the moon and the sun blends together. The moon and the sun is one. Did you know that? The moon is nothing but a--a missile hanging in the air. And the sun's a shining on it, reflecting its light to the earth. The sun is shining through the moon, to the moon, to reflect. See, when the sun's gone around here, it throws its light over here on the moon, and the moon reflects it back to the earth. In other words, the sun and the moon is husband and wife, or either the sun and the moon is Jesus and the Church. While Jesus is gone away, He reflects through the Church His Light. See? So if the moon give Light, what would the sun do?

And if the law gave light, if the law gave healing, what will the Gospel do? See? Oh, it'd be powerful, wouldn't it? Certainly, it would. When did they... See, if... Look, Jesus...
