 E-12    I shall now read from the Book of Saint Luke the 1st chapter, and begin at the 73rd verse for a text. And my subject tonight is "All The Days Of Our Life."

 The oath which he sware unto our father Abraham,
 That he would grant unto us, that... being delivered out of the hands of our enemies might serve him without fear,
 In holiness... righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

I like that: All The Days Of Our Life.

WHEN WE RECEIVE CHRIST, IT ISN'T JUST FOR A FEW HOURS, OR JUST FOR THE TIME OF THE REVIVAL, BUT IT'S TO LAST ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIFE.

  E-13    When we receive Christ, it isn't just for a few hours, or just for the time of the revival, but it's to last all the days of our life. I think each person coming to Christ ought to set down first and think, before you even go to the meeting. "If God should call me, am I ready? If He should speak to my heart tonight, should I stand up; am I ready to surrender all my life to Him?" That's the only way that He will accept you is when you give all your life.

MAN WANTS TO DO THINGS IN--BUT HE WANTS TO DO IT IN HIS OWN WAY… GOD MADE MAN TO DEPEND ON HIM, TO FORSAKE HIS WAY TO CRUCIFY HIS WAY.

Man is prone to have his own way. Man wants to do things in--but he wants to do it in his own way. He showed that just a few hours after his fall. In the garden of Eden he wanted to do it his way. Because man is always satisfied as long as he's doing it his own way.

  E-14    Did you ever notice when you're driving with somebody else. There's just all kinds of mistakes that they make. You push the floorboard out on the other side almost, trying to stop the car yourself. And in your mind you say, "Well, why did he do that?" or, "Why'd he turn this a way? I would've did it so-and-so."

See, that's just the nature of man. He wants his own way. And God did not make man to desire his own way. God made man to depend on Him, to forsake his way to crucify his way. He likened us unto sheep. And the sheep is one animal that cannot find his own way. He must be led. A little lamb can lose hisself from the fold, and he's just totally lost. He just stands there and bleats.

 

IF HE BECOMES A LAMB, IF HIS NATURE IS CHANGED, HE DEPENDS WHOLLY UPON GOD AND UPON GOD'S LEADING.

And that's the way it is with the human being. If he becomes a lamb, if his nature is changed, he depends wholly upon God and upon God's leading.But the earth man, when Adam realized that he had fallen from that estate, where God had him wholly depending on Him, Adam quickly showed his second nature, his fallen nature. And he wanted a way back, to be redeemed, but he wanted to do it his way and after his own thinking.

 

AND AS LONG AS WE TRY TO GO AFTER OUR OWN FEELING, THEN WE ARE USING THE FALLEN STATE OF THE BEING...

  E-15    I trust that the church will understand this: that we have no right to use our own thinking about things. When we become Christians, we totally surrender every bit of our mental powers to God and follow after His leading. And as long as we try to go after our own feeling, then we are using the fallen state of the being.

'CAUSE GOD LED ADAM BEFORE THE FALL; AND AFTER THE FALL, ADAM WANTED TO LEAD GOD… DON'T TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT. THAT'S--THAT'S THE MENTAL POWERS.

'Cause God led Adam before the fall; and after the fall, Adam wanted to lead God. Now, God provided Adam a way, but he didn't want that way. He wanted to make himself a religion. And as we see that he--he wanted to do it himself. He wasn't willing to wait on God, and say, "Lord, You led me before this. And now I'm fallen; I'm lost. Now, help me and show me how to get back to You, Lord." We'd have never had all this trouble we got today.

  E-16    And if man will just come that close to God, that when you're lost, don't try to find your way back. Just surrender to Him, and He will lead you back. Don't try to figure it out. That's--that's the mental powers.

 

THE DEVIL TOOK HIS HEAD; GOD TOOK HIS HEART."

I said sometime ago in a--a meeting, a message. I said, "In the garden of Eden, God and the devil chose their part of the man. The devil took his head; God took his heart."The devil tries to show him with his mental powers some great something he can do. And he only wants to see with his eyes, what he can see. God come in his heart, and makes him believe for things that he cannot see. "For faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." He just believes it. Because God said it; he don't have to see nothing. Or no sense of his body has to declare it; he just believes it in his soul where God lives.But the devil took his head, makes him smart, figures hisself out a religion, a way of escape. God wants to lead him to the path of worship.

  

IF GOD DEPENDED WHOLLY AND COMPLETE SURRENDER, AND TO BE LED BY HIS SPIRIT AT THE BEGINNING, THAT'S THE WAY IT'LL HAVE TO BE FOREVER

  E-17    And so, Adam quickly sewed some fig leaves together, and not waiting on God... I think that's where we've made the mistake all along. If that was wrong in the beginning, it's wrong now. And it will forever be wrong. If God depended wholly and complete surrender, and to be led by His Spirit at the beginning, that's the way it'll have to be forever.God made the way, asked Adam to come to it. But Adam didn't want to go that way, he wanted to hurry up and make his own way. So, we can stay a long time on that.

IT'S STILL THE INTELLECTUAL THINKING OF MAN, AND NOT THE PLAN AND WILL OF GOD.

But notice. He made hisself some fig leaves together for an apron. Well, it's still the same spirit, but they changed the name of "leaves" to "creeds." He's sewing some creeds together now. But it's still the same objective. It's still the intellectual thinking of man, and not the plan and will of God. You can never be saved through creeds. You must come God's provided way. God made the way, but man wants to make his own way.

  E-18    However, the man is very religious. Cain was very religious. And he thought on the thought of coming back to God. And God was willing to receive him back, but Cain wanted to come his way. And God wanted him to come His way. And we find out that there was a conflict completely with them.

 

YOU CAN SEE WHAT KIND OF A STATE THAT MAN'S IN. HE WANTS TO BE RELIGIOUS THOUGH, BUT HE WANTS IT IN HIS OWN WAY.

Now, men today who try to say that they make their own creeds up and so forth, he's doing that by the power of his father, Cain, and his father, Adam. Not as in the Christian, who's borned of the Spirit, and depends on the Holy Spirit, is after the second Adam which was Jesus, the atonement that leads the man by the Holy Spirit.

And when men today tries to say that they don't have to have the Holy Ghost today, then you can see what kind of a state that man's in. He wants to be religious though, but he wants it in his own way.

 

CAIN WANTED TO BE RELIGIOUS, SO HE WENT AND MADE HIS OWN RELIGION… BUT GOD STILL LOVED HIM, AND HE STILL WENT AFTER HIM.  

  E-19    And he's so much like Cain. Cain wanted to be religious, so he went and made his own religion. And when he did, he brought it before God with something like this: "Here's the best I got. This is all I can do about it. Now, take it or leave it."

That's about the way man does today. "I helped build the church. I send my children to church there. I put money in it every year. And that's the best I can do. Take it or leave it." Oh, see, he wants his own way. That's the way Cain did.

But God still loved him, and He still went after him. What did God tell Cain? "You'll do well if you'll just worship like your brother, Abel." Abel come God's way. But Cain wanted his way. And God said, "Now, Cain, I've got nothing against you. If you'll just come over and go the way that Abel goes, you'll do well."

 

THE NATURE OF THE EARTHLY MAN IS RELIGIOUS. CAIN WAS RELIGIOUS. SATAN IS RELIGIOUS.

  E-20    But he hated Abel. He thought Abel was a holy-roller. He hasn't changed his opinion. He thought Abel was a religious fanatic. And he still believes it, that his formal ideas and his culture of his own thing is better than the baptism of the Holy Ghost. But he's wrong. Absolutely wrong. I don't care how well his choir can sing, or how good his preacher can preach; without the shedding of Blood, there's no remission of sin. Back to God's plan. Back to the Bible.

God has a way, but man don't want to come to it. Man said, "Now, look. I'm as good as you are. I go to church. I pay my dues at the church." And he wants to be religious. And that's all right. But he's religious...

But, you see, the nature of the earthly man is religious. Cain was religious. Satan is religious. Religion isn't what saves you; it's the Blood of Jesus Christ what saves you. And that's God's only grounds that He will meet you on for worship. Other's in vain.

 

AND HIS INTELLECTUALS IS OF THE DEVIL. HIS HEART BELONGS TO GOD.

  E-21    Now, we find out that man gets very religious. So he goes out, if he's religious like Cain does, and got the flowers and the fruits of the field, and he made hisself a place to worship, and built an altar. We find man doing that today. He will go out, and he will form hisself a form of godliness, as the Scripture said He would do: "Have a form of godliness, but would deny the power thereof." Now, most of America is guilty of those things, Pentecostal and all, forming themselves a creed, or a code of rules, or something that they'll live by. And the Scripture forewarned us.

And oh, he... There's something in him, because if he is a fallen man, he's still a creature of God's hand-making. There's something in him that makes him worship. And if he wants his own way, he's following his intellectuals. And his intellectuals is of the devil. His heart belongs to God.

  E-22    Notice him. And now, we find him out here. We just passed through a season recently, called Lenten season. Oh, he wants to get real religious during Lenten season. For forty-six days, he will deny his cigarettes or something. And he will... I'll--I'll go with him on self denial. That's all right. For forty-six days he will deny himself of something. He will grumble, and fuss, and hope that forty dayshurries and gets around, that forty-six days. He wants it to get over, because he's sick and tired of doing without a smoke, or he's without a drink, or without something another that he's sacrificed. It's Lenten. And he can't do it unless he plays a hypocrite to his church. He has to keep that Lent.

And then on Monday after Easter Sunday, he goes hog wild after that. That's right. Why? The nature in him. He will buy him a box full of cartons of cigarettes. He will long for that midnight hour to strike, and jump up and grab a cigarette, or get him a drink or something. And he will really tear up for a few days. Why? He's really putting it on big. I'd go with him for the forty-six days. But after forty-six days, he pulls away from me.

  

I BELIEVE THAT CHRISTIAN LIFE IS A CONTINUAL SACRIFICE... GOD'S SPIRIT COMES INTO YOU AND CHANGES YOUR DESIRE.

Oh, how the Christian loves to do it. He doesn't do it with a--a grudge; he does it with a feeling that he loves God; and he's glad he can do it. It's a joy to serve the Lord Jesus. It's a joy to sacrifice. It's a joy to worship the Lord. It's a joy to be called a fanatic for the Kingdom of God's sake. It's a joy to take a stand for the right, and move from the wrong. Joy to praise Him. It's a joy to abstain from the things of the world. It's in their heart. It's a perfect Lent. Lenten all the time. God's Spirit comes into you and changes your desire.

  E-24    Now, we hear so much today about, "We are free. Oh, we live in a beautiful America. We are free." Oh, the air's full of it. Books are wrote of it, thousands of them. But you are a million miles from being free. You're not free. Don't you be deceived by that. America is one of the greatest deceived nations, and in more bondage than any place I know of. They're worse in bondage than communism could put them in. Communism can only hurt the body; they can only put the body in bondage. But when the devil comes in, he puts the soul in bondage.

And man is a slave. America is a bunch of slaves. You may be a slave to pride. You might walk up and down the streets and go through every store and every fashion that you can see on television, and go from store to store trying to buy something. You become a slave to it. You become a slave to your dressing. You can become a slave to your money. That's the only thing that you think of is to make money, grab, and put it up here. If you do that, you're a slave.

  E-25    You may be a slave to your religion. You may be a slave to a bunch of creeds. And let me tell you, a creeds is nothing but framework for a communism. It's the scaffold work that the devil can use to build communism, is a cold formal church. For men and women will go to that church, and become a slave to their religion, become a slave to the devil. Going into the church, and putting your name on the book, and paying money into it... Or either they'll go there and there's never nothing said about wrong.

I don't like to say this, but I going to say it anyhow. I--I'm not speaking too hard. Now, I hope I'm not. I want to say it with season in it. But sisters will go through the... Out here in... On these streets here in Chicago, it's disgracefully, to see them, how they would take their clothes off and walk on the street. And they, seemingly, don't know any different. They don't realize that they're committing adultery. You say, "Well Brother Branham, I know women that..."

A woman cannot wear shorts without having an evil spirit on her. You get that. Because she might not believe it in her intellectuals, but Satan has put that spirit on her to show herself before men. And at the day of judgment, every man that looks at her in a wrong way will be guilty with her for committing adultery with her, on the day of the judgment. And her pastor don't say nothing about it.

 

IF YOU DEFILE THIS BODY, I WILL DESTROY IT," SAITH THE LORD.

  E-26    They say I'm hard. I'm not hard. It's not hard. That's truth. You know why? She's blind and he is too. And the Bible said, "If the blind leads the blind, both of them will fall into the ditch." It's intellectual. And men also will go out and do things: cheat in business deals, and still even be deacons in the church, smoke. When a hundred and thirty-three thousand Americans will die this year from smoking cigarettes, one hundred and thirty-three thousand is marked up for death this year with smoking cigarettes. The medical science said in the last "Reader's Digest," that if a man smokes in these days, it's so advanced that he will never live his time out. Something don't kill him, why, he will die with cancer before his time's out. That's right before his eyes. And yet, he will go on. I shook hands with a pastor the other day, that his fingers was yellow from smoking cigarettes. "If you defile this body, I will destroy it," saith the Lord.

  

SERVE HIM ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIFE IN HOLINESS BEFORE HIM; THAT'S CLEANLINESS, HOLINESS.

  E-27    The Holy Spirit speaking in the Scriptures tonight, said that we might serve Him all the days of our life in holiness before Him; that's cleanliness, holiness. But today, you can mention the word, "holy," and people laugh at it. See how Satan's got it all wrapped up?

But you are a slave. And if you are a Christian, you're a slave. You're a bond slave of the Lord Jesus. If there's two people of you, both spirit and body... And if you cater to the flesh, you're a slave of the devil, and you'll crucify the soul that's in you. For the Bible said, "The soul that sinneth, that soul shall die." And you have to crucify the flesh in order to be a bond slave in your flesh to be a servant of Jesus Christ. So, you're a slave any way you take it. And you'll... You can't get away from it.

21-0423A_ The Invisible Union Of The Bride Of Christ Pt-11 (THE SPIRITUAL UNION OF CHRIST AND THE CHURCH)

THERE HAS GOT TO BE ABSOLUTELY A UNION CONNECTION BETWEEN YOU AND CHRIST, TILL YOU BECOME ONE

 75    I believe it was Sunday morning when I was speaking on the virtues of woman, how blessed, who could find a sweeter thing than to come home tired when God has give a man a wife. A woman and a man is inseparable; they are one. In the creation God created them first both together, and they're one heart, soul, mind, and everything. When He made man in the dust of the earth, He separated him from his wife. When He made Eve, He didn't go make a--a woman, pick up some more dirt, but He took from the side of Adam a rib and made his wife. He said, "She's bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh." They were one in heart, soul, and body.

        It's a type of Christ. God didn't take Christ's Church from a creed, neither did He take It from a denomination. He taken It from the heart of Christ, the spear in His side, through the Blood.

        Now, then when He made that wife, she was a companion. It was something for him to love; it was part of him.

        Now, listen close. A man or a woman can never go to heaven except they are borned again. I don't mean because you've spoke with tongues; I don't mean because you've shouted; I don't mean because you've danced; I don't mean because you've went to church and been regular, wear buttons for your faithfulness; those things are all right; but that's not It. There has got to be absolutely a union connection between you and Christ, till you become one. You are one. And if you're not, how...

•       SEPARATED FROM YOUR FIRST UNION…BORN AGAIN, OR REMARRIED AGAIN, TO THE NEW SPIRITUAL UNION…OF ETERNAL LIFE.

•       SPIRITUAL UNION BY THE WORD.

•       THAT SPIRITUAL UNION OF CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH NOW, WHEN THE FLESH IS BECOMING WORD.

BORN AGAIN, OR REMARRIED AGAIN, TO THE NEW SPIRITUAL UNION

       221      But, remember, when it went down; and the grain begin to ripen. You find, before that grain can ripen, everything in that stalk has to be dead. Hallelujah! Can't you see where we're standing? Life is in the grain again. What is it? Just exactly like the same grain that went in the ground, the same Jesus in the Bride form, same power, same Church, same thing, same Word. The same Word sucked up through these and come out here, and come to a head here. And all that Life that come through here, picked up its people. Now it's forming up into a head, for the Rapture. Speaking on that tomorrow night, or next night, one, the Lord willing.

       222    Well, you separated from your first union, by spiritual death. Now you are born again, or remarried again, to the new spiritual union; of not your natural life of the things of the world, but of Eternal Life. That germ that was in you at the beginning, found you.

 

SPIRITUAL UNION BY THE WORD, THAT YOU'RE DEAD TO THESE OLD HUSBANDS.

        307    That's my Message to you, Church, you that's a union, spiritual union by the Word, that you're dead to these old husbands. You're born anew. Don't try to dig him up. He's dead. If you're a born-again Christian, that little germ that was predestinated to you, it's Word coming on Word, on Word, on Word, on Word, and come into full statue of Christ, that's right, so He can come get His Bride. Now we're just ready for one thing, that's the Coming of the Lord.

 

OH, THAT SPIRITUAL UNION OF CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH NOW, WHEN THE FLESH IS BECOMING WORD

        266      If I was supposed to die in the morning, a man took my place, I cannot die for that sin. Somebody took my place. 267  And Jesus, the Word, took my place. He become me, that a sinner, that I might become Him, the Word. Amen. Let me hold true to It, not the church. The Word! Amen.  268  Oh, that spiritual union of Christ and His Church now, when the flesh is becoming Word, and the Word is becoming flesh, manifested, vindicated. Just what the Bible said would happen in this day, it's happening, day by day. Why, it's cumulating so fast out there, in those deserts, and things taking place, that I couldn't even keep up with it. We're near the Coming of Jesus, to be united with His Church, where the Word becomes the Word. Call of the Holy Spirit, searching the hearts!

 

UNADULTERATED BRIDE-WORD THAT HE WASHED BY THE WATER OF HIS OWN BLOOD; THAT BECOME FLESH AND MANIFESTED

 

        269      You're standing, completely. You never sinned at the first place. God don't even know. It's in the Sea of Forgetfulness. You never did it. You were accused of it, by the accuser. But really, from the beginning, you were predestinated to be a son and daughter of God. You're standing there, washed. And your old book of divorcement is put away, and it's dead, absolutely out of existence, even in the mind of God.

        270    You're the virtuous Bride of Christ, washed in the Blood of Christ. Precious, virtuous, sinless Son of God standing with a pure, unadulterated Bride-Word that He washed by the Water of His Own Blood; that become flesh and manifested, that He might take you which were predestinated in the bosom of the Father, before the beginning, the same as He was. He was that great attribute of God, called "love."

 

… A PROCESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT; WHAT THEY HAD, PLUS; MAKING IT TILL HE IS PRESSING HIS OWN IMAGE, WHEN THE CHURCH AND CHRIST BECOMES ONE IN UNION.

        102    And when Jesus returns, He'll find a Church that's washed, without spot or wrinkle, and it'll be the same ministry He had. It'll bring back the Headstone.

         103      Like my hand here, in a shadow. It's a shadow, only it's darker as my hand becomes more... It's a negative here, a positive here. As a negative and positive, it gets denser; darker, darker, darker, and finally it claps together, and negative and positive becomes one.

         104    That's when Church and Christ unites together, as a Bride, with the same Spirit that was in Him will be upon Her; when that Church comes from justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost, into the last days, and honing her down now for the Coming of the Lord.

       105    Oh, don't be the rough part on It, Pentecostal brother. Shine up with the Word and believe every bit of It. Don't get out into these ism's and things, as we see going on today. Don't be astonished at that, because the Headstone is coming, crying, "Abba, Father," pretty soon, "My God! My God!" Yes, I believe that with all my heart.

       106    Do you see it? You know what I mean? It's Christ now taking the rags of yesterday, the Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and so forth, and He is putting it through a process. What kind of a process? A process of the Holy Spirit; what they had, plus; making it till He is pressing His Own image, when the Church and Christ becomes one in union. God, grant it! I trust that you see it. If you do see it...

WE ARE A PART OF CHRIST. SEE? THAT'S OUR GRACE, BECAUSE WE ARE IN UNION WITH CHRIST.

        42    A beautiful type of us today, unworthy, worthy of death when we sin, but God cannot kill us, because He would...We are a part of Christ. See? That's our grace, because we are in union with Christ. Isn't that a beautiful thought, union with Christ? So therefore, our sins, when we do them, we ought to quickly confess them, that they're wrong, because God would take our life. But the Blood answers in our place, and God just can't cross that Blood. See? He just can't do it, because it's a promise that He won't do it. So He can't break His Own promise. See? So God's got Himself, as it was, sewed up. See, He can't break His promise. And He promised that through that Blood, whosoever believed had Eternal Life, and He cannot break that promise.

THE REVELATION OF THE THREEFOLD MYSTERY

        580    When, we see all these, great threefold revelation: God in Christ; Christ in the Church; the Kingdom coming. Adam and Eve redeemed back to the Garden of Eden, in the representation of Christ and His Bride, and then the Kingdom is going to be restored according to His promise. Praise be to God! Now, by the revelation of the threefold mystery, the secret, and by the personal vindicated Word by His original Headship!

E-31    "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Peter said, "Jesus of Nazareth, a prophet, anointed, anointed and approved of God among you all, which you all yourself know..."The Bible said also that God anointed Jesus Christ with the Holy Ghost, that He went about doing good, healing the sick. That was the sign that He was what He claimed to be. That's the way God sends it. That's the way it's supposed to come in the last day. And the Holy Spirit that comes in the last days isn't to draw us to a creed, isn't to draw us to a church; It's to draw us to God; and supernatural signs is to follow that Holy Spirit.

YOU STAY RIGHT STRAIGHT IN THE PROMISE OF GOD, THE WORD OF GOD.

Can't you see where we're standing? Life is in the grain again. What is it? The same Word sucked up through these and come out here, and come to a head here. And all that Life that come through here, picked up its people. Now it's forming up into a head, for the Rapture. 222    Well, you separated from your first union, by spiritual death. Now you are born again, or remarried again, to the new spiritual union; of not your natural life of the things of the world, but of Eternal Life. That germ that was in you at the beginning, found you.

  223      Now, your old book is gone, with your old union. Now, your name in your old, in your... has been transferred. Now, you say, "Do you mean to tell me that my old book..." God put it in the Sea of His Forgetfulness. You stand perfectly before God.

224    Now, your name is now in the new Book; not the book of life, but the Lamb's Book of Life, what the Lamb redeemed. Not the old book of your natural union, but your new, Bride. Hallelujah!   308      There is your name on the Book of Life. The Book of Life is the Word of God, 'cause the Word is God, and God is the only thing that is Life. So your name was represented in the Bible before the Bible become on Word. And if you're here to do that, won't It vindicate that Word? YOU'RE THE VIRTUOUS BRIDE OF CHRIST, WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

  269      You're standing, completely. You never sinned at the first place. God don't even know. It's in the Sea of Forgetfulness. You never did it. You were accused of it, by the accuser. But really, from the beginning, you were predestinated to be a son and daughter of God. You're standing there, washed. And your old book of divorcement is put away, and it's dead, absolutely out of existence, even in the mind of God.

270    You're the virtuous Bride of Christ, washed in the Blood of Christ. Precious, virtuous, sinless Son of God standing with a pure, unadulterated Bride-Word that He washed by the Water of His Own Blood; that become flesh and manifested, that He might take you which were predestinated in the bosom of the Father, before the beginning, the same as He was. He was that great attribute of God, called "love."

  75    I believe it was Sunday morning when I was speaking on the virtues of woman, how blessed, who could find a sweeter thing than to come home tired when God has give a man a wife. A woman and a man is inseparable; they are one. In the creation God created them first both together, and they're one heart, soul, mind, and everything. When He made man in the dust of the earth, He separated him from his wife. For the hour is getting darker and darker, as the storm clouds of unbelief and skepticism moves over our beloved nation. So it's time to thrust in the sickle now and get what we can.

        I've often wondered, "Well, Lord, You'll have--have to have to great this, or that before You come." Well, then I read a Scripture here a few weeks ago that changed my opinion on that. You know, the Lord is coming for a great church; that's right. But we've had two thousand years making up that church. They're already waiting out yonder for the resurrection, who went down in the faith, your fathers and mothers who fought to win the prize and sailed through bloody seas. What type of people should we be today? 

        E-5    There isn't one thing left, as I see in the--in the prophetic Word, one thing left or one thing hindering the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ this very hour, not one thing left in the Bible. And the Holy Spirit that comes in the last days isn't to draw us to a creed, isn't to draw us to a church; It's to draw us to God; and supernatural signs is to follow that Holy Spirit.

2    We see all the signs that He said would take place just ere His Coming, now being fulfilled. And with joy we look for that moment. As Abraham of old looked for the promised son, and seeing those last signs of God come down on the earth, then he knew that it wouldn't be long until the son would arrive. And now we see it repeat again. Jesus told us that, "When these things begin to come to pass," to lift up our heads, that our-- our redemption was drawing nigh, "perplexity of the time, distress between nations, earthquakes in divers places, the sea roaring, man's heart failing for fear."

3    We realize that we're in that hour, when the nations don't know what to do. Another war coming up, looks like. What a horrible thing that would be! The earth pulling apart, scientists saying that something terrible is near. We see the Bible speaking of this. Then, Lord, help us today to stand in this house of correction, and take orders from our God, to go forward in this hour of darkness, to shine Light, for it may be our last opportunity to do so. For we ask this in Jesus' Name and for His sake. Amen.

Everything, our whole future is on the coming of the Lord. That's right. That's the hope of those who are asleep, and of we who are alive.

I pray God, that You'll anoint with Your Spirit tonight, and help us all to get a vision of the coming of the Lord, for we believe it's near at hand. May the feeble knees that was once hanged down, the feeble hands hanging down, the knees that's dropped, may we rise tonight in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and be strong, go out in the battle. Buckle on the whole armor of God, and fight till the finish.

BUT I BELIEVE THAT WE'RE LIVING IN THE DAYS JUST BEFORE THE COMING OF THE LORD.THE WHOLE WORLD, DID YOU EVER SEE THE LIKE OF NERVOUSNESS?

E-8    But I believe that we're living in the days just before the coming of the Lord. Now, if it's fanaticism to believe that, then I am a fanatic. But I... Friends, I know this, that I believe that God is fixing to do a real hurrying work.

  E-9    The whole world, did you ever see the like of nervousness? Just to let me tell you, even, every night when I've been here, and I watch the audience. Now, each one, I want every man and woman to be sincere with me.Feeling the pressure when nervous people come to this platform, there's a least, right now in this building, eighty percent of what's setting here is nervous, afflicted with nervous trouble. That's exactly right.

You be sincere with me. Every man and woman, boy or girl in here that has any nervous trouble raise your hands. Raise your hand. What'd I tell you? What's the matter? The Bible said, men's heart failing, more heart troubles, number one disease. Is that right? And fear, sights upon the earth, perplexed of time, distress between the nations; sea roaring, big tidal waves washing away parts of cities and breaking upon the shores, just before the coming.

It is get... It's setting a stage for the greatest drama that was ever acted out in all ages, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.Could you imagine seeing a little lamb out in the field feeding; he becomes nervous. Why is he nervous? He can't see nothing, but back in behind the rushes yonder there's something that's moving. It's a lion, crouching, getting ready to spring on. That's what the nervousness is about.

  E-10    The end is here. I don't know when; no one else does. Who says, "He does." He--he doesn't know. For Jesus said even Himself didn't know. But we know that when these things begin to come to pass, He said, "Lift up our head, redemption's drawing nigh."

Now, we're at the end of the age, and I do not want to try to misrepresent anything. I've never been guilty of that. I've always tried to be honest and true and just as I... true as I could be, first with God. And if I'm true with God, I will be true with His children.And I realize, as I serve His people, I'm serving God. Jesus said, "Insomuch you done it to least of these My little ones, you've done it to Me."

My soul is stimulated to the highest just before the coming of the Lord Jesus, to see something happen that's going to shake the Gentile world before God leaves it. Yes. I'm expecting it in Phoenix. I'm looking for it. I want you to agree with me and expect it.

  E-74    These wise men, they said, "Someday, my father said... Here it is written in the Bible." His father said, his father said, there'd be a star of Jacob rise. When they saw that star when it appeared. They were looking for it. They saw it. The rest of them didn't see it.

Somebody said, "Don't you think them people who cry and shout are all emotional, worked up?" No, sir. No, sir. They're not. "Brother Branham, don't you think it's psychology speaking?" No, sir. I do not. They're expecting something.They're expecting manna from heaven to feed their souls. While they're setting there under expectations, God is under obligation to give them the manna from heaven, 'cause they're expecting it.

You're expecting a meeting, God's under obligation to give it to you.

And I believe, without hesitation to say, that we're nearing a great crisis: the nations are; the world is; that we're just about to the end of the road.Now, I believe that the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, as all Christiandom teaches, that we're just about near that time now.

AND SO GOD HAS ALSO TODAY, HE'S CONSTRUCTING AN ARK FOR THE SAVING OF THE PEOPLE

E-16    And I'm... dread and do not like to say this. After traveling many, many nations and seeing the--the conditions of other nations, and think of our lovely nation here. "It's great," they say, "to be an American." And that's more than a saying. It's a truth.

But in the midst of all of it, in this great civilization we have here, I see the signs of destruction hanging everywhere, because men are walking like they did in the days of Noah, after their own will instead of seeking the will of God.

And our world has become modern. Every civilization that builds up till they hits the climax, then the pinnacle swings, and she goes to the bottom again.And I'm pretty sure, by the reading of the Scripture and the sign posts that we're passing, that we're near the coming of the Lord Jesus, on His second advent to the world. Then He will have one more advent to come.

  E-17    There'll be three advents of the Lord Jesus: The first, to redeem His bride, when He died for her; Second, to receive His bride, when He comes for her; Third, with His bride, for the millennium. And there'll be three advents. And one of them is passed, and the signposts are showing that we're near the second advent of the Lord Jesus. We've tried everything. We've had all kinds of "Big Four" meetings and--and so forth. And the world... Well, communism still sweeps, and the people's minds unsettled and we're just at the--we're at the climax, that's all. We're just a bound to come to the end.

And now, as you see, science has advanced out into the fields and has invented such destructive things as atomic weapons, and atomic bombs, and now hydrogen bombs.

And I understood by radio broadcast the other day, that they have a new weapon now, that can drop and it'll go--spread out fifteen hundred miles one way and three thousand miles the other way, and lay everything desolate, from it's great powerful destructive stroke that it can take. Just think, drop one of those, geographically, at Louisville, Kentucky, and the entire United States will be abolished in a second.There won't be a living plant or anything left on the earth, on the United States, and--and when the bomb drops. Fifteen hundred miles this way and three thousand miles away the... it was a range (or so it was on the radio broadcast, recently, about two weeks ago: I was listening to it).

  E-18    Great signposts pointing... Noah had the same thing. Now, notice, as these great scientists are proving their points today, that what they could do through destruction, and what they can do in medical science, what they can do by automobile mechanics, and so forth, and aviation, power, jet planes...We're living at the end time. We're bound to be at the end.And so God has also today, He's constructing an ark for the saving of the people. And that construction, today, is the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, being reconciled one to the other, coming out of every chaos and recognizing each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus. Bringing forth the ark...

Men of great faith are on the battlefields today, everywhere, battlefields, I mean, in the fields of the harvest, a pounding away. And God is a blessing them and accompanying them with signs, and wonders, and miracles, and so forth, as a sign to this great civilization, that the end time is near. He promised that in the end time. That's one of our mileposts that's hanging out, one of the signs that we're passing.

GET DOWN TO THE ALTAR, AND PRAY UNTIL A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE BURNS DOWN INTO THE HUMAN HEART, AND BURNS OUT ALL THE DULLNESS, AND GIVES A NEW VISION.

And I just wonder, sometimes, if we, the church, knowing that God is promised to deliver the church from it's sin, and from it's sickness, and to make us a people, a salty people that the earth will hunger and thirst after, I wonder, in our human efforts, in our theologies, and so forth, and our great fine buildings, and so forth, that as we tried to present to the people many years ago, and we found that it had failed, because we took it in ourselves to do so.We took it upon ourselves to have new schools, to educate our ministers, and so forth.We left off the real principle, the real thing that God told us to receive, was let the Holy Spirit lead the church. We've left that off, and as--we've lost our Divine joy. We have--the vision is dull now.

People are not looking for the coming of the Lord, and yet atomic bombs hanging in hangars everywhere, and things that would destroy the world at once.But people has lost their vision of the Lord, because they have set times, that the Lord would come at a certain time. And they've done all these things, trying to do it within themselves. We must turn loose and let God do these things.How can we do those things without the Holy Spirit?

And now, Moses had been a bitter failure, but out there now, we see his attention attracted to a burning bush. And he looks to the burning bush to find out what the trouble was. And walking close to it... Fire usually brings an attraction. Usually the Holy Spirit when It comes in a manner of fire, attracts the attention of people. And when Moses turned aside to consider this burning tree that would not burn up, God spoke to him a fresh vision by an Angel.

  E-13    Now, watch faith take a hold, right quick. The old things are passed away, but Moses now has a new vision. He has a revelation. He has an experience. He had met God. He had talked to God.Before that, he had not met God, he'd only read and knowed what his mother had told him by--by hearing what his mother had said or hearing what the pastor had said. But now, Moses has a personal experience.

That's what the church needs tonight, is just stop studying so much theology, and get down to the altar, and pray until a personal experience burns down into the human heart, and burns out all the dullness, and gives a new vision.

THERE'S NOT A--NOT A HOPE LEFT IN THE WORLD BUT THE COMING OF THE LORD.

When things are floating easy, remember, you're going towards a--a great cataract down there, of some sort. You're going towards the falls, and it won't be long you'll be going over that falls. Just floating with the world, easy, the way it goes, you don't want that. No, sir. But you must res-... accept your responsibility.

  79    Now, you believe It, and you've a-... You think It's the Truth.

  80    And the responsibility that God has given us in this day, to bring this Message! And as I get older, and I know my days are shortening up, I feel the responsibility greater than I ever felt. Pressing on, we must do it! We must get down to it, in everywhere we go, and tell the Message; and--and tell the people that Jesus Christ is coming, that He's God and He's coming soon.There's not a--not a hope left in the world but the Coming of the Lord.

8    We are under great anticipations; first, the Coming of the Lord Jesus; the next, the salvation of... to lost souls that would receive Him tonight and be ready for His Coming when He appears.

  124      Now in this hour, this great crisis is on, when we know that this nation is shaking. Not only the nation, but the world is shaking.It's at the end time. There is not another thing that I know to happen but the Rapture, the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's all ready.

125    And we see these gatherings. Oh, get every benefit, this convention coming up, get everything out of it you can get, that's of God. If you haven't got the Holy Ghost, just put it in your mind you're not going to leave here until you get It.That's the way to do it. Stay there, 'cause you... this is, might be your last opportunity. There may never be another convention on this West Coast. It may be beneath the sea, by that time, 'fore another one. So we don't know what could happen, so we... We're looking for the judgments of God to come upon the nations.
