Going To Church

 

E-76    Let me tell you something here today, Christians: When Jesus leaves your home, sickness will be there, don't you worry. Trouble's on it's road when you drive Jesus away. When you put a deck of cards in there, instead of a prayer--a prayer closet, put a card table, all right, trouble's on its road. That's right. When you take some of these old love story magazines and put it in the place of the Bible, trouble's on its road. Don't you worry about that. Yes, sir. When you quit going to church and blow up because the preacher told you it wasn't ladylike to wear shorts, you're on your road; don't worry, trouble is on its road. Just keep on, you'll find out.

  E-77    This case, they hadn't drove Him away, but His ministry, He went away because the Father give Him a vision to go. Trouble come in. Lazarus got sick. We're told by historians that--that Lazarus had something wrong with his lungs. Doctors could do him no good. And they sent for Jesus to come pray for him. You think He come? Huh-uh, He went right on.

Well, they sent again. He didn't come; He went right on. Well, if that'd been you, brother, you'd have went from the Methodist to the Baptist, took your letter over there. "I won't fool with that old pastor any more." You'd went from the Pentecost to the Nazarene. "I--I ain't going to fool with them old people no more." That's the reason God can't do nothing for you. That's right.

E-17    Oh their morals there are so far beyond ours, till ours is not even in the shadow of them. That's right. We have the biggest divorce rooted in the world is in America. Said, "You want to teach us how to divorce our wives and call it Christianity? How to have whiskey stores on every corner, get drunk and carry on? And you call that Christianity? Well, we're better off as Mohammedans." Morally speaking, they are, morally speaking.

When Christianity is the most cleanest, holiest thing there is this side of heaven. But its representatives is what's breaking it up. That's true. It's what those who represent it. We call ourself a Christian nation. We're no more Christian nation than any of the rest of them are. Right. We call ourselves that, but a Christian is an individual experience, a man borned again of the Spirit of God makes a Christian, not a cold confession, going to church and living... Your fruits tells what you are. Is that right? It's true.

79    Notice, "I will give unto him. He that overcomes, I'll give him the Bread of Life." He said that before one of the churches. "And he will not thirst no more, neither shall he hunger no more. He will never thirst no more." If a man ever once... Here it is; get the jacket tightened up tight. If a man or a woman ever truly once receives the Holy Spirit, you'll never be able to move him no more. He knows where he's at. You may come with isms and everything. He will walk right straight through them. "He will never thirst no more." He knows just exactly Who his Maker is, never be confused. Don't bother him; he moves right on.

"I will give to him of the Bread of Life, and he will never hunger no more, and neither will he thirst any more." See? "And the Tree which is in the midst of the paradise of God, and he will eat from (See?), the Tree." Which, the Tree was Christ Jesus. See? And Christ Jesus, being dead, He come back in the form of the Holy Spirit. So He's here, and the manna that's eaten in the Church.

Notice, behold that, the 6th verse.

 And he has made us priests and kings unto God.

Spiritual priesthood, royal nation, spiritual offering... What is it now? Spiritual sacrifices, that is (quoting the Scripture), that is, the fruits of our lips, giving praise to His Name. Now, what kind of a what? A spiritual sacrifice.

  82    Now, now we might as well get started right here, notice, a good place to start from.

When a little confusion comes in the church, you don't run over to one side and pout now. If you are, you sure ain't a priest. See, you pray through: spiritual sacrifice, the fruits of our lips giving praise to His Name. See what I mean?

"Well," you say, "I just don't feel like going to church." But you're a priest. It's your duty. You've got to be there.

"Well, I just don't feel like taking a part in the service." You're a priest, making a sacrifice, a spiritual sacrifice, not giving somebody some hand-me-down, as they call it today. That's all good, I have nothing against it. Not going to get somebody to come to church; that's all good; I have nothing against it. But it's you, you making the spiritual sacrifice, the fruits of your lips giving praise to His Name.

When you see the time coming that everybody blaspheming and saying these things, and doing things wrong, what do you do, walk away? You're supposed to stand there with a spiritual sacrifice, saying, "The Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, makes me a new creature in Christ Jesus."

E-48    Now, did you get that? Then how? See it? Through the Blood, washing of the Blood, taking away, separating of sin, that the Holy Spirit woos the believer through the Blood, cleansing of the soul into the fellowship, into this Spirit Life, inside with Christ, shut out the world, and very nature of God is in you; still subject to mistakes, but God can't see it, because it's covered by the Blood. God can't see through the Blood. Every time He looks through the Blood, it looks white. He looks through the Blood; it looks white.

So if God was so pleased with Christ till He accepted Him, and said, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I'm well pleased."... And through Christ, being the perfect One, us dead to our own thoughts and ideas, being born of the Spirit of God, walking not after the theology, but after the Spirit inside of us, then let the dead in Christ walk not after the things of the world, but after the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:1 said, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, that walk not after the flesh (fighting, war, and strife, envying, selfish things), but after the Spirit."

  E-49    See, you're inside of Christ, walking. Then all the things of the world pass away, all the great creeds that you had of this thing or that thing is all vanished away. And your heart and mind becomes singular on Christ Jesus. That shows you have died to yourself and borned again.

Then just as sure as church time comes, you just can't keep from coming to church. See? You just going to go if you have to hobble. That's all. You're going to church, because the Spirit Itself bears record of gathering together in Christ Jesus.

 

IF YOU KNOW THE LORD JESUS IS COMING, OH, YOU'RE GOING TO CHURCH REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE WEATHER LOOKS LIKE OR ANYTHING ELSE.

E-33    So if somebody says, "Just stay home tonight and look at the television. It's too bad to go out." Don't you worry. If you know the Lord Jesus is coming, oh, you're going to church regardless of what the weather looks like or anything else. You're going to stay right there. For we're expecting something to happen at any time.

When we see Moscow with guided missiles, who could take this whole nation in one hour and never leave Moscow... Just send up this rocket like that with explosions in it, that's blowed so many thousand miles and guide it through the stars and radar, drop it right on Manhattan here, three or four of them at a time. And there'll be a--for fifteen miles each way would be hole in the ground a hundred and seventy feet deep. What would you do?

Or maybe let loose a hundred or two of them on the major cities at one time, in one hour's time, there'd be no more United States and no more world, set up a chain reaction and cause a total annihilation. What could it do? What are you going to run to? Used to say, "Get a bomb shelter." They say now, "That's nonsense."

  E-34    But we got a bomb shelter. Amen. You know what it's made out of? Feathers: under His wings (Amen.) to be carried away, a bomb shelter of safety, certainly...

Oh, my, how this prophet, he wasn't discouraged. He said, "No, and as Lord liveth and your soul liveth, I'm going to stay right with you." So they go on to the school of prophets. The other fellow said, "You stay here for I'm going to Jordan." He said, "As the Lord liveth, I'm not going to leave you."

On down to the Jordan they went to cross Jordan. Then Elisha turned around and said to Eli--Elijah said to Elisha, "What do you desire? What you hanging around for?" Oh, my, I like that. "What you hanging around for? What do you desire?"

COMING STORM WHICH HAS GOT TO STRIKE EVERY MAN AND EVERY WOMAN THAT'S BORN IN THE WORLD.

 

        41    Jesus was speaking here of a coming storm which has got to strike every man and every woman that's born in the world. There is just no way out of it. That storm will strike you sometime or other. And depends on what kind of a foundation that you have, whether your house will weather it or not.

        There's been many lives saved because of preparation for storms. And there has been a many of life's lost because of failing to take heed to the warning of storms that's coming.

IT WASN'T THE MESSENGER; IT WAS THE MESSAGE HE HAD.

 

        Oh, you might laugh at the messenger; you might be able even to kill him; but you cannot kill the message. It'll go on just the same. God's message is eternal. His Words will never fail.

        Paul was successfully in having Stephen stoned. But all through his life until he surrendered to Christ, was he never able to get away from that message, "I see heavens open and Jesus standing at the right hand of God." Something got ahold of him. It wasn't the messenger; it was the message he had.

 

THE FIRST THING TO DO, BEFORE THERE CAN BE A WARNING, THERE HAS TO BE A PREPARATION MADE FOR SAFETY

 

62    Oh, it pays to take warning. The first thing to do, before there can be a warning, there has to be a preparation made for safety, or there's no need of sending a warning. And the warning is only a voice of one having you to prepare for the danger. There has to be a preparation made first.

And then if the preparation is made, then the warning can go forward to cause you to make your decision whether you want to listen to it or not. If you don't want to listen to it, well, that's up to you. If you do listen to it, there's safety.

GREAT STORMS THAT SWEEPS THROUGH FLORIDA, TYPHOONS THAT COME IN OFF THE SEA, AND BRINGS THE WATER FOR CITY BLOCKS UP INTO THE CITY, AND SWEEPS OUT EVERYTHING.

  43    Not long ago I was told of a story that happened, I believe I read it in a newspaper down in Florida.

They have many great storms that sweeps through Florida, typhoons that come in off the sea, and brings the water for city blocks up into the city, and sweeps out everything. And I'm told that their weather prophets are always on the lookout for such storms. And some way, through the--the elements, that they can contact the changing of the weather and the atmosphere, that which a way this weather is gathering, that'll bring forth one of those storms; because they've made it a life study, and by certain instruments and things that science has provided them. And then by calling ahead, and hearing of which a way the storm's coming, how much wind it's got behind him; which way other storms are coming, or of winds, whether it's able to combat, to shove away the storm.

  45    I could stop here and preach for a hour on that, that it takes a greater storm that's coming; it takes a higher wind to turn that storm. So is it today. And we all know that we've got an oncoming storm. And the only Wind that I know that can turn that storm will be that rushing Wind that fell on the day of Pentecost. I'm told that there's men even in the city now, speaking against communism, and they should be. But just speaking against it isn't enough; we've got to find how to turn the thing. And then there is only one thing that can turn that storm, and that's a more powerful storm that can beset it and change its course.

  46    And these prophets of the weather in Florida are pretty accurate with their prophesying. They are set for that purpose to warn the people.

I was reading (I forget just now, I believe it was in the newspaper.) of a storm a few years ago, that was on its way across Florida, central Florida, and all the regions around Okeechobee was--was warned. I just left there about five weeks ago. And there was a neighbor man who kept in contact with radio all the time, because of these storms, and he was a very renowned Christian. And he heard that the great typhoon was coming that way, twisting down trees, and everyone was warned to get to safety.

And he thought of his neighbor who had a chicken farm, and some light buildings with their chickens in them, their brooder houses, and so forth, and their pens, where all that they had in life was tied up with these chickens, of their living. And he rushed quickly, frantically, up to the gate, and stopped his car, and jumped out, and said to this fellow, "Take all the chickens and put them in your storm shelter, and you rush over to mine, because there is coming a typhoon or a--a storm that's going to twist everything down."

  49    And the man stood and looked him in the face, and laughed at him, and said, "Nonsense. I've heard them predict such things before, and it never did happen."

And the Christian neighbor was so excited; he said, "But what if it does happen?"

We hear remarks like that along the line; "I've heard of this is going to happen, and that's going to happen." But it is going to happen one of these days. And it behooves us to listen to every warning.

  52    But this man said, "I have no time for such foolishness. I raise chickens, and I have no time for such."

And he cried out. The neighbor said, "In the Name of God," he said, "leave those chickens alone then, John, and come quickly, you and your family. If you don't want to believe it, let your family come."

And he said, "I will not have my children to be excited over a few radio warnings. My children and I have decided we'll live as I live. And my wife will listen to me because I am the breadwinner of this home, and she must listen to me. I'm boss here, and I will not have my children all excited or tore up about some nonsense."

And the neighbor was turned. And he went to his home into his shelter.

 

IT PAYS TO TAKE WARNING.

  56    And all of a sudden, the cloud was upon him before they knew it. That's the way judgment strikes. It comes so sudden; you wonder how it can get there so quick. How I have seen cruel men, who once cursed God, fall and scream, and say, "How could You treat me this way?" The whole, every foundation was swept out from under him in a moment. It pays to take warning.

  59    While the storm swept through the country, it caught the chicken house and the farmer, and they never found his body. And his wife, frantically fighting... And they lived close to the great Okeechobee Lake, and the waters begin to rise as the typhoon lifted the waters all the way from the bottom of the lake. That's what makes them so dangerous; they're shallow; the boats rock, and that's how the waves come up and turn the boats beneath them. The storms comes and just whirls up the water and packs it for miles. And the water is sweeping, until the mother knowed there was no hope but to get her children on top of the building. And she got her children, and got them on top the building, holding onto the chimney of the house.

  61    And then the wildlife, the Cottonmouth moccasin, I believe, a more deadly snake than your Diamondback rattler, they was crawling for safety, and they come on the roof with her. And by listening to her husband, not taking heed to the warning, she had to... She stomped and she beat, but she had to stand and watch those vicious snakes bite her children until they died on the roof. And the mother herself was bitten so much until finally she died; that's the only way we got the story. After the storm had quietened, and the search parties hunting for bodies, and so forth, they found her laying on top of the roof, with her children laying by her side.

Isa 6:4  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Isa 6:5  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

Isa 6:6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

Isa 6:7  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

THESE PEOPLE IN THIS CHANNEL IS INFLUENCED FROM TWO DIFFERENT SIDES.

Here, let's give a little picture here, a little mental picture. Here's a stream right through here, right down through this way, coming down through life (Now, watch as it channels. Give me your undivided attention now, so you won't miss this.), right down like this. Now, in this little channel here dwells mortal beings, you and I. And now, in there, let's look what it is. It's a mass of frolic and everything else, but once in a while you'll see a light. You see blackness and streaks; that's gaiety and carrying-on, devils getting the people. Oh, they dress fine, my, and highly cultured as they can be, polished scholars, but still the devil. But there's borned again setting in there.

SERAPHIMS HAD TO USE WINGS, GOD'S PROVIDED WAY TO HIDE THEIR FACE, … REVERENCE IN HIS PRESENCE!

        121    And when he did, he looked up and he saw these Seraphims. They had two wings over Their faces, and two wings over Their feet, and were flying with two wings, crying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty! Holy, holy, holy, all of God is holy! Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!"

        122      Let's look at the vision the prophet saw, and break it down. Two wings covered Their faces.Think of it, even holy Angels had to hide Their sinless faces, to stand in the Presence of God. Was given wings to hide Their face, in the Presence of the holy God! How are you and I going to stand There, if the Seraphims had to use wings, God's provided way to hide Their face, to stand in His Presence, to sing, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty"? Reverence in His Presence!

NOW NOTICE, SECONDLY, WITH TWO WINGS THEY COVERED THEIR FEET

128    Now notice, secondly, with two wings They covered Their feet. What did that mean? Humility before God, in His Presence.

        129    Like Moses at the burning bush, took off his shoes, when he heard Him say, "I AM THAT I AM.“ Paul, on his road down to Damascus, he--he fell on his face.

        130    John, when he saw the--the Spirit of God above Jesus, he said, "I have need to be baptized of Thee, and why comest Thou unto me?"

        131      Here is a good example. Always be conscious of your littleness, not your bigness.

AND THIRD SET OF WINGS, NOW, HE PUT HISSELF INTO ACTION.

        135      Thirdly, He could fly by the other two.

        136    Now remember, two, He covered His face, in the Presence of God, and to be reverent. Secondly, the two wings over His feet meant humility, before God. And third set of wings, now, He put Hisself into action. He could fly with them two wings, see. Two over His face, two over His feet, and flying with two, now what was it? Reverence, humility, and in action.

        137    God showed the prophet how His prepared servant must be; reverent, humble, and in action. Now he seen something different from Uzziah produced. He was showing the prophet what he must be, not like Uzziah, but to be like these Heavenly Cherubims. And if you want to look at a king, a earthly king... Look at a Heavenly One, exalted above all the Heavens, and His train filled the Heavens.

EVERYBODY JUST THINKS HE IS SO SECURED…

        123    Now we don't have any reverence to God. Everybody just thinks he is so secured, till they--they don't--they don't reverent God like they should. Why? Why do they do this? Because they're not conscious of His Presence. That's the reason people do that. They, they don't recognize It. They can't, they can't comprehend that they're in the Presence of God. Their minds become so perverted and taken up in the things of the world, till they don't even pay any attention to It. They go to church, sure. But to realize that you're in the Presence of God! Not only in a church; wherever you are, you're in the Presence of God.

        124    If they could do as David said, "I put the Lord always before my face, therefore I shall not be moved."As long as the Lord was before him, he could not be moved.

REVERENCE IN HIS PRESENCE!

        122      Let's look at the vision the prophet saw, and break it down. Two wings covered Their faces. Think of it, even holy Angels had to hide Their sinless faces, to stand in the Presence of God. Was given wings to hide Their face, in the Presence of the holy God! How are you and I going to stand There, if the Seraphims had to use wings, God's provided way to hide Their face, to stand in His Presence, to sing, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty"? Reverence in His Presence!

LET THE WORD OF GOD INFLUENCE YOU.

        163    See, those things could happen, and it'll be a past time and you won't know it. You can't afford to take that kind of a chance. Don't do it, friends. Come in while you can. Don't be influenced by some great big building, some great big organization, some great high-polished scholar. Let the Word of God influence you. That's exactly what caused those apostles. When they seen that Word made manifest, that influenced them, "We are sure!"

YOU HONOR GOD, YOU LOVE GOD, YOU RESPECT GOD; AND GOD IS THE WORD.

        125    And these Heavenly sacrifice burners with wings over Their faces, and crying, "Holy, holy, holy," to stand in the Presence of God, what will happen to a sinful people that won't reverence God

        126      You say, "Well, Brother Branham, you just said They were provided with two wings."

        127    And you are provided with something, too, the Blood of Jesus Christ.That's your covering.That, you don't stand as a Seraphim, you don't stand as a Cherubim, you don't stand as an Angel. But, you stand as a redeemed son or daughter of God, by this Blood.You don't have to have these wings that They had. They're a special covering for Them in that Presence. But you've got the Blood of Jesus Christ for a covering, to stand There.Now how... Now, you, if you've got that Blood, then you honor God, you love God, you respect God; and God is the Word.

 

        93      If you're a good housewife, if God has blessed you as a housewife and made you loyal and true, sister, you just continue to be that.Don't get thinking, you, God called you to be a preacher, or--or a deacon, or something else.

        94    And--and you do the same, man. Wherever God has blessed you, there abide, 'cause that's where He has set you at. You do just what He tells you to do, and see where He blesses you.

        …..98    Hold yourself clean and clear, to your calling. Stay with God's Word and don't move for nothing. And stay, abide in your calling.If He give you a job out there, as a farmer, farm good. God bless you at it, and pay your tithes and whatever it is, your offerings, to help the ministry go on. If He made a mechanic out of you, and blessed you in that work, stay with it and thank Him for it. See? You just abide where God calls you.

NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT IT WAS, STAY TRUE TO THAT WORD.

80    And it made him a great man. He ignored the politics of that day, and the popular opinions, and served God with a true heart. That's the kind of a president we need. That's the kind of a--a leader we need over the people of any nation, anywhere. His kingdom was next to Solomon's. There was nothing... God just blessed him and held back no blessing, because he served Him.

        81    And this was a great help to young Isaiah, because that he seen how God would bless them that was true to His Word. No matter how difficult it was, stay true to that Word.  And it's an example today, also, to us, to stay true to the Word.  And it had a great influence upon him.

HE HAD BEEN INFLUENCED WHEN HE SEEN JESUS RESURRECTED FROM THE DEAD; INFLUENCED FOR HIS DEATH…

        188      Finally, at the end of the road, when they were going to crucify Him, kill Him, and he run out of the city. And on the road out, as the history tells us, he was running for his life, getting out of the city, and he meet Jesus coming back. He said, "Where goest thou?" Simon, or Simon said to Him, "Where goest Thou, Lord?"

        189    He said, "I'm going back in the city to be crucified again."

        190    Simon turned and went back. And when they got him, said, don't... They put him on a cross. Said, "Don't hang me like that. Put my head down, and my feet up!"

        191    He had been influenced when he seen Jesus resurrected from the dead; influenced for his death, he was influenced for anything. He went into action. Death couldn't even stop it. The crucifixion couldn't stop it. He was influenced by Jesus.

222      But when he confessed that he was wrong, there was a cleansing power. He took a coal of Fire. Did you notice how God...

    223    We see how God set His servants in order, and what He fixed Him with; how He could, being humble, reverent, and put Hisself in action.

    224    Watch, when He cleansed the servant, He never done it by a seminary. He never done it by a bunch of books. We find here that God cleanse His servants by Fire. A coal of Fire touched the prophet, cleaned his lips. God cleans His servants by His Holy Fire. Not by books, not by education, theology; but He cleaned His servant by Fire.

   225    Then as soon as he was confessed and cleansed, then followed the commission. First he had to confess, then he had to be cleansed, and now it's the commission. It was then that the cleansed Isaiah cried... When he heard the Voice of God, said, "Who will go for Us?"

E-64    Pentecostal people, let me say this with love, "That's the reason you're not getting anywhere. See? You've got gifts. You, Baptists, the same way. The gifts that's in the church, God give the church, the power, but He never took it away from the church. I can show you where He give it to the church, you show me where He took it away. You've got the power, but you don't know how to use it. You're not reverent enough. That's the reason you all speaking with tongues, you just use it any way. Ever--every... Some be speaking in tongues; others doing this, and... just like a Babylon. Don't to that. Put those things in their places. Put all your gifts in there, you're teachers, you're apostles. Put everything in it's place, and then operate in decency and in order. You'll find God is a God of order, and He will bring the thing right up then.

That's what made the people afraid of you, because it's the way you've acted with the--what God give you. See? Reverence those gifts. Just don't make them a little happen, fly by night. Test them. If they're of God, if they prove to be God, then they're God. If they are not, get the thing away from you. You don't want it. Why receive a substitute, when the pentecostal skies are full of the real. That's what the trouble...

  217      Now the effects of such a vision, and we're closing. Start praying for the sick, in a few minutes. Now the effects of such a vision. What did the effects do to this prophet? I wonder about a preacher, I wonder about an evangelist, or a pastor? Look what a vision of This done, and what he seen, what had happened to self-styled Uzziah. And then, though a great man that God had honored, the great thing, they seen it dead. What effects did it have on the prophet?

218    Here is what it did. It caused him to confess himself to be a sinner for associating with such. He confessed, "I'm a man of unclean lips, and I've been dwelling among people with unclean lips." Making him con-... a prophet, not a preacher. A prophet confessed that he was a sinful man, because he had been associating with such.

  219      Then what? When he confessed his sins, then come the cleansing. Oh, you cannot be clean from your sin until you confessed it's sin, till you recognize it's sin. Then come the cleansing, as soon as he said, "Woe is me, for my eyes have seen the vindication of a great God. The Angels, the Burners, the Sacrificers are here, and the posts is moving at Their Voice, and here They are in this vision, flying back and forth." He had saw something real. A vision had come down. He said, "I'm a man of unclean lips, and I dwell among unclean people." Said, he cried out for mercy and called himself a sinner.

220    Then what happened? One of the Cherubims went over to the altar, and took the tongs and picked up a live coal, and put it on His hand. Not carry it in a tong now; picked up the coal, put it on His hand, and come and laid it upon the prophet's lips, and said, "Thy iniquity..."

221    Iniquity, what is iniquity? Iniquity is something that you know it's wrong, and still holding to it. When you know your creeds are wrong, and you still hold to it, that's iniquity.

  226      Look at back in history, when you're reading this, when you go home, what had happened to Israel. She had got the same (where) place we are. They had called... All their sacrifices and things had become a tradition to them. There was no sincerity. They didn't honor the Word of God. That's when God raised up Isaiah, to tell him them sacrifices stunk in His nose. He didn't want them. They were blasphemy to Him, then He didn't want no more to do with them. And when... This Isaiah was cleaned and ready to go preach the Gospel then.

  227      And the Voice of God said, "Now there is a need. These things has got to be told." And one Voice said to the other, the Angels flying, said, "Who will go for Us?"

228    Then Isaiah, with a clean heart; cleansed, confessed, cleansed and commissioned, the vision; said, "Here am I, Lord, send me. Send me. Here am I, send me."

229    God, send Your holy Angels again today. Find Your Isaiah somewhere, my prayer. I--I'm not... I'm just saying this 'cause I know He's here.

When the coal of Fire had touched the prophet,

Making him as clean as clean could be,

When the Voice of God said, "Who will go for Us?"

Then he answered, "Master, here am I, send me."

230    He wasn't afraid then with the Word. He was a prophet; the Word could come to him. He was... All of his unbelief and traditions was gone. He could stand before that traditional age, and tell them, "Your sacrifices stinks in the nose of God. And the very God that you claim to serve, will destroy you." That's what He said. "The God that you claim you're serving, will destroy you," and He did it.

They said, "A sign!"

  231      Isaiah wrote sixty-six chapters in his Book, and there is sixty-six Books in the Bible. He starts off with the beginning of creation, and ends up in the Millennium just like the entire Bible does.

232    That great prophet of God, who was willing to confess that all their traditions was wrong; and get down there and get cleansed, and so the Word of God could come to him. Then he said, "I'm ready to go, Lord. I'm ready. I'll speak what You say speak. I'll say what You say say." He was ready to go.

233    God, bring the Angels again, this afternoon, the Holy Ghost and Fire, and cleanse my brothers' hearts, everywhere. May they be such influences till others will see and want to follow, too.

Isa 6:2  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

Isa 6:3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Isa 6:4  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Isa 6:5  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

Isa 6:6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

YOUR LIFE IS A WRITTEN EPISTLE READ OF ALL MAN.

        56    Now, you know, there is somebody that you are influencing. Your life is a written epistle read of all man. Therefore, if your life isn't according to your testimony, or your testimony according to your life, rather, then there is... you are putting a stumbling block in somebody's way, for somebody is watching you. Some little child is watching his mother, watching his dad.

WHAT OUGHT CHRISTIANS TO DO? WE'RE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE KING.

70    What ought Christians to do? We're sons and daughters of the King. Though we're an aliens, let's act like sons and daughters. Women, let your hair grow out. Quit wearing them clothes that you wear, immoral and things. Man, get back to where a man ought to be. Don't... Act like sons and daughters of God. You're an alien here, but, remember, we are sons of the King.

        71    See the influence that the man had upon the rest of them, his moral kept the rest of them's hopes high.

THESE PEOPLE IN THIS CHANNEL IS INFLUENCED FROM TWO DIFFERENT SIDES.

        Here, let's give a little picture here, a little mental picture. Here's a stream right through here, right down through this way, coming down through life (Now, watch as it channels. Give me your undivided attention now, so you won't miss this.), right down like this. Now, in this little channel here dwells mortal beings, you and I. And now, in there, let's look what it is. It's a mass of frolic and everything else, but once in a while you'll see a light. You see blackness and streaks; that's gaiety and carrying-on, devils getting the people. Oh, they dress fine, my, and highly cultured as they can be, polished scholars, but still the devil. But there's borned again setting in there.

        Now, these people in this channel is influenced from two different sides.

        192    Now, these people in this channel is influenced from two different sides. Now, on this side going this a-way there's a trinity. And on this side going this a-way there's a trinity. Now, when, now the first place, on this side, is souls of the unjust. When a man dies he goes into a place waiting judgment. Jesus went and preached to them souls that were in prison there. The next is demons. The next is the devil and hell. Going up, the first... Now, them in there is ghosts, spirits of dead men that never repented. They're waiting for the judgment. The only thing they know is frolic and what they did.

        Now, up here, these Christians are influenced from above. This is parable. Up here is another Ghost, the Holy Ghost, the Ghost of a Man, Christ Jesus. The Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost influences His church in this realm of mortal. The devil, by these spirits, influence men. Now, look, the next is Angels. The next is God. Now, every mortal here is influenced by one of these worlds. You see what I mean?

    196    Now, what that woman done, she broke into that realm, and she's speaking to those demon-possessed men who were beginning, the spirits of those fallen angels that repented not back there in the beginning, and allowed their beings to be possessed of them, and they're waiting for judgment. And these over here are influenced and born again by the Spirit of God. And the devil has his prophets, and God has His. See what I mean? It's influence, and there we go. Stop to separate it. Jesus, when He was here on earth... Now, today He could not break into that realm and get a righteous man out of that realm; he couldn't do it, 'cause righteous men are not in there where they used to be in paradise. No, sir. Paradise was done away with when the Blood of Jesus took it away. Looky here. My!

        349      And you people with these saw-blade tempers, that's always spouting off in the mouth at somebody, can't put up, and things like that. Be careful. You're guilty if you speak a word (against your brother) that's not right, not just, go around and tear down it. You don't have to stick a knife in a man's back to kill him. You can break his character and kill him, kill his influence. Speak against your pastor here, say something bad about him, you just might as well as shot him. Told something that wasn't right about him, well, it'll kill his influence with the people and things like that, and you're guilty of it. THIS UZZIAH, THIS YOUNG SHEPHERD BOY, WAS A--A GREAT INFLUENCE UPON THIS YOUNG PROPHET.

72      We find out that this king, Uzziah, was a shepherd boy in the days of Isaiah, the prophet. Isaiah was a prophet.

        74    And Isaiah was a prophet of the Lord, and he had been taken to the temple. And he had... This Uzziah, this young shepherd boy, was a--a great influence upon this young prophet. Because, Uzziah, in Second Chronicles 26, tells us that he had became king of Israel when he was just sixteen years old. His father Amaziah died, and he took his place, to rule, as it was the custom that the--the son succeeded the--the king. And they took and made him king when he was just sixteen years old. And had his father, Uzziah... Amaziah was a--was a great man. He was a--a--a godly man. And having this godly parent, well, it made him do the thing that was right, because he was influenced by his father. See?

79      So this young fellow was such an influence upon this, the young king was an influence on--on the young prophet. And he leaned upon the arm of this prophet, because that he—he knowed he was a prophet. And he had him right with him all the time, and to--to draw his influence from his visions, and so forth, from God, to know how to conduct his kingdom.

        80    And it made him a great man. He ignored the politics of that day, and the popular opinions, and served God with a true heart. That's the kind of a president we need. BUT WE FIND OUT THAT THIS GUY HAD TAKEN THIS ATTITUDE IN DOING THE THING HE DID.

102      But we find out that this guy had taken this attitude in doing the thing he did. What happened to him? The Lord struck him with leprosy, right there in the building. And what is leprosy the type of? Sin, unbelief. There is no other sin but unbelief."He that believeth not is condemned already."And sin is the only unbelief there is.

        110      Now we find out, this man got all haughty and puffed up, and his face got red, and he turned around and tell them priests, and, the first thing you know, he broke out with leprosy. Right there in his rage, he was smitten. He never did get over it. What? Disbelieving the Word of God that was trying to be told to him.

        111    There is a real example in that. Notice. He was... He disbelieved, and, in his anger, he was smitten with leprosy; and died, out in his own home, was never permitted to the kingdom anymore, the king's place. His son had to take his place and--and help the best they could, and he was left like that until he died. Now, you see, he never did recover.

 

GOD ORDERS HIS MAN TO THE JOB, NOW, ORDERS HIM TO HIS PLACE.

        113      So this king, no matter how much God loved him, what a great man he was, how much degrees he had, yet he done wrong and he had to reap what he sowed. And every man will have to do it.

        114    Then was a lesson to the young prophet. Then was a real lesson! By this, Isaiah learned that God orders His man to his place, Himself. Not what somebody else orders. God orders His man to the job, now, orders him to his place. He is not try to take another's place.

        115    The vision, the thing was so great until it drove this prophet to the temple, to pray.

        116    I wonder, today, if we would see the death of the churches, to see the--the dying out of the people, from the Spirit, going on back and serving their creeds, if it oughtn't to drive believers to their knees.

        117    It made a real believer, an ordained believer, Isaiah the prophet, go to his knees. He went to the temple, and there he begin to pray.

        118    And, in the temple, he saw God on His throne, lifted way up high. God was going to show him what to look at. Not look at one another; look up there to what He is, what, He lifted up high on His throne.

*EVERYBODY JUST THINKS HE IS SO SECURED, TILL THEY--THEY DON'T--THEY DON'T REVERENT GOD LIKE THEY SHOULD.

•       123    Now we don't have any reverence to God.Everybody just thinks he is so secured, till they--they don't--they don't reverent God like they should. Why? Why do they do this? Because they're not conscious of His Presence. That's the reason people do that. They, they don't recognize It. They can't, they can't comprehend that they're in the Presence of God. Their minds become so perverted and taken up in the things of the world, till they don't even pay any attention to It. They go to church, sure. But to realize that you're in the Presence of God! Not only in a church; wherever you are, you're in the Presence of God.

•       124    If they could do as David said, "I put the Lord always before my face, therefore I shall not be moved."As long as the Lord was before him, he could not be moved.

 

THEY WERE PROVIDED WITH TWO WINGS."

        125    And these Heavenly sacrifice burners with wings over Their faces, and crying, "Holy, holy, holy," to stand in the Presence of God, what will happen to a sinful people that won't reverence God

        126      You say, "Well, Brother Branham, you just said ,They were provided with two wings."

        127    And you are provided with something, too, the Blood of Jesus Christ.That's your covering.That, you don't stand as a Seraphim, you don't stand as a Cherubim, you don't stand as an Angel. But, you stand as a redeemed son or daughter of God, by this Blood.You don't have to have these wings that They had. They're a special covering for Them in that Presence. But you've got the Blood of Jesus Christ for a covering, to stand There. Now how... Now, you, if you've got that Blood, then you honor God, you love God, you respect God; and God is the Word.

 

NOW NOTICE, SECONDLY, WITH TWO WINGS THEY COVERED THEIR FEET

128    Now notice, secondly, with two wings They covered Their feet. What did that mean? Humility before God, in His Presence.

        129    Like Moses at the burning bush, took off his shoes, when he heard Him say, "I AM THAT I AM.“ Paul, on his road down to Damascus, he--he fell on his face.

        130    John, when he saw the--the Spirit of God above Jesus, he said, "I have need to be baptized of Thee, and why comest Thou unto me?"

        131      Here is a good example. Always be conscious of your littleness, not your bigness.

 

AND THIRD SET OF WINGS, NOW, HE PUT HISSELF INTO ACTION.

135      Thirdly, He could fly by the other two.

        136    Now remember, two, He covered His face, in the Presence of God, and to be reverent. Secondly, the two wings over His feet meant humility, before God. And third set of wings, now, He put Hisself into action. He could fly with them two wings, see. Two over His face, two over His feet, and flying with two, now what was it? Reverence, humility, and in action.

        137    God showed the prophet how His prepared servant must be; reverent, humble, and in action. Now he seen something different from Uzziah produced. He was showing the prophet what he must be, not like Uzziah, but to be like these Heavenly Cherubims. And if you want to look at a king, a earthly king... Look at a Heavenly One, exalted above all the Heavens, and His train filled the Heavens.

LET THE WORD OF GOD INFLUENCE YOU.

        163    See, those things could happen, and it'll be a past time and you won't know it. You can't afford to take that kind of a chance. Don't do it, friends. Come in while you can. Don't be influenced by some great big building, some great big organization, some great high-polished scholar. Let the Word of God influence you. That's exactly what caused those apostles. When they seen that Word made manifest, that influenced them, "We are sure!"
